Hello once again my ever lovely peeps!
So here we go again and i have to be honest, this one was a bit harder for me to write. I had a lot of shit to write, choices to make and decisions to make on what to introduced to in this chapter. Ultimately i decide to just go for broke, cut down the middle and move things along by completing the fight scene with Xero and Levi vs Taskmaster and Kenny.
It won't be a long fight mind you but it will be setting the stage for their second round, as clearly things won't be settled during the first one, For people like those two, there's always a round two. So we also have an unexpected guest arriving, not really looking to crash the party but met the Reaper himself.
Who is it, look down and find out, as i own nothing.
So please read, review and "What the fuc-BOOM"
Chapter 5: The Clash Of Titans
"You've got to be kidding me."
Roman Torchwick was a man on a mission, one that would either spell his salvation or doom if it wasn't played right. He was a gambling man and right now, he and his loyal partner in crime, Neapolitan or Neo for short, were taking the biggest gamble he's ever played:
Try to sway the Avengers to their side.
Or at the very least, get their leader, the Grimm Reaper to see them as something of value, so he'd protect them from miss fire and brimstone aka CindBITCH Fall. The two criminals knew for a fact, they're days were numbered.
The second Fall had what she wanted, she'd thrown him and Neo away like an old pair of shoes or worse, ensure he'd take the fall for her actions. Hell, actually shoes would probably get better treatment then he and Neo were getting from that damned witch but that's beside the point. The fact she strong armed him and threaten Neo into working for her, only reinforced that fact to Roman. During the time he's been...working for the damn fire witch, he's been desperately searching for a way out from under her thumb.
But so far, he had no luck.
None of his contacts, not even his old friend, Junior could find anything on her or her lackeys, aside from the sliver haired boy. Seems old Marcus had a son and that said son, killed him.
Which did not boon well for Roman, as Marcus Black was a top tier assassin in the underworld. Not only was the bastard good at killing anyone, be it human, Faunus, criminal, police officer, huntsman, warrior, bandit, politician, GRIMM just about anyone and everyone you could think of, this guy could take them down. Not only was he skilled but his semblance, was a dangerous one to boot.
He wasn't sure what he called it but Roman knew for a fact, Marcus could steal other semblances and use them like they were his own. Semblances vavired from person to person, no semblance was equal to another. Some were weaker then others and others were greater then many others.
So to hear the man kicked the bucket, done in by his own son no less, didn't surprise Roman as much as he'd thought it would.
Marcus was a bastard in every sense of the world and the poor woman who'd been stupid enough to sleep with him had made the smart choice to leave at the first chance she got. To bad she didn't think to take the kid but just one look at his face, Roman could see Marcus in him alright, so he supposed he shouldn't be surprised at that fact either.
So when he heard the man died, Roman didn't shed a tear over him, he doubted anyone would.
Originally Roman didn't even considered it his problem, until the fire bitch brought the man's well trained son to threaten him and Neo into submission. True, he was confident he and Neo could take on sliver and greenie but Cinder?
No.
That witch was on a complete different level.
Hence why he did, what could probable be considered the stupidest thing in the history of stupid things, for a master thief like himself.
In his desire to save not only his skin but Neo's too(And quite possible all of Vale itself, as you couldn't rob from the dead and he had a strict policy on killing indiscriminately) Roman decide to bribe his way into the new world and was praying to whatever god was listening, that his plan would work. Mind you, it wasn't easy and with his own skills as a conman and Neo's tricky semblance, they were able to make it here.
If only the skin of their teeth, the security of the new world was so much more advanced then in Remnant, making it an nightmare to get in the USA, even harder to get into New York but it was well worth it.
This whole new world had offered Roman many new items, places and people he could use to get away from the fire bitch, but one stood out among them. One that he knew, if he were to succeed, he would need him on the his side.
Or Roman placing himself on the Reaper's side as he was more then willingly to throw his lot in behind the kid, he didn't care one way or another how it worked. Sadly his plan hinged, on Roman using his sliver tongue and years of experience to execute it to not only survive but stick it to Cinder at the same time.
The plan in question you ask?
Offer his services, skills as a huntsman/master thief and knowledge of both Remnant and it's underworld to the Grimm Reaper(And the Avengers) in hopes, he see Roman as a valuable asset.
Valuable was good.
Valuable is what he needed to be.
Being valuable meant his survival, for you see, being valuable meant he WASN'T disposable and there was a good chance, if he could prove himself useful to the kid, he would be given protection. If not from Vale's legal system, which would be a nice bonus, he'd protect him and Neo from miss Fire and Brimstone along with her lackeys.
The plan wasn't all that thought out and admittedly wasn't one of his best but Roman was a desperate man.
Desperate times call for desperate measures and believe me, these were very desperate measures for the notorious thief. It could go wrong in a million ways, with the kid outright killing him and Neo, saving Cinder the trouble of it being the top of how bad this could go.
"Snort. What's the difference, we're dead men walking unless we find someway out of this. Let's hope, Lady Luck will shine on me once more."
Feeling Neo's eyes boring into his skull, Roman spoke while watching the soldiers began to fight, what looked like mercenaries just seconds after that white van exploded,"Yeah Neo, it's a real shit show. But the plan remains unchanged, we need to do this and if we fail, well we're screwed either way. Win or fail, this will be our biggest gamble yet."
Roman was a gambling man and he had every intention of winning this one.
He had too.
Otherwise, he and Neo were sunk...along with all of Vale itself.
Elsewhere
Whitley Schnee was not a fighter, in any shape or form.
Father has always said fighting was below people like them, those that truly knew and truly did good that helped keep Remnant going. After all, the SDC IS what mined and refined the bloodline that keep Remnant going aka Dust. They, using said Dust, supplied Remnant's only REAL army, with it and the rest of Remnant to supply it's brave Huntsman and Huntress in their fight against the Grimm.
Unlike the other three kingdoms, Atlas did not have to worry too much of Grimm attacks even though that was mostly grounded ones. The aerial Grimm like Nevermore's and Lancer's could be problematic if not for Atlas's might fleet.
And the hundred fifty or so hard light cannons of course.
That helped.
So, when their world was suddenly merged with another, one that had no Faunus or Grimm or even DUST the fourteen year old was honestly flooded. He had no idea what to do or how he should react. The news that humanity was never really, truly on the brink of extinction and clearly existed on other worlds was the discovery of a lifetime.
Naturally, father was all over this situation and was making plans for all of Atlas(And more importantly, the SDC) to benefit from the sudden development. The first few days, father planned to convince the council to make contact and establish a link so to speak, between the new countries and the SDC. It was only natural, as the Grimm would no doubt see new places to raid and Dust was needed to fight off said Grimm, so why not?
That was the original plan.
But like everything else in life, it change quickly as father received some rather disturbing information, one that threats the kingdom's stability(At least, that was how Jacques put it, to his son).
Not only that but checking the news, they discovered how their worlds merged in the first place. The so called "God of Mischief" had tried to take over Earth by leading an alien army through a wormhole that opened atop of Stark tower. Some people, his father included, even went so far as to blame the whole thing on Tony Stark.
For one reason or another, at the very least giving the alien menace known as Loki the means to invade Earth. Even though the only casualties were soldiers through careful planning, it made many want to known how the Avengers knew the attack would take place in New York. Even more so, if they knew, why didn't they stop it before it nearly got too completely out of control.
Why would they wait?
Why didn't they already have some sort of army waiting for the aliens before hand?
Why would they allow Loki and his armies to to invade in the first place?
Why did Loki invade anyway?
What was the whole point of invading the Earth in the first place?
What kind of item, cause surely there was SOMETHING on Earth Loki wanted bad enough to bring a massive army to get it, was it?
A item of great power, historical significance, a relic of some kind?
Just what is it, that made Earth so significant that an alien, a god straight out mythology if the stories were to believed, would want with Earth enough to invade with a massive invasion force?
Hell why bother invading at all, if you just needed one thing, then why not snatch it and run?
Too many questions and not enough answers, a bad idea to leave those kinds of questions unanswered, as it would open the door to an inquiry. Something the SDC knew how to handle well, given how many are asked a day and father handled them all easily. Many were(In father's humble opinion) either jealous of their families fortune or how the fact the SDC keep Remnant's wheels turning.
No matter what anyone said, it was a fact the SDC mined the dust that keep Remnant going. Dust was needed, not only for the huntsman and soldiers to use as ammo but dust powered ever day objects in people's daily lives. No matter what anyone said or regardless of how(Very) true the accusations against the SDC, what will it amount too?
Remnant can't just stop, simply because of a few people are being mistreated. As bad as it sounded, yes even he acknowledge the fact his father treated his workers horribly, it did not change the facts.
And the fact was this:
People die all the time, both human and Faunus alike. No matter what people might say, they'll also back out when it becomes too inconvenient.
Always.
One person did not equivalent millions more. The power of one man, didn't amount to much and while a few may be more important then others, it did not change much. Whitely knew this, while he could secretly understand WHY the White Fang turned violent it did not justify them killing everyone that disagree with them. His father was not a nice man but then again, the business world wasn't nice either and WILL rip anyone a new one if they'd show a hint of weakness.
The system the kingdoms were built on, would always side the rich and powerful, no matter how just the cause of the common folk might be. The corrupt and greedy always won out, while the innocent would pay the price. After all, the proof of that statement was in, not only the White Fang's change in attitude but their home island of Menagerie was always proof.
The Faunus won the war but were forced to an island, that was suppose to hold their entire race, despite winning fair and square.
Where was the justice in that?
None.
There was none because the rich and powerful always got away with whatever they wanted, because the only ones that could stand up to them, sided with them. A sad fact but the powerful will more often then naught, look out for themselves.
Most people do.
Most people at least.
But most people weren't Xero Mazoku/Stark aka the Grimm Reaper. He wouldn't stop, if he found any kind of injustice and regardless of who he faced, he would fight them and it. That is what made him so dangerous, as father told him. Unlike most, the younger Stark did not stop for anything or anyone, destroying anyone that he deemed "In the wrong".
The young man was regarded as a derange terror upon the criminal underworld and didn't hesitate to kill anyone that either got in his way, was dirty or working with the criminals who killed to make a quick buck.
People like, drug lords, gangsters, radical groups and pretty much anyone that would prove to destroy innocent lives. The young man did not care who was involved, if you were willfully doing it, you died. He even killed people, who were apart of huge corporations that skim around the law, using it to protect them from the law, as they destroy people's lives, simply because they wish to make money.
People like the SDC.
Father feared the rumors would send the young man into a crusader against the SDC or worse, join/ally himself the White Fang. While the WF might be a Faunus only group, father told Whitley that they would not care. Not after witnessing the power the young man had, they'd probably worship the young man as if he was a god or do anything to get him on their side.
Just so they could have a powerful weapon to throw against their enemies aka humans, Atlas and the SDC most of all.
The young man even started up a following of sorts, people rallying under his banner. His actions cause a ripple effect, not only among the criminals but common folk as well. Mazoku not only had fan clubs around the world that supported him and his actions, he also inspired a new group, one that helped the reaper, simply called "Watchers".
A group made up of the common folk that simply wanted to help their fellow man. These groups formed due to his influence and were inspired to help by the teen's actions. They wanted to help make a difference in the world as many had seen the Mazoku as a Guardian Angel of sorts.
Or an Angel of Death.
Many criminals feared his actions would inspire others to follow in his foot steps and some did. Hell more then a couple of people took a step further by following his example by exposing criminals and killing them, themselves.
One of those people, was an upcoming terror and blight upon the criminal underworld known as:
Mikasa the Justicar.
This woman had proved that Xero's actions were having a profound effect on the world. Not only showing the criminals that were believed to be untouchable weren't as invincible as they would like people to believe, but he was inspiring others to follow in his footsteps by stripping the criminals of their power. Hell, she even had a bit of a legend starting up and going on about her, describing her as:
A woman with hair as black as night, skin that shined like freshly fallen snow and had otherworldly abilities and skill, not even vessel of a warrior goddess sent to Earth, to punish the wicked. Her skills and beauty unrivaled by anyone in terms of skills(Save for Levi of course) with many believing her to be worth a hundred soldiers, a one woman army.
Like Xero, she went all over the world and delivered her own form of justice upon the worst humanity had to offer. The only difference between Xero and Mikasa, was that Mikasa wasn't as quick as the Reaper, nor could she simply vanish and reappear like he could when he moved around to each country all over the world. That's one reason why many believed he was something supernatural:
He could appear and suddenly disappear just as quickly.
Like a phantom.
While yes, Mikasa was no where near as terrifying as the Reaper was, people who see the Justicar coming their way, knowns someone is about to die. She could not be bought, threated, bribed or talked down.
If she decide you were going to die, that was it, you were dead.
Those that tried to fight her were left broken so badly, they believed she was unstoppable. It didn't matter who they sent after her, as her skills had proven to be supernatural and beyond that of any normal human.
Naturally this upset many in the world, as some believed she was the next "Black Widow" or something far worse. Mikasa even copied the Reaper's methods by shed light on what they did and turn the public against them, before she killed them. The same tactics, different title.
A fact that put a target on her back but again, the Reaper's target was MUCH bigger then her own. But this always caused Mikasa to find allies in the Reaper's allies, and naturally the Watchers themselves. Over the past years, they have fed the woman a lot of information and by that extension, SHIELD as well.
Something the confused Whitely.
Why the Reaper was so dangerous? How could one man cause so much damage and kill so many in such a brutal fashion, so quickly? He didn't even have aura for gods sake!
Personally the young boy couldn't help but wonder why that was or even if he was actually responsible for their destruction.
Oh sure, he understood why some people might rally behind the Reaper for his actions and others would either brave or foolish enough to follow his example but he didn't understand WHAT made him so dangerous, let alone cause so much death in such a short amount of time, until father showed him the footage of the battle of New York.
Needless to say, his entire world view had been turned in on it's head, after watching what is now being called:
The War Of Worlds.
As Xero and his sister, along with the rest of the Avengers lay waste to an hostile alien army and their mad godlike leader. Whitley then understood why it was so curial to get the Avengers and more importantly, the Stark children on their side or on a slab.
Either one worked in Atlas's(And more importantly, the SDC's) favor.
But secretly, Whitely wonder if it was worth the risk of pissing off the Avengers, not that he would ever say that out load to father. He wasn't a fool, he knew his father was a bit arrogant and times like now, he wondered if said arrogance would bring down THEIR family crashing and burning. Because clearly, CLEARLY they knew a thing or two about fighting off other worldly soldiers with better weapons and during the first half of the battle, the Avengers systematically slowly but surely brought the manic god's army to it's knee's.
Getting the people out of NY before the invasion and while twenty five percent remained before the evacuation, the soldiers and Avengers were about to hold back Loki's army while they got out.
After ensuring they all got it, it allowed the Avengers to fight fully and completely focus on the enemy without having to worry about civilian casualties. Regardless of how they knew where Loki was going to unleash his army, the Avengers were able to get almost all of New York out before the battle started and that was a huge boon to them, later down the line.
Not to mention the massive barrier like field, that prevented the invaders from leaving the island of Manhattan. So they didn't have to worry about any escaping the fight.
Despite how big Atlas's army was, it was clear to all who watched the video as wave after wave after wave of the Chitauri's forces came and were slaughtered in droves, that their alien army was MUCH bigger. Logically it would be expected, as for one they are not only aliens but from the looks of the aliens, were made purely for combat.
An invasion force, meant only for one thing and one thing only:
Fighting.
Killing.
Conquering.
While that may be three things, that was beside the point.
Many in Atlas R&D wanted to take a look at them and their advanced weaponry but all the aliens and said weaponry were sent back through the wormhole before it was shut down by Mazoku. Naturally many were annoyed at that and wanted him to bring it back(Those in Atlas and if what they heard was right, the the US military as well) but it was already too late and the damage was done.
They did hear that Mazoku took Loki's magic specter but then again, everyone knew that he took Loki's specter. The specter itself was supposedly powered by what they only knew as "The Cube" and father was going to try and get both into Atlas R&D but even Whitely knew that would be a stretch.
While yes, he had been drilled in politics from a young age, Whitely wasn't sure how talks would be going in this situation they found themselves. Some of the countries might ally with Atlas, other might ally with Vale, Mistral or even Vacuo for all he knew. Or none at all, the countries and nations of Earth might put their differences aside and untie against all of Remnant itself!
There was just no way to be certain.
Hence why father ordered him to get close to Ritsuka "Gudako" Stark, so they have an ally within the US. While the older brother might be a known danger, the young sister was a complete unknown. That made her a hundred times more dangerous then her brother, simply because she was an unknown!
The fact she was quite the looker helped but at the moment, with all the visiting diplomats had been converged into a "Safe zone" he felt that might get more difficult. Not only were some injured and being attend by that Asia girl, one of the youngest members of the Avengers, but the fighting was getting more fierce but the redhead didn't seem to care.
Something that made Whitely wonder if she was all there or not or if she somehow knew this was coming.
Especially when Gudako didn't seem worried at all and was talking to one of the soldiers, a large man with short blonde hair and stubble at his strong jawline, before sending him on his way, as they soon heard the sounds of fighting overhead.
BOOM
CLUNG/BANG
CLU-BANG
CLUNG
CLUNG
BA-UNG
"Well things are really hitting the fan, as to be expected."
Gudako suddenly said, as everyone looked at her like she'd grown a second head.
"E-expected? Y-you knew this was going to happen?"
The diplomat of Russia asked in shock, as Gudako merely nodded, her hair bouncing as her smile never faded,"Of course we did. After all, this event is far to big for HYDRA to pass up, they're back into a corner. They went so far as to sell out sensitive information of the Avengers to the kingdoms of Remnant and other groups that would love to see us all dead, in order to make them do their dirty work by trying to imprison us or kill us out right. Isn't that right...Mr. Pierce?"
The man looked surprised, as did everyone else, who narrowed their eyes at the now sweating man.
"What is she talking about Alex?"
WSC member Hawley asked, glaring at the older man. Everyone who had gathered looked at the older man, as the Avengers slowly drew their weapons, along with the huntsman.
"How do you even known, we even received information at all, Miss Stark and what even is this 'HYDRA'?"
Clover asked, as the girl merely tilted her head like an inquisitive puppy and innocent look on her face. But that look did not reach her eyes, as they were colder then any winter Atlas has ever known,"Quite simple Mr. Clover man, the information you all got was tagged by our magic, so we can find out who's been feeding HYDRA information and with many of their people dead, they'd try to goad other into attacking us. HYDRA itself is basically a cult that wants to rule the world, simply because they believe humanity could not be trusted with it's own freedom and as a result, tried to create a world so chaotic, the world would willingly give up it's freedom for it's security."
"By making the world so chaotic on their own?"
Harriet asked, as the redhead nodded at the dark skinned woman, who frown in return,"That's stupid."
"Completely stupid but then again, the group was started by a madman who believed he waked in the footsteps of the gods, so more crazy then stupid."
The young redhead said, tapping her chin in thought or so she made it look like she was thinking. Gudako already knew that members of HYDRA were indeed crazy or simply greedy. Either way she looked at it, they were dead. Looking at everyone she spoke,"I wouldn't worry to much. Onii-chan's Servants are already cleaning them up with commander Erwin's troops. HYDRA is already dead and all we are doing, is collecting the bodies. Which leaves us, with-"
Suddenly, the soldiers with the group pointed their guns at Pierce, surprising the man.
"You, Mr. head of the WSC, secretly running HYDRA from behind the scenes. Oh and before you try and weasel your way out of this, we already known it's you."
The man frowned,"And just who gave you the authority to arrest me?"
"I did."
And coming out of the shadows, like a damn ninja(In Tony's mind anyway) was Fury himself. The bald man looked at Pierce and said,"Before we put you under arrest, i want to known: Why make me head of SHEILD, when you know i would never willingly join HYDRA?"
"Because you're the best Fury."
Gudako said, before Pierce could making him scowl at her. Something she ignored,"Because like us, you were willingly to do whatever it takes to protect the people. By any means necessary and eliminate any potential security risks. Like Logan, Levi, Erwin, Mikasa, Pieck, Asia, Banner, Charles, Magneto, Dr. Steven Strange, every other Avenger on our team and many more. Because we couldn't be controlled and you needed someone else to take the fall."
"Like me?"
Fury's normal scowl became worse, as his one good eye glared at his supposed friend. The older man, knowing there was no way out, simply shrugged,"Nothing personal Fury, just business. You and i both known the world doesn't act like how we would like it too. WE are the ones that protect the world because we are willing to make certain sacrifices to ensure the world's safety. When you signed off on Project Insight, i'd assume you had the same nerve i had. After all you kill ten million people over there-"
"To save twenty million more, but this is different and you known it. I did what i had to, to protect the people from others like HYDRA. Like Loki. Like you."
Fury all but growled at the bastard's audacity, talking like they were the same when they were clearly not. The bastard, despite knowing he was done, asked,"Still you couldn't have known it was me so easily. Where's you're evidence on the matter?"
"The fact we've got you sending out copies of the Avengers files, one of the highest levels of information there is and sending it out to foreign countries is not only treason, it's also a major breach in security. Punishable by life in prison because of the severity of the crime, we weren't sure it was you WHO was the breach."
Gudako said simply, as she smiled,"We knew their were HYDRA agents within SHEILD, having cut down plenty of them but we didn't known just how far up the chain of command they had gotten. So a simple bait of 'catch and release' was the name of the game and you took it hook, line and sinker. The files we dangled in front of you were tagged with a magic tracker on it, so when it was released, when know who did it. Think of it as a computer program that is meant to trace back to the sender, only enhanced by magecraft, one beyond anyone hope to unearth it, unless you had magic. You could deflect normal programs sure but not ones Assassin made to ensure when knew who did it, A big gamble for sure but necessary one, seeing as we were taking a swing at the head of the WSC, we needed to be sure and this plan was the best way to do it. Of course we naturally needed it to be released, so we can confirm just WHO was the traitor within SHEILD. While it was dangerous for sure and quite a big gamble but our own personal information, our files were only accessible by SHEILD's highest ranking members. Ultimately we decide to use it as bait in our game of 'catch and release'. Besides the director, their was only one other person that could access our files, let alone copy them and send them out to you're kingdom. Seeing as the files require Alpha Level Clearance, only two people have that clearance and it makes no sense why Fury would do it. So that leaves just one person, who CAN access them, let alone known WHERE to find them and send out copies."
"The end result, ones you were hoping for would turn everyone against the Avengers or at least you would hope that would happen. Even if you're plan failed to send the leaders to attack the Avengers, you knew some of the more radical soldiers or even huntsman would attempt to attack the Avengers. Regardless if they won or not, the ensuring diplomatic incident would help sow chaos among the world and in doing so, you could weave the seeds of war. In doing so, it would unleash pure chaos, with HYDRA slowly but surely taking control of everything. Once the dust settled and anyone who figured what was going on, it would be too late to stop you or do anything that could threaten you're ideal world."
Pieck finished for the redhead, as the older man gritted his teeth in angry at having the entire plan figured out so quickly and easily by the lazy eyed woman,"It would have been easy enough to pin the bombing on one of the visiting kingdoms or countries. Hell, you wouldn't even need too, everyone would be pointing fingers at everyone else, turning stale mates into full blown wars and with the new threat of Grimm, the spike in negativity would have those monsters coming in waves. Within the ensuring chaos, you can take all of us out and blame it on just about anyone, even the Grimm themselves. The best part about this plan? Was that you wouldn't have to do ANYTHING, just sit back and watch the massacre."
"We had already suspected you, we simply needed conformation and you're actions did nothing more then bury the final nail to you're coffin."
Natasha said, as she drew her hidden from sight pistol on the older man, a faint smile tugging on her lips,"Xero would have made one hell of a spy. Too bad he simply can't tell a lie to save his life."
"Maybe not but master can certainly bluff his way out of shit."
Jalter said with a smirk, her master might be a shitty liar but he's one hell of a bullshitter. Now one might believe bullshitting and lying are the same thing, it's not it really isn't.
"You son of a bitch."
Council member Nagendra Singh glared at Pierce,"All this time, you've been playing us for fools. You've been playing us for years! Why?!"
Alexander frown, as he saw everyone from the president and even his would be allies Trask and Kelly glaring at him. While the two weren't apart of HYDRA, they did share some of his views on how the world and of course, the growing mutant problem as well. With the knowledge magic was not only real but Magus existed today were going to create all kinds of new problems.
Ones he felt he could enlist the two men and of course, William Stryker to help deal with it.
But with the truth of his connections to HYDRA coming out and William, while not against his views saw his ship was sinking and decide to jump ship. Something that didn't surprise Pierce too much but it did make him angry. The fact no HYDRA soldiers had come to his aid, the sound of gun fire and explosions told him, they wouldn't be coming.
Meaning someone had either leaked their plan of it was figured out. Something that only drove the point home, that HYDRA was more then likely done for. A fact that made him even more angry.
He felt the rage boil within his veins, getting angier and angier at having everything HYDRA worked so hard for YEARS to achieve, only to have it all fall apart right before his eyes in just a few seconds. What was worse, was he knew HE had been played by two brats that weren't even in their twenties yet. Gritting his teeth, he opened his mouth to speak-
SLENCH
Only for it to gape in a wordless scream, as he looked down in disbelief and saw a blade stuck through his stomach.
"Thou are a fool to stand against my master and cause her so much pain. For thou's crimes against humanity and my master, thou shall pay with thy head!"
The First Hassan, Hassan I Sabbah or as Gudako called him "Gramps" is a ghostly figure, tall, clad in f a thick purple and black helmet with a skull shaped visor, hiding his face behind it at almost all times and showing nothing but empty blue pupils. He wears a bulky purple and black cuirass with a skull on it, with eerie blue flames pouring out of the eyes. His plackart is designed to represent the ribs of a skeleton. He has large, durable faulds protecting his hips from damage, with a design that represents a skeletal hand wrapping around his waist. He has black and purple cuisses with glowing blue lines running through them, and spiked poleyns on his knees. He has extremely durable graves protecting his shins, and thick sabatons protecting the boots he wears. He has large, skull shaped pauldrons on his shoulders with infernal blue flames coming from the eye sockets, black rerebraces, purple vambraces with large spikes and blue lines running through them, and purple spiked gauntlets. On his back is a seemingly ancient mantle, with a cape that looks just as old and worn.
Everyone froze at the man, no the Assassin's sudden appearance. No one could speak, none dared too, as the man's very presence spoke one thing and on thing only:
Death.
Death hung in the air like a heavy fog, gripping everyone in it's grasp and forcing all to watch as the events unfold, no matter how much they wanted or wished to intervene or even look away they could not. The man's aura demanded their full attention and told everyone, that someone was going to die.
Right now.
Alex didn't even get to speak, before the old man sliced his head off from his shoulders. Quickly, cleanly, quietly, without a sound being heard and no one having seen him even do the deed.
A true Assassin.
No last words, no dying screams of revenge, no nothing.
Just as Gudako wanted and both her and Xero, believed the bastard earned:
No second chances, no last words. Just death.
"Damn. I really wanted to kill him."
Pieck said, trying to sound annoyed but couldn't keep the lazy smile on her pretty face as she felt vindicated at how quickly the bastard who had destroyed her life died. No last words and he death in a very anticlimactic way.
Prefect.
The legendary Assassin's eyes flashed at Pieck but otherwise, said nothing.
"You didn't have to do that! He should have been arrested!"
Well, it seems not everybody agreed with her. That specialist from Atlas, Winter Schnee if she remembered right, stomped her way towards Gudako, a glare on her face,"You didn't have to kill him."
"It was not thou's option. No second chances, thou brought it upon thyself. Thou had to pay."
"Okay, fine maybe he did but-"
"But nothing."
Gudako said, giving the older woman a stern look,"Director Fury had order us to kill any and all HYDRA agents we find. Pierce was too dangerous to be kept alive and after all the pain and death he has caused, he earned nothing less then a slow and painful death."
"That i did."
The older man nodded in conformation and spared a look towards Winter,"This isn't Atlas or Remnant specialist. We do things differently around here and that bastard long had it coming."
"Be that as it may Director Fury, he should have stood trail for what he's done."
Ozpin cut in, defending Winter, as Bucky glared at the man,"Be that as it may, how long would it be before he slipped away like a goddamn rat. If i could, i would have put a bullet in him myself, if i had the chance."
"Taking it a bit far aren't you?"
Leo said, having no idea why he suddenly butted in but was quickly regretting it, as the former Winter Soldier turned White Wolf said simply,"When you're turned into a living weapon by you're worst enemies, mind turned into scrambled eggs and used against you're closest friends, then you can decide if things have been 'taken too far'."
His answer shut everyone up, as they all stared at him with wide eyes in shock, unable to say anything. Well almost, as Sienna couldn't help but snort,"Well at least you stand by what you believe, regardless of what others think."
"Of course i would."
Gudako said, looking at the older woman like she was crazy,"I wouldn't trust anyone that couldn't stand by or up for their beliefs, regardless of them. True, some might not be good belief's and might be shit but at the very least, you have to stand by you're shit and take responsibility for you're own actions, regardless of what you've done. To do so otherwise, to abandoned you're convictions and beliefs for some sort of moral high ground or some other stupid reason is nothing short of a cowardly act. By that logic, you yourself, who would willingly abandoned you're beliefs and convictions for any reason, makes you a damn bloody coward."
"The fact the cowardly bitch abandoned her comrades, her FRIENDS and during a mission no less. Someone like that, regardless of her reasoning shows she cannot be trusted. After all, if she did once to people she's known for years, she'll more then likely do it again if she saw fit to do so. Not someone i want to watch my back."
Naturally she didn't say that, as it was something that should have gone unsaid and unspoken. One doesn't just abandoned their comrades when they need them the most, without getting some negative attention from it.
Gudako would never trust someone like that, no matter what. Her Oni-chan had Chiyome with Danzo's help to dig up some information on the visitors from Remnant with everyone agreeing with his actions. Remnant was a completely different world, with many unknowns. Rather then take an unnecessary risk, it would be simpler to get an idea of who they were dealing with and gauge their threat level.
It was how they discovered all the info they have on Beacon's teams at least and that Belladonna girl as well. It was also how they found out, just how crappy Remnant's overall security system is and how easy it was for Danzo to break through their pathetic defense's. It was really just sad at how easy it was for the two Assassin's.
Then again, most of Remnant was busy fighting those Grimm creatures, so it's too be expected, Gudako supposed. The people of Remnant obviously believed the Grimm were a bigger threat, which was a good thing in on itself, it was foolish to assume other people won't try to get you're secrets. Grimm might be monsters but people, humans and Faunus alike, could be more monstrous then any monster, Heroic Spirit, Grimm or even devil could ever hope to be.
She'd seen it first hand.
The people of Remnant have seen it but Earth has a longer, broader and much more bloodier history then Remnant could ever hope to have. Remnant was basically a baby world compared to Earth. It's breed plenty of monsters and if Remnant wasn't careful, they'll get to see those monsters too.
Sienna grinned a vicious grin,"I couldn't agree more."
She sent that look to a certain Belladonna, who shrunk under it,"I do think SOME people could really learn from you. That is, if she doesn't run away from you, of course."
Ghira and Kali frowned at the obvious insult but could say nothing, as they knew she was right. While the pair were happy, proud even to hear their daughter had pulled herself out of the darkness that was consuming the White Fang, the fact she hadn't contacted, let alone talked to them at all until today, was a bit of a downer.
They knew, while Blake was strong and skilled, she was weak mentally. Not to mention she was, well skittish, for a lack of a better word. If given the option, she would run from her problems.
Always.
They had hoped she would have grow out of that but just this once, leaving the White Fang aka running was the right choice.
But just this once.
The girl herself, gritted her teeth, glaring down at the floor, biting her lip and clenching her fist so hard to the point her nails dug into her hands. What did she know and what right did Gudako have to judge HER, when SHE was the murderer and psycho here?
"Doesn't change the fact they've should have been arrested, regardless of what they've done."
Clover said with a frown that matched Winter's. While he knew that killing was sometimes the only way, the man was unarmed, their was no need to kill him. He also spoke up, to keep Winter from doing or saying anything that could start a political nightmare. She was a proud woman, a devoted soldier, a skilled huntress but she had a horrible time controlling her temper. The girl in front of him had was unknowingly(Or just simply didn't care) pushing her buttons. Rarely did anyone talk back to Atlas, it soldiers or people, save for the White Fang or course.
Barely anyone talk back to Winter Schnee(Or any Atlas soldier in general that wasn't an enemy to all of Remnant or the kingdom itself), because she was just that scary. So while it sounded arrogant, nobody ever questioned Atlas that mattered or could cause them actually trouble legally. So to basically be told to step aside and let others handle a clear military operation, was honestly a bit foreign to them and the disrespect was also foreign too.
Nobody openly mocked or insulted Atlas due to their power and Winter was not only a proud woman, she was a proud soldier as well. She did not take well to being mocked and from her own childhood, it came as no surprise. There was a reason Jacques Schnee would never make the "Parent of the year" award now or ever for that matter. But that was beside the point.
The point was, no one had ever talked back to Winter and having been basically blindside, her country men used as bait did not sit well with her. Nor did it sit well with any of them, but he was the leader of the Ace Ops for good reason and knew, the time for diplomacy was needed before shit hit the fan even more. They needed to work together, now that relations was so fragile and did not need anyone lighting the spark to set off an explosion.
Sadly for him however, Gudako didn't agree and merely gave him a blank look despite her smile never fading,"Well i guess fact doesn't change that he is dead and it's done. Don't butt in a situation that is clearly handled and doesn't need you in it. Though the next time i need a common mugger arrested, i'll be sure to warn you ahead of time."
"And don't forgot, this is a SHEILD operation, not Atlas's."
Fury said, looking too the general of Atlas, ignoring how Winter was now glaring daggers at the redheaded Stark,"Keep a leash on you're dogs general. Despite what they think, they have no say or part in this. All you are in this situation are the victims, not the soldiers."
"I understand director."
The general compiled, giving a meaningful look to his soldiers, making some(Like Harriet and Winter) grit their teeth in annoyance but did as they were told. As for Gudako, she was looking at the legendary Assassin she called "Gramps" the redhead said,"Gramps, you known what to do."
"It shall be done."
"You do realize Atlas could have helped detain and even stop HYDRA's forces from doing this."
But of course, needing to have the last word in and not liking to being shown up, Winter had to defend their position, knowing full well that Atlas could have-
"Yeah, well no one asked you."
Winter gritted her teeth at Gudako's flippant answer, while Ironwood sent Winter a warning look. One she ignored, in favor of glaring at the redhead. She hated being upstaged by anyone or having her ability being doubted by anyone and here, a girl no older then Weiss was making a complete fool out of Atlas(And her). She didn't even turn to talk to her as she spoke,"Now be a good soldier girl, stand their and stay out of our way. We known what were doing and Atlas's know it all's, will only make things more difficult if they get involved."
"Well Xero-sama already knew they'd come and the plan worked perfectly with no one dying, so that's a good thing."
Asia spoke up with a bright smile on her face. But that didn't stop Blake, who despite not wanting to draw attention to herself couldn't stop herself from blurting out,"No one dying? Don't you hear those soldiers killing more people?"
"What people?"
Asia asked innocently, her green eyes devoid of light as she titled her head, looking at Blake,"If you mean those HYDRA agents and mercenaries, then don't worry it's not like they're killing actually people that matter."
Her answer made everyone freeze, looking at the tiny blonde like she had a screw or too lose. Mostly everyone, as the members of the Avengers and SHEILD looked at the girl, concerned. A little unknown fact, was that Asia wasn't completely right in the head and given what happened to her, it would make sense.
Abandoned on the day she was born and left on the steps, she was raised in the Church. Asia stayed there her entire life, till she was betrayed by her so called "Caretakers" when she awakened her Scared Gear the Twilight Healing. They tried to rip the gift from her body and the process would have killed her, had Xero not saved her at the last minute.
The entire ordeal broke the poor girl, unable to come up with a reason why and as a result, her mind(And will) shattered.
Why do it?
What did she do wrong, why did the people she known her entire life, the ones that raised her, try to kill her?
Why?
No one could give her an answer, other then the simple fact was the members of her former home were just bad people. As one could expect, this lead to a couple of problems for Asia and all of them were dangerous mental ones, that ultimately lead her to believing that Xero was either a real, bonafide god on Earth that was came to rescue her from those people or an angel sent by God she prayed to, to save her from the "Demons in human skin".
The last one wasn't too far off, as those people had done some horrible things, long before Asia came to live at the church. It was only during the process of ripping Twilight Healing out of her body, did Xero and his Servants notice the sudden surge of magical power. But before it could have began, the members of the Church decide it be fun, to torture the poor girl and break her.
It made the process easier to remove the Gear if she lost her will to live but Xero was able to reach her just in time and destroy the ones, who tried to destroy Asia. Though, Jack, Dantes, Jalter and Lobo were the ones to introduce the members of the church to a bloody and messy end.
Not that it mattered, as Asia only saw the one who saved her and ultimately became her reason for living.
A week after that horrible time, and her mind finally putting itself back together after it shattered during that horrible ordeal. Upon learning the truth of what happend and why, Asia decide that Xero was, as said before a god or angel sent to save her.
As such, it was duty, her reason for living to aid Xero in anyway needed or wanted.
It was a bit of a no brainer to understand how the young girl had come to the conclusion. Her entire world had just been flipped upside down, ripped apart and destroyed. The people who were suppose to love, protect and teach her right had not only betrayed her in the worst way possible but never really, truly cared for her and only saw her a property to be used and sold to the highest bidder.
In other words, Asia entire life was nothing but one, big fat lie.
Little wonder why it destroyed her entire view of the world and naturally, she looked for something to desperately cling to, least she completely lose her mind to madness.
That just happen to be her mind, shaping her shattered reality to create a new one. One where the people who she knew her entire life, the ones that raised her were nothing more then demons that wish to steal her gift from god. Then god sent one of his angel to save her and in return, she had to help him in anyway that was needed, no matter what.
To Asia, Xero was about the closest thing she would get to god and she helped him happily. Or at the very least, a angel of sorts, sent by someone to save her from those horrible demons and as a result she was to help him as a sort of form of repayment.
At least, that's how her fragile mind saw it.
The fact she got a new family, a REAL one, out of the deal only helped her broken mind even more. But that didn't change the fact, it was indeed broken and there was very little anyone could do to help her now.
"W-wow, hey now i get trying to keep focused on the goal, but isn't that going a tab bit far?"
Yang asked, a little freaked out at her fellow blonde's lack of care of the dead HYDRA agents. Sweating a little himself, at the complete and utter lack of care for human life, Jaune supported Yang's statement, by saying,"Y-yeah, i mean i get being a little angry at them but-"
"You misunderstand, there is no need to worry because their were no humans being killed here or even, oh what was the word? Faunus? Yep, right or Faunus being killed or even hurt. Just useless, sacks of flesh that's been using up all the air, the rest of us can make better use of."
Asia once again, cut them off with her own voice of "Reasoning" that made everyone that didn't personally known the girl, understandable wary of her. Pieck. Tony and the rest of their own friends, sighed at the small blonde's disregard for life. Girl was a little messed up in the head and while she may sound like a complete psychopath, but she was a good person.
All the Avengers were a little nutty in the head, some more then others.
Just so long, as you don't give her a reason to go super psycho on you, she'd be you're best friend. Or try to hurt her "reason for living", then you'd be good. That was very important to note.
Anyone of the hunters would have STILL protested, had the holy saint herself not come over and spoke,"Please understand, while you may have been able to help, we barely known you. There was no trust, no connection, no anything between our two people until today. Master and director Fury knew this had to be done with complete and utter discretion on our part. It was our fear that what remains of HYDRA would go underground, if any of the information of any kind was leaked to them, it would have sacred them off. This was not only our best chance to rid the world of HYDRA once and for all but it was the best plan we could make on such a short amount of time. Between all that's happened and suddenly, the four kingdoms and Remnant appearing, it would have been easy for them to vanish somewhere in Remnant. You may all think this was reckless of us but you have to understand this simple fact: We don't known you. We don't known what kind of people you are, what you can do and we had no way of knowing if you would have sided with HYDRA or not. There was simply to many factors to consider when incorporating in our plan. Ultimately, this was our best shot and while it was indeed both, reckless and a gamble, it has paid off. You of all people should know Schnee, that taking down international terrorist is near impossible. We saw an opportunity and took it. Something i'm certain you're kingdom would have done in our position, if you were in the same situation."
That made Winter's jaw snap shut and growl but couldn't deny the logic or the sound reasoning the blonde had given them. One that she knew, was completely and utterly right. Some of the huntsman and soldiers shared her thoughts, as none could find a flaw in the saint's logic and honestly, she was also right about Atlas.
If it had a plan to destroy the White Fang once and for all, then they wouldn't tell anyone about it. It was just too much a chance for a leak and for the plan to ultimately come down, crashing and burning.
Better to ask for forgiveness later then ask for permission.
Meanwhile a certain assassin listened in and looked at his "leader", a rare look of worry on his face.
"Yeah, boss i think this might be a bit more complicated then expected."
Mercury said his "teammate" as they and headmaster Lionheart watched the scene unfold before them. Lionheart of course, not at all living up this last name looked ready to kneel over in fright. Leo was already scared of Ozpin finding out of his betrayal or the Mistral council realizing he was sending huntsman and huntress on suicide missions.
Both would be terrible in their own right, but now he realized they both paled in comparison to what the Avengers would do to him, once they learn of his betrayal. They wouldn't understand and kill him without a second thought!
No if's, no buts, no trail, no nothing.
Just death.
Possible a slow and painful, if they feel like they could get away with it. Lionheart knew how they worked and if they focused on him too long, one of the Avengers were bound to figure out something was wrong. Something he knew Cinder would be quick to realize and it's only because Salem wanted, at the very least Xero and Gudako brought to their side.
"You WILL deal with Mazoku, one way or another. Either he joins us or die, i care not for which, along with the rest of the Avengers. As much as a powerful ally he make or even the group as a whole, i have a feeling none of them would willingly bend a knee even under the threat of death, so do what you must. I expect results."
Basically it was do or die.
Arrogant as she was, even Cinder knew that killing the leader of the Avengers would be a tall order. Not impossible per-say, just rather difficult task, a very difficult one indeed. No matter how strong someone was, Cinder knew one thing was certain:
If it bleeds, it can die.
True, that did not apply to Salem but then again, not everyone was cursed by the brother gods with immortally, were they? But Mazoku, he's bled before. In fact, if their information is right, days before he met his father, he was admitted to the hospital with life threating injures.
He almost died that day.
Even if some people believe he's some kind of god, if you make god bleed then people will cease to believe in god. Despite all his skill, power and abilities Mazoku was still a human and Cinder already proved strong enough to take down a Maiden. It was just a matter of careful planning, executing and most important of all, taking away all his supports.
After all, beating someone didn't mean to overpower them. It meant, taking away what power they had. Mazoku was only human and just like every other human, he had a weakness.
It was just a matter of finding it.
Elsewhere a certain sharp shooter was smirking at the dead man's body.
"How lucky for him however, he got a quick and painless one."
Neena Thurman aka Domino said, spinning around a hidden pistol she had, stored away in her blue dress.
"I wouldn't call it luck."
Ororo Munroe aka Storm spoke, glaring at the beheaded man,"He deserved worse much worse and personally would have loved to watch him rot in a cell like an animal."
"You and i both known, even that would be too kind for someone like him. He and HYDRA have caused too much chaos and suffering throughout the world. I personally would have loved to get a few licks in myself but i'll settle for this."
Logan said, more then happy to see the bastard died and gone. He just wished the kid would have let him a couple of last kicks in. Oh well, that's life and you can't have everything.
Pity.
"Well some things aren't meant to be."
Pepper said, cutting into the conversation, as Mikasa descended from her own hiding spot, looking at the man who had order her family dead with little emotion on her face. For many years now, she wondered if she should have felt vindication or even satisfaction at seeing the man who ordered her family dead, finally pay for his sins.
"Maybe i should feel some sort of closure or even happiness but i don't. I only feel...content?"
Perhaps that was it but Mikasa wasn't quite sure.
Looking at the dead body of Alexander Pierce, Pepper added frowned,"But i would have loved to see that bastard rot in a cage. Though i'm sure Bucky, Steve and you would have loved to take a crack at him, Tony."
Mikasa hummed a bit still trying to sort out what she felt over this, her mind already going into overdrive over the events that just helped.
"Piecre is dead, the reaming HYDRA agents and the 104th with captain Levi's squad taking them all down. Along with the Servants Xero brought and Venom helping them."
The dark haired woman bite her lower lip in worry,"I think he and captain Levi were near the lower chambers when the bombs went off. They both should be fine, Sasha was able to warn them just before they went off. Still, i don't think they'll mind me lending a han-"
SSSSSSSRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKK
But in a bright flash of light, the entire group was gone, without a trace.
Five Minutes Earlier With Xero And Levi
Ruby Rose watched in awe, as four titans clashed.
What she was seeing was amazing, her sliver eyes watched as warriors of Earth clashed over their own ideals, determined to win. The blonde knight from before had opted to stay with her(Or keep her from interfering, as was the order he was given) as the two watched the battle rage on. The Faunus looking woman had gone off somewhere but Ruby was unable to look away from the clashing titans before her.
The battle before her, was just too amazing to look away from.
A battle of two master's of war.
Of fighting.
Of skill.
Of death.
Ruby couldn't take her eyes off the death match before her, as she watched the two trade blows. Taskmaster would either swing his sword or use his shield as a battering ram, while Xero either blocked it with his twin scythes(Which still sent chills of excitement up and down her spine) or redirect the attack with one scythe, while the other went for the kill.
Only to be blocked, as Taskmaster either used his shield or used his armored forearm to block the attack. Ruby winced, as she could have swore she heard the sound of flesh and bones slamming so hard, it rattled the arms of both combatants.
"This is so cool."
Ruby said in awe, not noticing her mother arrive, as the Gawian was with her to helping her find her daughter.
"RUBY!"
Suddenly, Ruby felt her mother wrap her arms around her in a hug, squeezing the life out of her, as she looked her over,"Are you alright? Are you hurt?"
"Mom, i'm fine, i'm fine!"
Ruby said, trying and failing to get out of her mother's hold, as the older woman looked towards the knight and said,"Thank you Saber."
"It was no problem Madam Rose, more then happy to help. It seems young lady Rose is alright, you did not get hurt, did you?"
Ruby blushed at the blonde man and quickly shook her head,"No i'm fine, Xero saved me. He used his body to shield me and Levi from the falling debris."
"He did?"
Summer narrowed her eyes, her brow furrowing in thought. Okay, Raven would most certainly NOT have done that, so despite sharing her looks, perhaps he wasn't like her old teammate too much.
Still...BOOM
Everyone looked in shock, as the heard what could only be described as a small explosion. In reality, it was Xero burying his fist into the ground, as Taskmaster jumped back to avoid what looked like a bone shattering punch, that created spider cracks all through the concrete floor. Though that did little to slow the young man down, as he moved to attack the older man again, completely unaware of the duel sliver eyes staring at him in shock.
"So cool!"
Ruby nearly squealed in excitement, as Summer was unable to keep her mouth closed. Just how strong was he?!
He didn't even have aura!
"How is he doing that?"
With Xero
CLUNG
"You're good."
A scythe met shield, nearly tearing through it had it been less sturdier. The sharp blade tried to tear through the shield but was unable to do so.
CLUNG
A sword was swung overhead, heading for it's owner enemy, only to be blocked by another scythe, it's twin. The clashing blades
"You are too, even though i can't help but wonder if that's you're moves or the ones you've copied over the years."
Xero said, as he ducked under Taskmaster's swing, bringing up his left scythe up to slice him by the waist, only for the man to block it was his shield. Glaring at one another, Xero tried to use his Phantom to confuse the man. He moved faster then the eye could follow, as several "Xero's" appeared all around the masked man, making him grip his sword and-
Xero had to block an incoming sword strike from nearly striking his heart, making the teen grin, which got bigger and bigger as the older man proved to be a match for him. Damn, he already saw which one was the real Xero, barely giving him time to think of how to slip past the man's defense.
But hell's bells, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't enjoying this!
Despite this, using his inhuman speed, Xero quickly stabbed his left scythe in the ground and grabbed Taskmaster by his collar. Lifting the man up, he processed to THROW him over his head, only for the older man to quickly regain control of himself and twist in a way that blocked the incoming scythe, that had been in the boy's right hand, after being thrown at him.
By the time he landed on the ground, Xero was upon him, his left scythe in hand and going to behead him.
SSSSSSCCCCRRRRRREEEEEEEEHHHHHHH
Only for sparks to fly, as Taskmaster brought up his sword to block the attack, making the two clashing blades spark to the point a fire almost started from the amount. The two weapons sparked, trying to overpower the other as they began to attack one another again.
The two traded blow after blow after blow, scythe meeting sword(Or shield sometimes), each one matching it step for step. Xero swung, Taskmaster blocked. Taskmaster swung, Xero blocked. One tried to knee the other and it was either dodge or blocked.
An even match.
Despite having mana powering his body and the harsh training he received from his Teacher(Along with a great many other Servants, more then happy to pitch in and train him up when asked) with his experience he gained during the Grand Order, he was able to match Taskmaster's own experience and the countless martial arts training style he's copied over the years thanks to his powers, Photographic Reflexes.
The ability to copy any fighting style just by watching them and copying it perfectly. Right down to the timing, how to use it and when to use it.
The head of the Mazoku family could feel his grin turn into a full blown smile.
This was getting more and more fun!
Barely five minutes into this and already, he was enjoying their fight. Not that he wasn't, as they're weren't many times that he fought personally and won. Xero wasn't a Servant and most of the time, he fought Servant level enemies, monsters, ghosts and a great many things during his time in the Grand Order. The results of fighting and surviving these battles had done wonders in combat.
Each attack was connected to a blocked attack, blade meet blade and flesh meant armor.
No matter what one did, the other could not get a leg up on the other.
One strike, the other blocked and when he strike, it was blocked. A prefect symphony of clashing blades, of warriors putting everything they have on the line with blades.
No guns.
Guns would ruin their little fight and both fighters were enjoying it. Unlike most of his fights, Xero could win a fair fight, even if magic was powering his body. The other guy had his own cheat sheet and that made it equal match to each other. Sadly, all good things had to come to an end and this was no different.
Hmm, perhaps he was hanging around some of the more battle hungry Servants a bit too much lately.
Eh, oh well.
But just when the Mazoku was ready to kick their battle into a higher gear, it ended and in a way that Xero wouldn't have expected. Before his eyes, Taskmaster suddenly jumped back and on top of a piece of rubble. Then:
BOOM
Xero had to shield his eyes, as he something pink and sliver was suddenly on the spot Taskmaster was at.
"Darn it! I missed!"
Blinking as the smoke faded quickly, he was quickly assaulted by the newcomer, with turquoise eyes and short red, orange? hair. Wait, when did Thor get here and when did the god of thunder have a sex change?
And dye his hair?
"Hello! I'm Nora Valkyrie! You're the Grimm Reaper right? Well of course you are, so that means i'm suppose to help you right?"
"Yeah..."
Xero said, his eyes widening in comical horror, as he stared at the very excitable girl before him. One that wielded an oversized weapon and probably had some sort of food obession too. Which meant one thing:
"Oh goddess above, it's another Jaguar Man. Nnnnnnooooooo."
Just then, a certain someone crossed his mind and that made Xero nearly go white in shock and horror. Forget Jaguar Man, he had to keep Nora away from fucking NOBU!
The world wasn't ready!
Taskmaster however cut Xero's horror short, by saying,"Well despite how much fun this has been, i'm afraid this is were we part ways."
"Oi, just where are you going? Don't tell me, you're running scared, bone-head?"
Xero taunted, after remembering he had an enemy and had to deal with another Jaguar Man/Nobu later. Mentally noting he had to make sure she and this "Nora" girl never, ever, EVER met.
Back to the present however, the young man taunted the older man, hoping to get a raise out of the merc, only for said merc to say,"Oh no, we are far from done and i for one, was enjoying our fight but it's still too soon. I still have so much to learn and we WILL fight again someday. But the girl's sudden arrival has ruined things for us and now, we must part ways, for now."
"Hey! I don't ruin things, i BLOW them up!"
Taskmaster merely snorted, as he looked at Xero again and spoke,"Be sure to stay alive till then kid, i'll be watching and some advice, don't so much back next time."
Before Xero, Nora or even Ursula who had hidden herself in the rubble waiting for the bastard to screw up and was ready to attack when he began to run, Taskmaster threw a smoke pellet on the ground.
PSH
"Damn him!"
The dark skinned woman growled, covering her eyes as, using her powerful wings to clear the smoke away. Sadly however, it was all for naught as Taskmaster was gone. The new arrival grumbled to herself, as Gawain appeared before his master/queen, kneeling down on one knee like a knight before their lord and said,"I'm sorry my queen, i tried to stop her but-"
"It's fine Saber, her sudden arrival may have been a shock but i don't think it would have made any difference, whether she interfere or not."
Xero sighed, as he leaned on Harvester he wasn't tired or anything like that, it was just then he realized something.
They'd been played.
Taskmaster was gathering information on him, testing him, learning his fighting style and reaction time. Damn he was having way too much fun and just like that, it had cost him. He may have not gotten much but he got exactly what he wanted and played him like a fiddle.
Xero hated being played!
"Not like you could do much mongrel. What's that old human saying: You roll the dice, you play the price, i believe is how it goes."
Archer Gil said within Xero's head, as the master nodded, not put off at how the king of heroes called him a "Mongrel". Gawain must have heard Gil through their shared mental link and gained a small scowl, mostly aimed at the King of Heroes for insulting their master. Even if they all knew, that was just how Gilgamesh just talked and acted, regardless of who it was.
Unlike how most people are called that with the Archer class Servant saying it in the most degrading way, the king's voice was anything but degrading. It was shockingly usually kind, not down putting or anything.
Just like he was saying, what can you do?
It's as he said, you roll the dice and you pay the price! Simple as that.
"Don't worry mother, we'll get him. Cowards like him can't stay away for long."
Okay yeah, lets get this out of the way. While Xero didn't mind Mordred calling him "Mother" he'll admit, it was still a bit odd at being called that by her of all people. Hell not even Jack calling him "Mother" of her favored word "Mommy" threw him for a loop as much as Mordred did.
Jack was easy to understand, once you learn her history and see what made her, well her. Mordred on the other hand, well...it was just a bit odd.
The knight of betrayal was certainly a complicated Servant and ignoring how she originally couldn't decide if she hated or loved her father, but she most certainly hated her "Original" mother.
Her birth mother, Morgan Le Fay.
Much like a regular modern teenager.
Namely being a bit moody, quick to angry and didn't like their mother one bit.
The fact she looked like one, complete with her tomboy look and attitude, made Xero question if she was actually the knight of old or just a teenager from his era. It got so bad, he often wondered if Mordred really was a knight of just a clingy, emotional teenager with angry issues, whom just discovered a long lost parent and desperately wanted a relationship.
Not that he would ever say that to her face.
She'd pout and sulk for days on end, if he do so or possible punch his teeth in. Possible both but with how she's been actually for the past eleven months, when Artoria, the Saber one no less, asked him to be her consort. The King of Knights had mellowed out greatly over the years he and Gudako had been working at Chaldea.
True, she still put up a "Kingly Persona" in public and called him "My Queen" but Artoria, all the Artoria's and knights were simply that respectful. While he himself couldn't really see himself like that, given how the two lived in two completely era's, Xero surmised that the king was simply acting in the manner she was raised in, back in her own time period when she was alive.
Be consciously or subconsciously, there was no denying that being called "My queen" got his heart beat a little faster.
Or perhaps it was because of her charisma?
Possible both.
"I known but that's not the point Mordred. He got what he wanted."
The master thought, beating himself up, allowing himself to get distracted by a good fight, one he actually had a shot at winning. Unlike most of the time, when he mocked-battle Teacher, Cu, one of his knights or any Servant he could never really, truly win.
He was still human after all, despite all that he's been through and done, he could still make mistakes.
So naturally, in a real life or death battle against someone that could not only keep up with him but Xero could beat them in a fair fight, made him a little more then distracted. Simply because those he did fight, were either killed quickly, stabbed in the back or he let his Servants duke it out with them, never really letting him actually fight. During the Grand Order, his training was simply meant to keep him alive long enough for him to either, wait for back up or run away.
So yeah, fighting Taskmaster was a whole lot of fun but it wasn't a true fight, as the bastard was testing him. Weeding out his fighting style and would more then likely, later apply it to his own or create a new one entirely, to counter his.
And the worst part?
The worst part is there was nothing he could have done to change it either. Save for letting one of his Servants fight and even then, the bastard would have either studied their fighting style or just run. The merc didn't get as good as he did by fighting unnecessary battles and bugged out when the situation called for it.
Goddess, he really hated lose, lose situations.
"That is why you should have let ME deal with him, husband. I would have taken him down, quickly, with no chance for him to escape. But yes, while i understand why you held back, you should have ended him from the start."
Xero grimaced at hearing the voice of his newest summoned Servant, one that decide since he summoned her, he was her husband by default. A few days ago, Xero decide to try his luck in summoning new Servants, with him learning more and more about Remnant, he realized he was going to need all the help he could get. Adding on, he knew for a fact that Loki had allies. Allies that had enough power, resources and influence that could send a massive army to take over Earth.
While he may not known just WHO sent Loki but someone(Or something) powerful enough to boss Loki the god of Mischief around like a common grunt, was a force to be reckoned with. Despite fighting off the invasion force completely, Xero and the rest of the Avengers knew:
This was just the beginning.
Someone was pulling the strings and whoever they were, not even Odin knew of them. As Thor put it, the Chitauri were not of any of the nine realms or even Odin himself. Which was troubling, as Odin has been around for a LONG time and if he didn't know who it was, then it was someone smart enough and powerful enough to avoid the Allfather's gaze.
So, rather then wait for the next alien threat to roll up on their front door step, with a new world to contended with, Xero decide he wasn't going to wait. He was going to gather as many allies as he could, buff their defenses and simple be ready for the next time they come.
The best way he could do that quickly, was to try his luck in summoning more Servants, giving him a bigger, diverse army of warriors to work with.
Truth be told, he was aiming for one of the more dangerous Servants, one that BB herself would have called him a complete lunatic for trying to summon, if she knew. This Servant was not only one of the deadly Sakura Five, but was one of BB greatest creations and failure at the same time.
Five Star class, Alter Ego G Servant:
Kingprotea aka The God Of Destruction.
Yeah.
He was fishing for the big one.
THE big one, but fell short sadly. Instead, he summoned FOUR new Servants, two of them being Jeanne D'Arc Archer and Jeanne D'Alter Berserker. In other words he had completed the set of gathering all the "Jeanne D'Arc's" and was even able to sang a new version of Artoria, his king.
Artoria Caster.
A bit of a shock to see a Caster version of Artoria, one that looked and acted like she was around Saber Lily's age, but the biggest shock was number four. One that NO ONE saw coming and was so shocking, even Morgan herself, was frozen upon seeing her. The one he had summoned, was someone he hadn't seen since the LostBelt incident, which was why it was so shocking to see her again. Hell, Mordred looked like she was going to have a heart attack(Which Xero was certain, she actually did have one) as did the rest of the knights of the round table.
Along with the rest of the Artoria's.
Hell Morgan herself was so shocked, it looked like she had seen her evil twin come out of a mirror and come to life to kill and replace her.
Which, to be fair, she did in a sense.
Five Star, Berserker class Servant:
Morgan Le Fay. The Lostbelt Queen who ruled over the Fairy Kingdom of Britain.
The Grand Caster version was shocked to see another version of herself actually be summoned, as a Berserker no less. Plus, Xero was pretty damn sure, certain really that one of the Artoria's did in fact have a heart attack, after hearing it.
Which was quickly forgotten, as the Berserker staked her claim on him, which lead to A LOT of arguing among his Servants.
Namely everyone, save for a few, against Berserker Morgan and everyone else.
In a lot of ways, the woman was like a darker and colder version of Tamamo No Mae, with a sense of duty and maturity, rather then the Caster's goofy nature. Berserker Morgan had ruled over her kingdom for 2'000 years and her emotions were a bit stunned, as everything was just "Boring" to her.
When you live for so long, that tends to happen, a fact his Teacher, Scathach can attest too. Something the two could bond over, not only as beings who have lived for a long time but as rulers of their respective kingdoms.
So it came as to no surprise, when she actually befriended quite a few of his colder Servants like Saber Alter, Semiramis, Jalter and Artoria Lancer Alter. Both Saber faces ruled the same way in their times and their methods were very similar, they bonded over it. Semiramis was a queen herself and could relate to Berserker Morgan in the way, only a fellow ruler could. As for Jalter, the Avengers personally liked the woman's style in dealing with her foes, quickly and brutally, without a second of hesitation. Hell, even Olga Maire liked the woman's blunt and quick style of living.
Even if they were all very annoyed at Berserker Morgan's claim on their shared master.
Along with many others, while some simply shrugged it off. To them, it was just another day in the office, so to speak.
A few of them, even got popcorn, waiting for the fireworks to go off. It was going to happen sooner or later and some were betting Frankenstein aka Fran would be the first to try and draw blood. The small Berserker was one of the more possessive Servants, which had only gotten worse when she and her dear master killed her father and evil "Twin".
Many were simply waiting for her to finally crack, then try to swung her mantle on the Berserker's head, in a mad attempt to crack the usurper's head wide open. Despite already knowing it will fail and likely become a battle, one that put the damage it did to New York during Loki's invasion, to shame.
They're both Berserker's after all.
Though to be fair, many if not ALL Servants were possessive creatures by nature and as time went by, that possessiveness would get worse. There was a reason WHY Servants only appeared during Holy Grail Wars and vanished shortly after they concluded. This was something the former primary master of Chaldea learned to deal with and has become a master at it.
It was just another price for power.
However, summoning the Berserker version of Morgan didn't like any of the knights of the round table or their king from his timeline. One could feel the tension in the air, if any of the Artoria's(Save for the two Alter's) were in the same room for too long or looking to take his attention away from one another.
Having so many lovers, eager for love and affection all but starving for it really, left the teen barely anytime to himself but he'd learned to deal with it like everything else and was completely worth it. Many had set aside old rivalries and grudges aside for their shared lover.
Some, like Mordred and Semiramis as said before, keep their hate for one another professional, so it wouldn't interfere with their daily lives or on the battlefield. But that was beside the point.
Even if some still take a few pot shots at each other, like a certain red Archer and blue Lancer. Funny enough, Berserker Morgan got along well with Ursula, along with Pieck due to her intelligence and even Asia. The woman went so far, as to basically adopt the girl as her own sister or daughter, much to the little blonde's delight. Seeing as she was all but adopted by the healing Berserker, Nightingale, Asia said it was like "Having two mother's".
It was an odd scene for many to see, given what they knew the pale blonde could do and how dangerous the pink haired one can be, when she wanted to be.
But the past was the past.
Of course, the only one of his own Servants who WAS happy to see Berserker Morgan was:
Five Star Lancer Class Servant: Fairy Knight Lancelot aka Mélusine.
He wondered if it was because he summoned one of her knights, did Berserker Morgan answer his summoning. When he first summoned the tiny Lancer, many wondered if the girl existed purely to mock Lancelot. Like her male counterpart, Melusine obeyed Berserker Morgan loyally, like Lancelot did in life and was considered a killing machine.
Despite this, Xero was able to get through to the tiny girl and formed a healthy relationship with her. When he summoned her queen, Melusine took it upon herself, to show Berserker how things work around her new home, for her master's sake if nothing else. The blonde could be quite a handful.
In any case, regardless of Berserker Morgan's attitude and beliefs, Xero had sent out a summoning call. One she answered his summoning willingly. Since she learned of her new master's situation, with him explaining it to her in great detail, she decide to just rip the bandage off and get it out of the way, as he had summoned her after all. If he would accept her(Which he did) then the contract between the two would need to be bound by something. Since she was a queen, it wasn't too unexpected for her to make the contract bind over marriage. It would make their alliance all that much stronger and since she was bound to him for life, Morgan saw little difference between the "Master and Servant" bond and "Husband and Wife".
To her it was the same thing, but that could be because Xero was her first actually master. Much like Charlie and her Grand Caster self.
It was for life or for however long Xero lived, she was stuck with him till the bitter end. Sure, she could find other means to sustain herself within this modern era but the ruthless queen saw little reason to do so. There was simply no actually reason for her to do so and so early into the contract with her current master, she let things play out, as she was certain more battles were to be held.
Battles, where he would need her on the frontlines and she'd be there.
Thus she would treat and call Xero, her master, partner or husband.
Simplification in on itself and that was the way Morgan Berserker liked to keep things, simple. No cunning words, no beating around the bush or subtle threat's, just do it. Befitting her class statues, she rather charged on in first and be done with it.
Unfortunately this kind of thinking, caused her to butt heads with a lot of Servants, Berserkers most of all, as she "suggested" he dismiss all his Berserkers, since he now had her. It didn't help, she also tried to get him to dismiss many other Servants, simply because she believed she could handle what they did better then them.
It goes without saying but many did...not like hearing that, to say the least.
One of those Servants just so happened to be two Berserkers, Tamamo Cat(Also her Caster self with Nero siding with her rival for once) and Kiyohime(And her Lancer self) all outright tried to kill her. Hell even Raikou joined in on the trying to kill the quote,"Light blonde hair bitch with fake tits and a stupid oversized weapon" end quote.
He had to use a command seal to stop that shit and sadly, it didn't end there. The fact Berserker Morgan remained completely unfazed by the attempt on her life, only served to piss off many Servants.
As one would expect, many Servants almost came to blows with Berserker Morgan but Xero put his foot down quite literally, on both sides. But he still had to tell her off and told Berserker Morgan plainly, it wasn't going to happen anytime soon. That she would need to learn to work with other people and while he understood, she didn't trust other people, the very least she could do was trust him.
"I do trust you husband, you summoned me after all and our contract is built on trust. The fact you summoned one of my kinghts, only confirms, i can indeed trust you. However i do not trust anyone else to be competent enough to do the job right or have the will, to do what needs to be done. After all, the scars on you're body tell me all i need to known, on you're Servants...abilities."
Personally, Xero and the rest of the Avengers thought that was a bit below the belt, which only caused more anger to be directed at her but the Berserker merely shrugged it off. Tony of course, tried to broach the topic of his son's many scars but he deflected it, when he understood what Berserker Morgan was really saying,
It wasn't that she didn't trust others, no to the Berserker everyone else was simply unreliable and as the old saying goes:
"You want something done right? Do it yourself."
A bit arrogant of Berserker Morgan to say something like that but to be fair, she did rule her kingdom for more then a hundred years. True, she ruled with an iron fist but how many rulers can say, their ruled lasted for several decades without anyone actually being a match for her?
Not many if hardly any.
But it did not change the fact, he needed help and Berserker Morgan was someone he needed on his side, so like every other Servant, he'd win her over. One way or another, he'd do it.
He won over Gorgon, so surely to the goddess, he could do the same here!
Then again he did kinda destroy her world, when he and Gudako took down the Lostbelt's, so it might be a bit more difficult to win her over, then Gorgon was. Oh well, he was up to the challenge.
Maybe.
Thankfully, Xero didn't need to work really hard to gain the Artoria Caster and Jeanne Archer's trust but as expected, Jeanne Berserker was going to take a bit or work, but nothing he couldn't handle.
Hopefully.
Something big was coming, both from the dark reaches of space and Remnant itself, so Xero figured he could be forgiven for getting more...firepower so to speak. Plus it would go a long way, in deterring the governments of the world from turning against him in some stupid belief they could kill him or worse, capture him. To study his body and try to unlock the secrets of Magecraft.
"You'll need all the allies, you can get you're hands on."
Romani said that to him once and Xero believed, it was nigh time he'd listen to his advice. He was going to try summon more Servants later on, but for now he'll have to contend with the ones he has, train himself up, learn everything he can about Remnant and prepare for the worse.
Let them come, he'll be ready.
Shockingly enough, Berserker Morgan approved this action, along with Grand Caster Morgan and many other Servants. They all knew something was coming and if their shared master believed it would be a good idea to summon more allies, then they're with him. Hell, he even had Gudako try her hand at summoning and she got a shocking good amount of results.
Five Star Caster class Servant: Scáthach-Skaði.
Four Star Saber class Servant: Barghest.
Four Star Alter Ego Servant: Mecha Eli-chan and Mecha Eli-chan.
Four Star Saber Servant: Rama.
Five Star Foreigner Servant: Katsushika Hokusai
All great and powerful Servants in their own rights and seeing as she summoned her first Foreigner made Xero and Tony very proud of her. While Tony really didn't get it too much, Xero knew it was quite a feat to summon an extra class Servant and not one but TWO Alter Ego Servants to boot! The fact she hasn't summoned any Avenger class Servant didn't really surprise him all too much.
The redhead, despite being his level of crazy and insanity, didn't have an mean bone in her body. She was just too pure and sweet for that. Him on the other hand...well, lets just say, there's a reason why he had Gudako act as his living moral compass and if he strayed from his path, she was too stab him in the back.
Xero loved her and trusted Gudako to do what needed to be done, if needed as he did not want to be the monster he almost became once. Make no mistake, Xero knew he was indeed a monster but not a monster that was captive by his hate.
The Avenger monster, the one his future self became. He did not want to go down that path but he knew, as well as anyone else:
All it takes, is ONE bad day.
That's all it takes. It was pretty scary to think about, if nothing else.
"Well...that could have been worse."
Ruby said sheepishly, as she stepped out of her hiding space. She had watched the entire battle and was surprised to see someone without fight so well, so fast, so strong too! Even she wasn't fast enough to leave behind several afterimages of herself! Sure she left rose petals behind, when she used her semblance but Xero didn't even have aura!
That was all him!
She really hoped she could convince him to teach her that! Her mother, on the other hand, was slowly revising her thoughts on the young man before her. When the bombs went off, his first reaction, was to use his armored body to cover the nearest person and protect them with his own body, from falling debris. Plus, he protected her baby girl, so he went from her shit list to her okay list.
No matter how she looked at it, Xero saved her daughter's life and at the very least, she could at least cut him some slack. Looking at the mother/daughter duo, Xero looked at the blonde Saber and spoke,"Saber, get these two somewhere safe. I have to find Levi and make sure we finish off what's left of HYDRA's soldiers."
"Understood."
He then looked at his dragon mate and said,"Urs-"
SSSSSSSSRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKK
Then just like before, a flash suddenly appeared and when it vanished in a bright light they were all gone.
Just like the large group from before.
With Levi
BANG
Levi quickly dodge a bullet aimed at him, as Kenny vanished again, somewhere behind the column's.
Gritting his teeth, Levi changed his course and moved to anchor himself to another column, as Kenny came from-
BANG
Above!
Levi barely had time to move out of the way, as the bullet nearly blew a hole in his skull, as Kenny followed it and brought down his hunter knife on him!
CLUNG
The short man barely had time to bring his sword up, as he clashed with his uncle mid-air. Only freaks like him and Kenny could possible be able to fight mid-air, before breaking off again and moving somewhere else. Latching himself to a column, Levi shouted,"Do you really think this will end well for you Kenny? Are you really that confident or just plain desperate?"
"Yeah well boy, you wouldn't understand. My new friends and i, are pretty confident that it won't matter what happens here today."
Levi's eyes narrowed,"What are you talking about?"
He heard Kenny chuckle,"What do you think boy? You're little friend has pissed off A LOT of powerful people and got a good number of them are scared. Friend or not, many people are terrified of him and for good reason. You and i both known what happens to people, who reveal themselves to have magic, regardless of their intent or not. Doesn't matter what you or anyone does. The kid and his family are marked for life. You known it and i known it, might as well save him some pain yeah?"
"Then you obviously don't known Xero as well as you think you do."
"Xero? On a first name bases boy? Wait, don't tell me you actually care for the Stark boy. Didn't i teach you that sentimental shit, is what others WILL use against you if given the chance?"
Besides the fact Xero was one of the few people, Levi trusted and called a friend in the world? Yeah it would make a certain amount of sense for him to be on a first name bases with the younger man. Plus he saved Mikasa from a horrible fate and while they may not get along, they were still family, so that was a win in his book.
And what Kenny said, about having friends was basically inviting trouble, while he was right Levi was willing to take that risk.
"Guess that's the difference between us Kenny. I'm willingly to take the risk of having people i care about, gives me something to fight for. Tell me, what do you fight for, when you have nothing?"
Levi asked, getting ready to launch a surprise attack on the bastard, with a hidden blade in his sleeve. He wasn't big on video games but he would be lying if he said those, "Assassin's Creed" games didn't have some damn good ideas. With his young friend being one of the smartest people on the planet, it was easy for him to recreate a real life weapon from a video game.
Especially when said weapon, was something surprisingly simple like the hidden blade.
Besides Erwin, Hange and the rest of his squad, the younger Stark was one of the few people that gained Levi's respect and trust. Maybe it was simply due to the fact, they both knew what it was like to lose people so closely dear to you're heart, their presence was something akin to breathing. Xero could understand that pain, because he felt it himself and Levi can sympathize with.
People bond over pretty much anything and losing a friend, is no different to that "something". Besides, it felt nice to have someone that could understand the pain you went through, without any pity or judgement on their part.
That and the fact, you'll never have a deeper bond with someone, other then those you shed blood with.
"What i've got Levi, is a dream. One that i will do anything for and if i have to step over you're corpse to achieve that dream, then so be it. The world's a cruel place and you can only look out for number 1. Something i'm certain i told you before, but as always you never listen, do you?"
"Yeah, you did."
Levi said, as he ready his hidden blade to strike and-
SSSSSSSSRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKK
Suddenly vanished in a flash of bright light, making Kenny shield his eyes. The older man blinked as his eyesight came back and he looked around to see his nephew nowhere.
"What the, where'd he go?"
Kenny looked around rapidly, completely unaware that it was all for naught. As many people would soon be forced to witness the truth of the world, a disaster disaster averted and the struggles of two young masters, as they try to save their world from destruction.
Done.
And oh boy, things are going to heat up next chapter, as we began to see the truth of the world and for some, others a look at how bloody their new world really is.
And yes sir, Roman has hatched a desperate plan to escape Cinder's clutches but will it work? Who knows but here's a hint, take a look at the company Xero's keeps around.
Also, the next chapter will be a Bio chapter, listing Xero and Gudako's abilities along with their Servants and members of the Avengers. As it's grown since the "Stark of Legend" and use i revised the first chapter of this story, so it's including "The Lostbelt's" and naturally it's Servant's like Berserker Morgan and her knights. Hoped you all enjoyed!
Devil out.
