Same day as last chapter
When Jamie and Ryan got back from the hardware store the girls were almost done cleaning the house. Eddie was making lunch at the kitchen island.
"Oh that was quick, get everything you needed?" She asked giving Jamie that look.
"Yes we did." He nodded and told Ryan to take it all out to the garage. They could converse through eye movements, it was quite a skill they learned from working together all these years.
"How'd it go?" She asked looking around to make sure other ears weren't listening.
"Good. Shouldn't have any more problems." He said resting his hands on the countertop watching her cut up fruit.
"Good. Tell me more about it later? Scarlett after you start that load of laundry you can go help Alaina make the beds." Eddie called out looking beyond Jamie to her.
"Huh. What's Ava doing?" She whined carrying the big basket of dirty laundry.
"Don't worry about her, do you need help?" She asked her watching her struggle to get up the steps.
"Huh yes!" frustrated she couldn't carry it herself.
"Here honey, I'll carry it." Jamie went to assist her.
"Dad? Are you coming?" Ryan came in from the garage asking.
"He's helping your sister a second bub." Eddie told him.
"Okay." He was gonna head back out to the garage but Eddie kept talking to him.
"You hungry? I'm making chicken salad wraps and fruit." She told him.
"Yeah is it ready?" He asked and came into the kitchen, sitting at the bar.
"Yup! Girls! Lunch!" She yelled for the others to come eat.
"How comes Ryan doesn't have to do anything?" Alaina asked coming to the kitchen.
"He's helping dad." Eddie told her as Jamie and the twins came downstairs.
"He's not helping, he's watching." Alaina said.
"I'm learning." Ryan defended.
"How bout everyone just does what mom says and shuts up." Jamie suggested.
"So unfair." Alaina took her plate and went outside to eat. Eddie shook her head annoyed.
"What's that about?" Jamie asked.
"She didn't wanna put new sheets on everyone's beds." She told him.
"I helped her!" Scarlett said.
"Well she did the majority." Eddie corrected.
"Well that's better then vacuuming everywhere." Ava told them.
"Okay that's enough, just get your food and eat. You all keep complaining I'll add more stuff to do." Eddie said.
"I'm not complaining." Ryan said.
"Ryan." Jamie scolded, Eddie took a deep breathe to remain calm and sat down with a plate herself to eat lunch.
A couple minutes later Alaina came in from outside done her lunch.
"Can I get my phone back now?" She asked. Eddie takes everyone's phones during cleaning time so the kids don't get distracted and they have more of a drive to get it done.
"Are all the beds made?" Eddie asked.
"I have to put the pillows on you and dads yet and then yeah." She said.
"Go do that then you can have it." She said. Alaina put her dishes in the dishwasher and went upstairs to finish up.
After all the kids were done eating they left to go finish up what they had to. Jamie told Ryan to mow the grass until he was ready for him.
"I hate that Alaina thinks he's getting special treatment cause he's the boy." Eddie said cleaning up from lunch while Jamie helped.
"Well next time ask them if they wanna do any type of yard work instead." He suggested.
"They act like I've never made him do laundry, or help with dishes before."
"I think they know that Eddie. Today was different because you wanted me to talk to him." Jamie said.
"Yeah I know. Speaking of that, I think I need to give the little girls the talk. Ava cannot be using that word as freely as she did this morning." Eddie told him.
"Have fun with that." Jamie said with a laugh.
"Do you wanna help me?" She asked cringing.
"Ha! Your joking right?"
"Please Jamie…"
"You made me talk to Ryan by myself!" He reminded.
"I know, but that's different." She said making no sense.
"How's that different?" Jamie said chuckling at her, she laughed at herself too.
"I don't know, it is though." She said pointing a finger laughing.
"Tell you what babe. You tell them what it is, how it works…and then send them off to me for any questions." He offered.
"Really?" She said scrunching her one eye looking at him.
"Really."
"Deal." She put her hand out and they shook on it.
"Okay mom the beds are all made, and the bathrooms are clean." Alaina said coming down the steps.
"Awesome. Thank you. Your phones in the drawer." Eddie told her. She got it and went off to do whatever it was she wanted now.
"I'm gonna go talk to the girls."
"Right now!?" Jamie said surprised.
"Yeah, Ryan's busy, Alaina's doing her thing, perfect timing."
"Alright well I'll be in the garage. Tell me when the coast is clear." He said and headed out. Eddie laughed and went up to find the girls.
"Ava and Scarlett, I wanna talk to you guys." She said when she got upstairs. They went in there bedroom and sat on their beds with Eddie.
"Sooo let's talk about sex." She blurted out. Both of them laughing.
"I know ha ha, so funny. Seriously girls, Ava you cannot be using that word like you did this morning. Where did you even hear it?"
"School! Everyone in my class knows the word." Ava told her.
"But do they know exactly what it is?"
"No."
"Do either of you have any idea what it is?" They shook there heads.
"Okay any guesses?" She asked.
"It's when you like kiss and stuff." Scarlett said.
"Naked!" Ava added without any hesitation.
"Okay that's a start, did you know sex is how babies are made?" Eddie asked raising a brow, they both had no clue.
"Yup, it's a very serious thing. Something adults do. Not kids."
"How?" Scarlett asked.
"Well it's all very complicated but I'll try and make it more understanding for you two cause your very young yet."
"Tell us the truth!" Ava demanded.
"I will, but listen, you don't tell any of your friends anything. There parents will tell them when there ready or when they ask, it is not your job to educate other kids got it?"
"Okay." Ava answered.
"Yes." Scarlett said. Eddie took a deep breath and started explaining the basics, not sugar coating it but not giving too many details.
There faces were full of interest yet disgust. They haven't even gotten their periods yet, they knew what they were and to expect them any day but it made a little more sense when Eddie brought them up too. She went about it in a way explaining how the man plants a seed in the women and the baby grows.
"DADDY PUTS HIS WEINER IN YOU!?" Ava said interrupting Eddie's speech.
"Ewww!" Scarlett said and covered her mouth.
"Huh…yes. I know that sounds weird, and gross, and makes you feel awkward but that's cause your young, trust me… when your older…A LOT older you will understand." She assured trying to remain mature about this, maybe they weren't ready for this. Either way it was too late…she'd already spilled the beans.
"Doesn't it hurt?" Scarlett asked.
"…surprisingly no, but only because we love each other and are married. It doesn't hurt adults." She said, not wanting the idea to get into their heads that it feels good and they'd wanna try it!
"So daddy put two seeds in you to grow us? How did he get two seeds?" Scarlett wondered.
"Well actually, daddy doesn't choose how many babies to make. It's sorta random." She said to simplify it.
"Oh." Scarlett said thinking.
"Ava do you have any questions?"
"I don't think so." She answered taking it all in.
"Okay well I'll say one more thing, now that you know a secret about adults. You don't barge into our room anymore okay? Now that you know what adults privacy means. No more yelling through our door cause it's locked. You knock, and wait patiently for an answer."
"Wait are you and daddy going to make anymore babies?" Ava asked.
"Ha, no sweetie. You two were are last babies."
"Then why do you need privacy?" She asked.
"Because we're married and we need to spend alone time together still, you'll understand it one day." She said keeping it short and sweet. Eddie said if they had anymore questions they could ask her or Jamie!
They ended the conversation and left the room, Eddie felt good. She thought it went well and could've been worse for sure. She went to find Jamie in the garage, he was working on the car.
"How'd it go?" He asked.
"Ha…the funniest part was Ava, daddy puts his wiener in you!?" She quoted and laughed histarically, resting her head on Jamie's chest in laughter.
"Oh my god." He shook his head laughing with her.

Well now it seems like all the kids are better educated! It should all be easier from here on out right? Haha. Leave your thoughts.
