Chapter 5:

Confrontation

After escaping from the Cragadiles, Dusk and the Outsider Filly made it safely back to Equestria. Dusk was still buzzing from all the excitement and terror with the Cragadiles. That was the most amazing, bizarre, and dangerous thing he has ever encountered before. He was excited though because Cragadiles were more dangerous than Diamond Dogs, and he had managed to escape them

"Whoooa, did you see the size of those teeth?!" Dusk asked the Outsider in an excited tone.

"Yeah, they were like 'rawr, rawr, rawr, rawr!'" The Outsider replied, impersonating a Cragadile while rolling onto her back, giggling.

"He could've totally eaten me up there! But you jumped onto his head!" Dusk continued, surprised by how the filly managed to save his life from the jaws of the Cragadile.

While the two foals were talking, they were unaware that they were being watched by a tall black Alicorn Stallion with green eyes, black and silver mane and tail, and his Cutie Mark was of an arrow shot through a rock. The stallion was stalking them with an unhappy look on his face.

"You know we made such a good team! And you…You were very brave," The Outsider filly said to Dusk with a smile.

"Yeah, you're pretty brave too. My name's Dusk. What's your name?" Dusk asked the filly, wanting to know what her name is.

"I'm Ocellus." The Filly giggled, introducing herself to Dusk. It actually sounded a little flirtatious, which made Dusk a little nervous.

The Stallion growled lightly for he is not liking what he's seeing happening in front of him.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Ocellus. Hey, you want to play a game?" Dusk asked, wondering if Ocellus wants to play with him.

"A Game? What's that?" Ocellus asked, being a little confused. No one really 'played' in the Outlands. And there weren't many foals Ocellus age either.

"You know like tag, hide and seek, have you ever played those games?" Dusk explained to her about games.

Ocellus just raised her brow in confusion.

"Wait, you've never played any of those before?" Dusk asked, being quite surprised that Ocellus never played some games before.

Then it came to Dusk as he knows something that Ocellus might play. So he crouched down and started growling playfully as his horn glowed playfully too. Ocellus was a little confused at first, but catching on to what he is doing, she decided to play along with him.

But just before she could, two tall lavender legs appeared out of nowhere and Ocellus looked up to see Twilight whinnying at her with ferocity. At the same time, the black Alicorn Stallion arrived and whinnies with the same ferocity at Twilight.

The two adult Alicorns stood protectively over their foals as they angrily glared at each other with hatred in their eyes.

"Stone Heart," Twilight hissed out with more hate in her voice at the Stallion.

"Twilight Sparkle," Stone Heart said with an evil smile.

Stone Heart was about to pounce on Twilight but unfortunately for him, Flash, two Alicorn Guards, and the Mane 5 came forth and stood by Twilight's side with angry glares.

"Flash Sentry," Stone Heart said, turning to Flash.

"Stone Heart," Flash replied back, not letting his guard down.

"Applejack," Applejack said with a glare.

"Rarity," Rarity said with a scoff.

"Fluttershy," Fluttershy said nervously, hiding behind her friends.

"Rainbow Dash," Rainbow Dash said next with a snort.

"And Pinkie Pie! Great! Now that we all know one another…GET OUT OF OUR KINGDOM!" Pinkie shouted.

"Your Kingdom?!" Stone Heart asked in confused anger as he turned to the Mane 5 and gave out a loud fierce whinny at them.

Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity huddled close to Rainbow and Applejack feeling greatly frightened by Stone Hearts' whinny.

"These lands belonged to Chrysalis!" Stone Heart said, turning his attention to Twilight.

"I banished you from our home. Now you and your young foal…Get Out!" Twilight said in a fierce tone at Stone Heart.

Ocellus lowered down feeling greatly scared and small while Dusk backed up feeling shocked that his mother is telling them to get out.

"Oh, haven't you met my daughter, Ocellus? She was hoof chosen by Chrysalis. Follow in her hoofprints and become queen!" Stone Heart explained to Twilight with an evil smirk.

Twilight looked at Ocellus and growled at her as her horn glowed intensely. Ocellus began to shiver in fear from Twilight's ferocity.

Rainbow scoffed in disagreement. "That's no Queen. She's just a fuzzy maraca!"

"Ocellus was Chrysalis's last born foal before you defeated her and exiled us to the Outlands, where we have little food and less water," Stone Heart explained to them while his voice turned a little sad but he still had viciousness in his tone.

"You know the penalty for returning to Equestria!" Twilight reminded him, not letting her guard down nor letting his words get into her head.

"But the foal does not! However, if you need your pound of magic, here." Stone Heart said, pushing Ocellus right to Twilight as the filly whimpered nervously.

Twilight looked down upon the whimpering filly and then at Stone Heart, who gave her an evil toothy grin. Some ponies might say that ignorance of laws is no excuse, but this was a foal. So after about a moment of self debate, she gave her answer.

"Take her and get out. We're finished here," Twilight spoke, walking away from them and approaching Dusk.

Twilight picked her son up by the back of his neck but before they could leave Stone Heart approached them.

"Oh, no, Twilight. We have barely begun," Stone Heart disagreed as he looked down at Dusk with an evil smile and chuckled. And anypony that knew Stone Heart had a right to be afraid when they heard it. For it meant he was not going to let anything or anyone get in the way of his plans once they were in motion.

Stone Heart turned to Ocellus and unlike Twilight, he didn't gently pick Ocellus up and began to walk away. While Ocellus was being carried away, she saw Dusk looking at her rather sadly.

The foals were confused and hurt. They had saved each other, and got along, they couldn't understand why they couldn't be friends.

"Bye, Ocellus…" Dusk said silently and sadly as he and his family headed home.

"Bye, Dusk…" Ocellus replied with the same sadness and silence as she and Stone Heart headed home as well.
