Hello once more my ever lovely and ever loyal peeps!
Okay as you may already noticed i did a revising of the Bio chapter and took some things out, as since i'm having Wiz and Boomstick do the bio itself, i saw no real reason why to add all that extra stuff onto it. Aside from the Servants of course and i figured i leave something in like alignment and even added on some extra Servants with only one not being mentioned, as SHE will play a big role soon.
One that involes Amber but that's all i'm saying.
So please read, review and "What the fuc-BOOM"
Chapter 25: More Ripples, Cheating Fate, Eri Mazoku and Reaper Vs. Carnage
PING
The portal opened up suddenly and without warning, catching everyone, save for the Curator off guard and alert. Soon enough, coming crashing out of the blue/purple portal were three figures.
One was Qrow, his hair in disarray, as he clutched Harbinger in one hand and a small bundle in the other. The bundle was a very small, skinny girl with wavy white hair, pale skin, red eyes and had a very small horn coming out of her head. She wore a very poor excuse for an oversized shirt, as one can easily see the bandages covering her skinny arms and little legs.
The third was a tall woman with a curvy body. She has short, dark blue hair with numerous scattered pink streaks in it, which is tied up in a half bun, half ponytail with two shoulder-length full strands of hair framing her face. Her eyes are purple with a mauve shade with dark, blue-colored angled eyebrows. She wore a dark, sleeveless dress that hugged her body and a metallic utility belt, with black combat boots. She had a certain yellow sniper rifle slung over her shoulder and squarely over her heart on the dress she wore, was a familiar red howling wolf.
Xero's clan symbol and his personal sniper rifle, Grudge. The rifle, plus the symbol she seemly worn proudly told all just which camp she was from and supporting.
"Uncle Qrow, your alright?!" Ever the worrywart, Ruby rushed to her uncle, hugging him, being mindful not to hurt the girl he was carrying, which promoted the younger redhead to ask, "Uncle Qrow, who's she and the other lady?"
While Ruby and many of Earth's 616 and Remnant's people did not recognize the two new females but many from Earth 727 instantly recognize the older woman. Especially the current number 3 hero. How could Hawks not known the woman, who was his senior?
"Kaina-" The blonde man sputtered in shock, eyes wide at seeing the tall woman, "How, how are you here?"
"Surprised?" Kaina couldn't help but smile a little at seeing the punk's shock at her arrival, "Well, my new boss doesn't like those who betray others for doing exactly what they were supposed to do and gave me a choice: I can stay locked up in a doomed world that has false peace that is going to shatter at the tiniest touch or make a new life for myself, in a new world away from all the hypocrisy and foolishness." She holstered the rifle she was carrying as to prove her point, "Got to say, not only giving me my freedom back but allowing me to borrow one of his toys, along with a job offer i saw no reason to refuse. Oh, and Hawks, some friendly advice, don't trust the Hero Safety Commision members. Sooner or later, they'll betray you and throw you away to rot just like they did with me if you aren't careful."
The heroes and heroes in training all looked shocked at her admission but before they could even begin to understand what she said, the girl in Qrow's arms, holding, wait is that Xero's golden rosary?!
"Mr. Qrow, is Mr. Xero going to be alright?" The girl asked fearful. She was in an unknown place with A LOT of people, some that for reasons beyond her young mind's understanding, made her feel like she was dealing with Overhaul all over again and it scared her. The nice man that saved her, that made her feel warm for the first time in her short life wasn't here and the only person she knew she could trust was the one holding her with that pretty lady. But she wanted to see Mr. Xero again and wanted to know if he was alright.
Qrow tried to give her a reassuring smile, but it came out as a grimace, "I wouldn't worry about it Eri. The kid's tough, tougher than anyone i have ever met and I'm sure he'll be bac-" Suddenly the portal behind the three closed, making Qrow's jaw snap shut, "-ck." He finished his sentence, now very worried. Was that supposed to happen or did that mean something bad just happen? It wasn't just Qrow or Eri that was worried, as Tony started to yell at the Curator.
"What happened to my son?! Where is he?!"
"Mr. Stark, clam down." Ever the patient and understanding man, the older man? didn't even flinch at Tony's glare, "Your son is currently in Earth 727, battling the villain known as Overhaul, the young head of the Shie Hassaikai, who is using a new type of drug that enables him to use Blood Magic."
"And you just left him there alone?!" The elder Stark turned, snapping at Qrow and Kiana, causing Eri to duck her head into Qrow's chest, as the Branwen glared back.
"The kid told us to go!" Qrow snapped back, feeling a pit in his stomach grow, as his mind remembered his last words with the younger's man.
"Qrow, you and Kiana need to get Eri out of here. I can't fight at my best if I'm protecting you three, you three being here isn't helping, you're only hindering me. Our mission to is rescue and save Eri, now it's yours. I will deal with Overhaul."
"But-"
"No buts! Now GO!"
Qrow couldn't help but feel the flash of anger and shame fill his veins at his own uselessness, as Kiana took pity on her new partner, deciding to explain it to her new boss's father.
"Mr. Stark," She said slowly gaining the man's attention, "as much as I hate to say it, your son made the right choice. We wouldn't have been no help at all and it's as he said, our main propriety was to save this young girl from that man's clutches. I have only known him for barely a day but i think it's safe to say that he won't go down easy, least of all to some Yakuza punk."
Her words did little to ease his father, but Tony reluctantly sat down with a grumble. As Pepper tried to calm him down, Steve stepped forward to speak.
"Kiana, was it?" The woman nodded, "I think i speak for everyone here, but would you care to tell us just what is going on? Who is Overhaul and what drug allows him to use Blood Magic. I thought only Magus could use magic, at least in this world and from the way they've spoken, your world doesn't have magic either."
"That's one he-eck of a story." Qrow cut himself off from cursing as Eri clung to him and being to weave their tale of how they saved this adorable unicorn horned girl.
A Few Minutes Earlier
When Qrow woke up this morning, this is not what he had in mind on his to do list:
Going to a completely different world, one that looked like it came right out of one of Ruby's comic books, fighting a dying gang of Yakuza punks with superpowers all to rescue a little girl with the power to rewind time itself. Well, rewind what was either in front of her, in her general arena and if he wasn't careful, he could end up meeting non-existence if she freaked out.
Yeah, definitely not how Qrow saw his day going.
But when the kid, Xero, offered him a chance to live a normal life by giving him a magical ring that would not only suppress his bad luck by turning it into balance. But the younger man gave Qrow a way to control it, able to quite literally target those he wanted to HAVE bad luck, rather than just BE bad luck by default.
Having a chance to live his life without having to endure all the rotten luck in the world was a blessing. Being able to NOT endanger the ones he loves just by being around them was nothing short of paradise to him and Qrow was determined to repay the kid in any way he could for giving him such a gift. What did the kid want?
Help him rescue a little girl that was suffering the worst torture possible.
That was a no brainer, as Qrow agreed, not wanting to know the details but more than willing to help and here they are.
The long, white hallways reminded Qrow a little too much of Atlas and the stench of cleaner fluid, cleaner and bleach made the huntsman want to gag. Brothers it stank.
But Qrow put his disgust aside, having dealt with worse and if any of the things the kid told him were half true, then they needed to get this done. He and Xero, now in his Reaper outfit, which was nothing more than the black sleeveless, red buckle shirt with that skull mask and black, fingerless gloves. Obviously tactical gloves with black pants, a sliver chained belt with a sliver wolf heads belt buckle and combat boots.
But the older man knew better, as behind the belt buckle, hidden in plain sight was the Arc Reactor that powered his Necrotic Shield, hidden in plain sight with no one any the wiser. But to be honest, Qrow would never wear those kinds of gloves, he could certainly see Jimmy approving them.
But at the moment he and the kid were following one of his Servants, Mr. Hands. The same Servant Qrow first met shortly after arriving in New York and even now, Qrow couldn't tell if the Assassin was walking or gliding across the floor as his footsteps (That is if he was actually walking at all) never made a sound. Not even a small click.
Little wonder why the guy was an Assassin class Servant, he walked like one.
"Here it is my lord." Qrow was broken out of his thoughts, as the Assassin spoke in a very creepy voice, as Xero nodded.
"Thank you, Mr. Hands. Be sure the Casters have the Bounded Feild up, i don't want any of these bastards escaping, nor do i want any innocents caught up in the crossfire. I want you on lookout, it won't take long for Overhaul or one of his goons to come looking for Eri, once they realize they're under attack. We don't need to get attacked from behind. I don't doubt our Casters are strong enough to keep the barrier up, even if it comes under attack but why take the chance?"
"Understood."
Then, just like he was a shadow, the Assassin vanished before Qrow's eyes, like he was never there.
"That's one scary guy, must be hell trying to sneak up on him." The Branwen commented, as the Mazoku ignored him, as he quietly opened the door to …room. Yeah, personally Qrow would have loved to shove Harbinger up the asshole's-
"When we enter, let me do the talking and do NOTHING to scare her." Xero's demonic voice cut into Qrow's musing, "Overhaul's got her thinking that whenever someone tries to help her, dies, its her fault. This is going to require a delicate touch and seeing what i know of her, i believe i can convince her that we want to help her. That and no offense Qrow but i don't think you have any experience in dealing with traumatized children."
"I don't but I'm not the one wearing a skull mask, with my voice sounding like the God of Darkness." Qrow shot back, making Xero pause, as the little white fur ball known as Fou let out a 'Fou' that sounded suspiciously like a chuckle, as the Mazoku stayed silent for a second before gripping his mask and removing it.
"That a fair point i suppose." Then the little bastard smirked at Qrow, "At least i don't smell like a brewery on fire, mixed in with hot shit."
"Brat."
Xero just smirked, as he unlocked the room, earning a very small yep of surprise from within, as he slowly opened it. When it opened, it was dark and to be honest, looked nothing at all like a young girl's room should. Qrow had two nieces and knew what a girl's room should look like and this wasn't it. It looked like a mix between a medical room, with a very plain, very flat bed that looked like it needed to be thrown out, a thin moth bitten blakent and few toys.
But there, in the far corner of the room, huddling herself into a ball, fear clear in her eyes made Qrow blood boil.
The girl, Eri, was tiny. Not just Summer or Ruby tiny but like really tiny. The kind of tiny that told you that someone wasn't eating enough or something bad was happening to her, causing her body to shrink as a result, with clear bones viable. A sight that flared Qrow's protective instincts. That and thanks to his experienced eyes, Qrow could spot the various of bandages across the small girl's arms and legs with smudges of dirt on her face.
If Qrow needed any more evidence that Xero was telling the truth about someone abusing Eri, the proof was right in front of him, staring him right in the face. Someone was going to pay dearly for hurting this small girl, this Qrow swore.
But as the kid said, the girl would be quite scared, so the Branwen made no move sudden or threatening moves, as Xero slowly stepped in, causing the girl to shrink even further on herself, watching with terrified red eyes. Eyes so full of fear and pain that it made the Branwen's heart go out to her. Just what the hell did this Overhaul do to her, to make her so skittish?
If only he knew.
"It's alright Eri, I'm not here to hurt you." Stopping a good few feet away from her, dropping to one knee, so he was eye level with her, Xero spoke slowly, "My name is Xero, this lanky guy over here is Qrow, we're here to help you." The small girl flinched even harder, if that was possible as Xero's smile strained, "I know who you are Eri, i know what Overhaul is doing to you and I'm here to take you away from him."
"Y-you can't!" The girl's voice cracked with panic, fear and pain, eyes darting around looking for the man in question, "He-he'll kill you! Please, you have to leave, if he finds-"
RUMBLE
Suddenly the ground above them shook violently, shaking the entire foundation, nearly knocking Qrow off his feet and shaking Eri's already badly shaking form.
"Well, seems Emyia and Atalanta have already begun the attack." Xero spoke, mostly to himself, "Should give us a good few minute to get out of here then."
"W-who?" Xero just smiled at Eri's question, as he held out a hand for her to take, seeing how desperately she wanted to take it. How she desperately wanted to leave and get away from Overhaul forever but the fear of someone else dying, because of her, held her back. The threat of Overhaul hangs over here head like the sword of Damocles but the fear was being overwhelmed by her desperate wanting and longing to leave forever.
He only needed to apply a little more pressure.
"My friends Eri. What did you think i would come here alone?" More cracks appeared, as Overhaul's grip on Eri threatened to break even further, "Him and his goons would be too busy to even get here, that is, if they survived the first attack." The tiny girl slowly un-balled herself, looking at Xero still outstretched hand, "I get it Eri, I understand. You're scared of Overhaul and it's alright to be scared. Hell, if i was in your shoes, i'd be scared too but you don't have to be scared anymore. Whatever he's done, whatever he told you, NONE of it is YOUR fault. It's Overhaul's fault and his sick, twisted need to be right that has forced you to live in these conditions, but you don't have to live like this anymore. If you just take my hand, i swear to the goddess above, he will never, EVER hurt you again and i swear, i won't leave you alone either."
Tears built up in her eyes, so painful it nearly had Qrow tearing up from the sight of it, "You promise? You promise you won't leave?"
"I promise and a Mazoku never breaks a promise."
That did it, the damn holding back her tears and Eri herself broke, as she let out a choked sob, before rushing to Xero, not taking his hand but hugging him, desperately clinging onto him like he was her lifeline. Xero wrapped his arms around her, as Eri buried her head in his stomach, "Please, please don't leave me." Her voice cracked making Qrow's own heart crack at the sound.
"I won't." Sliding his hands under her little legs, lifting her up in a princess hold, her head now buried in his shoulder, Xero moved his mask back over his face before looking to Qrow, "Alright Qrow, time to make like a banana and split."
Oh Brothers, it's like he was dealing with another Tai or worse, Yang.
The trio made their way out of the underground facility, running into a few dead Yakuza punks, their throats cut open, making it clear that 'Mr. Hands' had cleared the way for them. Not that Xero let Eri see, as he kept the girl very close and Eri herself clearly didn't want to leave the warmth of his arms.
"He's so warm."
Eri didn't know why but she couldn't stop the tears from coming from her eyes. What was this feeling? It wasn't fear or hate but...something nice, something she liked and wanted more of. So much more, she subconsciously tightens her little fist on his shirt, trying to get more of the wonderful warmth his body seemed to give off in spades.
The trio soon made it outside and after seeing the kid mock Overhaul, preparing to finish him off, there was a sudden burst of red light, knocking Qrow away in the process. Which leads us to where we are now, where's Xero found Qrow and recalled Kiana, telling them too-
"You can't be serious!" The older woman for the first time since Qrow met her, showed shock, "You want us to leave you here, to fight THAT thing?!"
The thing being a currently mutating Overhaul, as visible veins grew on his face, as his brown eyes turned a glowing red, not unlike a demon's eyes and his muscles grew from his skinny, thin body.
"No, I'm having you TWO leave with Eri." Xero pointed out, as he slowly unlatched a clingy Eri from him, much to the little girl's despair, "As things stand, i can't fight at my best while protecting Eri AND you two at the same time. I won't risk her safety and neither of you have any experience in fighting this kind of monster, nor dealt with Blood Magic before, so the best course of action is for you to leave with Eri so i can focus on Overhaul. I'll still have my Servants, so i won't be alone. You two being here won't help anything and are more help, if you LEAVE with Eri in tow. The bastard will target her, simply because he knows i will use my own body to protect her and just one wrong step could mean my permeant end."
Okay that made a lot of sense, no matter how much it annoyed Qrow to know that was true, even as the kid opened up a portal for the three to leave. Eri was still trying to cling onto him, making Xero sigh, as he used his free hand to reach up and unlock the collar that was connected to his golden rosary.
"Qrow and Kiana, you need to leave. Take Eri with you, i'll take care of Overhaul."
"But you promised you wouldn't leave me!" Oh, was it possible for words to hurt?
Xero knew words had power but for all his power with The Voice, Eri's heart breaking one hurt more than anything he could shout in this lifetime or the next. Having sat her down on the ground, even as she clung to him like he was her lifeline, Xero gently grabbed her wrists and opened her hand, planting the golden rosary in it.
"This rosary was given to me, by my mother on my twelve birthdays. The same day she died and her last gift to me, Eri. It is my most prized possession and I'm going to let you hold onto it for a little while okay?" Xero closed Eri's small hand, causing her to clutch the golden rosary in her hands, as he looked her in the eye through his mask, "I WILL be back for it, which means I have to come back to you, wouldn't i?"
The logic seemed to soothe the small girl's fears, but she still looked like she desperately wanted him to go with them but thankfully understood why he couldn't or at the very least, willingly to trust his words even if she didn't fully understand them. Young as she was, she understood that she would only get in the way, and she didn't want to be the reason for another person's death.
Qrow could see that but leaving the kid behind and tried to make his objection known, as Xero created a portal back to their little safe haven, "But-"
"No buts! Now GO!"
"GIVE ERI BACK!"
Oh, well it seems like someone was finished selling his humanity and going full blown monster, as Overhaul started moving towards them, promoting the trio to leave, as Xero readied his Tsuneni katto and Joy Colt as he entered Lighting Force State, charging at the now demonic Overhaul.
That was the last thing Eri saw, as they went through the portal.
Present Time
"I see." Out of everyone present, Sir Nighteye was the most effected by the story, deep in thought, "Overhaul...I know we've been keeping tabs on him and his Yakuza group but to think he would go so far, let alone to acquire such power of that magnitude. Never once did i think such a thing could happen. I suppose i own Lord Mazoku my thanks for not only preventing my death but the death of several heroes and police officers."
"Sir?" Mirio looked surprised at his mentor's words, as the older man answered his unasked question.
"Seeing as you are still in UA Mirio, you weren't told. My agency has been slowly gathering information on the Shi Hassaikai, preparing for a raid on the entire facility and take them all down in one fell swoop. But it would have been at least a couple of more months before we were ready to take them and now to hear this, Blood Magic and Overhaul's powerful quirk combined would have most certainly led to not just my death but several more." The bluntness of his tone made the older blonde flinch, as did All Might but the green haired man pushed on, "From what i can gather, i do not believe we could defeat such a foe with access to it, meaning all our efforts would have been for naught and Overhaul would have gotten away."
"Be that as it may, this does confirm one of our worries." Gudako said, crossing her arms under her large breasts, "While it is good to know we're getting to them, weakening them considerably, it's also made them desperate enough to send some of their own to a completely different world in search of new help."
"You think them choosing Earth 727 was deliberate?" Erwin asked, as Gudako nodded.
"I do." She then waved a hand to the people of said Earth, "There world looks like it came out of a comic book. In a society where superpowers are real, it's not completely uncommon for some to wind up with god tier powers like just like Overhaul's ability. The power to destroy and remake anything he wants with just one touch of his hands can be a terrifiying ability if you know what your doing. He clearly did and knew exactly how to inspire loyalty into his men to boot. Add Remnant into the mix, while they've got some interesting fellows and powerful people for sure with the Grimm but what's to stop the four kingdoms from pulling their heads out of their asses and really, truly uniting against them?" The people from Remnant frowned at that but otherwise said nothing, "Fall bitch over their might rant and rave about how unstoppable Salem might be but once Oni-chan and I deal with her, the Grimm will be easy pickings and thus, removing not only her but the Grimm as well, thus negating their plans even further. Making all their efforts moot point."
"Okay i get that." Hange spoke, "But wouldn't it be just as risky if not more so to travel to a completely different world altogether? Not to mention time and energy consuming to actually GO to the new world, then back? It all seems like a much bigger gamble."
"The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward." Levi said simply, "The bastards just can't give us a break at all, can they?"
"Sorry Levi but no, they can't." Gudako said sadly, "Things aren't ever simple when Oni-chan and i are involved, least of all when it comes to magic itself. One thing you've got to known by now about us, things are never simple. Magic has no limits, only imagination and understanding how to use it but magic itself is by its very nature, limitless."
"While that all makes sense, it doesn't explain why your brother broke out Lady Nagant." Midnight said, pointing towards the woman in question, as said woman spoke simply.
"Because my new boss knows how the world works." The why she spoke, it sent chills up the hero's and heroes in training spines, "It's quite clear to me that its the same in many different worlds. You all may preach justice and what not, but idealism alone won't protect the world from the evil that seeks to destroy it all. Someone has to do the dirty work that no self-respecting hero would do and that where I and Hawks come in."
"Kiana-"
"Quiet bird boy." Gudako cut off the blonde with just one glare, "This needs to be said and while this may seem like were attacking the HSC, we're not. Kiana is just simply stating facts we know all."
"Thank you." The dual haired woman nodded to the redhead, "As i was saying, somebody had to do the dirty work. Someone had to be the one to pull the trigger and kill those too who have proven to be too dangerous to be left alone and more than willingly to kill just for the fun of it. All Might," The former pro-hero turned to the titan of a man, "You did amazing work in keeping safety and sterilizability to the world, but the sad fact is that peace is very, very fragile. While you thrive and protected it in the spotlight, i protected that fragile peace from the shadows, from both villains AND heroes alike."
"Heroes?" Iida looked shocked, as did the rest of his classmates, as Kiana turned a cold eye to the blue haired boy.
"Yes, heroes too blue boy." The woman let out a humorless chuckle, "You all can't be so naive to believe that ALL heroes become heroes purely just to save lives and make the world a better place. Quite a few of them do it for the money, the fame and in some cases, the privilege that comes with being a pro-hero. It was my job to ensure certain...incidents involving those heroes didn't reach the light of day. Because if it did, that fragile peace and trust would have shattered like glass, allowing hero society tear itself apart because of that shattered trust."
"It's like you or you will say, Gran Torino." Gudako suddenly spoke, looking at the short, old hero, "The age you all live in, for better or for worse is an age of suppression. The thing about being suppressed, the more you try to keep a chain on them, the more people slip the leash."
The old hero hummed to himself before nodding, "Yeah. That does sound like something i would say and i can't disagree with you on that. It's one of the reasons why I didn't get my hero's license. Back then, in the olden days, i needed to be able to stay under the radar. But " His eyes narrowed as he looked at the purple haired sniper, "That doesn't explain why the kid broke you out."
"Because Mazoku is like me." At the questioning glances, Kiana elaborated, "He was someone who was used and betrayed by those he swore to protect. I did everything the HSC asked and when i wanted out, to start anew, they wouldn't let me walk, so i admit, i killed the bastard who tried to blackmail me into staying. Adding murder, along with many trumped up charges and next thing i know, I'm in Taurus prison deepest pit. Simply because i dared challenge the oh so righteous HSC and wanted to live my life, not be a tool for some old farts. Let that be a warning to you, young heroes," Kiana sweep an eye towards the young heroes in training, "Don't underestimate how far they will go to keep the peace and their dirty little secrets and be wary if you learn this truth. They will do ANYTHING to keep their dirty secrets. Anything."
PING
The same portal that brought the three, opened up once again before anyone could say anything edge wise. That caused everyone to suck in a breath, wondering just WHO was going to come out of the portal. Well, mostly the people of Remnant, Earth 727 and everyone that didn't know Xero personally, as a red covered figure soon came out of a portal, holding a golden, blood lanced spear as he landed on the ground, stabbing it into the ground.
It was-
"Mr. Xero/Big Boss!" Eri and Nora yelled in union, as the small white-haired child squirmed in Qrow's arms. The man let out a breath of relief, one he didn't realize he was holding, at seeing the kid okay and not being the cause of someone else's death. Sitting down the little munchkin, the small girl quickly darted to Xero, hugging his leg, best she could, regardless of the fact his leg was covered in blood, crying tears of happiness at seeing him alive.
Happy she didn't cause someone else's death.
"Xero-sama!" Asia, another worrywart, was by Pepper, her Twilight Healing already active and attempting to heal any and all wounds present on her master, "You're not hurt, are you?" The girl's face was pale. Oh god there was so much blood, so much!
"It's not my blood." His words caused the storm in Asia's head to settle, if only a little bit, as his adopted mother, Pepper, had wrapped him in a hug not caring about his blood covered state. He could feel the woman's relief and worry all rolled up into one little ball of anxious energy.
"Thank god, i was so worried when i heard you faced that monster alone." Pepper muttered into his neck, as Xero wrapped his hands around her shoulders, trying not to bloody her nice clothes up. Normally he wouldn't care but this was his adopted mama for Goddess's sake. His mother taught him well after all and seeing as he had worried her, for good reason no doubt, he felt he owned her at the very least to try to ease her worries. Releasing her, Xero smiled down at Eri, as she reluctantly handed him back his golden rosary.
"I told you I'd be coming back for that rosary, Eri." Xero chuckled, almost patting her head but stopped himself, seeing as he was quite literally drenched in blood from head to toe before he slipped the rosary collar back around his neck. Back in it's proper place.
"Welcome back Oni-chan." Gudako smiled, greeting Xero, "Things got a bit messy, i presume?"
"What, this?" Xero motioned to his blood covered form, "Nah, this is a new style I'm trying out. It's called 'dumbas-fool dunks himself in red paint because he forgot to place the paint bucket in a good, stable place.'" He snarked back, stopping himself from cursing in front of the young girl, smiling at the redhead, "You should give it a try, it's a good style. Here, I'll help." Xero moved some of his blood-soaked hair, ready to slap Gudako with it, only for the girl to step back with a smile.
"No thanks, I'm perfectly fine with all the redhead i have on me."
"Yes well," Tony chose that moment to approach his son, a mixed expression on his face, "Seems like you had an eventful evening." His eyes then slide down to the small girl hugging his legs, which was funny enough, one of the few places where he didn't HAVE so much blood on him, "And you brought a unicorn back with you."
"Yes well," Xero spoke, unknowingly copying his father as he tried to smile but came out as a more brittle expression, "After learning that Earth 727 was actually real and within our ability to reach, not mentioning what we have known about the 'cannon timeline' of their world, i may have acted impulsively."
"Going on, doing something you said you wouldn't do anymore." Steve said, compacting on the guilt, as Xero sighed tiredly.
"Okay, i admit." He held up his hands, as Eri stopped hugging him and was now standing very close next to him, regardless of the blood dripping off of him, "I acted impulsive, ran off without telling you all and I am sorry for that. I'm used to doing things on my own and this is nothing more than an occupational hazard."
"At the very least, take one of us with you next time big brother." Historia spoke, adding to Xero's guilt even more, " We're a team, we are supposed to have each other's back. If not one of us, then at least take Gudako with you. Servants are good and all, but they require your mana and will vanish if you run out of it."
"Alright little sister, i will." Xero said trying to smile again but failed to do so.
"Excuse me, i don't mean to sound ungrateful but how do we know that any of this is real?" Councilman Sleet asked the hard-hitting question. While everyone was reeling from all this information, some wondered if this was actually true and needed to be confirmed before they did anything. They lived in a world where illusionary semblances, CG effects, mutants with telepathic abilities and every other manner of things that could be faked were real and magic was supposed to be a myth, "Forgive me for saying this but this all sounds like a bad plot line for one of those video games. By your word, all we have for confirmation is your word, not actually, physically proof to actually prove you're telling the truth."
"Sleet, that's-"
"A COMPLETELY fair thing to say." Xero cut off Ironwood, as he looked at the older man, "You're right. I don't have any real proof aside from my word and seeing as how Earth's people have actually seen my handy work, see the evidence, they now understand what it all means. If i was in your shoes, i would be saying the same thing and even then, I'd need hard evidence for it to be proven true. So, saying that, what can i do to prove that this is all real?"
"I want you to bring Robyn Hill and the Happy Huntress here." The councilman's answer surprised everyone, Ironwood included before the general narrowed his eyes knowingly at Sleet, as the man ignored him, "Robyn has a truth telling semblance, so we can at least confirm you're telling the truth about...ALL OF THIS." Not just the Dead War but magic itself, what the Grand Order, the Multiverse, himself and his Servants.
"Okay, we can do that but first..." Xero spread his hands and showed off his blood dripping form, "I really, really need a shower, get hit with a pressure washer or something similar."
"I'll say." Levi wrinkled his nose in disgust at his friend, "Till you had ten showers, don't come close to me, least that flith rub off on me."
Wrong thing to say, as Xero grinned and moved towards Levi, arms spread, as if to give a hug, "Why Levi you say such kind things, maybe i should guve you a hug to show my appreciation. Hey Hange, hold him still, will Ya?"
"Do that and I'll break both arms and legs, then turn you into a Prestel if you take one step closer to me." The soldiers of SHEILD and many others openly laughed at the expression on Levi's face, even as Hange moved to do that with a giant grin on her face. He looked like he been told he had cancer and the only cure, was to kiss rhino shit.
Xero just laughed, as Irina asked, "So, Xero-sensei are you really alright?" At his questioning glance, Xenovia answered.
"You're covered in blood, sensei."
"Oh, this?" Xero waved toward his bloody body once more, "It's like i said, not my blood. Turns out the drug or whatever it is Overhaul used was very unstable. So unstable, it ended up making his entire body exploded only a few minutes after our fight begin again. I knew that a quick way to gain power always had a power and that fool was clearly the Cult's test subject in using their new drug." Xero let out a cruel chuckle, "The irony should not be lost. He used hiw own adopted daughter as a test subject, a tool to fuel his ambition and in the end, he got the same treatment without him even realizing it till it was too late. How fitting an end for that bastard." He made a left to find the shower, having used it times before when he finished his Trails, as Eri followed closely behind. He paused and looked at his little follower, noting the dirt, grime and a smug of blood on her when she hugged him earlier, as he smiled, "I suppose you'll need one too, won't you? Would that be alright, Eri?"
The girl said nothing, simply nodding. Xero made to walk further before a certain redhead Assassin made his presence known, carrying several books in his hands, "Master, the books as you requested."
"Thank you Fuuma." Xero would have patted his head or even kissed the shorter man, but he was A.) Covered in blood and B.) The Assassin, while he loved his master dearly, was still very embarrassed by any form of PDA. Smiling, Xero turned back to the people of Earth 616, Remnant and Earth 727 "Now, while this may seem like allowing you all to cheat by seeing this information, i just want you to know...that's EXACTLY what I'm doing. Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to flip the script and stack the deck in our favor."
"I'm sorry but what are you talking about?" Ochako had to ask, her confusion mirrored by many, as Xero just smiled.
"Exactly as it sounds gravity girl, we're going to stack the deck in our favor." Xero waved a hand to the redheaded Assassin, as the shorter man handed the brown-haired girl one set of papers with the words 'Uravity' written on it, much to her surprise. Wasn't that her hero's name? "Contained within these papers are the files is your history, abilities and how far you can go or at the very least, how far you can go at this stage in your life. For people like you Izuku, who has very poor control over your power though not for a lack of trying, shall find this very enlightening. Your paper will not only contain everything you need to know on how to not only use One For All without breaking every bone in your body, but how to reach the next level of your abilities."
"R-really?" The green haired boy looked both overjoyed, looking at the green covered book like it held all of life' secrets and he very much looked like he was ready to cry a river, as if he received the greatest gift in the world. In a sense, he did. "T-thank you Lord Mazoku."
"Oi, don't thank me." Xero jabbed a finger towards Fuuma, "thank him. He's the one who did all the work in finding and organizing this shit. So really, you many of you should be down on your knees, thanking my Assassin."
"THANK YOU!"
Even if Xero meant it as half a joke, many like Izuku, Kirishima, Ruby and Jaune actually did crash to their knees, profoundly thanking the blushing Assassin.
"I-it was nothing. My master asked me to do this, that's all." He tried to play it off, but his fellow redhead was having none of that.
"No way man, this is great, really." Kirishima patted the Assassin's back, "This is basically like a real-life cheat code!"
"Are you sure, you're allowed to do this?" Ren asked, not unwillingly to ignore such a grand gift but worried that receiving such a gift would have served ramifications, "Things like this, usually come with a price."
"I hate to say it, but i agree with Ren, Xero." Tai said, not trying to sound ungrateful but like Ren, just genuine worry, "This is great, wonderful even but surely there has to be some price that must be paid for gaining this future knowledge, right?"
"You're right to worry but this isn't an instant powerup." Olga said, cutting in, "All these files do is tell you HOW to reach this level and what to do to gain this level of skill. It's all up to the individual to train and gain the experience necessary to obtain it."
"So, it's more of a guide than anything." Nezu mused, before smiling brightly, "Thank you very much Fuuma, Lord Mazoku. But forgive my bluntness but does these guides have something to do with the upcoming Dead War and the Cult of Umber being in our world?"
"It does." Xero said, not denying it, "This isn't a free give anyway, as it's become very clear the Cult isn't going down without a fight. So, to even the playing field, before i went to save Eri, i asked Fuuma to find the books close enough to your world's timeline and even Remnant's to give us a much better chance at stopping them. Not just them but finding future enemies and the current members of Salem's inner circle, their skills, semblance and how they're connected to others. One i think you'll find very interesting General Ironwood. Go to page sixteen and you'll see." As Xero said this, the redheaded Assassin gave the good general his own copy and he skipped to the pages mentioned, before his eyes widen in horror.
"Athur Watts is alive and working for Salem?!" He clutched his own book or files, if you want to get all technical, glaring at the piece of paper, as if it had personally offended him.
The black-haired teen didn't answer the general, as he turned to Blake, as Fuuma reluctantly gave the cat Faunus her own paper, earning him a very suspicious glare, "Let me just say this kit-kat, i don't like you, you don't like me. I'd be more than happy to never see your stupid ass ever again after today but as it stands, you're BARELY more tolerable than miss Cin-ITCH so i'll let it slide. Considered this my olive branch to you, to put our differences aside for the moment get this shit down and then never see each other again. Fine?"
"...Fine." The look on her face, the way she talked and how she seemed to read the paper with barely restrained interest set Xero's danger sense into high gear. Not like fighting Solomon, Goetia, Eveline, Artorius or the Demon God Pillars but in a way that reminded him of a bunch of self-righteous idiots that can't take a hint to know when they're outmatched.
In a way, it reminded him of that old bastard Melchior from Velvet's world. The old bastard was nowhere near Xero's level of power but from where lacked power, he made up in tricks and persistence.
Very, VERY annoying persistence and unwillingness to see from their point of view. In that moment, Xero knew that he was going to have to shatter Blake's resolve to continuously challenged him to pointless, useless fights.
He admired a strong will, a will to keep going even if it was pointless and the end result would stay the same but sometimes, that same will was often in the hands of the wrong people.
Hitler, Red Skull, Gotiea, general Deathshed, Bitch Miranda, William 'I always come back' Afton, that long legged insane blonde named Doffy, that damned bloody Cult and many other annoying, jackasses. The kind of people that just never quit, no matter what you do or how many times you killed them. They're being one in every world and Remnant it seemed, was no different.
"Lord Mazoku, I don't mean to sound ungrateful, as these are amazing gifts, but-"
"You're hoping I would give you a file on future enemies or at the very least, those that will be a part of the LOV, right?" Xero interrupted Nezu, as the small principal nodded, "With all their abilities, weapons, Quirks and names, right?" The small principal actually looked a bit guilt at that, as Xero simply smiled, before fishing out a large file seemly out of nowhere and handed it to Nezu, "Already did it for you. But since I'm such a nice guy, i even had Fuuma note down events in which some of these villains will be directly involved in the original timeline of your world. Seeing as there is a very good chance that the Cult will involve them in our world in some way, having their members cut down considerable will work in our favor just as much as it does for yours."
Nezu took the file with a large smile, "Thank you Lord Mazoku, Mr. Fuuma. This will help us greatly in the future." The small principal felt hope flare in his heart, as did the rest of the heroes, maybe now they can get the drop on the growing League of Villains.
While many were very grateful to the Magus for doing this, some were not. Case in point, with Cinder just glaring death at the Magus.
"You can't help but cheat, can you?" The woman tried to give him a mocking smile, but it came out as a tight grin, as her Maiden's power tried to flare to the surface but was restrained, "Can't fight me on a fair level without having some sort of crutch?"
"Seeing as I'm quite literally giving not just you but everyone in the world a personal, first-person view of my life, my abilities, weapons and you all got to see my strengths with weakness to boot, I'd say this is a more than fair trade off." Cinder's smile died at that, as that was very true, she glared even harder at Xero, who was the one that was mockingly smiling, "Not that it would matter, as your nothing but a leech. Yeah, i read about what you did to Amber bitch, and it's become clear to me, you're the weak one here. Sure, you portray yourself as strong, but the truth is that you nothing but a leech, sucking the life out of others, stealing what is not yours and using others till their usefulness is done, then killing for nothing more than to feed your own pathetic ego."
"As if your one to talk." Cinder spat, "I EARNED this power-"
" You didn't earn shit, you STOLE it." Xero cut her off, giving his own glare, "Stealing does not equally earning. You're a power hunger bitch that can only get strong by leeching off others. Your skills may be impressive and well-earned, but the Maiden's power was NEVER yours to begin with. You didn't earn them, you stole them from Amber, tearing her soul in two in the most disgusting manner possible. You couldn't even bet Amber fair and square, tricking two children into following you, unaware the moment their usefulness runs out just because you feel like it, will get rid of them. I know Mercury couldn't care less but Emerald loves you with all her heart and soul." Xero glared even harder, as his Yoki started rising, causing his eyes to turn gold, "Oh by your more than aware of that but instead of giving Emerald her hard, earned reward, you string her along and people like you are the type i hate most. Using those who give you everything without a second thought and throwing them away just because you can."
"Cinder wouldn't do that!" The green haired girl, as expected, loyally defend Cinder, glaring at the Mazoku, "How the hell would you know about how i feel or who Cinder is!"
"Because I was once in the same position as you child." Medea suddenly appeared right beside her husband on his left side, with Fuuma on his right, a look of both sorrow and recognition on her face as she looked at Emerald's face, "Like looking in a mirror, you have the same look i had when i was younger. When i was in love with Jason, i abounded everything to for him. I was the beloved princess of a nation at the time and i give all that up to be with him but what did i get in the end?" Medea's eyes harden, "I was betrayed by him, the gods, my people grew to despise me and died, being remembered as the Witch of Betrayal, when in reality it was I who was the one that was betrayed. All because i could not see who Jason truly was and if you are not careful, you'll end up just like me. I don't say this to weaken Salem's forces, i say this because i do not wish to see someone else experience the same pain of betrayal i felt by the one i loved the most." Her face softened considerable, as she grabbed Xero hand, not minding the blood coating it, "I got lucky to find myself an ideal master and husband in this lifetime Emerald. I believe you can too but if you want that someone to be Cinder, then know all that route will be filled with nothing but pain, suffering and betrayal. It's not too late for you to break free and leave this burning ship of Salem's. Can you honestly say that Cinder would actually love you, even if you have her everything, she wanted on a silver platter or would she simply thrown you away to ensure no one can challenge her? Even that boy Mercury can see that. You and he are nothing but tools to Cinder, he can see it, can't you?"
Her words and face struck a chord in the mint haired teen. No, no way. The blue haired woman was wrong, Cinder wasn't like that. Once she had the Maiden's power, Cinder would finally return Emerald affection for her.
Surely, she would, once Cinder had everything she wanted, right.
Right?
Judging by the look of anger on Cinder's face and Mercury's...stoic one, did not fill Emerald with ease. if nothing else, it only worsened the growing pit in her stomach. Surely Medea was wrong, she had to be.
She HAD to be wrong!
"Why do you even care?" Emerald whispered, feeling her faith in Cinder starting to be shaken but not broken.
Not yet.
It was always there, in the back of her mind but Emerald ignored it up until now. Now, that they had mentioned about her, giving Cinder the four Maiden's power, would Cinder really, truly keep her around afterward.
No.
Not when Emerald could possess the powers for herself. But the green haired girl shoved those thoughts in the back of her mind, convincing herself that she could prove herself to Cinder and all those thoughts were nothing more than a byproduct of her living on the streets. It wouldn't happen, it couldn't happen.
"Personally I don't care." Xero said simply, seeing the cracks in Emerald's loyalty to Cinder appearing. Now he simply needed to apply some pressure and let nature take its course, "As i said before, i hate people like Cinder. Especially those who knowingly use the loved one holds for them, against them to control them. It hurts to be betrayed by a friend but to be betrayed by the ones you love, is a whole other league of pain that i would not wish upon my worst enemy. Your a street rat Emerald, but you are also a survivor as well, thus meaning you are smart. Here's a piece of unwanted advice: The ship you are on is heading to disaster and you still have time to jump ship, least you get dragged down to hell with the rest of the ship." The sliver-streaked teen looked Emerald in the eye before saying, "But the choice is yours, you can be a loyal dog to someone who will throw you away at her own leisure or you can smarter up, tell this bitch to go screw herself and choke on her own ego, then make your own way in the world. While i value loyalty, it's a two-way street and Cinder has NO loyalty to YOU. Cause let me tell you how the story will end if you stick with Cinder: You lose."
"Bullshit." Mercury scowled, "There's no way we'll-"
"YOU. WILL. LOSE." Xero punctured each word, shutting the sliver haired teen up, as he looked to a scowling Cinder, who was glaring daggers at him, "You're all missing the point! There's no throne, there is no new world order where you all get to be top dogs, there is no power to be made your own and most of all, there is no version of this where you come out on top. That's what your clearly pea brain minds don't seem to understand, so let me put it in a way that you can understand it. Maybe your Grimm come and maybe it's too much for us but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth and Remnant, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it."
No one had anything to say after that, while the three minions of Salem refused to admit defeat, no matter what logical, truthful points he made. Thankfully many others could see the writing on the wall.
Ozpin could finally see an end to his unwanted eternal war with his lost love and maybe, just maybe an end to the Grimm themselves. The people of Earth, at least a good portion of them begin to believe that they could finally see peace within their time. Sure, many groups might not like it and while this entire thing could end up becoming another Cold War era after the Rotten World is defeated there was hope it could lead to something grander.
A way for the people of all nations to put aside their petty differences to become one united world.
But some others...did not.
"But seriously, I get wanting the Maiden's power." Gudako suddenly said, standing beside her Oni-chan, as she conjured a small ice, "I couldn't image life without my magic, but I have to ask: Just what is your endgame?" At seeing the look of slight confusion, the redhead packed on, "Wait, you don't have one? Is obtaining the Maiden's power not a means to an end for you? Okay, let me ask you this, if you gain all that power, just what are you planning to do with all that power, aside from opening the Vaults, what then? Just what comes next after obtaining all that power? Just what are you fighting for and hoping to achive by the end of all this?"
"..."
Silence.
Cinder said nothing, just glaring hatefully at the redhead for reminding her that she honestly, had no endgame.
There was no end goal.
Cinder wanted to be strong, she wanted the power to be feared by all and never be weak again. But that was it, who cared what came after, all that mattered to Cinder was that she had power beyond belief and no one could challange her.
Not the huntsman, not people like Rhodes or Watts, not Ozpin or his weak allies, not the children she tricked into following her, not Salem's followers or Salem herself. She would be the strongest in the world and NO ONE would ever be her equal.
No one.
Shaking his head, ignoring how some blood leaked out of his hair, Xero spoke, "Just because you think obtaining all four pieces of the Maiden's power will make you invincible, let me give you a small reality check, seeing as you are clearly detached from it. You might be powerful by Remnant's standards but there will always, ALWAYS be someone out there even stronger than you. Stronger than Salem, stronger than Ozpin in his prime and yes, even stronger than me." Xero chuckled darkly, "You think you can become the strongest just by killing four women with the bare minimal of magic? You have no idea."
Names and faces of creatures, human and otherwise, flowed through Xero's mind. Some actually fully, one hundred precent humans and many others beyond human with inhuman powers and abilities beyond all imaging. If this bitch thought that gaining the Maiden powers would put her in their league, she would be in for one hell of a shock.
The multiverse was an infinite massive place after all and anything possible was possible.
"No wonder you're a leech." Medea commented, looking at Cinder like one would look at a particular disgusting bug, "You don't even have a clear goal in mind or even a desire to achieve something. You have no true drive to get stronger by your own merits, just looking for a short cut to satisfy your fragile ego. Salem must really be scraping the bottom of the barrel getting someone like you on her side." Medea then gained a smirk, "Then again, maybe that's how she got you on her side in the first place. Seeing as you and your personality is nothing but flaming minotaur crap." Well, clearly Xero's smartassness was rubbing off on her.
As this happened, both Roman and Neo laughed at Cinder getting roasted so badly. Before, he wouldn't even dare crack a smile at Cinder's expense but now. Now he was wondering just why the hell he was scared of her to begin with?!
Seeing the bitch's face get angrier, made the duo, well Roman at any rate as Neo couldn't speak, laugh even harder.
"And just what are YOU fighting for?" Cinder spat, having enough of this high and might attitude from some boy who had no idea what it was really like to fight just to survive, not to mention being laughed at being someone who she saw below her, only made her more pissed, "Seeing as how you were used in the future, how can you be so sure that it won't end the same way?" Leave it to Cinder to try and sow the seeds of doubt.
Too bad for her, Xero was fully prepared for it, "They'll try and will fail, like all others before them. As for what I'm fighting for." He smirked, as he planted and rubbed Eri's head, who was clinging to his pant leg, "I'm fighting to protect the ones i love, the prospect of my clan and a better future for us all. I'm fighting to keep this world from falling into complete hell and to stop needless blood from being spilled. It's not perfect but despite all its faults, I like this world and the people in it. So, I won't stand by and let some whiny ass, little bitch like you and your equally whiny ass mistress destroy everything we hold dear in some sort of temper trauma." Turning to his father, ignoring the look of pure murder on Cinder's face at Medea's words, the man had a proud smile on his face at his mini-self's words, he spoke, "Now, I'll be back in a few minutes after i get out all this blood dad." He then turned to Steven and Gudako, "I trust you two to handle these idiots if they try something."
"Sure." Steve nodded, "Though i do agree with Historia about what she said Xero. We're a team and we're supposed to watch each other's backs."
"I know, i know." Xero held his hands up in surrendered, "And I'm sorry about. Bit of an impulse on my part and being unable to just wait for the heroes to save the girl, when i was fully equipped, fully ready to do the task myself. To be honest, aside from Gudako, i'm used to doing things on my own, and from my Servants helping but that's splitting all kinds of hairs."
"A task, that i fear we might have lost miserable, had it not been for you intervention Lord Mazoku." Sir Nighteye made his presence known, as he gave a thirty degree bow to the young man before him, "I thank you for dealing with Overhaul and the Yakuza. You save many lives from dying a needless death."
"Yes, well to be honest it was kind of my own fault anyway." Xero winced a little, "Me pushing and hunting down the Cult like i have, made them desperate enough to seek out allies in YOUR world, involving you all in our own mess. So yeah, sorry, that's my bad."
"I wouldn't worry about it Mazoku." Edgeshot said, "Sooner or later they would have found our world and recruited some of our most dangerous foes to their side. Saying that, I must ask why you chose to break out Lady Nagant." Ah, so their it was.
"It's because she was wrongfully imprisoning and I'm not about to let an innocent person rot for doing her job. Don't believe me," Xero reached into his dimension pocket, pulling out a folder with the words CLASSIFIED written on it, "take a look at this. I'm sure you'll find them very enlightening." He tossed the blood-stained file to the ninja hero, who looked at him oddly but did as he was told and begin to read it, as Xero looked at Medea, "Come on, I'm sick of feeling like i took a blood bath."
"Wait, one more thing boss." Betty called to Xero, causing the Magus to look at the mutant, "I understand the whole cheating fate thing, giving us the means to known how far we can go to become the best, but why don't we have those kinds of papers for ourselves." By ourselves, she meant the Avengers and the people of their world.
"Long story short, it's me exploiting a loophole." At her confused face, Xero elaborated, "As the Curator took us from OUR world, we have to follow the laws and rules to be in this realm. Namely, we are not allowed to see certain books that can depicted our future selves unless we have already seen it like i have. But only the events of Avenger Xero's future, not any other future relating to THIS world. However, seeing as Earth 727 technically isn't Earth 616, therefore the rule does not apply to them. The same goes for Remnant, as it's a completely different world entirely and that's all i've got to say, as i really, really need a bath. Now, if you'll excuse me, i need to go before i start snorting iron through blood."
The trio vanished into the deeper depths of the repository.
"Don't think this is over fool."
Cinder swore to herself, as she eyed the small child that was clinging onto him, a dark idea forming in her mind, plans for on how to use the small child to her advantage. While many of his weaknesses weren't things she could attack, the fool had presented her with the greatest weakness of all:
The weakness of love and how love can be used against those who wish to protect those they love.
The sight of the small girl finally promoted Summer to ask the question everyone wanted to know.
"Well, it's good he saved that poor girl from Overhaul but what will happen to her now?"
"Knowing Oni-chan, more than likely he's has every intention of adopting Eri." Gudako's had many heads turn to her, as she smiled a more gentle, proud smile, "Unlike most people, he takes responsibility for what he's done. In some cultures, if you save a person's life, then you become responsible for that person and seeing as how attached Eri is to Oni-chan, it's obvious who should take her in. If not for that, then it's her power, her Quirk as you all would call it, is known as Rewind."
"Rewind?" Jaune eyebrows went up, "Like, going backwards?"
"Yep." Gudako nodded, a serious look coming to her face, "Given how little control she has over it, no thanks to Overhaul wanting to keep her as weak as possible, she is not only untrained in using it, but also terrified of her own power. Eri's Quirk allows her to reverse a living individual's body back to a previous state, allowing her to make her target physically younger, heal injuries, and undo bodily modifications. She has even shown the ability to rewind someone's body to a point before they existed."
"You're kidding?!" Eren all but yelled, eyes wide in horror.
"I am not." Gudako sighed sadly, "It's why her mother abandoned her, she accidently used her Quirk on her father, unintentionally killing him. Anyway, the source of her Quirk's power is located in the horn on her head, and the size of the horn dictates the strength of her power. Hence why it's now nothing but a stub at the moment, showing its inactiveness. It is also an accumulation-type Quirk, which means the power it emits has to build up over a period of time before becoming usable. As a result of her Quirk mutating her body, Eri's blood is able to attack an individual's Quirk and stop its activation by reversing the target's evolution before the point of the Quirk awakens. Its why Overhaul abused Eri, because he wanted her power to establish himself as the new 'Dark Emperor' of the underworld, after All For One was defeated by Mr. Might."
"So, I DO defeat All For One after all?" The blonde titan asked, as Gudako nodded, causing the man to let out a sigh of relief, "Good. That's, that's good."
"But at a great price."
"Of course, there is one." Gran Torino sighed, not at all surprised at this fact.
"Hate to rain on your parade, but are you sure it's wise to keep the girl around with an unstable power like that?" Hange meant no harm when she asked this, just genuine curious and rightfully, worried, "I mean, i trust Xero-chan but these things have a way of running amok at the worst possible time." A power like Rewind had the potential to be either great things or very terrible things after all.
"I wouldn't worry about it." Olga said, "Knowing master, he probably thought of that too and will be working on something that will not only allow Eri to control her power but ensure it doesn't run wild without her permission."
"And the other reason why boss took me from prison." Kiana said, "As a Quirk user myself, i have the best chance to teach Eri how to control hers, even if we have completely different Quirks, he doesn't have a Quirk. Should be an interesting experience."
The people of Earth 727 said nothing, as they all had good points but Nezu however, was pondering on what the tall woman said and his suspicions about the Hero Public Safety Commission had all but proven to him that his suspicious were indeed founded. There WAS indeed corruption festering in the Commission, enough corruption to frame a pro-hero after she was forced to do their dirty work for simply wanting to leave.
"It seems that this will be more than just a learning experience for our students. Lord Mazoku, it seems you and i have a lot to take about."
A lot to take about indeed.
"So, what I'd miss and, where's Raven?" Qrow asked, noticing his sister was missing, as the Curator answered him.
"Your sister willfully and knowing tried to defy the rules of being in this repository and paid the price. Now, as i bring Miss Hill and her team here, they too shall be brought back."
This caused Qrow to sigh, "Why am i not surprised. She was never one to follow anyone's orders, even Summer's." He made to reach for his drink only to blink, as the Curator's words sunk in, "Miss Hill? Who's that?"
"See for yourself."
With yet another bright light, Raven and her tribe members were brought back, all gasping for air. Along with four newcomers, ones that had Clover and Harriet growing at seeing four of their biggest headaches in Mantle.
"What the hell? Where are we?" A tall, tan skinned woman with masculine features and short dark green partially spiked hair, beige eyes and tattoos on her nose and forehead. She wears a cocoa brown coat with dark brown lapels and white trim and hem detail over a light beige long-sleeved top. She wears artichoke green and white armored pads with emerald, green straps on her arms alongside brown gloves. She sports a pair of brown trousers tucked into black boots with emerald, green cuffs. She also wears a light gray and pale green breastplate that sports the Happy Huntress' brooch emblem in the centre.
This was Joanna Greenleaf.
"I don't know but it looks like some kind of library of sorts." Spoke the next woman. She was a fair-skinned woman with medium blue hair, a long butt length ponytail wrapped in white bandage-like fabric, and yellow eyes. She wears a dusty brown coat with a small split in the rear, dark brown lapels with the Happy Huntress' brooch emblem on the right lapel over a gray waistcoat and dark brown top. She also wears dark brown shorts alongside matching forearm length gloves with gray armor padding over her forearms and the backs of her hands. Alongside a pair of gray thigh socks and dark brown thigh-high boots and an orange scarf.
This one was May Marigold.
"With a lot of people in it." A shy voice spoke, belonging to the shortest of the four. A young Faunus with short and messy swept styled white hair and olive eyes. She has sheep ears as her Faunus trait with a small hoop earring on her left ear and a small bell earring on her right ear. She wears an olive-green sleeveless coat with dark brown lapels with the Happy Huntress' Brooch on the left lapel. She sports a green long-sleeved shirt with a white orange trimmed breastplate over it. She wears an orange belt, which holds her coat tightly around her waist. She also wears dark brown pants tucked into gray under the knee boots with the tops folded over revealing the white lining. The soles and toes of the boots are a darker gray. She also wears dark fingerless gloves accompanied by white and gray forearm leather armored pads with the left arm covering up to her upper arm whilst the right only partially covers her forearm.
This was Fiona Thyme.
"With General Ironwood and his lap dogs as too." Spoke the leader of the group, Robyn Hill as she glared at the good general, "Care to tell us what's going on or are you going to try to cover that up too?" Robyn is a young woman with tanned skin and violet eyes. Her light-blond hair is tied in a ponytail. She has a beauty mark under her right eye and another one on the left side under her mouth.
Robyn wears a black sleeveless coat with gray accents over a red double-breasted sleeveless vest, a brown high neck shirt, and a light gray short-sleeved shirt with one right short sleeve that has a black cuff whilst the other sleeve is longer. She also wears a brown belted waist clincher with matching brown pants tucked into black knee-high boots with dark brown cuffs. Around her neck she wears an olive-green scarf with tattered looking tails hanging behind her. She also wears a pair of black archery styled gloves with the index finger missing on both of them. She wields her weapon, a crossbow, on her left arm.
Well normally she did but that, along with the rest of the Happy Huntress's weapons were gone.
"Actually Miss Hill, it was i who called you all here." The voice of the Curator got the four Happy Huntress's attention, causing them to turn to see the man himself, clam as ever, "If you allow me just a few moments to explain, this entire situation can be cleared up."
The purple eyed woman looked at him with suspicion for a second before speaking, "Fine. Why are we here?"
One Explanation Later
"Y-you're kidding right?" May asked, shocked into silence, "Your lying! You have to be!"
"Take a look around." The Curator said simply, indicating to not just the people of Earth 616 but 727 as well "As hard as this is to believe, it is the truth. If you like miss Hill, you can use your semblance on me or anyone you desire." He even went so far as to give her, his hand, waiting for her to grab onto it. For someone with a semblance that detected the truth, no matter how good of a lair they were, was a very handy thing to have for someone in her line of work.
Being able to tell friend from foe, from truth and lie was something many would want on their side. Handy but not really a priority one kind of thing, as there were many other ways to discover liars but not as fast as that.
But none of that mattered, as Robyn looked at the Curator's outstretched hand as if it was a Grimm in disguise. This entire thing was moving too fast, with so much information being dropped on her, she could barely make sense of it all. Gods, Salem, the Multiverse, the Dead War, the Maidens, magecraft, Servants, it was too much, too much!
Seeing the young woman struggling to comprehend all this, the Curator decide to move on, as he turned his attention to Tony, "Mr. Stark, as i seem to recall, you wanted to see the battle between your son and the monster known as Cranage, correct?"
"I did." Tony needed, wanting to see just what kind of monster you needed to be, in order to freak out Venom.
"Good, with that in mind, we're doing this Death Battle style, we're going to do his bio first to show everyone just how dangerous he is." BB called out, shocking the four Happy Huntress, as they looked around for the Servant but didn't find her anywhere, "So strap in, seat down and shut up, as this will be the last video before a break."
(Invader - No Choir Mix)
"Cletus Kassady didn't have the chance to be a well-adjusted adult." Wiz started off, introducing the manic, "Because his entire family was already crazy."
"This is crazy." Joanna said, having a hard time believing any of this was real, even if it was happening before her very eyes. Something many understood, as Ghira voiced his thoughts.
"Indeed, but it's very real, Miss Greenleaf. While you all may have a hard time believing it, this is the truth. After all, our world did merge with another, one where semblances, Faunus and even Grimm don't exist. Is this any more different."
Very different, completely different but the woman said nothing, still trying to process everything. Not that the rest of her team was any better, as Robyn did indeed check to see if anyone was lying and after checking over twenty people, at complete random, all said was nothing but truth.
But it was still hard to understand that this was all really happening and very much real.

"When Cletus was just a boy, his father got sentenced to jail for killing his mother." Wiz said
"What?"
"Which he did, because she had tried to kill Cletus." Boomstick said, unaware of the jaws dropping in horror.
"What?!"
"Which SHE did because Cletus had tortured and killed her dog, Fifi." Wiz finished.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Bakugo yelled, echoing everyone's thoughts, even Eddie's.
"Dog killer!" Ruby yelled, pointing the finger of Doom at Cletus on screen.
"Well go Mrs. Kassady! All dog murders deserve death, even if they're only eight!" Boomstick said, before rubbing his own dog's head, "Right Jack Spaniels?" He got a happy bark in return, "Good boy. Oh, and Cletus killed his grandma too. Cause, eh she was kind of a bitch."
"Good lord, what the hell is wrong with them?!" Yang yelled, shaking her head.
"And I thought our family was screwed up." Weiss spoke, mostly to herself but Whitely and Winter nodded in agreement with her. Their father was a bastard, and their mother was a useless drunk, but the Schnee siblings were certain that neither would try to kill them.
Right?
"I know some people could be messed up but that's..." Idia moving his arm up and down like a robot, having no idea what to say, his mind trying and failing to understand Cletus's thought process in not only killing the family dog but his grandma too. Why, just why?!
"Okay, I've seen a lot of stuff as a pro-hero, but this right here is just messed up, Ya dig?" Present Mic said, shaking his head as his fellow heroes and teachers nodded.
"But he didn't stop there and wound up burning down his own orphanage." Wiz said, "Years later, he was finally arrested and convicted for eleven murders."
"You mean the eleven murders they knew about." Boomstick said, as the screen showed Eddie interviewing the murder.
"Before he was sentenced to death for his crimes, he was interviewed by the one and only, Eddie Brok the host of the symbiote Venom." Wiz spoke, "The symbiote is an alien known as a Klyntar. Thus, symbiote transformed the former reporter into a powerful anti-hero and a known member of the legendary Avengers."
"Wait, you're Venom?" President Ellis asked, as Eddie said nothing, but Venom had plenty to say, as he formed over his shoulder, grinning all the while.
"Yes, we are and don't you forget it."
"THE FUCK IS THAT?!" Bakugo yelled, instinct trying to fire off his Quirk but failed to do so. Everyone looked very wired ouit at the sight of the black goo, but after everything else they've seen today, it wasn't all that scary.
"Is that thing an alien?!" Oh, right almost forgot about the new additions to the theater room. The Happy Huntress were freaking out at the sight of the gooey Venom, as Logan answered for Venom.
"A chocolate eating, head biting, inky smartass."
"What the short hairy monkey said." Venom grinned, snarking back at the mutant, who took it in stride. What did he say, the alien was a smartass.
"However, rather than get any information and possible closure for the families of the people he murdered; Cletus only gave Eddie one nasty bite." Wiz said, as it showed the redheaded man biting the dark-haired journalist on the neck. But thankfully, he only nicked him rather than tear his throat out, "Whether by the hand of fate, a complete accident Cletus got more than just Eddie, he got some of Venom too. On the day of his schedule execution, Cletus didn't die by via lethal injection thanks to his newly born symbiote, broke out of San Quentin Prison. After slaughtering nearly, a hundred people, inmate, guards, and civilians alike the world had a new monster to contend with."
"The monster known as, Carnage." Boomstick said, as the screen changed to show the newly made Cranage break out of the restraints of his host and go on a bloody, bloody rampage, "A fitting name for mass murdering psychopath like them. Unlike Venom, this suit was created via Cletus's blood, thus creating this suit...out of blood. Eww. That doesn't seem sanitary."
"Okay, yeah that is gross." Ororo said, making a grossed-out face.
"You're telling me." Qrow made a gagging face, same as Ororo. Though all that paled in comparison to Levi, who shuddered in pure disguest.
"Disgusting." He reisted the urge to wipe his hands. Blood was gross enough as it was but held himself back, if only barely. Those who knew him best were very surprised he didn't.
"Cletus and his new symbiote quickly got up to doing what they did best: creatin' maximum cranage." Boomstick said with a slightly joking too, as it showed a 2-d animation of Spider-Man vs Cranage and Venom, "Remember that game? It was great."
"And with his new superpowers, he was a vicious force to be reckoned with." Wiz said, "He has the same superhuman strength, speed and durability as Venom, and supposedly even greater. Like a Venom 2.0."
"Really Eddie?" Jessica looked at the man in question, as he nodded, while Venom appeared once more.
"It's mostly due to the fact his symbiote body is made out of blood. While i bonded with Eddie through the outside, Carnage was able to form from WITHIN Cletus. I already had a form, but Carnage was created out of my DNA and the blood of Cletus himself."
"So, in bonding with Cletus through his blood, Carnage can use the iron in a person's blood, right?" Izuku asked, already writing a new bio page for Carnage and Cletus. The black skinned symbiote turned its head to the green haired teen, before speaking.
"That's one of the reasons, yes. But as this viewing will tell you, he's far more dangerous than myself, regrettable."
"Well, wasn't Riot just as dangerous as Cranage is?" Asia asked, not seeing any real differences between the red and sliver symbiotes, "Xero-sama was able to kill him with one burning attack, wouldn't that be the same for Cranage?"
"Maybe so, but this Cranage creature bonded through the blood of his host, child." Ember said, putting her own two cents in, "While i do agree with you on the level of these being equally dangerous, it's clear that this Cranage is much more durable than Riot was. Even if my little brother-in-law set him on fire, he could retreat into his host's body, negating any damage done to him. Sure, Cletus will be vulnerable to attacks but it's unclear how long it would take for him to regenerate his wounds."
"Meaning any lasting damage could be healed in an instant for all we know." Jaune said, "Cranage could come back, refreshed and ready to fight more, while his foe would be in a weakened, tired state."
"So the only way to take down, to kill Carnage is to kill both him and his host together in one, huge attack that would prevent them from regenerating." Pyrrha finished for her partner, earning nods from Venom."
"Correct. Thankful Zee has such a move that would destroy them both completely."
"He can shape-shift to make all sorts of killer weapons like axes, swords and spikes." Boomstick said, as the screen showed Carnage making these weapons, "He can even ripe those weapons off himself and launch em' at his victims. Have you ever tried rippin' your fingers up and throwing em' at people? Cause that it just kind of what Carnage does."
"That doesn't sound like it would be worth the pain." Irina said, rubbing her hands, not wanting to feel like her fingers being ripped off and using them as weapons. That just wasn't worth the pain at all, especially when you only had ten shoots at best.
"Indeed." Father Vincent said, looking a little pale himself at the screen, "I do have to agree with you there, Irina."
POWERS
-Superhuman Strength, Speed, & Staminia
-360 Degree Perception
-Camouflage
-Possession
-Regeneration
-Shapeshifting
-Wall Crawling
-Webbing
"The symbiote can also reach out with dozens of chaotic blood-soaked tendrils." Wiz said, "Prefect for strangling the people he doesn't want to see anymore. With a single touch, Carnage can infect a person with a portion of his symbiote. Controlling or torturing them at his leisure. He has unbelievable regeneration powers and even if someone finds a way to disable the suit, the Cranage symbiote lives in his bloodstream, and can come back out through something as meager as a paper cut."
"Brothers above, this thing sounds like an unstoppable Grimm." Clover spoke in shock, as he looked at Carnage with a new form of terror running through his veins, "And Lord Mazoku was able to kill this thing? This Carnage would have been able to easily kill normal huntsman, maybe even higher-level huntsman. Unless we know some kind of weakness for this thing, I'm certain most huntsman would have been cut down easily."
"You're not wrong." Gudako said, "That's not an insult to your people Clover, Carnage is just THAT dangerous. Most normal huntsman and even your headmasters would have fallen to this beast, without knowing his weakness. Well, unless you had a very powerful flame thrower or air cannon but i would recommend an air cannon."
"Fire and air?" Midnight asked, "Those are his weakness?"
"Well, actually its fire and sound but air is basically the same thing." Gudako waved her hand, "Wiz and Boomstick will go into more detail."
"Also, the symbiote literally see's everythin' around it." Boomstick said, as the screen changed to show a suit made of eyeballs "It's kind of like wearing a suit made of eyeballs."
"Gross!" Most of the younger girls and a few woman gagged at the sight and thought of an eyeball suit.
"But let's say you're able to dodge his projectiles, outrun the tendrils, and get out of sight of the eyeball suit." Wiz said, "You're still not safe. He will catch you, because he can sprout wings and fly!"
"What the hell/What the hell/WHAT THE HELL?!" Boomstick, Yang, Bakugo all said in union, "Since when?!"
"Since realizing that shape-shifting is a really, really useful ability." Wiz said simply, like it was obvious, and it should be.
"It does make sense." Izuku spoke, as he wrote in his notebook, "Shape-shifting is only limited to the user's imagination and ability to use it. It makes sense that Cranage can create wings, if he could make weapons, why not wings. In fact, if he really went so far, he could, mutter, mutter, mutter." And the boy is once again going on a mumbling rant.
His classmates giggled at the sight of his mubbling rant, while Bakugo merely gritted his teeth in annoyance, restraining himself from yelling at Deku.
"Kid's going to be hard pressed in this fight." Qrow said to Summer, as she nodded.
"Maybe but he's beaten him already, so it should be fine." The sliver eyed woman then looked down at her own hands, "I don't like it but i am happy he's gone. Can you image any huntsman or one of us actually going up against that monster?"
"He'd steam roll us." Tai said, shuddering in fear at the thought, "Even if we know his weakness's now, if we faced him without knowing this, we'd probably be dead. Even if we could take him down, there be a very good chance we would lose people trying to bring him down."
"So, he's able to fly, he's totally aware of everythin' around him and he's full of blood?" Boomstick asked rhetorically, "This guy is like a giant mosquito of death!"
"If this guy is a mosquito of death, then we'll need a very big bug spary." Tony commented, earning a couple of laughs but not many. This thing was very, very dangerous.
"When you put it like that, yeah i kind of have to agree." Clint said, very happy he didn't have to face this psycho, "Hell, I'm not sure if i should be glad i didn't have to fight this monster or feel guilty for leaving Xero to fight him on his own."
"Well, he wasn't completely alone." Natasha said, nodding her head towards Olga, as Clint nodded in understanding. Okay, that made sense, Servants and all.
"This Carnage honestly make the common Grimm look like a weakling." One of Raven's tribesmen spoke to another, "Could we even win against this thing? Like seriously actually win?"
"I honestly don't know man and quite frankly, i don't care to know. Hell, I'm not even sure boss Raven could beat him." Raven glared at the man who said that, and both wisely shut up. Barely two minutes back and already, the boy's allies were making her men question her? Oh, he'll pay for this, while she couldn't get to him here, sooner or later they will have to leave this space.
And when they did, Raven would see to it both Mazoku and his entire family pay. Then, no one will ever question her strength ever again.
"Um." Wiz had nothing to say to that, as he shrugged at his co-host, "Sure. Carnage has said he's at least ten times faster than the avenge man. But that's pretty modest, because Venom has shown he can move fast enough to catch a bullet, after it's been fired, and Carnage is frequently shown to be fast or even faster than him. This puts Carnage over 1'500 miles per hour, over twice the speed of sound."

"He's lifted a 50-ton tank and he can overpower Spider-Man, whose best supported strength feat was liftin' that giant machine thing that weighted as much as a 1965 locomotive."
"Which would put it around 130 tons." Wiz said, very impressed.
"And you know those wired tendril things crawlin' around his body?" Boomstick asked, "When he wanted to find a missing journalist in New York, he climbed to the top of the Empire State building and just stretched them all over the city."
"Really?" Fury asked, eyes widen than narrowed, "Since when? I'm pretty sure during the manhunt for Cranage, he never did this."
"Hey yeah." Peter Parker pitched in, seeing his name among the defeated, "When we went searching for Carnage, i didn't find him during it and i most certainly didn't fight the blood drunk jerk."
"It didn't happen in your reality, your universe Director Fury, Spider-Man." The Curator answered, "Note, that this footage was made from researching Carnage thoroughly, allowing Wiz and Boomstick to see EVERYTHING he is capable of. He might not have done it yet, but this is what he IS capable of doing."
That makes sense. Sort of.
"Infinite number of realties, infinite number of possibilities." Asia spoke up, earning many looks, "If there really is an infinite number of realties, then ever possibility is possible, right?"
That was true, even if it was said before, it was still a hard pill to sallow.
"He found her by the coastline, and this building nearby-" As Wiz said this, an image of the building appeared, "looks a lot like the Consolidated Edison Plant between 14th and 15th street. That's about two miles away."
"And as a thank you for savin' her, she shot Carnage in the head." Boomstick said, "Well fine, save your own ass next time lady."
"Seeing who it is that saved her, can't really blame her for shooting." Rumi said, not agreeing with the woman's actions but not dissing them either.
"Eh, he was fine." Wiz said, "Carnage's durability doesn't come from a sturdy built. Instead, it comes his form is malleable and somewhat fluid. Technically his human body still exists somewhere in that massive blood flesh and writhing tenacles, but even when he was hit by a train, struck by a missile or blasted apart by a tritium bomb, he can always just pull himself back together."
"The more i hear of his regeneration, the more I'm reminded of that giant bird dude at the USJ." Sato said to Tokoyami, who nodded.
"Indeed." The bird headed boy closed his eyes, "This Carnage is not someone to take lightly or be trifled with that for certain."
"Brothers, can you image if a Grimm had that kind of power?" Nebula shivered at the thought. That was the stuff of nightmares.
"So long as there's a piece of him still around: Given the size of that blast, it looks like Carnage survived a blast worth 125 of TNT." Boomstick said, as the screen showed the mentioned blast.
"Very impressive." Wiz said, "Also, he once smothered and survived a gene bomb designed to wipe out all of humanity expect mutants."
Those that hated mutants narrowed their eyes at this piece of information but said nothing, not wanting to start a pointless.
"He's even survived getting ripped in half and thrown into space." Boomstick said, "Seriously, what kills this guy?"
"Well, he does share the same weakness as other symbiotes." Wiz said, "Namely extremely loud noises and heat."
"So, by that logic, Endeavor, Todoroki, Present Mic and anyone else who uses fire or sound bases attacks could be extremely effective against Carnage." Izuku spoke, writing down the weakness for Carnage.
"So, fire dust would also be very effective against not just Carnage but other symbiotes." Port mused to himself, "Good to know."
"So, to beat this thing, Lord Mazoku would need to either use loud sounds or extreme heat to permanently hurt him." Izuku mused to himself, "However his regeneration is stronger than Lord Mazoku's and is almost instant healing, so it would be very difficult to inflict lasting damage. So really, it's not about who can hit the hardest, it's-"
"About whom can deal the killing blow first." Xero finished for Izuku, stepping back into the viewing room with Eri, Medea and Mikasa in tow. The dark-haired teen had switched out of his battle/traveling gear with a simple black sleeveless shirt with big bold words that matched his humor. It read: "IT WAS ME, I LET THE DOGS OUT", much to the amusement of many. He wore black pants and black slip-on shoes. His hair was let out of any restraint, allowing it to flow freely down his back, giving him a more relaxed look, even if it remained curly.
It suited him.
However, it was Eri that caught everyone's attention, namely the fact she had just the biggest smile on her face. She wore a purple long sleeve shirt with a black dress over it, black leggings and a smaller pair of slip-on shoes. But what was most eye catching, aside from her beaming smile, was the fact she had a black choke collar around her neck and attached to it, was a half red, half blue rosary with a purple jewel in the middle of it. The rosary was even had runes inscribed into it.
Very much like Xero's, only different color scheme.
Mikasa had switched out of her normal uniform, for a more conformable clothing, like Xero. Well, one really couldn't call it clothing as Mikasa wore nothing more than a purple sports bra that hugged her upper body quite nicely and a pair of equally purple sweatpants with slip on shoes. Having very little care for how others saw her, when this outfit was all, they could find for her, after her old one had been ripped apart by her new lover, Mikasa couldn't find it in herself to care.
Not that anyone else would care, as they could clearly see Mikasa well-toned, well-defined body and impressive six pack abs. Ones that had many of the younger men blushing up a storm and drooling from a certain yellow/purple pervert. Hell, it had many of the older men, save for a few to blush and even females that were played for the same team, were unaware of their sexuality or just curious.
People like Jaune and Izuku were so red, it looked like they're faces were ready to pop off their shoulders from the sight of Mikasa.
Not that I can blame them.
"Hey boss, here." Kiana tossed Grudge back to Xero, who caught it with one hand and placed it back in his pocket dimension, making it vanish before everyone's eyes. Ignoring the wide eyes of either shock, amazement and or otherwise, Xero picked up from where he left off.
"In all fairness, long ranged fighters had the best chance at beating Carnage, seeing as how deadly he can be up close and personal. But those that use sound or fire like the ones you mentioned have a much higher chance at winning against the bastard. But seeing as i completely vaporized the bastard during our battle, it hardly matters. Anyway, Jen i'm going to need your help when we get back to Earth, you take adoption cases, right?"
The woman known as She-Hulk blinked before nodding, "Er, yeah. I mean i not often but i can. Wait, when Gudako said-"
"Yep." Grinning, Xero dropped to his knees, planting both hands on Eri's shoulders and said, "Met the newest member of our family, Eri Mazoku!" Even if she was painful shy and scared of just about everything, the small girl couldn't help but wave at everyone as she heard her new papa call her 'Eri Mazoku'. Overhaul didn't even allow her the simplest thing like being called a human being or even having a family, let alone a family name. So, to hear her papa openly say that, making sure everyone heard it, filled her up with such happiness that her normally skittish behavior was all but forgotten.
She was just so happy to be scared.
"Not to be a downer but given what her...'quirk' is, are you sure that's a good idea kid?" Logan asked, brows furrowing as he said Quirk. What an odd word, but whatever.
"I am aware of her power and that's what this is for." Xero said, washing away his worry, as the younger man flicked Eri's rosary, "Overhaul had created prefect bullets from Eri's blood, one that can take away abilities and one that can give back their power." As he said this, Xero pulled out two small casing, opening them both, revealing three red and three blue shaped bullets with thin needles at the end of them, "It was original five but using two bullets each, the Lady of the Forge was able to synthesis Eri this rosary. One that will not only dampen her rewind, so not only will it not go out of control but will act as a sort of training wheels for her. Enabling her to train with it, till it comes to the point this rosary is nothing more than just a pretty necklace. Not to mention, the Lady was able to add my own blood into the rosary, so it will not only alert me if my daughter is in danger, but the ins also built defenses will active, and it will..." Xero chuckled darkly at this, "Well, let's just say that it won't end well for the fu-idiot that dares to hurt my little unicorn."
Go ahead, try and attack Eri. See what happens.
It went unsaid, as it didn't need to be said. By this point, everyone knew that Xero was the type of person to cover all his bases in just about everything that would need covering or should be covered.
"So that means-"
"Yep, that means Steve and Logan are no longer the oldest members of the Avengers, it's you dad." The Magus's grin was nothing short of shit eating as he grinned at Tony, much to the man's horror, "Those two don't even have any children yet you have a GRANDDAUGHTER, making YOU old. Better check for those dreaded gray hairs, I think I'm starting to see some form."
The look of absolute horror on his father's face had Xero ready to bust a lung laughing, but held it in, as Eri looked at Tony then back to him, the question clears on her cute face, "Papa, is he-"
"Yep. That's your grandfather Eri, my father and the woman next to him is Pepper, your grandma as well." He patted her back, "Don't be shy, they won't bite. Go on, say hi."
The white/sliver haired child took a very, very small step towards Pepper, barely looking up at her, as she muttered put a, "Hello." Before she ducked behind Xero's leg, not feeling comfortable about being the center of attention.
Not minding this, Pepper knelt down the same way her son in everything, but blood had and smiled kindly at the horned girl, "Hello Eri. It's nice to meet you." She held out her hand for Eri to take, as the small girl slowly but surely shook it, if only for a spilt second before hiding behind her father once more.
"Eh, work in progress." Rather than be angry, as part of Eri feared, her papa merely shrugged his shoulders, before picking her up, much to her delight and head back to their seats. All the while Tony was bugging Bruce and making sure he didn't have any gray hairs, even when the shorter man told him, he didn't, the Man of Iron still keep pestering him about it.
"We'll introduce you to the rest of the family after this viewing Eri." He told his newly minted daughter, who had buried her head into his shoulder, causing Xero to rub her head, "Don't worry Eri. I know your scared but trust me, they're nice and none would do anything to hurt you, okay?"
The little girl said nothing, merely nodding against his shoulder, making him sigh a little, as Gudako shot him a look that said, 'What can you do?' Not much it seemed. Baby steps Xero, baby steps.
Getting into his seat, with Eri settling into his lap and Mikasa seating next to him on his right, Medea took the left. Allowing himself to relax a little, the video started again, finishing Cranage's bio, even as Tony's mind still needed to reboot after being called grandpa by his new granddaughter.
Boy that is going to take some getting used too.
"Carnage has been through a lot, but with two minds as one, he always gets back up to do what he loves." Wiz said.
"I'm guessing it's not gardening." Ymir snarked, as Connie spoke.
"You never know, it could be. Even psycho killer's need a hobby." That earned a few laughs, as it was true but very unlikely.
"Murder, murder and Ya know, more murder." Boomstick said, as the screen changed to show Cletus in his cell, facing Eddie.
"When I get out of here, there's going to be Carnage."
All in all, everyone found Carnage one deadly foe, even knowing his weakness, he was indeed a force to be reckoned with. Though, people like Cinder and Raven believed they could beat him easily due to their fire magic, Cinder more so, since that was her preferred method of attack with her magic. Most of the soldiers of SHEILD however felt like they could beat Carnage but only with their new equipment like the Thunder Spears and their new energy shields. The Thunder Spears to burn the bastard and the energy shields to protect them from being grabbed, as even with the ODM gear, there was a very good chance the red symbiote would still be able to grab them during a fight.
Which wouldn't end well for them.
Needless to say, those that were close quarters fighters didn't feel very confident they could defeat Carnage, unless they got the drop on him, which woul dbe very, very difficult to do so.
Oh well, thank God he was already defeated.
But for people with the power to wield fire, like Endeavor and his son, they believed he could easily defeat this monster, including Bakugo, who's Quirk's produced fire to create his explosions. Yang and Weiss also felt like they could defeat the blood-soaked monster with their fire Dust. After if Xero could do it, why couldn't they?
"All right, the combats are set, it's time to end this debate once and for all." Wiz said, using his usual line.
"It's time for a DEEEEETTAAAHHHHH BBBBBAAATTTTLLLLEEEEE!" Boomstick cheered, eager to see some, well, cranage.
"Son of a bitch, I now understand why God made Jeanne the Holy Maiden." The scene changed to show a stormy night, with heavy rain fall as Xero stepped around the old train yard, trying not to limp too badly, as he kept an eye out, looking for his quarry. All the while he adjusted his pants, feeling the fabric cling to his nearly shattered pelvis.
Medea had made this outfit, so it would not only be the ideal battle attire, but it would adjust magically to his current size. There it would be tight to stop his clothing from getting caught on things but not too tight to prevent movement or cut off blood circulation. Plus, it looked good on him and fit him very well, style wise so that was always a good thing.
"Yep, style is very important." Tony said with a proud smile on his face, his mind finally rebooting and focusing on other things, "Good to see Ms. Witch has a good sense of style."
"I actually asked him what he would like, and Xero told me." Medea off handily said, calling Xero by his name. Seeing as they were far more than just master and Servant now, it was inevitable. Not that Xero minded, as it was both, a sign of affection and more importantly, trust. "Something that was simple but effective, good to wear but simple to put on was easy enough to make."
"But wouldn't his long hair be something a person would reach for?" Neena asked, "No offense boss but your hair is longer than mine and, in a fight, that just screams grab and rip me off."
"Oh, i got that covered." Xero smirked, as he tapped the back of his neck, at the base where his skull met his spine, "I have a defense Rune placed on here, so when someone touch's my hair without permission, they're in for one very cold shock."
"Clever." Hawks said, while he was internally shaken to see Kiana again AND learn many of the HPSC (Hero Public Safety Commission) dark secrets, he decides to put that aside for the moment. He wasn't naive nor was he stupid to see just how DEEP, how FAR the HPSC would go to keep its secrets, what they would do to their own had shaken the winged hero. It made him wonder, in the deepest, darkest corners of his mind, wonder if that would do that to him one day.
But those dark thoughts were best left to learn about, another day. Now was the time to learn everything he could about their new enemies and, allies?
At the very least, they had a common enemy.
Clearly God understood that there was a hidden Succubus within Jeanne and was trying to spar any poor soul that attempted to court her. Their wedding night might have been that poor sod's last; it was almost his! Okay sure, his first time was with Jalter, seeing as that woman refused to lose anything to her original self, but damnit, if she wasn't just as bad as her original self!
But by the goddess, it was bloody damn well worth it! Though it was still kind of awkward to ask his father for a new bed, seeing as their late-night actives had caused his original one to...collapse.
"Can't deny that." Xero off scene shrugged, smiling a little to himself. Most teens probably would have been blushing madly, shuttering or looking away but not Xero.
Why?
Because he wasn't some stuttering newbie to this game and two years of having near constant sex with over fifty women, plus fifteen beds later, he had finally found the right amount of reinforcement he needed to apply to his bed, in order to keep if from dying via sex.
Lots and lots of sex.
He was aware of all the teens eyes on him, but he ignored it, petting Eri's head, making the small girl melt in his lap, thankfully not really paying attention to the things being said. Thank the Goddess, he didn't want to answer certain questions she would have.
Though he didn't miss the looks of both admiration and jealousy most of the younger teenage boys sent him about the mention of him breaking the bed via sex. It was the consequence of being young and hormonal, some wanted to be on top, to be cool, be the best or even be considered manly. Which most teenagers believe that is achieved through sex, as proof of your manhood or it is the end result. The reward of being the best gets you sex. Or just jealous due to the effects of low self-esteem, arrogance or seeing someone either their age or younger or older by a year or two seemly scoring so easily is a slap in the face to those with low self-esteem.
The jealous looks were mostly from Jaune, Neptune, Menita and Kaminari just to name a few.
Jaune was understandable, despite him attempting to better himself, he was still just a kid. He was trying to run before he learned to walk, and Neptune was the 'cool dude' thus, he did not like to be shown up by someone who didn't have aura. It was a culturally thing, and one Xero chose to ignore, it was hardly his problem.
Not to mention it was a waste of his brain cells thinking about, like trying to understand racism. The idea and concepts of racism's understanding was something beyond even his big brain's ability to comprehend, to understand and care for. Hating someone for something they couldn't control or so little details like religion was just stupid to him.
Xero personally believed action spoke louder than words but that was just his opinion.
But moving on, the last two, they were just idiots and perverts, no more needed to be said.
It didn't help that it wasn't just Jeanne that he was screwing at the time. It was actually Jalter who took his first time, and she wanted him to help her sever the final ties to their shared, miserable past. But of course, like some sort of bloodhound, Saber Alter caught wind of it and joined in, not wanting to be upstaged by her rival/enemy/friend.
It was honestly hard to tell these days just what they were to each other.
Everyone looked at Xero with either awe/nods of respect or jealously. Well, they better buckle up, because it wasn't over yet.
But naturally it didn't stop there, as MARIA, both Rider and Caster, of all people seemly knew JUST when to walk into their mini orgy with Astolfo, D'eon, Anastasia, Artoira Alter Lancer, Otika Alter, Medusa, Mash and Irisviel of all people came into their room and ended up joining too.
So yeah, Xero ended up screwing thirteen people, releasing over a decade worth of pent-up lust, frustration and ended up spending the equivalent of three days in bed. The room they were in had been modified to be a space all on its own, meaning that three days were nothing more than three hours outside of the room, out in the real world.
"Wow, seriously?!" Nora yelled, eyes wide, "You have a room like that?!"
"Yep." Xero nodded, "Although it takes time and energy to maintain, least the small space collapse in on itself, the room itself is a goddess send. It's how i am able to get so many things done within a short time, as it can be used as a workshop, private room or even a way to speed up training even. Though given what it is, it needs a constant source of energy in order to be maintained, so i was only able to create one within Stark tower or, er Avengers tower now, i guess. Seeing as we modified the Arc Reactor to not only run the tower itself, but using the same method Chaldea used, we were able to have mana implanted within the Arc Reactor to generate mana, i don't have to worry about using my own."
"Sounds really handy and very useful." Fury said, as Xero nodded.
"It is."
The only reason he didn't die, via sex was more than likely his Yoma genes working overtime. His monster side gave not just him but all Mazoku's very high/monstrous libido's, which is one of the reasons why it's common for members of his clan to have multiple partners at a time. Be they man or woman, there's a very good chance one partner simply wouldn't satisfy them.
Asia let out a sigh of relief when Xero-sama didn't seem to mentally think of her. Thank God, oh the things she did in that room were so-
Oh and he almost forgot Asia was added into the mix on the behest of Maria.
Said blonde froze, realizing she was about to be outed, as her face began to turn red. She covered her face with her hands in a vain attempt to hide her embarrassment, as many eyes turned to her.
"Out of all the people i expected to be so needy and kinky, Asia was NOT among them." Xero mused to himself, smiling whimsically, "I guess it's true what they say: Its always the quite ones." Though in all fairness, Asia was anything but quiet. He never would have guessed that tiny little blonde had a hidden-
"XERO-SAMA WHY?!" Said blonde cried in despair, now completely red from the tips of her ears to the roots of her hair. She tried to glare at him but only succussed in matching Ruby's red cloak. Her master/lover merely shrugged his shoulders, idly running his hands through Eri's hair, much to her delight.
"Not my fault you're so pent up, I'm just calling it as a I see it blondie but there's nothing wrong with it. Repressing your sexually desires and trying to ignore them isn't healthy for you. Both psychically and mentally."
"Disgusting." Weiss spoke, snorting her nose up, "I have no idea how you deviants save anyone." The way she spoke made Asia flinch, but only made Gudako roll her eyes at her, as did Xero, which promoted for Gudako to speak.
"I understand that Atlas is full of stuck up, assholes that scoff at anything that they considered 'below you' but like it or not, sex is completely natural. It's not only natural but having sex regularly can not only improve your attitude, but it can improve your work ethic, abilities and overall improve your performances in life altogether, even give you confidence too. But don't take it from me, Banner and Recovery Girl also know it's true, seeing as their doctors, they can say with absolute certainty." The red head then looked at the mentioned two, "Isn't that, right?"
The short man looked like a deer caught in headlights, while the even shorter woman answered for both of them, "While i wouldn't exactly word it like that, studies have shown that sex is extremely beneficial to our health. Sex activates a variety of neurotransmitters that impact not only our brains but several other organs in our bodies. The benefits of sex for women including lower blood pressure among other things. That and it can in fact revile stress as well, so yes, having sex is in fact good for one's health."
"Yeah, i might not be that kind of doctor, but Ms. Recovery Girl said is true and it's a known fact." Bruce said, before muttering under his breath, "Well for most people at any rate."
"It's true Miss Schnee." Penny said, helpfully, "My research into the topic has indeed revealed that having regular relations regularly with a partner can do wondrous for one's health."
Weiss merely huffed, looking away, unable to say anything after Penny just pitched in with her own input, saying that sex is a good thing and not the gross act it was. Growing up, all Weiss learned about sex was that it was procreation and nothing more. All the while Winter glared at the redhead but said nothing. She was thinking along the same thoughts as her sister but said nothing, not wanting to get into a pointless argument.
"Well, that explains why Uncle Qrow is always in a cranky mood, he's not getting any!" Yang however saw a chance to burn her uncle and got a round of laughter for it.
"What's that?" Qrow said, putting a hand to his ear, as if he was having trouble hearing, "I could have sworn my dear, sweet eldest niece said she wanted me to make her eat dirt during our next spar? Is that true Yang, you want me to bury your stupid face in the dirt?"
That shut Yang up, but she was still smiling. Totally worth it.
"Can we please move on?" Glynda spoke, having enough of listening to this, as everyone quieted down, save for a blood crying Menita, as Pixie Bob was staring at the Magus with a large blush, with her teammates hovering behind her. Ready to stop her from doing something she regret later on.
Not that the more innocent heroes, namely the students were blushing up a storm at the casual conversation of sex and how it was actually healthy for you. Even if the duo perverts were feeling jealous course through their veins like acid it was blood, that didn't stop heroes like Midnight from feeling a certain amount of heat run up her spine.
All this take of sex was making her and a select few a little hot under the collar~
When he finally came out, Xero most certainly needed a way to work out the kinks, stiffness in his lower waist and almost broken bones. That and even with all the showers he took, the stench of sex lingered on him, and he had no desires to get into any awkward conversion with his father or Miss Pepper.
Mostly Miss Pepper.
"For good reason." Pepper said, ignoring Tony's pouting, as Natasha shook her head.
"Well, at least Xero's more considerate than his father." Even if she only worked for Stark for less than a year and he was getting better, Natasha was well aware of Tony's pervious flings. That man would bang anything that bat its eyelashes at him but since his marriage to Pepper, he's actually proven himself to be better for it.
Well, okay that wasn't the only reason, as Xero was fully aware that some of his Servants got jealous easy. So easily in fact, that they would want their own turn and way with him, once they realized after a decade, he was finally giving into his desirers. That is not to say he didn't want to, oh no, Xero was more than willingly to reciprocate the same love Jeanne and the others had for him but for Goddess's sake, he needed to walk around first!
Needed to move after three days of doing nothing but laying on his back! He was good, but he wasn't THAT good!
"Thank the Goddess for my foresight." Xero thought to himself idly, as he covered little Eri's ears from his own inner thoughts, not wanting the little girl to get wired ideas in her little head, "Well foresight and the fact these are my memories." Whatever.
He ignored the looks he was getting, fully aware of them and uncaring for them. Hey, it was his sex life and they wanted to know everything about him, well here you go. Don't complain if you hear and see parts you don't like.
"Also master, this will prevent Robyn Hill from attempting to blackmail you into working with her or giving her a share of your power." Merlin's obnoxious voice filtered through his mind, making him grimace. Yeah, evidently the new arrivals of the Happy Huntress, Merlin foresaw them attempting to blackmail him.
He wasn't the type of person to put too much stock in future visions, unless all the actions of a person took lined up to leading them down said path, then he would believe it. But Xero wouldn't put someone to death based on hearsay. Unless he had concrete evidence, motive and their actions steered them towards that future, then he would believe Merlin's vision, even though she has never been wrong.
Clairvoyant is a terrifying ability to have after all and while he wouldn't put so faith in it, that didn't mean he couldn't use it as a reference of sorts. He just had to be careful how much faith he put into that possible future, as if one tries to prevent a prophecy, that is exactly what will happen.
At least that's what he believed.
Thankful or well, not exactly good but it gave him something to do and a good reason to get out of the tower for a while. At least long enough for the stench of sweat and sex to wash off. The Reason:
Earlier, Yuriko aka Yuri, had asked him to help the police hunt down a psycho mass murdered that seemed to kill at random for no other reason than just for the simple thrill of the kill. Seeing as how nearly a hundred people had died in the spam of two days, Janet did not waste any time in calling him for help.
"Ladies and gentlemen, what we are dealing with is a nothing short of a high tier psycho, one very sick dog. One that doesn't kill just because he wants to but has a pathological need to kill people in the most brutalist way possible. Send more officers after him and all Ya'll be doing is sending lamb to slaughter, so it's my recommendation is to put this dog down. HARD."
Those were his words to Yuri and Police Commissioner Stacy. He wasn't trying to insult them, but the cold hard truth was that sending more officers would only die a needless death. Xero hated that kind of thing and hated wasting even more.
No, it be better if he went and dealt with this sick dog himself.
Many of the heroes and heroes in training frowned at this train of thought but said nothing. Some, like Aizawa and Nezu could agree with Xero words on his psychological profile of Carnage. Given what they on his background, it was hard to argue with it.
Like it or not, Cletus with the Carnage Symbiote was extremely dangerous and had to be stopped.
"Master, its late." Then, within the depths of his mind and through the deep bond they shared, Xero heard Emyia's voice as clear as day, "Should call it in soon. I don't think we'll find our killer tonight."
Xero 'hummed' but otherwise, didn't disagree with the Archer. He and Spider-Man had been sreaching high and low with several of his Assassin's combing through the city but couldn't find the slippery fucker. A mass murdered with a need to chop thing he might be but damn, could this killer hide.
Maybe it was indeed time to pack it in for the night.
"That isn't actually too surprising." Izuku spoke, "He might be a murdered but he's smart enough to lay low long enough or go somewhere else entirely to avoid being found."
"I would say that is true but it's not Izuku." Blinking, the green haired boy looked to Xero, who nudge his head towards the screen, "Keep watching and you'll find out that it was nothing more than just pure, dumb luck that i wasn't able to find his ugly mug."
"Besides, if this guy has a pathologic need to kill, he wouldn't be able to stay under the radar for long." Kiana added her own two cents. "The harder it is to kill someone, the more likely the killer will go after them. Bigger fish, a greater challenge and all that. Killing might be fun for him but surely he'll get board of people who can't fight back and will go for a much bigger catch."
The rain pelleted Xero's face, but he didn't care, as he actually enjoyed the feel of the rain washing over him. The way it slides down his face, the scent of the storm itself and most of all, the lighting and thunder. Strange as it sounded, lighting had always intrigued him to no end and now years later, lighting itself had become one of his greatest magics.
Irony.
"Seeing as lighting is raw power, it's no surprise." Father Vincent said, "Even among magic, lighting is one of the most powerful and hardest magics to master. Its why Lady Ringo is considered one of the deadliest Magus on the planet. Even if Lord Mazoku is considered one of the strongest Magus of his generation, Lady Ringo is one of the strongest in history." The bald man explained, seeing the questions everyone had and explained it before they could ask.
The sound of the train arriving confirmed his thought process but before he could leave, his enhanced hearing picked up the sound of...screaming?
Turning his attention to the train, Xero's eyes widen as he saw blood splattering against the windows and the lights flickering, like one would expect to see in a horror movie.
"The fuc-"
He didn't get to finish his sentence, as the slaughter finished, the doors opened up to reveal, Venom? The creature hunched over, turned its ugly head to him and Xero quickly realized that no, this was NOT Venom. For one, the creature was completely red, not the ink black he was used to but a deep, dark red.
Red like blood.
The second was sheer amount of bloodlust coming off this creature. Yeah, most certainly NOT Venom.
"Well he looks like a friendly fellow." Ursula said dryly, earning some laughs, as Eri whimpered at the sight of the creature, burying herself further in her new papa.
"Creepy." Mina shuddered at the sight of the blood covering symbiote.
The creature, SYMBIOTE, looked up at Xero and launched at him, "GOT YOU!" It, he yelled only for him to catch...a mirage? Cranage blinked as the Xero in front of him seemly vanished into thin air, much to his confusion and annoyance. "HEY, WHAT GIVES?"
"Well, if you wanted to get yourself killed so badly, I'll be more than happy to obligate." Xero's voice rang out from behind Carnage, as he loaded Joy Colt with explosive rounds.
FIGHT
(Play: Fate/Extella Link - OST. 10 - Last Stand)
Before Carnage could react, Xero fired three rounds, causing several loud "BOOMs" to be heard, as Carnage's arm, leg and even his head came clean off his body, after exploding into three chunks of flesh.
"Explosive rounds?!" Ruby all but squealed in delight, "You have explosive rounds?!"
"That's fucking awesome!" Bakugo grinned, eager to see more explosions.
"I do." Xero smirked, "After all, we one needs a bigger boom, I'm the guy people come to get a bigger boom." He then sighed, annoyed, "Should have known better that, this wouldn't be enough to put him down."
"Well, at least he's got some good music going." Jiro spoke to Momo, who nodded. The music was indeed fitting and something good to listen to, watching the fight.
Cranage, despite being in three pieces, laughed like a manic, "NOT ENOUGH." The red symbiote quickly put himself back together, in showcase of advanced regeneration that only made Xero raise an eyebrow in response.
"So, a regenerator, eh? This might be actually interesting then." Xero grinned a little, happy to see this creature not going down so easily. It's been a while since he had fought such a creature.
"Master, maybe we shou-"
"No." Xero caught off Fergus, as he active his Wind Force State, causing a powerful wind tunnel to appear around him, making his hair wavey and for his feet to rise a couple of inches off the ground, "There is no need for any of you to be deal with something so trivial. Besides, it's been a while since I've had the chance to fight something that doesn't immediately die after i throw the first punch. And besides," Clocking Joy Colt and storing it in his pocket dimension, "I have the sneaking suspicion this one isn't like Venom and more like Riot. Meaning fire and loud noises won't be enough to put this monster down, as it showed with my bullets barely slowing him down. However, if i can hit the human part of better yet rip the bastard from his symbiote and if not, oh well. No real skin off my back, Yuri did say I had permission to use deadly force."
"That is true, my student." His teacher, Scathach suddenly spoke up, a bit of pride in her voice, as she said, "If my master says he can beat this thing on his own, then I say, let him handle it."
As the rest of the Servants mulled over his decision, some not very happy about their beloved master fighting alone, Cranage, not wasting anytime started to viciously attack Xero with quick, deadly slash's. All proven ineffective, as none were able to slip past Xero's wind tunnel defense. Every time he hit Xero's wind, his attacks were sliced into multiple pieces, but were just as quickly regenerated as they were cut off, much to the symbiote's anger.
"WHY CAN'T I HIT YOU?!"
"Fuck you, that's why!" Xero answered, earning several laughs, as he started a new attack. "WIND BLADE!" He then launched a wind blade at him, slicing the monster in half, only for him to quickly pull himself back together. Angry at seeing his attack not working, Cranage roared and webbed his way behind Xero, only for the Reaper to use a new attack, "SPLICING WINDS!" Several blades of wind came hurling towards Cranage, who created a face shield to block it, only to fail, as the beast is once more torn apart and flung back into the concrete wall.
"Pssft! Hahahahaha!" Hange and several others started laughing at the scene of Cranage's so called 'shield'. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry but, hahaha, w-was, did he just make his own FACE a shield?" Hange keeps laughing, clutching her stomach at the sheer ridiculousness of the scene. Many, even Eri giggled at the sight, despite fearing for her Papa's life.
"D-dude, did Cranage seriously make his own face a shield?" Sun asked, still laughing at the sight, as Xero nodded.
"He did, which to be honest made it much easier to hit him. Seeing as i couldn't stand his ugly face, even more so when he stretched it beyond its hideous limits."
That earned more laughs, as a certain Miss Khan and Albain brothers silently watched on, wondering what they're next move should be. As were the Happy Huntress, who were only now coming to grips with just what kind of situation they were in...and how they could use it, to further their own cause.
Irina throughout the fight, was watching with wide eyes, seeing all the things her sensei could do with just two spells. He told her that he would teach her everything he could but still, seeing it in action was...humbling and exciting. Who knew wind magic could be so deadly and cool?!
Irina never knew she could use wind like this!
Cranage, not deterred in the slightest, quickly webbed himself away from Xero's line of sight, causing the young man to cautiously look around for the blood soaked symbiote. As he did this, he spoke to Jarvis, "J, is it just me or is this bastard's healing getting faster and faster the more i slice him up?"
His Focus came to lite, circling Xero's field of vision with 3D imaging, blue/purple lights, "I'm afraid so young sir." Jarvis said, concern coloring his tone, as it played back images of Xero's wind slicing Cranage at both vital points and joints, "Even with your magic, it will not be enough to kill this creature. From what we have gather from Mr. Venom and Mr. Brock, i believe this kind of symbiote is different from the one you faced in San Francisco."
"So pretty." Mei couldn't get over how beautiful that one, tiny baby was yet so advanced at the same time. Capable of so much with so little effort on the user's part. Mei HAD to wrangle the secrets out of the teen. One way or another, Mei Hatsume would HAVE that Focus!
In the theater, Xero felt a shiver run up his spine, like Death herself was hanging over his head.
"Oh boy, this can't be good."
"Right." Xero frowned, as a sliver symbiote appeared in his mind, "Just like Drake and Riot."
"Those two again." Mandalay spoke, "Who are they exactly, if you don't mind me asking?"
"It's no problem." Eddie said, as he answered her question, "An asshole named Calton Drake had his company bring four of the symbiotes to Earth on some sort of Luner mission, Venom included. Six months prior, we were just a news reporter and when we attempted to expose Drake's company, the Life Foundation for the horrible crimes they committed, i got fired."
"So, basically the cliche of the news reporter doing his job and big bad companies burying him for it?" Rumi guessed, as Eddie nodded.
"Pretty much. Months later, one of their workers got cold feet, told me what they were doing with Venom's kind and how they were experimenting on homeless people to further their research." At the words, experimenting, Nezu clenched his paws as phantoms pain ran through his body, but he stayed quiet, letting Eddie speak, "There, I met Venom and we...bonded."
"Bonded?" Gran Torino questioned, with a raised eyebrow, "Bonded how?"
"Getting a symbiote isn't as easy as you think." Eddie said, "Think of it like a fingerprint in a way. Each symbiote is unique, no two symbiotes are alike and is the same as finding a host for a symbiote. The host and symbiote need to have a, how to say this, a sort of innate ability. Something that is unique to that person, as a symbiote cannot just bond with anyone. Most of the would-be host, the homeless people i mentioned, were rejected. But unlike most rejections, this kind of rejection quite literally kills you, if you aren't compatible with the symbiote. Basically, ripping the host from the inside out if, causing the would be host to die in a very painful, slow manner."
"Are you serious?" Seinna Khan blanched at the mental image Eddie painted and he wasn't done yet.
"Very." The brown-haired man frowned, as he remembers Maria and her final moments. Before, he hated and blamed Venom for her death before he realized who was the one to truly blame, "Darke was trying to find a suitable host for the symbiotes and while I was investigating the sight, i bonded with Venom, that's when i became 'we'. But knowing we couldn't stop Drake on our own, seeing as the bastard basically had his own private army, we went looking for help."
"And that's how you're sweaty, smelly ass ended up in the restaurant I was enjoying lunch with my son and wife." Tony finished, not as peeved as the wording would have suggested. Admittedly, it was his twelve-step plan to bond with the son he didn't know he had and ended up in a cross-country fight to not only save the world from an alien invasion but to save an old friend, once thought to be dead.
Only that old friend was basically now like a hundred years old, just like Capsicle.
"However, by the time we returned to the Life Foundation, Drake had bonded with Riot, leading us to a huge fight." Venom spoke, forming his head over Eddie's shoulder, "We would have most certainly died, had Zee not finished him off. Drake had gone mad with power, like many would expect of a corporate asshole gaining power, but that's all-ancient history. So, let's get back to this epic fight."
That everyone could agree with and turned their attention back to the video. Which Venom was thankful for, as he did leave out the part where his kind planned to invade Earth and take it over, only for Venom himself to have a change of heart. No need for anyone to know that no sir.
The Magus didn't have much time to think on this, as an AXE CAME DOWN ON HIS SIDE!
CLING
Xero felt his body move. right due to the sheer amount of force behind Cranage's attack but seeing the flying blood told him that his attack was not one without sacrificing a limb.
CLING
Sadly, that did not stop the second axe that came down on his RIGHT side, forcing Xero to the side once again, forcing the Mazoku to pump more mana into his Force State, his sixth sense telling him something much worse was coming.
CLING
Which was proven right, as Cranage had once again shown his ugly mug with a frontal attack, only this time to hit the Mazoku with TWO axe hands, attempting to bypass his wind and slice his arms off. But it ultimately failed to do so. But not before he hit Xero with enough force to launch Xero back himself, into an abandoned train.
"Papa no!" Eri cried out, clutching her papa tighter, as Xero rubbed her head, whispering reassures in her ear, as his father and mother clutched their arm rests.
"This isn't good." Iida spoke, moving his arm up and down, like a robot he most certainly was, "Cranage has gained the upper hand and with his advanced healing, he able to shrug off any attack Lord Mazoku throws his way. Knowing what he can do, Lord Mazoku can't afford to allow Cranage to grab him, otherwise, it could mean defeat."
"Indeed, but Lord Mazoku's defenses prevent Cranage from being able to hurt him at the same time." Shoji said, crossing his multiple arms, "No matter how you look at it, as things stand the way they are, it's a stand still."
"Till master decides to stop screwing around and end it." Olga finished.
"Wouldn't change anything." Vernal whispered spitefully, knowing better than to speak up, least she gets blasted with glares and KI again. She was hoping in futile that the sliver-streaked bastard would die, as this already happened but hey, a girl can dream right.
Xero groaned, as he barely stopped himself from hitting the train with his back, as he landed on the ground with one hand and knee. Groaning a little, he spoke mostly to himself, "Alright, that one hurt, asshole."
Xero shook his head and locked eyes on his target once more, just in time to see Cranage carrying... two concrete pillars?! Goddess, where the hell did, he get those?!
"Did he just break them off somewhere?" Jaune questioned, eyes widening at the sight of the two pillars, seriously where the hell did, he get them?
"I don't know." Xero said simply, just as in the dark as Jaune.
"CATCH!" And like the massive asshole he was, Cranage threw the concrete pillars at Xero, causing the Magus to use his Wind Blade to slice the pillars. Seeing his attack fail, growing angry at this, Cranage unleashed a barrage of blood spikes from his chest, firing them at Xero like it was a rapid-fire machine gun.
"Shit! Thanks, but no thanks!" Throwing his arms forward, increasing the power of his Wind Force State to create a stronger barrier, around himself. But the force behind Cranage's attack slowly pushed Xero back, causing the Magus to dig his heels into the ground, attempting to stop the attack from getting him, "Just hold on!" Xero gritted his teeth, "He can't keep this up for long!" And sure enough, after several minutes of non-stop attack, Cranage ran out of blood spikes to attack him, giving Xero the opening, he needed to attack Cranage.
"GOT YOU NOW! Wind Tunnel Fist!"
Cranage didn't have time to realize what just happened, before he was launched back by a very powerful Wind Tunnel that quite literally came from his outstretched fist. From there, came a small, tunnel of wind in a cylinder monition that basically drilled its way into Cranage's stomach. The attack scrambled his inside and sending the monster into another decommissioned trains, thankfully.
"Is it over?" Yang asked, memorized at the sight of the two deadly beasts fighting one another. One doing everything he could to tear apart his opponent but unable to land even a starch, while the other was actually tearing his foe apart, but nothing seemed to stick.
From inside the destroyed train, Xero heard his foe's voice, "~It's raining/blood is spilling/YOU DON'T KILL CRANAGE/CRANAGE KILLS YOU~" The creepy way he sung told the Magus his quarry was far from finished.
"Okay, that is just plain creepy." Eren commented, earning nods from his squad mates. Cranage trying to sing wasn't exactly chalk on the walls bad but most certainly not the singer type, that's for certain.
"You might want to finish him off before this crazy fucker does something else, boss."
Xero mentally nodded at Kintoki's voice, first he would need to get out of Cranage's range and then switch to Lighting Force State. But to do that, he would need to lessen the gravity around him, enough to lift himself well out of Cranage's range and given his speed, he would need to use that same gravity to keep the asshole in place long enough to ensure death. While Xero doubted Cranage would be able to outrun the speed of sound itself, it never hurt to be absolutely certain that his finishing move would in fact finish this asshole for good.
To be honest, Hange found it be intriguing and strange to be able to SEE what her friend was thinking, even if he wasn't actually saying anything at all. Knowing that this already happened, it was just fascinating to the brown-haired woman to witness firsthand.
"MASTER, LOOK OUT!"
He heard Tamamo yell out, making Xero's look towards Cranage once again, only to see the bloody symbiote had manifested massive tendrils, ALL COMING FOR HIM! Without even thinking about it, Xero quickly summoned the wind around him, striking the oncoming tendrils, moving side to side to avoid the attacks.
The Tendrils came fast but each one was torn apart by his wind, narrowly hitting him but only to be torn apart by the winds surrounding his body. After slicing several up, Cranage showed no signs of slowing down or even stopping. The blood soaked symbiote keep striking at Xero from all sides, with two coming right for his head, making Xero narrow his eyes lightly. Ok, enough of this shit.
BOOM
Cancelling the gravity around him and slamming a small but powerful wind gust to his feet, Xero was able to lunach himself into the air and out of Cranage's range. Then the air change, as the storm grew more violent, with Xero's body covered in wind changed to a body covered in black/red lighting.
He was in Lighting Force State.
"It's over." Ozpin said, understanding that Cranage was now finished.
Cranage came out of the destroyed train, as lighting struck in front of him, destroying the train he existed in, causing him to look up in the sky, to see Xero staring down at him, "I don't know what caused you to become what you are today but quite frankly, i don't care."
"Jarvis, is there anyone else in the train yard?" He mentally used his Focus to text Jarvis, as the AI responded with a quick.
"None young sir."
"Good."
Now he didn't have to hold back. Cranage attempted to leap to Xero-
CRASH
Only to feel the gravity around him to increase drastically, slamming him onto the ground, preventing him from moving. Xero, hovering above him, lifted his hand up as lighting and thunder crackled all around him, "Now, disappear with the thunderclap." Xero moved his hand downward, making the gathering lighting within the clouds to responded in kind, all moving forward as one, creating a huge bolt of blue/white lighting.
"Okay, that was the most badass thing i have ever seen or heard." Sun said with stars in his eyes, as Kirishima nodded with an excited fist pump.
"Now that was a manly thing to say."
Cranage, stunk on the ground only had one thing to say, with a hard groan, "FUC-"
KA-BOOM
The screen panned out, showing the train yard from a short distance, as the resulting explosion could be seen for miles and with the sheer force of the attack, caused the rain clouds to dissipate as a result, letting the bright rays of the sun to shine through clearly. The screen changed again, to show Xero exist Lighting Force State, returning his body normal, as he slowly returned gravity to normal, causing him to be slowly brought back down to the ground.
On the ground once more, he saw a large crater and Cranage nowhere in sight.
"Is it over?" Yang asked again, unable to say anything else at the badass and epic end to the fight.
KO!
(Cues: Chorus of Cranage)
"Goddamn, now that's what i can a death battle!" Boomstick cheered, as did the audience.
"Papa, did you see that?! You won!" Eri cheered the loudest, smiling brightly and nearly causing several heart attacks. Seriously that smile should be registered as a lethal weapon. Xero was affected the most, being the target of that smile and it nearly gave him a heart attack but he was able to hold it together to smile back at her.
"Yes, i did Unicorn."
"True enough Boomstick." Wiz said, "Cranage might have been a dangerous foe, able to morph his body into anything he wanted and able to pretty much shrug off most attacks Xero was able to throw his way. However, Cranage might have been able to regenerate his wounds, he couldn't even land a single starch on Xero, as his defenses were simply too strong for him to breach."
"Though when old Reeps decide to stop messing around and bust out the Lighting, Cranage's fate was sealed." Boomstick commented.
"Cranage has been through quite, sure, but a lot but many of those events, like the gene bomb didn't happen in this timeline." Wiz said, "Even then it wasn't all that impressive, as Xero has faced off against GODS and won. True, he had helped but Xero has faced countless monsters with regeneration, morphing abilities and unwillingness to die. With his own experience in dealing with such monsters and his Focus to see weakness, it was simply a matter of who delivered the killing blow first."
"Looks like you were right Deku." The green haired boy nodded at his first friend's words. It felt nice to be right.
"What a shocking ending." Boomstick said with a smirk.
Many groaned at the pun, expect for the pun lovers, like Yang and Tony, who laughed at it.
"The winner is Xero." Wiz said, finishing the episode, as the screen went dark."
"Break time everyone." The Curator said, as the lights came back on, "I'm sure you all have plenty to talk about. I'll call you all back when the next video is ready to begin. Until then, you may go about your business as you please."
Done and holy hell, i was able to finish this before Sunday, damn that must be a new record.
But before i end this chapter, here comes a preview of Gudako's bio and will answer some of your questions on just what dear redhead are has done with her time in Chaldea and i think you'll like it. That and if i keep reading over the last mega-chapter, my eyeballs would have thrown up, just saying. So nothing else left to say but the original preview.

Preview: Meet The Fire Angel
"BUT IT WAS A TRAP!" Boomstick said dramatically, as he moved his hands towards the screen, "Play the scene Wiz."
"Indeed." Wiz said, frowning as the screen changed to show young Gudako and a Freddy controlled Xero entering the underground, "Deep within the underground of the Pizza plex was a long, dark buried secret. One that is what drawled them to this dark universe and one that is the key to understanding Security Breach."
"Oni-chan, what is this place?" Gudako asked, as she and the six foot tall robot looked around the odd room.
"I have no idea Gudako but i thin-"
Suddenly, the air grew cold and purple mist flooded the room, as the door slowly creeped open, Metal, clawed fingers gripped the metal door, slowly pushing it open, causing Gudako to tense and for Xero to...freeze?
"What is this?"
Xero couldn't explain it, he was using remote control to control Freddy, he wasn't really there, so how could he feel the cold air? How could he feel the dread in the air and why...why couldn't he move? Was this what fear felt like?
The door slowly opened with a loud 'CREAK' and ever so slowly, it opened further to reveal a burnt, decaying golden bonnie suit with what looked like an equally decaying human seemly fused with the suit itself. But one look at the creature's purple, glowing eyes, Xero knew who it was, it was undeniable. It was:
William Afton.
DUH, DUH, DDDDUUUUUUHHHHHH!
It's old Willy boy and are Xero and Gudako in FNAF Security Breach?!
How and why?!
Keep reading to find out, till next time my lovely peeps!
Devil out!
