Hello once again my ever lovely peeps!

So starting off the new year with a brand new chapter, isn't so bad way to start the new year and i for one, am very happy to get this chapter done, cause this one is a big, fat long chapter. Most chapters won't be this long, as Xero is mostly having to explain his abilities and bloodline, while i get everyone's reactions to said explanation.

So here we go yet again and damn does it feel good, all that building up, now we've finally reached the threshold of where i wanted to be. It's been building for a while and now while i will finish the first chapter of Until Dawn in this chapter, these Arcs will basically be played like how they are in the game:

Chapter by chapter.

I would have done the same for last chapter but when the leg showed up, i couldn't help but end it right then and there. It was just a prefect cut off and the prefect chance for me to make a Jason joke, i simply couldn't help myself but do it.

It was just too prefect of a cut off scene for me NOT to do.

So enough about that, let's get into the new chapter, as always i own nothing but my OC.

So please read, review and "What the fuc-BOOM"

Also today's my birthday as well, so i'm happy i was able to finish this before the new year and i can start of said new year with a nice, fat load of chapter for all my ever lovely and loyal peeps!

Chapter 10: The Nightmare Begins

"Is that Jason Voorhees?! Is JANSON following you boss?!"

Of course, Connie was the one to break the silence and ask the most obvious question:

Was Mr. Hocky mask killer coming for Xero? It sounded completely outrageous, the idea of a movie character coming to life, to kill one of humanities saviors but ya know what the saddest thing is?

It wouldn't be the weirdest thing that has ever happened to him, it wouldn't even close to being in the top ten even.

With a small laugh, Xero shook his head,"No Connie, he's not. I understand why you'd think that but trust me, it isn't Jason. Even though i wasn't lying when i told Sam it was a rat. One that brought lots of friends, not that it helped them though as i had to dispose them."

That drew a couple of flinches from a number of people, having a pretty good idea of what he meant by 'dispose' meant. Though many others liked the sound of it.

"Ha, made them regret ever messing with us, did ya master Xero?"

The largest fairy knight asked with a large grin on her face, as he nodded,"In all fairness, i gave them the chance to surrender but nope, they spat in my face instead. Though one was smart enough to take up my offer, the others didn't like it and wanted to kill the smart one for using her common sense and knowing when to back down. After that, i had little choice but to kill them, especially for trying to kill one of their own allies. Sucm bags. I could have knocked them out, sure, but they wouldn't learn otherwise and one who betrays their own ally so easily, has more then earned the death penalty for such an action."

"So what, you just killed them in cold blood then?"

Blake hissed, ears flattening under her bow, as Xero gave the Faunus in hiding an unimpressed look, eyes cold making her flinch at the sudden shift in personality from cheerful to ice cold in a split second,"I didn't kill them in cold blood girl, that would imply i sought them out, when in fact they came to kill ME. NOT the other way around. I GAVE them a chance to surrender, they all heard the stories, they knew who i was, i WARNED them not to do it and yet they STILL came at me with ever intention of killing me. I told them what would happen if they continued their course of action, it would be the last thing they ever do but did they listen? No and i for one, won't show mercy to a pack of arrogant morons who can't seem to take a hint. If a person kills, whatever the reason but are not prepared to be killed, then they deserved to die. It is pure stupidity for someone to kill and not be ready to die themselves, cause that works both ways. You try to hurt me, i try to hurt you, you shot at me, i shot right back. You try to KILL me, i kill YOU in return. Simple and very easy to understand."

"It still isn't right!"

The girl snapped, as her parents and headmaster tried to stop her from saying something she couldn't take back.

"So it was right for THEM to try to kill MY queen then?"

Mysterious Heroine X aka X asked, growling a little at the insinuation that her queen had no right to defend himself from being killed,"It's fine if he gets killed but the second his kills to defend himself, from people who might i remind you, sought him out first, it's wrong? What kind of fucked up fantasy world are you living in and how the hell are you still alive?"

"I never thought i say this, but the human is right Blake. Just WHAT fantasy world are you living in?"

Sienna grinned like the tiger she was, happy to have such a delicious opportunity to jab at the traitor and the best part? The best part was she didn't need to say or do anything at all! All she had to just sit back, let the girl dig her own hole and help throw her in it. Seeing the girl flinch back like she just got slapped made Sienna's grin get bigger.

Oh happy day, happy day indeed.

"Heavens me, if this is what Remnant has for defenders, it's a true wonder that it's still standing if it's got people like you defending it?"

Tamamo No Mae said, with a wicked smirk and pupils silted on her pretty, prefect face,"I do have to fear for the future of you're world, with such foolish huntress like her running around, why not say the Grimm are just lost animals while you're at it and it isn't right to kill them. Oh no, it's simply isn't right to kill something that is clearly trying to kill you."

"I didn't mean that!"

Blake yelled, finally having enough of being the punchline of this bad joke.

"Then what did you mean, missy?"

Fergus spoke, a eyebrow raised and even though his eyes were closed, Blake felt like he was staring into her soul,"While you're world might be teeming with monsters in the form of the Grimm, our master grew up in a 'kill or be killed' world. If you hesitate for one second, even less then half a second you second guess yourself, you die or worse, the people you care for suffer. Maybe it's because you're people have monsters to fight that distract you from the simple fact that people can be far worse then any demon or even a god. Gods can be cruel, simply because they do not see things from a human POV, demons are creatures that are born to kill and destroy, that is simply their nature. But people, humans...they can be worse then either, simply because they know what their doing is wrong, understand it from a human's POV but simply do not care. I understand trying to keep yourself morally sound, it's admirable even but before you began to judge my master for the choices he makes, learn what made him the way he is now. Then you can form an opinion of him, once you get all the facts. Isn't that the reason prejudices and racism exists, because people make an opinion on something without learning all the facts and refuse to try and understand the unknown?"

Blake and everyone just stared at the large Irish Servant in complete shock, unable to refute what he just said, Blake most of all. The large man had basically said she was being the one things she hated more then anything:

A bigot.

Bigotry is obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction; in particular, prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group. That's how many humans were, that's how the SDC conducted their work and even the White Fang to a certain extent. Misguided and bloodthirsty as they were, Blake believed they could still be saved, even if they'd killed hundreds if not thousands of innocent people, who were just trying to live their lives.

"Well...to be fair, he's not wrong."

Sun said, feeling like he was stuck between a rock and a hard place but ultimately, he understood where Xero and Fergus were coming from. Growing up Vacuo and growing up there had taught the monkey Faunus the same thing:

Kill or be killed.

Not that Sun had ever killed before thankful but that doesn't mean he didn't come damn close to killing someone before. He didn't condone it but he did understand the need for it at times. The only people who seemed to agree with the large Saber wholeheartedly was, surprise, surprise was Raven, her tribe members, those from Vacuo, Sienna, Ilia along with both her and Adam's soldiers all agreed with him.

Even if it was reluctantly.

Even Cinder herself, despite her animosity towards Xero, she agreed with killing those that tried to kill you.

Ren and Nora had similar thoughts, having lived for years on the road. While neither had crossed the line of killing, they both had come close to doing the deed. Having been screwed over by so called "friends" and people who said they wanted to "help them", only for them to try to either rob them blind, kill them or sell them off like some kind of slaves.

Remnant is a world of bloody evolution after all.

So yeah, the pair can understand the Saber's POV and while they don't agree with it completely, they do understand it.

Pyrrha herself didn't really know what to think. On one hand, Xero was the opposite in everything she strived to be by becoming a huntress but at the same time, his actions, morally wrong as they were, had helped people. His actions were wrong yet the results he produced by said actions were good, as he only went after criminals and helped the common folk.

It was a real workout for her brain and the poor redhead had no idea what to believe what was right or wrong anymore. All her life, she believed it was her purpose in life to become a huntress, so she could help people and to save those who needed it most, be they human or Faunus. They're was already enough senseless death and destruction in Remnant as it was and Pyrrha wanted to be something that help put at stop to it.

But now, she wasn't sure it would be enough and after having several bombs dropped on her in the last hour, Pyrrha found herself wanting to know more about Xero himself. Just who was he and how did he reach this point? What made him, him?

"Miss Belladonna, while you are indeed right on many accounts, Lord Mazoku and Mr..."

"Call me Saber, doc."

"Saber, are right too."

Oobleck nodded, much to Blake's shock, the doctor actually agreed with these psycho's? Port took this chance to further explain his friend's point,"While it is a huntsman and huntress job to protect the good people of Remnant and restrain ourselves when the time calls for it, there is no denying that sometimes, you have to take a life to save a life, even if that life is you're own. Actually, if it's you're own life, then it is more then likely to take a life to save you're own when there is no other way. What Barty said is true, it's fine you wanting to remain morally sound but there are times when that simply isn't an option and i for one, wish to see what could push a young man with such promising future, be pushed to such lengths to kill without a second thought. Mr. Curator, may we continue with the viewing?"

"Yes, we can professor Port."

The older man said, as the the lights dimmed again, while Blake just sat back down, trying to make sense of what she just heard. All the while her mother wrapped her in a supportive hug, as she tried to ignore the looks her old friends Adam and Ilia were giving her.

Ruby herself frowned herself, looking down at her feet, feeling a bit anxious for an unknown reason. She knew her friend wasn't a bad person, even if killing was bad that didn't mean Xero himself was a bad person. Sure they had different methods on how to deal with criminals but that didn't mean he was evil, right?

"No."

Ruby shook her head, looking at the screen,"I'll just wait to see his past and then i'm sure i can make a choice if he's good or evil."

She really, really wanted to believe her new friend was a good guy and while she was young and naive, she wasn't stupid. He had no reason to save her and Levi during the bombing. While his reputation spoke for itself pointing him to being a monster worse then the Grimm themselves, it was clear he didn't do anything without a reason and even then, it also seemed to help the people in need.

No, she'd just wait to see what his memories had to offer and then, she would make up her own mind about it.

Besides, he was trying to stop a war from starting that would basically end all of mankind, if that isn't that wasn't heroic, she didn't know what was! Unknown to Ruby, her mother noticed her inner conflict but said nothing, knowing her own personal feelings on the matter were a bit skewered at the moment. Summer knew she had to help Xero prevent the Dead War from becoming a reality and not just some terrible dream, vision? and she was a bit quick to judge the young man, simply because he looks like her back stabbing teammate, Raven.

That fact alone made Summer feel ashamed of herself, feeling no better then those racists to Faunus. Judging someone for something they couldn't control and while Xero did his own hair style, how was he suppose to know that it was a dead ringer for Raven?

It wasn't, it was her own damn fault for jumping the gun and with this new information, left the mother torn. She had no idea what to do or if she should support the Reaper or not. Because of this, she decide it was best to let Ruby make up her own mind, as she couldn't even make up hers!

Xero himself sighed, when he felt a spike of anger and irritation, causing him to look over to see a certain beastly Berserker looking ready to go, well Berserk. This caused him to stiffen, he had to clam her down and fast!

"Sia, let me up."

Normally the Caster would have protested, whining about not wanting to leave her comfy seat but upon seeing the very irritated Berserker looking ready to give into her class's impulses need to destroy anything and everything, didn't protest and wordless got up. It wasn't hard to notice how much the Berserker seemed to be so twitchy, ever since he came back with Jalter and Arthur hanging off her arms seemed to make her a little jealous, no doubt feeling like her claim to her mate was being threaten. Even if she agreed to the whole harem idea, that didn't stop her more animalistic urges from boiling up, urging her to protect her territory.

The fact she was an Alter Servant certainly didn't help either. But to her credit, she had done pretty well to keep her instincts in check for the most part but right now?

Right now she looked like she was reaching her breaking point and he had to pacify her before she lost it. Said Alter was looking at the screen, eyes narrowed into thin silts, as her sharp nose caught the scent of her mate on those two interlopers. She was gripping her arms tightly, cause if she didn't, she was sure her claws would met the Avenger and Saber's bodies in a more intimate way. Her tail was also acting in an agitated manner, as it stiffly moved slowly back and fourth, as if it was waiting for something, as her anger rose to new heights, as the scent of sex had ruthlessly filled her nose non-stop.

That isn't what pissed her off, oh no sir, what was making Atalanta Alter so angry, was the simply fact they were mocking her.

Practical rubbing her nose in that fact they had gotten some mating time and she didn't. Every fiber of her being was screaming at her, to take her mate and show him, how much better SHE was, then Mr. Goody two shoes and the blackened holy whore. She was tempted to do that right in front of ever, just so she could warred off Mikasa and Pieck from trying to claim a piece of her mate's heart, along with that damn necromancer. Why did her beloved have to have such a big heart and so damn attractive?

The good thing about people, who have hair trigger tempers?

"Hey B, you okay?"

The Alter's narrowed eyes and feral growls stopped, as Xero made sure to run his hands over her ears in just the way she loved it, making her purr a little. The good thing was that those with short tempers, were just as quick to clam down.

"I-i am now, master. Having you're scent near me, it...helps me clam down."

The Berserker sighed in content, feeling her rage leave her, shifting back into her second ascension form so her armor wouldn't crush her beloved. When her master had come over, she had subconsciously moved out of her seat, so her mate could seat in it, while she took her rightful place on his lap. Letting him run his fingers through her hair and massaging her lion ears, while her tail wrapped itself around his waist tightly effectively clamming her down right quick, all the while she leaned on her shoulder, letting her head rest on it.

Good, disaster avoided.

He didn't need to ask why she looked like she was ready to blow her top. For years now, ever since he helped her reach the height of her power, Atalanta Alter had problems with her anger, losing control of it for seemly no reason what so ever. Funny enough, this whole thing started on one peculiar valentine's day when the Berserker had suddenly burst into his room and things snowballed from that point on.

The only thing that seemed to clam the raging storm within her, was her mate's scent and now that they've made it official, it's became the norm for the Berserker to just sit on his lap, inhaling his scent till she clammed down.

Da Vinic had told the two it was mostly because of the nature of her class and the fact her more, how say we say human side clashed with her animalistic side. So whenever the Altered Berserker grew too enraged, everyone just basically threw Xero at her.

Assholes.

Thankful it's worked out for the most part.

Mostly.

The 1/2 part of the time nowadays, was that Xero had the fuck the ever living hell out of the Berserker, to the point she couldn't stand any longer.

"Father..."

The master and Servant looked to see little Altera tugging on Xero's pants, silently asking to also sit in his lap, causing him to smile. The Berserker adjusted herself, so the little Saber was between the two of them, Altera's head on his chest and little legs kicked out on the Alter's legs.

To many, it was an adorable site, making them smile. Even if quite a few of the child Servants pouted at the Saber's quick thinking, as the screen started up again.

"Tch."

Ilia however scoffed, feeling a pint of jealousy rip through her chest and disgust. Why did a Faunus, one as beautiful and powerful as Berserker(That's what she was called, right?) cuddle up to some weak human like Mazoku when she should be with her own kind? Why couldn't she, Ilia, a fully capable and good catch not have some hottie like that? Why was her love life so unfair and why couldn't she get someone like that?!

Adam did say the White Fang should be there for all Faunus(Whether they want to be saved or not) and she was wondering if she could do the same for Berserker. Surely the woman would be happy with the Faunus then some human, that probably treated her like shit.

Right?

Said Alter Berserker felt eyes boring into the back of her head and she didn't need to look to know her fellow Berserker was glaring at her. Atlanta Alter wasn't normally a petty person but she felt a smug sense of satisfaction well up within her at the fairy queen's glare, that teach her to try and lay claim to her mate.

Though surprisingly Mordred was glari-oh no, wait she was pouting! The blonde knight had her arms crossed over her modest chest and was looking away with a large pout, once the Berserker eyes met the Saber's.

Cute.

Had she been paying attention, she would have caught a certain Arc's bitter and jealous eyes watching the entire thing.

The icey winds bellowing all around the mountain reminded Xero of his time at Chaldea. Walking up the path towards the cable car that would lead them to the ski resort, the young teen followed the blonde girl, as she explained why they were all coming back to the mountain.

"...and Josh wanted us all to come back to basically remember Hannah and Beth, too remind us of the good times and to remember how much they meant to us. I don't think Josh will mind you being here, especially if you discover something about Beth and Hannah. The police haven't even found their...their bodies and i know if you found something, it'll mean the world to him."

"Well, that's surprising mature of you, if a bit dark. What makes you certain, Beth and Hannah are gone."

Xero was mindful to not use the word 'dead' as losing friends and or family was a pain he was all to intimately familiar with the pain that came with it. Especially when you blame yourself for their deaths.

"Ain't that the truth."

Peter sighed, as he understood where Sam and Xero were coming from, having blamed himself for his uncle Ben's death. Tony nodded, rubbing his Arc Reactor, remembering Yinsen, how he gave his life, so Tony could not only get out alive but turn his empty life around. Many others like Fury, Logan, Laura and pretty much all the Avengers, save for Eddie and Gambit, along with Rhodey and the other military personal all thought back to people who had died because of them, in one way or another.

Many of the Servants, both Xero's and Gudako's had their own regrets, losing people they were unable to protect caused a dull ache's in their chests to this day. Losing a friend or family was painful but failing them, allowing them to die when you could have done something, marked a scar on you're heart.

Romani's death had hit him hard, cause he failed to foresee IT. He failed to see it coming, as a result Olga had been killed and Romani had to use what power he had left, to not only resuscitated her as a Servant but used that same power to weaken IT, in order to give him and the rest of Chaldea a fighting chance to stop IT.

...After ensuring he'd get to keep his, no THEIR family together.

One of those visiting diplomats opened his mouth.

"All you're questions will be answered, if you keep watching. I'm not going to answer anymore questions, unless i'm certain it won't be revealed, so lets just keep going."

And closed it just as quickly.

Sam nodded, face falling a little,"Yeah well, it's been a year. If they didn't die right away, there's not much hope now. If they were alive, they'd shown up by now or some sort of sign of them somewhere. I haven't said anything to Josh but i'm pretty sure their dead, at the very least, dead they won't have to suffer anymore. Being lost out here...isn't something i'd wish on my worst enemy."

She said, waving her arms around the wintery scenery before them.

"Hmmm."

Xero made a noise of understanding, idly remembering the times he'd been trapped during a huge blizzard throughout the Chaldea quest, while on a mission or just a good old fashion farming. That wasn't fun, nor was freezing his balls off, but compared to the chilly winds in Chaldea, along with the numerous adventures he'd gone through and even using Ice Force State, this mountain's cold barely effected him and not because of his clothing either. If nothing else, he'd come to love the cold.

The icey winds, the beauty of the freshly fallen snow and the way the snow fell to the ground was just perfection in his mind. The scent of the snow filled his nose, reminding him more and more of his home he found within Chaldea. Even if the winds would have normally made people freeze their balls off.

"Heh, freezing balls. More like 'i'm freezing my nuts off.'"

Gudako giggled to herself, remembering a certain youtube video of the penguin yelling that. But more then a few people wondered what Xero meant by "Ice Force State". whatever it was, it sounded powerful.

And dangerous.

Heh, wimps.

"Ah wha?"

Xero snapped out of his musing, to see Sam holding a note that was attached to the metal gate. Like most gates, it was pitch black with spiked ends and a brick walls on either side.

"What is it?"

Sam held up the note for him to read:

'Gate broke, climb over. Chris.'

"Man, this sucks. Guess we'll just have to climb over."

"Ah, no we don't, i can get the gate open no mind."

Sam looked at Xero weirdly, with an eyebrow raised,"So, what you're going to do, push it open or something?"

"Yes."

Was the taller teen's deadpan response, looking at Sam like she was an idiot.

"Okay, you get that from Tony, no doubt."

Pepper knew that look all to well, as she had seen it on her boyfriend's face far too many times. Thankful it was never aimed at her, otherwise Tony might find himself on the couch.

"Snort, what are you doing to do? You've got no magic."

Adam mocked, making the Servants scowl at the Faunus. Normally they wouldn't have cared about their master being mocked, as it was more playful banter then anything else most of the time with the Avengers and of course, Cu's never ending mockery too but this Adam was being a dick for the sake of being a dick.

"Hmmmm, that is true, so i just did what anyone would do and ya know, pushed it open. I know being patient isn't a bull's MO but prove me wrong, will yeah?"

The Faunus growled again but did nothing, looking back to the screen.

"Heh, uh, you do realize that's pure steel with magnetic locks right? Honestly, you'd have a better chance at getting a bulldozer up here, then forcing it open."

"Well, i'd best get to bull dozing then."

Xero rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck while adjusting his duffle bag, so it laid acorss his lower waist. Walking in front of the black gate, he saw Sam gave him an 'after you' motion. Grabbing the gate's two separate gate's, digging his feet into the snow and,"Hrrrgggggg."

CREAK

GROAN

CREAK

The taller teen started pushing, as Sam watched with wide eyes as the gate slowly but surely gave away, the locks failing to hold together as the Grimm Reaper used his inhuman strength to pry the gate open. Without giving ground, Xero's long legs moved his body forward, as the gate's locks whined in protest but started coming apart more and more, until-

CLUNG

The double door gates opened up, slowly swinging wide open, like it was too welcoming the duo.

Xero breathed out, wiping his hands like he was trying to get dust off them as he looked back at a shocked Sam,"Shall we go, my lady."

"Wow, okay now that was impressive."

She said, after snapping out of her dumbfounded state, she began to nod her head and clapping her hands,"Iv'e never seen that kind of brute strength before. At least, not in real life anyway but just, damn, you've been working out?"

"Damn. Now that was impressive, forcing open a magnetic lock like that isn't easy and you didn't even break a sweat doing it."

The queen of the shadow land merely smirked, flipping some of her wine red hair over her slim shoulder"Of course he did, even if it wasn't really that impressive. Xero is both my master, husband and student. I trained that boy into the ground for years, something as simply as a magnetic lock is nothing for him. I made sure of it."

"WE made sure of it."

The Amazon queen cut in, glaring at the smug Lancer, who simply ignored the Berserker. Hmmm, not something one would do, if they wanted to keep their health in fine condition.

"Clearly."

Barghest said, intrigued by the display of pure strength and while Scathach said is true that it wasn't all that impressive, it wasn't normal either. It wouldn't be the first time she'd felt her interest in him spike, as the first time was when she learned he defeated Ursula, a full grown dragon one on one no less! The second time, was when Xero went head to head with Loki and won!

Needless to say, her interest was very much warranted and she started paying much closer attention to the male master.

The large woman would be lying if she wasn't shocked to see so many Servants marry the male master and while Gudako was her master, Xero always made sure she had what she needed. As a leader, the fairy knight understood it was Xero's job to take care of those under him and while it made her smile, she wasn't sure what she thought or felt about him.

Even after all this time(Which wasn't very long if she was being honest), he was still such a strange human from her POV.

"Tch, it wasn't that impressive."

Emerald said under her breath, still quite bitter at getting her ass so soundly handed to her. She went ignored though.

"I eat a lot of protein."

"Heh, good one boss."

Fury snorted,"A lot of protein my ass."

No amount of protein or even advanced armor allows you to get into a fist fight with the god of Mischief and win.

"But did you really have to break the gate?"

Xero just smiled,"Break it? I was under the impression, it was already broken? I just helped move it out of the way."

Sam paused for a moment, before slowly nodding,"Well...you're not wrong, i mean it IS broken. Not like you made it any worse and i won't say anything if you don't."

"Don't plan on it, besides it looks better this way. Open, like it's suppose to be."

"That and we might need a quick get away, in case there really is a WENDIGO on this mountain. Never hurts to have a clear path forward."

Especially when just a second, a SECOND can mean the difference between life and death. Having a wide path open to them is nice and if possible, the best option if you want to escape real quick, so you don't accidently trip or something stupid like that.

That thought made Xero frown behind his scarf, death by tripping?

Lame.

"Wendigo?"

Summer perked up,"What's that? Is that the monster?"

"A Wendigo is a mythological creature or evil spirit which originates from the folklore of First Nations based in and around the East Coast forests of Canada, the Great Plains region of the United States, and the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada, grouped in modern ethnology as speakers of Algonquian-family languages. The wendigo is often said to be a malevolent spirit, sometimes depicted as a creature with human-like characteristics, which possesses human beings. The wendigo is known to invoke feelings of insatiable greed/hunger, the desire to cannibalize other humans, as well as the propensity to commit murder in those that fall under its influence. At odds with its portrayals in twentieth-century and twenty-first-century settler culture, in indigenous representations the wendigo is described as a giant humanoid with a heart of ice; a foul stench or sudden, unseasonable chill might precede its approach. Possibly due to longtime identification by Europeans with their own superstitions about werewolves, for example as mentioned in The Jesuit Relations below, Hollywood film representations often label human/beast hybrids featuring antlers or horns with the "wendigo" name, but such animal features do not appear in the original indigenous stories. In modern psychiatry the wendigo lends its name to a form of psychosis known as "Wendigo psychosis" which is characterized by symptoms such as: an intense craving for human flesh and an intense fear of becoming a cannibal. Wendigo psychosis is described as a culture-bound syndrome. In some First Nations communities other symptoms such as insatiable greed and destruction of the environment are also thought to be symptoms of Wendigo psychosis."

Penny spoke in a robotic tone, eyes guileless as she read the definition of a Wendigo on wikipedia.

When Penny blinked, she realized everyone was starting at her like she'd gone a second head and upon realizing what she just said, tried to deflect the attention,"I uh, looked up a lot of stuff on this wikipedia site. I thought it help me understand Earth and it's various cultures better."

In her defense, it was a good explanation and a valid one too as you could find anything on wikipedia, along with the fact her reasoning was also very possible. Expect for one thing:

Many people within the room found it odd WHY she looked up that specific term and worded it like she just read it right from the page itself. There was such a thing like photo graphic memory but this?

This was way too ridiculous and far too accurate a description too be something like photo graphic memory. Even Xero himself would find himself hard pressed to remember that entire page word for word and he should know, cause he had silently acted his Focus, reading that very same page Penny just spoke of. But rather then call her out on it, he decide to just leave it for now.

No one else needed to know Penny was an android, not when she was trying so hard to be a normal girl. He was an asshole sure but not a jerk.

"Yes, well yeah basically what she said. It wasn't i decide on lightly, as i had done my research and with major factors playing into it, i had come to the conclusion that it was either a case of bad luck or it was a Wendigo."

"Might i ask, what were those factors exactly? Not to be rude Lord Mazoku, but being a native American monster is real sounds a little too far fetched."

Whitely asked diplomatically, fully aware of his father and sisters' eyes on him. His father asked him to get close to the Starks and despite the Maozku's brutish methods, their was no denying Xero held a lot of sway with people and it would be a good idea to aligned one's self with the savior of humanity.

"Well little Schnee, you are indeed right about it being a bit far fetched but in my line of work, the most far fetched idea is often the right one. But that just comes with the territory and ya know, since it's me, of course it's going to be the most deadliest option out of them all, purely just because i got involved. Now, one of the major factors actually came in the form of the 1952 mining cave in. I can say with absolute certainty that their were indeed thirty miners that were trapped within the cave system and only twelve made it out alive. The 'Miracle Man' they were called, for surviving a month within the caves."

"Oh my, that's horrible."

Kali held a hand to her mouth, eyes wide in shock, making Xero nod.

"Oh yes, it was but you see, that's just the beginning of the horror. You see, within that darkness, a hunger overcame those poor miners. With no food, water, sunlight and death staring you in the face, you do things you wouldn't normally do, let alone considered to do. Now you see i told you thirty men were down there right, so why did only twelve make it out alive? What happened to the other eighteen and why weren't they mentioned at all? Never mind the fact, how did those twelve survive down in a deep, dark hole with no food or water to speak of?"

Everyone silently thought over the question, a few began to connect the dots and paled as a result. One of them was none other then Ozpin, who clenched his coffee mug and closed his eyes, before answering,"When push comes to shove and a person gets desperate enough with very little options in sight, anyone would do anything to survive. Even if that means turning too..."

He trailed off, unable to finish that sentence.

"Cannibalism. Those miners, the ones that survived saw no way out and as a result, those that had already perished were eaten by those who had gone past the point of no return. We have reason to believe those that didn't commit the taboo, we're killed by those who did and eaten alive as a result."

Europa said sadly, one of Xero's self proclaimed "loving grandma's" had been very disheartened to learn her master/grandson had gone off on his own to fight the monsters but was very proud of him for saving Sam and the others. Even Zeus-sama was pleased to hear that Xero had destroyed the Makkapitew, the one that had possessed that poor girl's body and helped her find peace.

Nobody deserved that kind of fate.

Naturally the light haired woman's answer had gotten many reactions, ones involving green faces, gagging and even some people looking like they were trying to stop themselves from throwing up.

"BLLLRRRRGGGGGG"

Oh wait, some actually did throw up.

Namely those like Ruby, Jaune, Weiss, Whitely, Nora(Shockingly enough) Marrow(Cause's he's one of the best boys and honestly, even in Remnant cannibalism is all but forbidden) Yang, all of team SSSN, Sasha, Connie(Seeing as these two love food) and hell, even Roman himself looked like he was ready to lose his own lunch, along with all of the politicians.

Pussies.

The hunters in training are one thing, Roman cause he had standards but those in power?

Nope, their just flat out pussies.

"What the fuck?! The hell's wrong with them?!"

Elm yelled, looking equally as green as many others.

"That is wrong, just...so wrong on so many levels."

Weiss muttered, puking into the bucket that magically appeared when she was ready to empty her stomach contents.

"It is indeed but it's just as my young friend said, when a person is pushed to the edge and see no end in sight, they do things they wouldn't even considered doing before. After all, an animal is far more dangerous when backed into a corner and humans, for all our advancement are no different in the end. No body wants to die and many will do anything to prevent it, no matter how wrong it is."

"Isn't that the truth."

Lionheart thought to himself, feeling guilt spring up within his chest, much like the fear Salem had installed within him. Once before, he'd been a proud soldier and huntsman, ready and willingly to give his life for the people of Remnant.

Until Salem found him and broke him and broke him HARD.

"I must say, as bad as things can get i can't say i have ever heard of a case of cannibalism ever happening in Remnant, not even in Vacuo. Despite it's conditions, everyone knows that eating or even killing other people at random will only help the Grimm even more."

Theo said, brows furrowed at the thought of the act of eating another human(Or Faunus) being.

"Sadly headmaster, cannibalism is one of the oldest crimes on Earth. In fact, in the past their were entire tribes and even civilizations that revolve around cannibalism and while it didn't last long for obvious reasons, they still existed."

Hange said, mind going back to her reading up on those books back in her collage days.

"That's disgusting."

Cinder wrinkled her nose at the thought, even if Grimm ate humans and Faunus alike, it was to be expected. But humans eating other humans...even she found that revolting.

"So, this Wendigo thingy, wh-"

"Ya know it, when you see it, trust me. It's kinda hard to miss."

Xero cut off Jaune, as the blonde nodded, while the Berserker in his lap adjusted herself so her bare legs were dangling off to the side, while little Altera layed back into her 'father's' chest.

Xero and Sam made their way through the wintery forest path, a silence fallen between the two as they made their way towards the cable car station. At least it was, till Sam spotted something.

"Hey, what's that?"

Up ahead, next to a sign of some sort, one being held up back a rock wall of sorts. It showed a native American man's head on it. The two walked up to it and it reading the following:

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE AND BUTTERFLY PROPHIES

"TRIBES WHO ONCE LIVED IN THESE MOUNATINS BELEIVED THAT BUTTERFLIES CARRIED DREAMS AND PROPHIES OF POSSIBLE COLOR OF THE BUTTERFLIES INDICATE THE NATURE OF THE PROHPHECY.

Black butterflies prophesied the dreamer's death.

Red butterflies warned of dangerous events.

Brown butterflies foretold of tragedies affecting friends.

Yellow butterflies offered visions to help and guide.

White butterflies brought dreams of luck and good fortune.

"The Cree believed in living in harmony with the wildlife and apparently the butterfly effect too. The Cree believe that time is like a river, while it's always in motion, it can change very quickly by a just one choice. Just one choice, one decision can change the course of history. They believed if they could chose the correct path, they're future be secure."

Fascinating, truly fascinating."

Oobleck muttered, writing so quickly on his notepad, as one could swear they could see smoke rising from his pencil.

Xero said, silently wiping away the snow that had been steadily building up on it. Looking back towards his companion, who's eyes had shoot up in surprise,"Whoa, i didn't know that. I knew that there were native Americans living on this mountain long before but i didn't know which tribe it was. How did you know?"

"When i do my research, i tend to do it very thoroughly as it can help in ways you wouldn't normally think. Of course, earlier explores didn't exactly take too kindly to the NA and were more included towards kill everything in sight, ask questions never type of attitude. The tribes had to find ways to fight back, get around the explores and in most extreme cases, find ways to spook them so badly, they'd go running with their tails between their legs and either pissing or shitting themselves."

Xero paused for a moment, before adding,"Heh, probably both."

"Hmmmm."

"Ghira..."

The large man shook his head at his wife,"It's nothing Kali, just that this reminds me of how humans and Faunus first interacted a little too much."

His wife nodded, having similar thoughts on the matter.

Sam nodded, her green eyes wandering to the ground and spotted something,"Hey, is that a Totem?"

Looking over, Xero had enough time to see Sam turn the Totem over and-

The bird landed on the barrel, silently cocking it's hand to the side, as if it saw something and took off just as quickly. Nature stayed in balance.

"Eh, what just happened?"

Pepper wondered, as nobody had an answer for the sudden transference of scenes.

Xero blinked, as his vision came back into focus.

"The hell was that?"

"Man, trippy."

Sam also shook her head, putting the wooden piece down and rubbing her eyes.

"Oh i get it! That just saw a possible future, right?!"

Nora yelled, jumping up and smiling at Xero who nodded,"Yep. As odd as it sounds, that was indeed a future, just not a very useful one but a possible future never the less."

"Umu, it really is just a downgraded version of king Solomon's Clairvoyance skill, the ability to see into the future and even past."

Nero said it was a skill Solomon had, so no one else would try to take advantage of her beloved praetor.

"But if Sam picked it up, how did Xero see it then?"

Ren asked the main question, how did he see the vision if he didn't pick up the totem himself?

"It's an ability of mine called-"

"Retrocognition, from the Latin retro meaning "backward, behind" and cognition meaning "knowing", describes "knowledge of a past event which could not have been learned or inferred by normal means". The term was coined by Frederic W. H. Myers."

Danzo spoke, earning all eyes on her, making the robotic doll continue,"It is an ability my lord acquired in the town of Little Hope, i believe the name was. It basically lets him seen into the past but only when he's inside a certain place, touching a certain item and the matter of how hard he focuses on the past event can determine how much of the past he can see."

"It really depends on when, where and what i'm doing. You'll see what she means, when Mike and i reached the old sanatorium."

Everyone mulled over with what he said, some a bit more uneasy then others as this new ability seemed to give the young man a new dangerous edge, while the president remember something Xero said and wanted to address it.

"Little Hope...isn't that the town of Dayton, in Waupaca County?"

"And wasn't famous for it's Salem Witch Trials, as most happened in that said town but shut down due to the factory going bankrupt after some fire had killed it's top worker?"

Eddie added on, wondering the same thing, as Xero nodded smiling a little,"That it was and the fire actually killed John and his entire family, save for the eldest son. Be it luck or some form of punishment by the goddess, Anthony, the son that survived was the main suspect and even though he was never convicted due to lack of evidence, everyone believed he did it. Not that it really made a difference in the end i suppose, as the factory shut down like i said earlier and everyone left, leaving the town all but completely abandoned."

"For the record, the witch trails in Little Hope were practical brutal in their killings."

"K-killings?"

Ruby asked the busty redhead with a shuddered, as the master raised an eyebrow at the small girl before smacking her forehead with her free arm,"Oh yeah, that's right you don't know. Well, remember when Oni-chan said that normal people and magic, don't get along? Well, a bunch of assholes with too much power decide it be a good idea to get rid of us, for no better reason other then the fact we could become a threat to them and don't even bother denying it, that's how it always happen. Magus dare reveal themselves and we all get the comping block, along with a good number of innocent people too boot. So these assholes had come up with a number of derange and twisted ideas on how to kill us all. Most common practice was of course but not limited to being burned alive, stoned, heavy rocks tied to their ankles and drowned, the list goes on. It was pretty suckie time to be alive and i'm pretty sure that's why Oni-chan is letting BB do this, because if the witch hunts start again, it won't end well...for EITHER side."

The redhead adjusted herself in the king of king's arms, casting a glance towards those from Remnant,"Even more so with the new world merge with ours."

"Shit, you're making it sound like Magus were treated like Faunus when humans first met them."

Roman spoke, finding similarities between Magus and Faunus.

"Well there are but unlike the Faunus, they aren't so openly and so acceptable killed at a moments notice. Despite basically being second class citizens, you should be happy that you can at least walk around freely, not exactly free but at least you don't have to worry about the entire world hunting you down to kill you, just because you've been blessed with unique power."

Medea said, a look of sorrow crossing her pretty face. Faunus had it bad sure, but no where near as bad as Magus had it. At least they can walk around freely, without worry of a man hunt being formed and their rest of their rest hunted down, simply because they have a power normal people didn't.

"Well, at least if the world does turn against you, the White Fang will be more then happy to accept you and Lord Mazoku into our ranks. I'm certain Ghira would also be happy to welcome you to our island, should you need it."

Sienna spoke with a shark like grin, if things went to hell, she was sure she could gain a powerful ally out of it, one that could turn the tide over night. While she could see the disbelief from some of her people, she could see the Alban brothers smiling, easily seeing the plan she was making and were more then eager to agree to it, one the same page for once.

What an odd feeling.

"Sigh, you forget how bad a history the Magus have, with all that's happened. Damnit."

Eren cursed, feeling like shit even though he didn't have anything to do with what happened over many, many years ago. Armin nodded, as Mikasa had meant to ask Xero if he was okay, but Pieck beat her too it.

"Yeah i'm fine Pieck, it's just one of those things i've learned to deal with. No matter what i do, no matter how hard i try, they're will always be those who want the Magus dead. So, i'll just have to deal with it when i cross that bridge when i come to it.

"It's that bad?"

Ororo knew the history of magic was one filled with blood shed and more often then not, bloody murder but she had no clue it was THIS bad.

"Sadly miss Monroe, it is worse. That is why the Church and Mage's Association exist: To protect the secrets of magic and the Magus from the rest of the world. But this strategy, our keeping everything a secret can no longer work. With the rise of technology, the day and age we live in is a digital one. Sooner or later the secret will be exposed and at worst, a war will break out, which will more then likely end the world as this war between the Magus and normal humans will end this world. The fact Remnant has now merge with our world and the threat of the Grimm has only made it more apparent, we need to change if we are to survive the coming storm. The laws that have protected our kind for so long, can no longer do it, as times are changing and we need to change with them or else, our time on this world will end. That is why the Church has sided with Lord Mazoku and is allowing him to reveal the secret of Magus, even the Mage's Association allowing these actions to processed. Nothing can last forever and sooner or later, the secret will come out. It always does, so rather then wait for the inevitable, we decide it was best we do it on our OWN terms, rather then let someone else write the narrative."

Father Vincent then smiled,"Who better to write the narrative then the man who has saved the world three times over?"

"Seeing as Xero-sensei is already a hero to the common folk and now that's he's saved the world from not only an alien invasion but events which you will soon learn of, he's is the prefect person to become the face of the Magus community. Someone to rally behind and seeing as there's not a Magus alive who doesn't know Lord Mazoku, his wife Lady Gudako and even his clan, it only makes sense he'd become our symbol."

"Damn, just what did you do to earn such a rep kid?"

Qrow asked, ignoring the dark look Xenovia sent him.

"Too much."

Said master spoke with a tired tone of voice, shaking his head,"Can we just get back to the viewing and for fuck's sake, we'd be here forever if i have to explain ever little detail, when it's so much easier to show you all. So quit asking things that well be revealed."

Many looked like they still wanted to ask questions but ultimately did as he asked and turned their attention back towards the big screen.

"Hmmm, ya know Eddie, with the way things are turning out, i don't think Zee will mind to give you an interview and that could easily put you back on top."

"What? I can't take advantage of him like that!"

Eddie mentally yelled back to his partner, as he could feel Venom grinning at him,"I'm not saying to do so without his permission. Tell me, how many other reports does Zee trust to ACTUALLY write the truth and not Rita Steeker it?"

Eddie stayed silent, as that was a very easy question. Xero hardly trusted anyone outside of his circle of friends and with good reason! As far as Eddie could tell, the only people Xero really, truly trusted were those that fought along side him and that included him, the Avengers, the 104th, Erwin, Hange and some of the allies he hadn't told his father yet.

Naturally that included the Church but Eddie idly wonder who else he had as an ally.

"Does he really have a hard time trusting others?"

"Haven't you been listening you moron? Just look at the history of the Magus or just magic in general, every time they reveal themselves, it's a bloodbath. Keeping secrets and others at arms length is their way of surviving, even if it has gotten many of them killed, the fact they became know puts a huge target on their backs. Hell just one accusation, truthful or not, ends up with people being BURNED to death. Zee has reasons to keep secrets and is very slow to put trust in someone. I'm betting the only reason he trusts is so much, is because i'm with you. Simply because if you ratted him out, he could do the same to us."

"Wow, that's...kinda depressing."

Eddie knew it wasn't an insult but he couldn't help but feel a bit depressed to know that basically, Xero was only friends with him because he was a different. Someone that was basically a freak among normal people and could only befriend another freak.

Or a Magus.

"You do realize that the term of 'freak' is merely a word for people to place on what they do not understand. Look at Zee and big red, they're supposedly freaks for having magic and yet, their is an entire society full of people like them."

"Well to be fair V, i don't think either one of them can qualify as normal anymore. Not even by the Magus themselves and you heard the Father, those two are suppose to be the strongest Magus of this generation."

Venom hummed but otherwise, said nothing more. Nothing else needed to be said, as they both brought up good points and decide it was best to just leave it at that, as the screening started again.

"Come on, it'll be dark soon and while i'm perfectly fine with walking around in the pitch black of night, i don't believe you'd be the same, Sammy."

"Right."

'Sammy' rolled her eyes, as the two made their way up to the cable car station. As the duo walked up the path, the green station came into view, as did a sign with some very interesting writing on it.

"Whoa, graffiti all the way up here?"

The two got closer to the sign and it said, in big, blocky red letters:

'THE PAST IS BEYOND OUR CONTROL'

"That's not entirely true for us."

Carmilla said softly to herself, knowing even if they couldn't change the course of history, their time in Chaldea allowed her beloved master to mess with the past all he wanted. Not like anyone was left alive to do so otherwise and even after learning what he did, there was little point in arguing with him. Coming from an ancient family, one that was alive during the age of the gods and being a Mazoku had given Xero a massive amount of sway in the Magus world.

That helped in the past nearly two years her master had allied himself with countries like Wakanda and Symkaria, thus giving him ties to Sable International as well. That also included their advanced tech as well, something her master took advantage of to create what he calls a "Photon sword", even if everyone knew what it truly was.

That didn't stop her master from constantly denying what it truly is.

"Yes, well that's bit of an odd choice of words, isn't it?"

Xero brows furrowed under his fuzzy hat,"Why would someone come all the way up here, deface a sign and yet only say something so very obvious to everyone. 'The past is beyond our control' news flash, everyone knows that, so why write it here of all places? There's no gang symbols to tell us which gang it was and last time i check, their were none in this arena, so this is nothing more then just a stand alone comment, something for everyone to read and see truth from it. But why here, nobody comes up here save for a select few. Plus with barely anyone coming up here with the death of Beth and Hannah, hardly anyone come by here anymore. Why anyone would put this all the way up here with little to no people coming by makes no sense."

Sam frowned,"Ya know, that is a good point. Why would anyone write this, up here of all places? The only people who would see it are..."

Sam trailed off, frown deepening as she realized there was someone who would see it. A certain family, who just last year took one of the hardest hits any family could take and the events were well beyond their control.

"Did Josh write this?"

Meanwhile, Xero idly wondered if the elder brother had done this, mentally reviewing he knew about the Washington boy.

"Joshua 'Josh' Washington, first child of movie mogul Bob Washington and his wife, Melinda, age nineteen. Personality, thoughtful, loving, and complex. He dreams of following his father's footsteps in becoming a film producer make him very knowledgeable about special effects and movie props and as such, he constantly uses phrases and words from movies. Heh, not that's such a bad thing and he clearly has the drive to do well. But he still struggles to come to terms with the disappearance of his sisters. The event triggered depression, which became more and more severe, even more so after Hannah and Beth died. Dr. Hill also noted in his report that Josh has been diagnosed as mentally ill since he was 11 years old. However, all medications that are listed in the record are solely for depression treatment. It is also implied he has a fear of isolation. It's is very possible he has symptoms of psychosis, which have been caused by this depression, and schizophrenia. Not to surprising given hos father's works and of course, his sisters death. Said deaths may have had sever consequences for his mentality and mental health, which may have caused him to have a psychotic break."

Xero's frown also deepened as Sam's, casting an eye to the sign once again,"Josh...did you really unite your friends to honor you're sister or do you have a much darker plan in mind? Not that i can blame you, but...hmm, i need more information."

Despite what many people thought, Xero did his research on his targets before he went after them.

"Damn, did you just write up a psych profile for Josh?"

Sam asked, thoroughly impressed with Xero's deduction of Josh's mental state.

"I have to agree, that was well done Xero."

Erwin smiled, already knowing his young friend was indeed skilled and this showed just one of his many skills.

"Yeah, it was impressive."

Tony said, trailing off a bit at yet another skill his dear son didn't tell him he had. It was no secret to Tony that Magus kept pretty much everything a secret and that's just how his son was raised by Lilith, that was the Magus way. While he had opened up a little more now a days, there was still so much he didn't know about Xero. He wanted to known more about Xero but Tony didn't expect for him to find out like this. All the while Clint nudge Natasha's shoulder,"Better watch out Nat, Zero could be trying to take you're job."

"Is that such a bad thing? Knowing how to read people is a valuable skill to have, especially for a leader."

Xero merely shrugged, placing one hand to support Berserker and the other to allow little Saber to dangly off his kneecap,"I won't say i got some PHD in psychology, cause i don't. What you just say, was nothing more then results of years and years of experience of dealing with hundreds upon thousands of people from all over the world and many different cultures. Despite my age and appearance i've been around the block more then once, so what i did was nothing more then looking at the situation logically and nothing more then a process of elimination, looking at information that was already obtained. All i did was merely put together the jigsaw puzzle that was the scene and while i didn't get the full picture, i got an idea of what it was."

"Wow, you're really smart Xero."

Ruby said with a bright smile, as the older teen waved off the compliment,"I am but like i said, logic and deduction, nothing more."

"She's right you know, you shouldn't sell you're skills so shortly Mazoku, not many would have made the connection you just made, let alone so quickly."

Fury spoke, not wanting to see such a useful skill go to waste. Barton wasn't wrong, if the kid put his mind to it, he could be on the same skill level as Natasha when it came to reading people and building up psych profiles.

"Still, it's interesting to see a person's actually thoughts forming as they think about it is truly amazing sight to behold."

Hange wrote down some notes, her gut told her she'd be writing down books before this was over. Not that she was the only one, as Oobleck was doing the same as the brown haired woman. Something that Ozpin noticed and couldn't help but smile a little.

"Hmmmm, i must say it's almost like looking at a female Oobleck."

That would certainly go along way in building good relationships with the new world.

"Well guess it doesn't matter. Come on, it's getting colder and i want to get warm."

Sam's words knocked Xero from his train of thought, nodding along with the blonde, as the two made their way to the cable station, where a bag was on the wooden bench.

"This belong to a friend of youre's or should i expect a random bum that decide this be a good spot to pop a squat."

Xero's last bit of rhyming got a laugh from the green eyed blonde, as she shook her head,"No, i'm certain that's Chris's bag. Hey, Chris, where are you? You're not IN the bag are you?"

Sam spoke loudly, before looking at the gray book bag that had a touch screen phone hanging out. With a notification for a message no less. Sam made to grab the phone, maybe find some juicy dirt on Chris before she stopped, just an inch away from the phone before she decide to zip it up, muttering,"No, better not."

As fun as that would be, she didn't want to betray Chris trust, not after what happened last year.

"Hmph, wimp."

Mercury muttered, not in the mode to get beaten again so soundly but couldn't keep his mouth shut on the matter.

"Good move."

Xero mentally nodded to Sam choice, having a pretty good idea what she was thinking, not wanting to betray a friends trust, after losing two last year. No matter how small it was, trust was easily broken, even by the simplest things. You see, trust was like an old, wood rotten bridge. If you take care of it, give it constant attention and be careful not to put misuse it too much, it'll be fine. But if you act careless, abuse it and mistreat it, it'll fall apart faster then you could say, Alter Ego.

"If it were just another vacation for these kids, it wouldn't really matter if they decide to mess with each other. But trust is the only way their going to survive the night if they're really is a Wendigo on this mountain. When there's one, there's bound to be more for them lurking about, lying in wait."

The Wendigo were like wolves, traveling in packs and attacking with a damn near hive mind mentally.

"Of course they do, like they weren't scary enough as it was."

Ymir muttered to herself, causing Historia to elbow her 'friend'.

Never the less, it didn't matter how many Wendigo were on this mountain, these kids wouldn't survive if they couldn't trust one another. As small as this action of peaking at a phone might be, all it took was one small crack for trust to slowly unravel. Trust was vital key in terms of surviving and since it was very ironic coming from him of all people, Xero understood just how much of a precious resource it truly was, unlike most people. For someone in his position, trust was everything and if their was the tiniest bit of distrust, just one small amount of doubt could snowball from there, ultimately ending in only one way:

A bloodbath.

"Well that's a bit morbid but he's not wrong."

Reiner really had nothing else to say, knowing that the boss did have a point. Much like Mikasa, wherever he goes, death is left in his wake, along with broken and bloodie bodies behind. The only good thing is that they were criminals that more often then naught, killed many good, honest people that were just trying to live their lives.

"This isn't good."

Cinder narrowed her eyes, the more and more she watched, the more she felt threaten just by this boy's mere existence. The advantage she had over most people, was the fact many refused to kill and or weren't strong enough. Anyone that had the power to stand up to her in a fight mostly refused to kill, on some foolish notion of "morals" and "ethics".

Most huntsman were hero wannabe's, arrogant in their abilities or just plain stupid, unable to believe that they could be beaten by some no name person like her. It, at the time worked perfectly for her, as her anonymous states allowed her to move without a fuss and no one would see her coming, till it was too late. Plus it protected her from Ozpin and his inner circle, cause she knew some of them would kill her without hesitation and until she got the full power of the Fall Maiden, she dare not try anything too...direct.

But for the first time, in a long time, Cinder felt like someone was putting a vice on her neck and was slowly crushing her neck. And who was putting this vice on her, you ask?

Xero himself.

She had heard tales of her genius, his ruthlessness and deadly skill set.

She originally written him off at first, not believing some pampered rich boy could pose such a threat to her plans. But now, as things slowly unveiled themselves, Cinder found the vice on her new that she had been, since it was revealed he had magic was getting worse.

The more and more she watched, the more worried she got. This wasn't a boy that could be tricked by deception or controlled by force, as the second one had proven to be a complete failure. Those Servants of his were no joke, seemly able to bypass aura with nothing more then using simple moves that would be plain suicide for most normal people and now that she has seen his brain power in action?

Cinder now understood, right here and now:

She could not manipulate in the ways her mistress could or those she had done before him. Xero was slow to trust and even those he calls allies, he keep things from them, much like Ozpin had done and while she might be able to find a way to manipulate those soldiers, as much as it pained her, she couldn't manipulate Xero.

He was just too cautious, clearly always thinking ten steps ahead and if she made one wrong move, he'd see right through her, before she could ever make a lasting impact on the boy. Sending her minions to befriend him was well out of the question, thanks to their disastrous first meeting, it just be too suspicious to be ignored and Emerald clearly hated him for whatever foolish reason, it just be a complete waster of time. Just watching the first bout and listening to his reasons had only confirmed these facts for her. It couldn't be done and the best she could hope for was that these these "movies" revealed some sort of weakness for her to exploit, some chink in the armor so to speak, she could use. There was always a weakness.

There has to be!

"Master..."

Jeanne, the Ruler one couldn't help but clutch her palms together, feeling like she had failed her beloved yet again. While yes, she had done the best she could to keep her husband from completely sinking into the abyss, there's was only so much she and the others could do for him. Make no mistake, she was happy that he was the way he was, still kind and understanding but could be very cruel too, when he felt it was needed.

The best she and everyone else could do, was keep Xero from sinking completely into the abyss and becoming lost in his own pain and hatred.

Just like Avenger Xero.

The one before her was the best of both worlds but she knew, all it took was one, small misstep. Just one mistake, that's all it took for everything to become undone.

As both a saint and his wife, Jeanne swore she would not allow Xero to fall down the same dark path his Avenger self fell into. That was something she swore to herself, when she met Avenger Xero and now, to hear his thoughts so clearly only reinforced that.

"I won't let you fall into darkness, not if i've got anything to say about it!"

"Well i guess it doesn't matter, Wendigo, rats, criminals, monsters, cultist, demons, alien gods, Servants, Interdimensional beings, terrorists, Dead Apostles, it doesn't matter i'll cut them all down. I've only got less then twelve hours left till i get my magic back. Worse comes to worse, i have my duffle bag and of course, my yoki. May not be enough to even come close to grandma Miria's but it'll be more then enough if i run into any big trouble."

Xero couldn't help but smirk at that last bit, eyes once more flashing gold but just for a split second.

"Yoki?"

Hange looked at Xero, who merely smiled and said,"Keep watching and you'll see. Just know, it's one of the reasons why my clan was, well for a lack of a better word, physically stronger then most if not all Magus in the world. On my mother's side and the first matriarch of the Mazoku clan was a very powerful warrior, belonging to a sisterhood of sliver eyed warriors that fought one of the world's first monsters. Ones we called the Yoma. Miria was is a big influence on, as she was the original one that created our clan's Phantom style. While not much different from you're Grimm, the Yoma could have been called more dangerous then the Grimm back in the olden days but in today's world, they wouldn't have stood a chance."

He paused for a second, eyes narrowing a bit,"Well, no they still would be pretty dangerous now a days, simply because a normal Yoma can easily outmatch a human in terms of speed and strength. That's not even mentioning some of the voracious eaters or even Awakened Beings. While the former could be easily as dangerous as one of those damn werewolf knock off's you all have, no normal Grimm could ever hope to stand against an Awakened Being. Hell, high chance of you huntsman being killed off by an Awakened Being is also pretty high too."

"What?"

Ozpin felt like someone had dunked ice water on his head, as did a pair of certain sliver eyed ladies, a pissy bird and flame bitch, Ozpin's mind was whriling with thoughts, ideas and memoires, trying and failing to get an idea of the sliver eyes exiting on other worlds. Did the young man somehow posses the same power as Summer and Ruby or was it just in his genes?

COULD that power be awakened?

If so, would it have the same effect on the Grimm or not? More importantly, when not if, but when Salem found out, would she still try to sway Xero to her side or will she try to kill him?

"Just another reason to kill him off and strip him off his magic."

To Cinder, this was both good and bad news. The good news was that this would give her legitimate proof to Salem that Xero could be a massive threat to them and must be destroyed before he could go further. The bad news, this made him, as stated before, even more dangerous, a bigger threat now then she originally thought him to be.

Clearly, even if he didn't have sliver eyes himself the potent of his bloodline began to sound more and more dangerous. Unlike the Roses and other sliver eyed warriors throughout Remnant, there's no telling what his sliver eyes could do. Plus there's the eye flashing thing, what was it? It wasn't like the Maiden's eyes and it was very possible it wasn't connected to magic, as his magic was supposed to be sealed off for the night, so what was it?

Was it connected to this yoki thing and more importantly, what the hell was yoki anyway?

"A-another slivered eyed warrior?"

Summer felt her world tilt on it's axis, her eras were ringing for no other reason then pure shock at the information. Oh sure, she was dully aware of the fact Mikasa and Levi had damn near close to having sliver eyes but they were more steel gray then sliver. Plus Mikasa had a more mixture of blue and gray sliver. Ever since she was a child, Summer felt alone and after learning the truth, she understood why she felt so alone in the world. Not in a physical sense but more of a spiritual sense, as she was unique or at least her eye color was anyway.

As a wee girl, Summer had no idea just how special her eyes truly were until the truth of their world was revealed. Naturally it had scared her at first, followed by a sudden realization of why her family home was suddenly sent upon by a massive horde of Grimm that wiped out her home town and killed her parents, so very long ago.

Until that day, she didn't understand. Why?

Why did it felt like the Grimm single them out, out of everyone else? Why did Summer feel like it wasn't just a random attack but a specific targeting?

Why did she feel that way?

When she learned the truth about the Grimm, she understood right then and there:

Her family WAS targeted, by Salem for her eyes.

From that day, she swore she wouldn't allow something like that happen to her own little girl and it was only thanks to her old bitch of a teammate, Raven that she was alive today. The day she left Tai and Yang, was a very dark day for both of them, as that was their first true, real fight that would have left both of them dead, had Qrow not shown up when he did.

It was a very bitter fight, one that left scars on both women and destroyed their friendship. Summer never hated anyone, not even Salem as much as she hated Raven that day. Things were said and nothing could be taken back, forever changing things between them. If Raven wanted to go back to her damnable tribe, fine. But she would NOT drag Yang down with her.

Summer wouldn't let her. Qrow and Tai gladly helped her ensure that and Raven left without another word.

While that hate had faded with time, old wounds don't heal easily and it was only thanks to Raven saving her on that dreaded mission that left Summer from hate to cold indifference. Even if a small part of her wonder if Raven did in fcat regret what she did, it didn't change the fact she left of her own free will. So what if she believed Salem couldn't be beat, it would not change the fact that she would forever hound Summer, out of spite if nothing else.

Raven was a fool if she believed she could stay out of the war, while she had the Spring Maiden, it was just pure foolishness and Raven called HER a fool.

Look who's talking.

Never the less, Summer took one look at her daughter and realized she was thinking the same thing. She'd be lying if she didn't feel some kinship with the boy, when she first saw him, at the time thought, she originally believed it was because he looked like her old teammate.

Now she knew better.

"Besides, Ruby always wanted an older brother and i think if we play our cards right, she'll get one and we'll get a powerful ally."

Yes, that sounded like a good idea.

"You have GOT to be kidding me."

Raven on the other hand, wanted to tear her own hair out. It was like fate itself was laughing at her, dangling something so powerful in her face, basically giving it away, only to snatched it away a second later. There's no way Ozpin would allow this boy get away now, nor would he or his inner circle allow her to have someone so powerful to be put to good use, then stunk in some pointless war, especially Summer.

Damnit!

There's no way Summer would ever allow her kin(Even if he wasn't of the same blood, the fact he had a sliver eyed ancestor and that be enough for her) chose the "wrong side of history", allowing Raven to put the boy's talent to better use. Ozpin wouldn't either, he'd hunt her down to the ends of Remnant and that's not even including Salem into the mix.

Raven knew she had to play her cards very, very careful and already began to make a plan. Oh no, with not one but two Maidens under his command, Ozpin would be desperate to get that boy on his side. So desperate in fact, they might do something crazy and very much against their so called "moral code" and it would also more then likely fail horrible.

Ironwood would probably order their kidnapping or something, which would end in bloodshed that would cause an international incident and cause a war. Since Atlas would never admit they were in the wrong and most certainly, never apologize it would lead to them declaring war on the Avengers. Hell she even bet her left arm, that they would prevent war if they "gave" Ackerman and Stark to them willingly.

Something that Raven highly doubted the Avengers would do, even if it as too prevent war. The Avenges and Xero struck her as people who would defended their own till the bitter end, regardless of the odds stacked against them. Something Raven could respect and whatever happened, Raven knew she could use that to turn the boy to her side.

After all, that old fool would never tell him the full truth and she be more then happy to tell him the truth...for a price of course. Loyalty to the tribe and protecting them could be a good way to pay them back.

"So, wait are you saying you and you're family are actually mutants?"

Ellis asked, as Xero shook his head,"It's a bit more complicated then that, as in today's world, what is qualified as a mutant are those that carry the X-gene. We do not, as the sliver eyed warriors were human-yoma hybrids. You see, normal humans were horrible, hilarious outmatched by the Yoma and one of their abilities had everyone more terrified that would make the Grimm look like saints."

"And that ability being?"

Clover had a hard time believing that, as Grimm had hunted the people of Remnant since the beginning of time itself and he's seen his fair share of terrifying. He'd never seen a Yoma before or even know what one was, but surely they couldn't be-

"Well, you see they had this nasty little habit of taking over human bodies, wearing them as a make-shift human suit and no i am not joking, they literally take over a person's body like they were putting on a suit. Sometimes, the host is still alive and they are locked inside their own minds, as the Yoma uses their bodies to devour their friends and family. Grimm might come in horrors, different forms and even attached to negative emotions but at least they don't wear people's skins like some sort of twisted business suit."

Welp, Clover was a big enough man to admit, when he was wrong and he was most certainly wrong about the Yoma and was very happy the Grimm don't do the same. Along with his face turning to a near permanent sickly green and pale white from disguise and horror. Brothers how much more-

"To make things even worse, the Yoma can easily look into their victims mind and use their memories to act as if nothing ever happened. When a Yoma takes over a human, it's near impossible to tell which one is human and which isn't. This was during a time before recorded history, so there was no fancy tech or even guns to help humans feud them off. I have no doubt Atlas or even our world could have invented something to let use see which one was human or Yoma but back then? Nope, you're a screwed monkey and even a monkey have better luck then you, as Yoma have a exclusive taste for humans. Namely their guts and by guts, i mean they tear open you're stomachs and EAT you're digestive organs, including the stomach, small and large intestines, pancreas, liver, and gallbladder. JUST you're guts, not you're face, not you're legs or even you're brain, just you're guts. It's quite disgusting actually and honestly, pretty understandable why people were so afraid of them."

He then cast an eye over the people from Remnant, ignoring their pale/green faces,"Bad as the Grimm are, you should considered yourselves lucky that you don't have to deal with the Yoma. Be thankful for that fact. The sisterhood was created to fight back against these monsters, as they and they alone we're capable of finding them when their hiding in their human skin suits, let alone matching them on equal ground in a fight. But i suppose you could see it as huntsman against the Grimm. So, shall we continue the viewing or shall yours truly, continue to feed you all nightmare fuel. I've got plenty of inspiration and a lot more to tell."

"N-no, of course not, lets just get back to the viewing, yes?"

Ozpin said, pushing down the bile that threaten to come out of his mouth and most certainly not wanting to hear anymore of this "nightmare fuel" Xero had in store for them all. In all his years, he had heard his fair share of horror stories, but this one took the cake. He just thanked the Brothers, Salem hadn't made any Grimm like these Yoma before. He didn't think even he could ever handle something like that on a daily bases.

It was just too horrible.

Everyone, use even people like Adam, Cinder and even Raven looked ready to be sick and or very pale in horror.

Nice to know he wasn't alone in that regard.

The fact his duffle bag containing his pocket dimension that could store an infinite number of things certainly helped too.

"WHAT?!"

Everyone shouted, momentarily forgetting the horror inducing information they just heard, save for those that didn't know, which we should all known who they are by now, only looked amused.

"That. Is. AWESOME!"

Ruby yelled, zipping back and fourth the room, before she zipped right up to Xero, mouth open-

"Yes, i can store pretty much anything be it living or otherwise and no, i won't be making more. It is for Magus use and Magus use alone, nothing you can say or do will change my mind on the matter."

"Aww."

Ruby kicked some dust up, before sitting down with a massive pout on her face.

"You can't be serious! Do you have any idea how many lives that can be saved with something like that?!"

Glynda yelled, unable to believe how selfish this teen was being. What huntsman can do with a item that can store an infinite number of things...the possabilities were endless!

"Do YOU have any idea how hard it is to MAKE a pocket dimension?"

Helena asked, eyebrow raised,"Do you have the slightest idea of how hard it is to create a space, separate from reality that won't collapse in on itself at the slightest bit of damage to it or just collapsing, simply because you messed something, one tiny FRACTOR of the creation gone wrong, it could implode even! Not to mention the sheer amount of power it would require to create, let alone maintaining one? Do you? It's not something you can just snap you're fingers and make, ya know? It's just like my husband said, it's for Magus use and Magus alone."

That seemed to shut up everyone, all attempts at an argument dying as they heard a very real and plausible explanation as to why one CANNOT just create a pocket dimension.

It sounded a lot harder then they originally believed to be.

"Hey, you're here."

"Ack!"

Sam jumped up, as the male voice spoke loudly enough to knock Xero out of his thoughts, making him look to see a new face, one framed by thick glasses. He was tall, about the same height as Xero himself but an inch shorter then him. He has blue eyes and dirty blond hair worn in a faux-hawk style. He wore a layered light blue jacket over a green commando-style sweater, blue collared shirt, and a white undershirt with the text "Coach" and "Loop" on it.

This man was-

"Damnit Chris, you scared me half to death."

Christopher "Chris" Hartley.

"Best friend to Josh, the police report said he and Josh were pasted out due to drinking the night Hannah and Beth vanished. Not much they could do to help but my money's on betting that both of them feel guilty for not being awake when the twins vanished. No matter what they think, their was very little that could have have been done that night. Even if the report said that it was some kind of prank that set the twins off that night, i need more information to know for certain."

"And hi to you too, i don't believe we've met."

Chris turned his attention towards Xero, as he smiled under his scarf and held his hand out,"Che-low Chris, i'm Xero just Xero. I'm, well shall we say an agent of an of organization known as the Chaldea Security System. I'm here to investigate and hopefully find out what happened to Beth and Hannah. Friends of you're i assume?"

"Oh, yeah, i'm cough i'm Christopher Hartley but my friends call me Chris."

The tall boy shook his head with a smile, even as it took a nervous turn with worry and hope?

"So, you're basically here to find Hannah and Beth, yeah? Man, Josh is going to be happy about that, someone is actually going to find his sisters, after all this time."

"At the very least, i'll try to find out what happened to them. It's been a year and i don't think anyone would want to see a body decomposing after a year, left in the dark, wintery woods. With a high possibility of them being torn apart, butchered and even though it's very low, shitted on during that time."

"Well, you could have done that easier, instead of being such an uncaring, bastard about it."

Harriet snarked making Marrow elbow her, as Xero shook his head,"Not possible. It be the same thing as putting a bandage over a broken leg, it won't help and the wound can't be healed, you'll only allowing it to fester and worsen over time. Best to get it over and done with, rather then allow it to grow worse. Believe, i know what it's like to lose someone dear to you're heart forever and it's better to let that pain pass, rather then ignore it. Cause sooner or later, you'll have to face reality and it be better if you do so fast, so you can learn to move on with you're life, allowing the pain to dull and pass."

"He's right."

Spider Man spoke up, before anyone could try to say otherwise,"Losing someone dear to you hurts but being unable to accept the fact their gone, will only make the pain that much worse. The best you can do, is find closure and move on with you're life, knowing that person is gone but never forgetting them. They wouldn't want you to lose yourself over the pain of losing them."

"Well said, Spider Man."

Ozpin said with a smile, knowing damn well how much that pain hurts, the pain of loss. Morgan, the Berserker one anyway stayed silent on the matter, her mind wandering back to all the friends she lost during her earlier days she set out to rule the Le Fay kingdom. Raven scoffed but said nothing, as Cinder had to mentally slap away the image of Rhodes, as she turned her head to the screen.

"H-hey now, who's says their dead. I know it's been a year but-"

"If they weren't dead, they'd show up by now."

Xero spoke harshly, looking directly into Chris's eyes, as Sam looked away, a registered look on her face.

"I don't mean to be a bastard but you best learn to face the facts: Hannah and Beth, all alone with zero survival skills and little to no items to help them, on a wintery mountain that has deadly beasts on it twenty four seven and no help? Sorry but i see little to zero chance for survival in my book."

Xero's eyes softened as he placed a hand on Chris shoulder,"I might not be able to bring them back from the dead but at the very least, i can give their family and friends some closure, by finding out what happened to them. And if need be, i can avenge them by killing the monster that killed them in turn."

If not by the animals, the highest probability of Hannah and Beth being killed by the Wendigo was very high.

"Oh who the ever living fuck am i kidding, they'd probably got ripped to pieces by those things. No way would the Wendigo pass up such tantalizing and easy prey. Honestly it probably be better off, getting themselves killed by falling off a cliff side or something, hell the animals like wolves and bears would be more merciful then the Wendigo."

"Must you really curse so much master?"

Xero's Raikou said with a disapproving frown, as said master nodded,"Well yeah, i do believe i've more then earned the right to cruse as much as i want. You, what is it Ruby-oh you're kidding me?"

Before Xero's face was a large, see through glass jar with the words "SWEAR JAR" written on it. Amethyst eyes clashed with sliver, as both sides refused to back down.

"Do it."

Ruby growled out in a squeaky voice, shaking the jar for good effort, making Xero snort before he reached into his pants pocket and plucked out a large amount of dollar bills, clipped together, dropping into the jar with a hefty "Smack".

"Here short-shit, that should be more then enough for the rest of the viewing."

"I'm not short"

Ruby growled, before counting her newly acquired money with knee eyes. However, as she counted her eyes kept getting bigger and bigger, till they nearly popped out of her eyes as she all but screamed in pure shock,"HOLY CATS, THERE'S OVER 5'000 BUCKS HERE!"

"WHAT?!"

Everyone looked at Xero, as he shrugged, as Tamamo pitched in,"My husband, along with my father in law can be very generous with their money. Though i do believe it's because my husband cures quite a lot, that he's just given you a jump on how much that silly swear jar will cost him."

The foxy Caster giggled at that last bit, making the master nod.

"It's true, my Oni-chan does tend to curse quite a lot and for good reason too. What many would considered suicide missions, is nothing more then just a normal missions for us during our days within Chaldea. Money is something we never really cared for and even with daddy's money, Oni-chan own family on his mother's side is pretty damn rich too, so we really have no need for money. Even then, we earned plenty of money after saving the world, twice over, so don't worry about Oni-chan over paying you, we've got plenty of money. The reason we never spent much of it, is simply because it raise a few eyebrows, where two teenagers are rich with no real reasons other then the fact we have so much money. In other words, it would become real suspicious and it can easily be believed we stole the money, so we don't spend so much, cause it's not worth the hassle we'd get fro having so much."

Ruby nodded dumbly, grinning madly as she counted all the money she just made.

Who needed Weiss's money, when she just made a thousands just for cursing alone! She started giggling, as Xero had a feeling it wouldn't just be Ibaraki, Isthar, all the Artoria's, Cleopatra and Musashi being a danger to his wallet. He had money sure, but that doesn't mean he wanted to be bleed dry of it!

"But still, Xero's an odd name."

The teen felt his eyebrow twitch at that, as he looked at Chris,"Is it? Then what about you're name, Mr. Christopher, THAT sounds like a name that belongs to a high end class jackass, massive stick up the ass, know it all Oxford professor that acts like a dick. Like this."

As he said this, Xero started to pull up his hood a little and started strutting around, raising his legs higher then needed, even putting an an accent making Sam giggle and Chris to laugh. He'd seen Nero do it all the time, along with Gil, so it shouldn't be that hard to pull off.

"Ok, ok you've got a point. Come on, the cable car should be here, oh and Josh asked us to lock the cable car station. Apparently the rentals units found a homeless guys sleeping in their one time."

"Damn, really?"

Sam asked, as the trio made their way into the station. While Sam and Chris waited for the cable car to fully descended, Xero's eye caught the sight of a monitor, flicking on the TV setting. Silently, he walked towards it and stared at it intently, as Sam and Chris's idle chit-chatter faded away into the back ground.

"..."

Xero frowned, never taking his eyes off the screen.

"So, am i missing something or..."

Nora spoke, not at all understanding what was going on or why Xero wasn't moving away from the screen.

"What? Haven't you ever watched a horror or a movie in general? The second you look away, you're going to miss something, something that will be important later on in the future."

Sam spoke with a small smirk on his face, as Rhodey nodded,"True, true. It's simple logic."

Movie logic but logic never the less.

"Hey Xero, the Car's here, let's go."

Staring at the TV for a few more seconds, he huffed and took his eyes off the screen, walking towards the cable car, knowing just he KNEW he'd just missed something and more then likely missed something that'll come back to bite him in the ass later.

"Oh, you did senpai, the second you looked away, you missed it."

"Goddess damnit!"

Walking into the cable car, Xero took a seat, as the duo sat opposite of him. Knowing it take more then a few minutes for the car to reach their summit and not wanting to pry too much into what happened, least he rock the boat too much, Xero mentally turned on his focus, to select his playlist.

"Hmmmm, so what do we have today?"

Idly scrolling through his long list, he smiled at one particle song, one that he found a bit ironic and even Mordred found it a bit ironic as well. At least in a dark humor way. The song was called:

Mordred's Lullaby by Heather Dale

"Pardon me, i do not wish to offend you but correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't Mordred the name of the one called the Knight of Betrayal. The same knight, that brought ruin to his kingdom and betrayed his father, ultimately killing both of them at the end of his rebellion."

"After being spurred on by the true master mind of the fall, his mother and king Arthur's half sister, Morgan, yes. It's the same Mordred that inspired the song and is the one sitting in this room right now, say hi Moe."

"Hey."

Mordred offered a lazy wave, making Oobleck's eyes shot up to his hairline,"I see, forgive me for saying but in history records, it's says king Arthur has a son and you are clearly a woman."

"Yeah, well history also got wrong that my father is also a woman, along with several other different versions of her, from various other timelines, so history can go fuck itself."

"I still don't understand how history got that wrong."

Pepper said, still having a hard time understanding the whole thing. This caused Saber Artoria to look at her queen's 'mother',"I was born into a time where it was unthinkable for a woman to have power, let alone to become a leader. So i drew Caliburn from the stone, so in a sense, Caliburn was something for the sake of rearing my position of King Arthur as a king, becoming a member of royalty."

"Hang, on wasn't the sword in the stone was Excalibur, ya know the legendary sword everyone wants." Spider Man said, still fuzzy on the details himself. At least, on what really, truly happened.

"Not quite, i was bequeathed Excalibur from the Lady Of The Lake, in order to better protect my kingdom. In my hubris, i failed to see the destruction that would bring to us all. It's only after death and five Holy Grail Wars did i see where i went wrong. Even when a wise king once told me, where i went wrong, i didn't listen or rather, i refused to listen. I thought i could save everyone, protect everything on my own i went so far as to cast my humanity, my emotions aside to become the prefect king. I did but in doing so, i became the worst human being. As a result my people grew distrustful of me and why should they have trusted me? I became something beyond human, never truly understanding them and as a result, they feared me, because i no longer knew what it meant to be a human being. While the distrust grew more and more, it allowed my son too fan the flames of war, which ultimately led to the destruction of my kingdom because of my own selfish actions. Despite this, i was able to make sure my queen did not make the same mistakes i made, so there was some good in it."

Iskandar smiled a little at that, as did Archer Gligamesh. It seemed their little banquet had done the naive Saber some good.

"I fail to see why that would cause you're kingdom to fall. Being able to make choices that effect everyone, without emotional interference sounds like it's the best thing to ever happen. Are you sure you didn't mess up somewhere down the line?"

Despite being phrased as a question, everyone knew the member of the Vale council, Andrew Coppersmith had just insulted Artoria. Something that James agreed with, as not having any greedy bastards or emotional charged people in charge would be the best bet to safe guard humanity. Brothers know, he'd love to have someone like Artoria in her prime on the Atlas council.

Ignoring the glares the knights were sending him, Coppersmith waited for Artoria's response, one that shocked him.

"Even if i told you why, that would defeat the whole purpose of it. Then again, only fools believe in things like that and i was once so foolish enough to believe it, i've had the chance to prevent my queen from making the same mistakes, like i said before. Not that someone like you would understand that."

Many quitely laughed at how easily Artoria fired right back at the old man, making him growl but one look from Ozpin forced him to hold his tongue, as music from the Xero on screen, prevented everyone from delving deeper into the conversation of what is right and what was wrong in terms of leadership.

Through it all, Jalter merely laughed to herself, eagerly awaiting to see those idiot council members, those so called huntsman and everyone else hit themselves once they realized her beloved could not be controlled and watch the fools shot themselves in the foot, in their sorry attempts to attempt to control him.

It be a bloodbath and she would eagerly watch the carnage.

Or create the carnage.

Either one worked perfectly for her.

I can use this."

If what the doctor said was true, Cinder wounder if she could somehow sow distrust among the ranks, if this Mordred really did have a title like Knight of Betrayal. It surely woulnd't be that hard, would it?

"Hush, child, the darkness will rise from the deep
And carry you down into sleep
Child, the darkness will rise from the deep
And carry you down into sleep

Guileless Son, I'll shape your belief
And you'll always know that your father's a thief
And you won't understand the cause of your grief
But you'll always follow the voices beneath

Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty
Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty only to me

Guileless Son, your spirit will hate her
The flower who married my brother the traitor
And you will expose his puppet behaviour
For you are the proof of how he betrayed her loyalty

Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty
Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty only to me

Hush, child, the darkness will rise from the deep
And carry you down into sleep
Child, the darkness will rise from the deep
And carry you down into sleep

Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty
Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty only to me

Guileless Son, each day you grow older
Each moment I'm watching my vengeance unfold
For the child of my body, the flesh of my soul
Will die in returning the birthright he stole

Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty
Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty only to me

Hush, child, the darkness will rise from the deep
And carry you down into sleep
Child, the darkness will rise from the deep
And carry you down into sleep

Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty
Loyalty Loyalty Loyalty only to me"

"Woah, that was kinda dark."

Yang shuffled, feeling the hairs on the back of her neck stand up and felt her blood run cold at the lyrics of the song.

"Maybe but you have to admit, it does have a nice ring to it."

The Russian ambassador spoke with a dark grin, seeing the wisdom of those words.

"Still doesn't change the fact that song does hit the nail on the head, when it comes to Mordred."

Meltryllis spoke, crossing her arms over her small bosom. This caused the hot headed knight to flip the leggy Servant off, making her growl, looking ready to throw down, till one glare from Martha stopped them. A saint she might be, but no one wanted to fight Iron Fist Martha.

As the song ended, Xero realized they were at the top and Chris was trying to open the door, which opened with a click and the trio stepped out. as it opened, Chris threw his arms open,"Oh. My. God. I thought we we're going to die in there. Ten more minutes and i would have chewed my own legs off."

"is that supposed to be a joke?"

Oh he knew it was, but that didn't stop him from feeling a surge of annoyance. Really, did those idiots not realize what they we're going up against? What kind of monsters they would be fighting if-oh who the hell was he kidding? Of course their were Wendigo up here.

"Kind of arrogant of you to be so sure of yourself, ya know kid. That's the kid of thing that gets people killed and how could you have known, you were right?"

Senator Kelly said, not at all hiding the mockery in his voice, that caused Tony to glare warningly at the senator.

"Because..."

Xero began, motioning towards the screen.

He knew he was right, simply because he was here now. His luck, was the devil's luck, a double edge sword. He was prepared for them and they would come, in force no doubt.

"...that's just "No, i my luck."

He finished, making the senator frown and go back to being quiet.

"Ah, that's gross."

"Well what can i say, all i've got is pure muscle here. See?"

The teen lifted his leg, to emphasize his point, making Sam, Xero and the girl who opened the door, to roll their eyes at him. It was then blonde girl looked at Xero and Xero got a good look at the blonde before him. Gray eyes with beige blonde hair styled in two Dutch braids tied with magenta hair ties and a white complexion, not unlike his own. She wore a tone blue casual parka jacket as the base, and under it, wears a purple top over a plain ivory-white undershirt.

"So, who's this? Boyfriend of you're Sam? Maybe Chris?"

She asked with a smirk, as the two opened their mouths to refute, Xero beat them to the punch,"Oh no, trust me i can do WAY better then these two. Trust me, i have very high, ridiculous standards these two just can't match up too and i know i'm pretty hot too. I'd say sorry but to then i'd be a lair, so i'm not sorry. Too bad for you."

"Oh, burn."

Tony snickered, as did a good half of the audience.

...elp"

Xero frowned, did he just hear something?

"You did, i heard it too, even if it was barely a whisper."

Clint frowned, as did Logan and Laura, they weren't sure but it sounded like "help".

"I heard it too."

Sasha said, with a frown on her face, trying to hear what the noise was.

Straining his ears, Xero listened closely, as the frozen winds howled throughout the mountain side. Soon, he heard more muffled, whispered voices, each one carrying a deep, seated pain, hate, fear or regret. However there was one emotion, one far darker then all the others and it filled him with dread. That emotion was:

HUNGER.

A dark, twisted, desperate hunger that threaten to consume everything and everyone. It was so great, that Xero felt a sharp pain rip through his stomach. He gritted his teeth, feeling like he was freezing right down to his bones and he knew, it wasn't because of the wind either. It got so bad, he breathed out a an icey breath, one arm rubbing his other arm, as that arm was clutching his stomach, as the hunger pains grew worse by the second.

"That doesn't look good."

Erwin frowned, leaning forward, wondering just what his young friend was experiencing. Emerald herself actually looking much more interested now, equally wondering what was going on, as she knew that look all to well. After all, she used to wear that look all the time, back when she was younger. Back before Cinder found her.

"It's not."

Xero in the theater grunted, feeling the same pains as his screen version self. Guess BB wasn't kidding about feeling the same pain the other him was feeling.

He shivered again, rubbing his arms, as he felt his throat go dry before he came to a realization:

Something bad, no TERRIBLE happened on this mountain. Ignoring the three, Xero found himself staring at the beautiful scenery of the snowy mountains from the top of the cable car station and many would have found it beyond prefect.

"It is."

Vlad whispered, in all his years, he'd only seen very few scenes like this, so beautiful and prefect. Truly, mother nature spent a little more time on the mountains.

Xero on the other hand, couldn't help but find the scene to be very ominous, like a dark omen. Something bad was going to happen, he could feel it in his bones and little did Xero know, he was right.

The nightmare, was about to began anew.

The screen faded to black, as it gave one last words for the people watching: End Of Chapter

"..."

Nobody said anything, unable to shake the dark feeling that had washed over them all. Just like Xero, they all began to feel something bad was going to happen. So, who broke the tension, you ask? Who was brave(Or stupid) enough to break the shaking and cold feelings of dread that had washed over them all?

"So...what's this about cultist, kiddo?"

Shit.

Done and really, take a while guess, as to who said that.

So, lets get to some of the points i have to make, Xero is getting support to reveal the magic world, despite it being hidden for millions of years, so why?

Because everyone knows Xero is right.

The world is changing, sooner or later, someone is going to slip up and the world of the of Magus is going to come out. So, rather then let someone else tell their story, letting them fuck everything up for the Magus, why not have a Magus that has already saved the world three, technically four times over and has already won the approval of the common folk.

Plus Xero is already a living legend among the Magus community, so who better to be their poster boy then him?

Here is a unique opportunity for them and no one can deny that Xero is their nuclear deterrence, should the people of Earth and now Remnant, decide to turn on them. So here is their best chance to ensure their future.

Next, is the fact Xero has Yoki. Due note, he is a descendant of Miria from "Claymore", so it's natural he has SOME Yoma power but he can only access 10 % of the power, even if he can use is bit differently then most claymores. Now HOW he can use it, is something that will be explained later down the line and i won't reveal anymore then that. You'll just have to read and see what happens.

Just knows it's one of the consequences for constantly rayshifting into the past and future.

Now, onto Jaune and Blake, do note they are all still V 1 people. Jaune is still in his stupid macho phase and Blake is still a stikkish cat.

For Jaune, he's jealous of Xero, cause he is everything Jaune wants to be:

Powerful, handsome/beautiful, good with the ladies, intelligent, confident and already a living legend. Plus, he's already married and has a harem of drop dead gorgeous woman and even some men.

He and everyone else are under the impression Xero is some spoiled brat, who was merely born into the right family. Nobody knows what Xero has done, what he has been through or what he has suffered to gain the level of power he has now. So for the moment, everything that Xero is, is a slap in the face to the Arc, even more so due to the fact Xero and Jaune are just about the same age. He'll get better but for now, Jaune will be his Volume 1 self, a little shit that thinks he has to do everything on his own, in some macho display of manliness.

In other words, a typical teenage boy with something to prove.

As for Blake, well that's pretty simple.

Xero reminds her of Adam a little too much and is actually, a much worser version of Adam. That's all it i and ot be fair, Xero is a million times worse then Adam. So, as the story goes on, Blake may get better, she may not, well just have to wait and see. But only when she's forced to face the truth and everyone will learn.

So that's all i have to say about it, happy new years everyone!

Devil out!

Oh and one more thing, ive been thinking of another spin off story for these stories of this one and "The Stark Of Legend", it will be called:

The Magus Among Huntress

Basically it's a "What if" type of story, like if Remnant and Erath did indeed come to blows. It's also one of those stories, where only women can unlock aura, so men would be at the bottom of the poll in Remnant, as culture differences has been the soruce of many wars over the years. So why should this be any different.

That's all i have for now, so enjoy you're new years day.
