Finally coming to a crunching halt at the bottom of the ravine, blinking his eyes open, Dusk lay in the broken glass on the side of the SUV. He could see the sky through the broken window, when he lifted his hand to the wetness on his forehead a blinding pain wracked his body causing him to groan. Forcing himself into a sitting position, Dusk assessed his injuries, the intense burning pain in his leg drew his attention first. Tenderly moving the rip in his jeans out of the way Dusk found a large gaping gash that would need stitches. Gritting his teeth together he pushed his finger into the gash checking to see if it cut into any vessels, thankfully it missed anything major. Sweat rolling down his forehead made him hiss when it entered the cut on his forehead. Fighting the blackness edging his vision he slips his shirt off to bind his leg until he can do something with it.

Climbing out of the destroyed SUV Dusk sense of smell could pick up the metallic sent of blood, his concern for the human ratcheted up another level. "Jamie, we must go before they try to confirm our deaths." When Jamie didn't respond or move Dusk reached down into the SUV to move the boy's dangling arm. Dusk stared in horror at a large chunk of glass sticking out of Jamie's throat. Stuck in a trans of despair of losing his friend Dusk didn't hear the first bit of debris falling from above. Growling a curse Dusk released Jamie's limp arm to slip into the woods surrounding the ravine. Hating having to leave Jamie's body but knowing there wasn't much he could do. The NSO won't expect anything to be wrong for at least a day, maybe two, so for now he'll be on his own. Knowing he needed to get as much distance as possible between him and the haters Dusk stumbled through the thick woods.

Dusk had to stop several times to tighten his makeshift bandage, his jeans were soaked in his blood, and he felt weak from the loss of blood. It was nearly dark when he stumbled onto a cabin, he stayed hidden for several minutes. Once he was certain the darken cabin was empty, he attempted to get a closer look. All the blood loss was taking an affect he couldn't get his feet to move the way he wanted them too. Stumbling onto the porch he tried to catch himself but tripped over a rocking chair.

Hitting the porch like a sack of rocks Dusk groan as the world spun. A soft female voice spoke out of nowhere. "Someone there?"

Rolling slowly to the side he used the cabin to sit up, in just enough time to see a small brunette with freckles across her nose exit the dark cabin, a dog against her leg. They stood watching Dusk, it took him two tries before he could actually speak. "D-Do not worry small female, I-I mean you no harm." She just stared at Dusk, making him prepare for her scream, sometimes human females react that way. "Since you mean me no harm," There was a hint of laughter in her words. "What are you doing on my porch fumbling around, there isn't anything to steal here." Mustering up fake strength Dusk used the side of the cabin wall to stand up towering over the petite female. The blackness he's been fighting getting wider around his vision.

Before getting to say anymore Dusk lost the battle hitting the porch again leaving the unknown female baffled. "Are you okay?" When he didn't answer the girl sigh. "He must have passed out, better get him inside huh boy." As she got a good grip under Dusk's arm, she grunted pulling his dead weight into the cabin. Once inside she worked hard getting him to the couch, letting out a sigh she perched on the coffee table beside an unconscious Dusk. "He's defiantly a solid one huh boy." Being curious she gently trailed her fingers across Dusk's face smiling at the image, she pictured high cheek bones, solid jaw and an unusually flat nose. At the dog's whine beside her she stops touching him, instantly missing the feel of his velvet skin. "What boy, what is it?" Gripping her fingers gently in his teeth the dog pulled her hand toward Dusk's leg. She began trailing her hand down his leg, she felt wetness on his thigh, smelling her fingers she frowns at the metallic smell. Probing through the rip of his jeans she felt the jagged wound. Without a second thought she quickly got her first aid and set to work cleaning the wound and stitching it up. After cleaning up she clean the floor assuming they'd left a blood trail everywhere when she'd dragged him in. Once done she went on to bed exhausted and curious who the fellow was.
