Chapter 3

"REEEEEEE!"

Cleric Beast: Playing

The battle on New Yharnam's Great Bridge commences, 2 beasts crashing into a feral wrestle which involved so many clawing and biting. These beasts were once human but each transformed in different circumstances. The insectoid Amazon Omega is suffering with an insatiable hunger that's driving him crazy which resorted him to cannibalism.

The other beast, which is a 3 eyed vulpine beast with so many tails and long limbs each sporting sickle-like claws, is the Overlord Darkborne himself. Naruto had no choice but to become this beast in hope for victory against the Amazon Omega. Overwhelmed by Juubi's Chakra, Naruto is not only physically a beast, but truckling now to keep his already corrupted humanity so not to go on a rampage once his battle against amazon Omega is over.

Naruto snarls at Amazon Omega while swinging his claw the green insectoid, but the transformed Gamer still fast enough to dodge the large heavy swings from the Overlord's beastly claws. The large third eye frowns as it leers at the creature, but if it's dodging then it may show that it can be harmed easily. He crouches low for his new tails to slither around like a hydra to go after Amazon Omega. The insectoid notided this and starts to evade the tails, but it could not comprehend the numbers and length of the tails.

He even tried to claw and rip the tails off, but touching it causing his claws to burn horrible, as if the tails are coated in a corrosive toxin. He screeched when he even attempted to grab one of the tails, causing him to retort in shock and fear while looking at the burned palms. Amazon Omega looks up and noticed the tips of the ten tails are coming towards him, like an incoming barrage of missile locked onto him.

One, Two, Three tails reached their mark, striking the shoulders each while the third, following the fourth and fifth tail striking the thorax. The impact compare that of cannonballs that it sent Amazon Omega flying to the locked up gate behind him. Unfortunately, the gate is well fortified that it's like hitting a solid wall to the Amazon Omega, though he did rattle the gates a bit but that's all.

Naruto smirks under his long vulpine snout with his glowing white eyes narrowed in smirk, he reared back his tails and slowly crouch towards the staggered insectoid, with cracks on his green carapace. The Overlord snarls darkly as he left his clawed paw above Amazon Omega and slams him hard on the ground, then he grabs the green creature and draws him close to his open maw. Amazon Omega can only screeches angrily at Naruto but that doesn't stop the Overlord from putting him between those pair of beastly fangs.

Naruto then starts clamp hard on Amazon Omega in his jaws, trying to break the carapace up to expose the human from within. But the pressure is enough to cause pain on Amazon Omega that he starts coughing out blood out from his mandibles. Naruto violently shakes his new chewtoy hard while continuing to add more pressure on the poor transformed victim.

The pressure is too much for Amazon Omega, pieces of his exoskeleton is falling off and his large red insect eyes has lost its red glow. Suddenly the green carapace fades away and the gamer is now in his normal form, unconscious and still in Naruto's giant maw. Naruto smirks at this and closes his mouth tight to dig his teeth in the unconscious Gamer's flesh, unfortunately the gamer is out-cold to even scream in pain, but involuntary jolts of his nerves is evidence enough to show that he felt that.

Satisfied at this, Naruto then tosses the Gamer off his teeth and starts to howl loud in victory.

"REEEEE!"

Amazon Omega suddenly gasped painfully as the pain caused by Naruto forced him to regain conscious, for it is impossible not to be unconscious with much pain on your body. He slowly looks around in confusing and that is when he saw…it, after regaining his sensed when pain overwhelms his hunger, he is now more afraid of the beast towers over him, howling in the midnight sky.

W-What's going on? The gamer couldn't be more confused and afraid, the hunger that tormented him clouded his thinking and alet desperation take over. But when the immence pain is distracting him from said hunger, is now thinking straight…for the moment. He tried to get up but the pain is too much and collapsed hard the moment he even tried to left himself up. Ah, why does my body hurt so much.

Naruto finished howling and looked down at the wounded Gamer. He smirks deeply though his maw and rases his clawed paw to finish him off. But suddenly Naruto stops, not because he's considering to spare the defeated gamer, oh no. he stopped because he feels strange, he starting to shrink in size, back to his normal size, his skin lightens, his hair shortens, eyes no longer glowing and his claws are now being becoming dull human fingers. He still have some features of his beastly form, fangs protrude from his upper lip, his hair still silver with vulpine ears on top, and a few tails swaying from below his back.

"…Whoa…that was…whoa…" said Naruto as he drops on his knees from exhaustion. Sooner than later his remaining features would fade in time, but they'll linger as long as Jūbi's chakra remains flowing in his system until it runs dry. Naruto smiles at this while leering at the badly wounded Gamer, he chuckled and sighed. "Hey, what's your name."

The wounded Gamer slowly turns to Naruto, he's till aching from the immense bruises and wounds that the Overlord gave him when he pummelled him with his tails, and gnashing him like a dog's chew-toy.

"H-Haruka…Haruka Mizukawa, but I go by Amazon Omega"

"Well then, Amazon Omega" said Naruto as he slowly gets up on his feet, not caring that he's naked from the fact that his transformation did destroy his gear…save for his coat and hat. "I would tip hat to you for surviving so far against me…if my hat's still on my head, of course."

Haruka smiled and chuckled but struggles due to the pain.

"Just get it over with, it's humiliating enough that I neglected my daily medicines, let alone being alive after a defeat." Said the Gamer named Haruka with a pained sigh. "Dr. Hojo's gonna scold at me, just like Reika-oka-sama."

Naruto sighed at this while picking up his saw cleaver, he slowly approaches Haruka while unhinge his weapon form a cleaver.

"Next time we meet, please reconsider of eating me in the future" said Naruto as he raise his Saw cleaver high so he can give Haruka the finishing blow. "with Juubi within me, I doubt I'll taste good."

Haruka chuckles at this.

"It's not like… I enjoy eating other gamers" said Haruka with his eyes closed, waiting for Naruto to end his life.

But before Naruto would deliver the final blow, he was stopped and forced to jump back when something was thrown at him. After jumping back, Naruto looked at what was thrown, and it appears to a short-handled war-hammed, coloured in electric pink and lime green, and has 2 "A" and "B" buttons on the side.

"What the…" said Naruto before he look up at the top of the gate, a figure concealed in shadows but with glowing orange frowned cartoony eyes. "You again"

"Sorry, but I have to ask you NOT to kill him" said the mysterious Gamer "He has an APPOINTMENT with Dr. Hojo"

The mention of Dr. Hojo caused Haruka to flinch and wince in pain.

"Who is this Dr. Hojo?" said Naruto

"Just New Yharnem's local doctor working at Compa's Clinic

Compa? Thought Naruto as he remembered that name, that gamer he met at the Fire Temple months back. Karin's foster mother.

The Mysterious Gamer then jumps off the gate and lands on the bridge, moonlight beams out to shine some light and reveal the features of the Gamer who interrupted the final blow on Haruka. He is wearing a black and white body suit with a chest-plate that has a HUD screen and coloured buttons on his right peck. His face is covered in a helmet with a black visor with glowing orange cartoon style eyes, a silver mouth piece, and electric pink coloured head crest that resemble a generic anime hair style.

He picks up his hammer and then hoists Haruka over his shoulders.

"I see you have so many questions that need answering, but as you can see, we're all busy." Said the Mysterious Gamer. "I need to get Haruka back to the clinic so Dr. Hojo can treat his wounds and give him is scheduled medicine he neglected. How disappointing to disobey the good doctor, Haruka.

"S-Sorry" said Haruka looking away in shame, trying not to cry.

The Mysterious Gamer sighed under his helmet but then starts to walk away.

"What am I gonna do with you, I swear to Yami" muttered the Mysterious Gamer while walking pass Naruto. "Well, Ja ne."

"Wait, at least answer this question first." Said Naruto "Who are you?"

The Mysterious Gamer stops and looks over his free shoulder at Naruto.

"Haven't I told you before, you must earn the right to know my name." said the Mysterious Gamer. "But since you're eager to know, you can just call me…Gamer M."

"Gamer M?" said Naruto

"That's my OLD Gamer name, but my current name will be known after we do battle" said the Mysterious Gamer M before he leaves the area so he can take Haruka to the clinic for this Dr. Hojo's treatment.

Naruto sighed at this while picking up his coat and hat, he puts them but his coat is open and left his pride out in the open, unfortunately the night can be chilly as the cold brushes his bare skin.

Looks like I need to find a way to make sure my clothes don't come to pieces when I transform…speaking of which, Jūbi.

"huh…Hai?" Jūbi wasn't paying attention before for she was distracted at the fact Naruto is naked after his transformation. Something the matter.

How do you reckon I did on that first time? Thought Naruto

Jūbi took a moment to reflect on Naruto's transformation caused by her immense flow of her chakra. She was worried that ancient history would repeat itself just like Kaguya, but when she witnessed the transformation, it did bring a cold chill running down her spine.

"Well…compare to what I witnessed eons ago, you did well, and no side effect shown in the aftermath." Said Jūbi Nothing yet, anyway

Jūbi is still concerned about Naruto using all of her chakra at once without adapting first, but with dealing against Amazon Omega she had no choice.

"I see you saw the smoke, Naruto."

This caught both Naruto and Juubi's attention as they look up at the top of the gate, a familiar suit of dark armour, he took off his helmet to reveal his scar across his nose and his spiky ponytail. The Head Remnant, Iruka Umino reveals himself as he pulls out a package and raises it for Naruto to see.

"Yami-sama told this might happen, so here, catch!"

Iruka tosses the package and Naruto caught it.

Naruto sighs in relief as he quickly equipped his gear and fully clothed in his Darkborne gear.

"Thanks, Iruka" said Naruto as he pats himself and stretch his arms in relief in his full gear. "So, how come you called me here? Wouldn't it be easier for us to talk back in the tower?"

Iruka sighed tirelessly while leaning on the railing.

"Normally that'd be the case, but unfortunately we're in a middle of a crisis here in Cathedral Ward.

"Cathedral Ward?" said Naruto tilting his head in confusion.

"Oh right, you just arrived here in new Yharnem," Iruka said sheepishly while rubbing the back of his neck. "I'd give you a tour myself but as I said before, trouble is brewing in the holy district of the town which we call Cathedral Ward.

Its where New Yharnem's dark Clerics of Yami reside, commemorating themselves to the Dark Goddess herself and swore an oath to spread her dark influence and seek potential Gamers to retribution. And right in the centre and towering from the rest of the buildings is the Cathedral of Yami, our main place of worship."

"So you called me here because the cathedral is in danger" said Naruto

"Correct," said Iruka immediately, showing some desperation on his face. "After the town was completed, we spread the news to the wandering Gamers to come and settle here. But what we didn't expect are acolytes of the Demon King to infiltrate the place, posing as Dark Clerics until its too late. We noticed something strange when the Hearts aren't getting their shares from their subjects, so we came here to investigate. That's when we noticed, they took over the cathedral and most of the areas of Cathedral Ward."

Iruka lowered his head in shame, for he couldn't believe he allowed the enemy to walk inside the town which was meant to be highly defended. But Akenomyosei is cunning and probably planned this from the beginning to get back at Naruto.

"Right now I cannot open this gate for you because Cathedral Ward is in lock-down right now," said Iruka now in low spirits. "For we need to keep the intruders in, and also activated the Hunt event in case any of those bastards escape, which you may notice the Slig security and large fighting in the streets."

"Hai, met a few friendly faces in this town, getting a REAL nostalgic feeling here"

Iruka sweat dropped as he didn't intent to trigger bad memories to the Overlord, he sighed in more shame.

"I apologise, my Lord" said Iruka

"So how am I gonna get in? maybe I can jump over."

"No good, the perimeter walls around Cathedral Ward has a magic defence barrier powered by the tallest spire of the cathedral. I alone is still here, guarding the crystal in the spire from those acolyte scum."

"So, how are you…

"Shadow Clone." Iruka simply answered.

"Oh"

"In order to get inside, you need to be given permission by Father Gascoigne, he's the local bishop in charge of the cathedral along side Sister Amelia." Said Iruka "He's quite near around the perimeter, by the cemetery across that bridge down there."

Iruka leans ahead to point down at a much smaller bridge many meters below, Naruto looks over the ledge and sighs at this.

"Just down there, right?" said Naruto

"Hai, take this map with you, I marked the route where you need to do so you wouldn't get lost," said Iruka as he tossed Naruto a scroll to him.

Central Yharnem Map: Obtained

"and that includes the patrol routes of the slig security if you ever bump into them." Said Iruka "And be careful, they are obliged to shoot anyone on sight, especially you since you're out during the events."

"Right, anything else"

"Hai…take the sewer route…some Gamer fool left a pig there and it grew thrice in size feasting on drowned corpses and giant rats." Said Iruka "Enzo left a quest about that in his guild and NOBODY bothered to kill the bloated swine."

"R-Right, I'll see you later Iruka" said Naruto as he turns away to heads for his new destination."

"Good luck" said Iruka before he poofs into smoke.

Description: Hey there, some moron has left a pig in the sewers and grew to the size of a hippo, it's clogging the drains and scaring off the staff or worse, eating them alive in the progress. So, I am offering a nice reward to anyone with gut to go down there, find this pig and kill it. Capisce?

Hmm, according to the map, the sewers is halfway from the cemetery, so I might take on that pig despite Iruka's warning thought Naruto

"I don't know, you might wanna save up your strength for the fight ahead" said Jūbi "Especially when my chakra will take a while to charge up."

But since everyone is afraid of going down the sewers, it's perfect for sneaking up without alerting everyone thought Naruto. And besides, it's only a pig.

Later: in the sewers.

"HOW IS THAT A FUCKING PIG! Exclaimed Naruto running for his life as he is being chased by the pig in the sewers. Now when I say pig, it is in fact the size of a rhinoceros, thrice as ugly and thrice as mean, blood drenching its snout and sharp tusks, and it eyes void of any mercy as it leers at the fleeting Overlord with hunger. Naruto tried to slay the creature while travelling into the sewer tunnels, but its bloated body is too soft for the Saw Cleaver for it to do any damage. It's like an armour made of thick blubbery fat, absorbing the impact of hard serrated steel.

The Pig roared while charging at full speed, its cloven hooves trotting and splashing at the slightly flooded floor. But fortunately reached the end of the tunnel and quickly climbed up the iron ladder so he can leave the sewers. The pig snorts and roars as it rear its ugly head out, scraping its tusks on the ladder and causing it to rattle. Naruto wasted no time climbing the steps of the ladder until he reached the top. The pig snorts again before retreating into the sewers, hunting for more rats for it to eat.

Back in Central Yharnem

Naruto pants in exhaustion, he could not believe how hazardous them sewers are, giant rats, flock of carrion crows, even that giant pig lurking in the tunnels, the worst of it all is the foul stench of methane producing from the drains, one spark would ignite the entire area so he couldn't use his fireball, but he doubt that would be enough for Naruto to take down that swine.

He heads for the bridge now, which according to the map will lead him to the cemetery on the edge of Cathedral Ward. Naruto sighs at this while crossing the bridge, that run to escape the pig in the sewers did take his breath and the fatigue is hurting his legs.

Once I get across and reach the cemetery, I'm gonna take a breather first before I push on to Cathedral Ward thought Naruto to himself. But as he's not in the middle of the bridge, an ambush suddenly occurred, both sides are blocked by a group of Dark Gamers, all with their weapons drawn and stained in blood. Their faces each have murderous intent shown on them, even is a few are masked you can tell by their eyes through the slots. Naruto looks around and frowned, he isn't surprised to be caught in an ambush, he remembered the times back in Konoha, especially on every October 10th.

"Can't take a break, can't I?" said Naruto as he swings his Saw Cleaver randomly as he both groups slowly approach him. "But I will not go down that easy, you hear me!"

This only earned him dark chuckles from the Dark Gamers as they are about to charge at Naruto and strike. But like he said, he will not go down that easy, dodging their attacks while pushed to the ledge of the bridge, he nearly leaned back and fell but balanced himself while pulling one Gamer off instead. Naruto took a quick glance at the ledge while one of the Gamers fall, below is nothing but pitch blackness and covered by a dark haze. Falling down there will be immediate defeat and cost him the event quest.

Damn it, outnumbered and outmatched thought Naruto, seeing that he is completely trapped as every Gamer's weapons are all pointed at him. Trapped and now at the enemies' mercy, it's either a painful defeat of a sudden plummet to the depths over the ledge as he can see no way out of this. Kuso, I knew I'd lose again eventually.

Suddenly something large and in flames is rolling across the bridge and heading towards him and the other Gamers. Naruto reacted and leans back and falls over the side before the rolling object could get to him. The burning item is a boulder, coated in oil so if can be on fire while pushed off. It crashes, crushes or knock everyone off the side. But as those who fall off and met their end, Naruto however does not as he quickle used his Chain Dart and grapples onto the railing and hands below. He sighs in relief at his quick thinking and starts climbing back up to the bridge.

While he climbs, he suddenly heard an explosion, the flaming boulder has crossed the bridge and rolled down into the sewer, the naked flames coating the boulder touched the methane gases and caused an explosion.

Side quest failed

Naruto sighed at this, who ever pushed that boulder has also killed that pig instead of him, thus revealing this message box in front of him.

"Damn it, I was about to kill that pig later when I'm done!" exclaimed Naruto while he kept on climbing until he reached the railings and got back on the bridge. "Whoever rolled that boulder, I'm gonna make him pay for stealing my Side Quest!"

Naruto is not back on the bridge, he looks over ahead and deadpanned with unbelief.

"You've got to be kidding me"

On the other side of the bridge, a certain troll is there. Bruz the Chopper, no longer in his suave Victorian style suit and back into his loincloth and bladed pauldrons. He pulls a smug while crossing his arms as he look down at Naruto.

"Hello there, nice to see you again." Said Bruz "That wasn't your pig by any chance?"

Naruto groaned at this as he ravels up his chain dart and puts it away.

"as a matter of fact, it was meant to be for later" said Naruto

"Well consider that payment for me suit" said Bruz as he picks up his mace and starts walking down the stairs to the bridge. "And there is something else you owe me also."

"And that is? Said Naruto

"A bloody rematch, you and me here right now!"

"Sorry, I don't have time for this" said Naruto as he was about to walk pass Bruz but the ain't having any of this as he slams his mace in front of him.

"I ain't asking, you know the terms of being challenged" said Bruz "Fight or forfeit, your choice."

Naruto frowned at this as he unhinged his Saw Cleaver open.

"Fine" said Naruto before he immediately swings for Bruz's face.

This surprised the troll that he stepped back but not without a scratch on his, his black blood seeps out from his scarred cheek, directly onto the old scars. Bruz smirks at the impressive accuracy where his weapon struck him. Naruto is now ready for another rematch on Bruz, he struck first so he'll let the troll have a go next.

Bruz then charges at Naruto and swings down at him, but Naruto dodged it so easily and slide beneath his legs while the serrated teeth of his saw cleaver is dangerously close to the troll's clothed privates. This made the troll sweat bullets as he feel the intention of his weapon and forced him to get a distance away from Naruto.

"On second thought…perhaps we can do this another time" Bruz said with nervousness on his face, though he may welcome death like any other troll born and bred on the dark nation of Mordor, but like every other men they are well protective to their own pride as males. And the threats of losing this male pride is not worth the battle. "Sorry for the bother, bye!"

After that, Bruz legged it with this tail still between his legs. Naruto chuckled as he couldn't believed that worked, even Jūbi laughed in amusement at this.

"How devious, Naruto-kun." Said Jūbi "Where you really going to do that?"

…maybe, if necessary, thought Naruto as he then crosses the bridge and heads to the other side of the gorge which will lead him to the cemetery.

Cemetery

After dealing with Bruz, who somehow survived the Susanoo attack, Naruto crossed the bridge and heads for the cemetery where he'll meet Father Gascoigne. Pushing the Iron Gates open which creaked on their hinges, Naruto walked through and entered the town's cemetery. Though shrouded in an eerie mist, Naruto does notice a numerous amount of graves in the area, he isn't sure if the graves are occupied with the dead or not since Gamers don't die in the normal sense and people usually do. The Censored Justice learnt that the hard way after many centuries of war against them. But certain Gamers that do die via their limited life counts on their HUD.

Sadly, that's another subject for another time for the Overlord. Now he has to get to the Father so he can enter Cathedral Ward.

"Hello?" Naruto called out with his Saw Cleaver in hand, he needs to be cautious at all times as the Hunt Event is still on. "Father, are you here?"

The Cemetery is quiet, too quiet and this isn't a good sign, if there's no reply from Father Gascoigne then something is wrong. Suddenly he heard something faint in the mist shrouding the cemetery. Naruto quietly follows the sound, the sound of metal hitting metal and stone, the sound of battle between the graves.

Further in the Cemetery, two figurines are indeed fighting in battle, the familiar silhouette of the Mysterious Gamer M is locked in battle against a middle aged man in an old grey coat and a worn out hat, his hair is messy and grey, same for his goatee on his chin. His eyes are covered in rags, which shows that he is blind and has to rely on his other senses to know his way around. The weapon used against Gamer M is an axe, not the one used for chopping up firewood but the kind used for executions or combat.

CLANG!

CLANG!

Gamer M is quick on his feet, dodging the blind man's axe. He leaps over his opponent and lands behind him, he then swings his hammer and strikes before the blind man could get the chance to either strike first or block the attack. The strike from Gamer M's hammer sent the blind man flying and crash into the tombstones.

"Sorry, Father," said Gamer M looking over at the rubble that was once the tombstones.

"But the Overlord and I have unfinished business."

The Blind man, Father Gascoigne, can only reply with a pained groan and falls unconscious beneath the rubble. Gamer M turns toward the Overlord and twirls his hammer with eagerness for battle.

"Sorry about that, he'll be fie after that" Gamer M said to Naruto.

Naruto frowns as he and Gamer M circles around the cemetery, both keeping a wide berth before starting their fight.

"Who are you to get in my way of defending my domain? Said Naruto, "Only fools of those against me get in my way so which is it?"

"I am here to see if you're capable of defending New Yharnem" said Gamer M as his hammer turns into a sword by pushing the "A" button on the side. "And to do that is by fighting me."

"I see, a fool then," said Naruto as he put away his Saw Cleaver and draws out the Uchiha Katana. "alright fool, prove my worth."

Boss Battle: Gamer M

Naruto and Gamer M both charge in for the fight, but Naruto suddenly stops midway and turns to the darker parts of the cemetery. This startled Gamer M as he saw the Overlord run away, but he gives chase anyway for there is no escape from a Boss Battle.

Naruto smirks under his mask as he rolls around and hides behind a tombstone, but Gamer M scoffs at this while heading for the exact tomestone Naruto his hiding behind on. He raises his sword and slice said tombstone to expose his foe, but Naruto is no longer behind the tombstone and no where to be seen. Gamer M chuckles at this as he knows that the Overlord is now hiding in the shadows via the Veil technique. He keeps his guard up and waits for Naruto to reveal himself, there is no escape from this area while the boss battle is active so he might as well show himself and fight his opponent.

Hiding in he shadows will not keep you safe, Darkborne!" exclaimed Gamer M as he looks around for Naruto. "And sneaking up on me will not help either, I have you locked on the moment we started."

"That a fact? But you should know," said Naruto as he and a dozen of Clones emerge from the shadow. "Do you really have me on your sights?"

Shit, thought Gamer M for is a Gamer outside the Shinobi Nations and isn't adapted with chakra sensitivity, so he is at his most disadvantage. He was expecting me, very clever, Darkborne.

Gamer M is surrounded by an army of clones and unsure which one is the real Overlord. But he isn't worries though for he had experience with being outnumbered and outmatched before, even on occasions with his former rivals before teaming up to fight their common foe.

Ever since Naruto arrived at the dark town, he was at everyone's mercy during the Hunt event, but now the tables have turned and need to remind everyone, especially Gamer M who he is.

"Alright, bring it!" said Gamer M clutching his hammer/sword with both hands while posing for battle.

Some of the Clones charge in for the attack with their swords drawn and in their hands, swinging them at the Gamer with no mercy and true intentions. Gamer M dodges and counters with his own attacks, one heavy hit on his weapon is all he needed to dispel the clones, but the number of clones is great so this may take time for him to defeat them all.

The Clones who are keeping their distance however are casting fireballs and gudodamas at Gamer M. The barrage of fire and black balls of chakra is making it uneasy for him as he is having trouble with the clones near him to begin with.
