Chapter 21:
Not One Of Us
Meanwhile, at the Castle, Twilight was still recovering from her injuries for they have been bandaged and tended to as well. Flash and Dusk were there to keep her company as she rests to heal. Dusk was still in disagreement when his mother told him that Ocellus has led her to an ambush.
"Mother, it can't be true," Dusk said as his mother began to wake.
Everybody from all over the kingdom gathered around after hearing what happened to Queen Twilight. But then they began to mutter a certain name as they turned to see a certain 'Traitor' approaching their way.
"It's Ocellus!" a female Dragon said with unhidden hatred as they all turned to see Ocellus coming.
Twilight was shocked to see Ocellus has come back but she wasn't happy about it, not after what happened today. Dusk, however, was relieved to see Ocellus made it back safely.
"Ocellus!" Dusk called out as he starts running to greet her back.
But Twilight interfered and whinnied at her son furiously, causing Dusk to stop and retreat. Twilight then heads to the balcony ready to pass on her judgement to the traitorous Alicorn.
Ocellus walks pass the crowd as some of the citizens began to mutter and back away from her. To them, seeing Ocellus with her new scar, she looks exactly like a reborn version of Chrysalis.
Furious to see Ocellus again, Rainbow Dash was the first to get all angry.
"Why I oughta! Let me at 'er! Let me at 'er! Pinkie hold me back!" Rainbow ordered, holding up her tail for Pinkie to hold on to.
"Okay, Dashie," Pinkie said, holding onto Rainbow's tail.
"Let me at 'er! Let me at 'er!" Rainbow shouted, doing some shadow-boxing.
"Okay!" Pinkie said, letting go of Rainbow's tail, causing the Pegasus to plop to the ground.
"Uh, Pinkie. You do know it was just an expression, right?" Rarity stated as she, Applejack, and Fluttershy looked at her deadpan.
"Oh," Pinkie realized.
By the time Ocellus made it through the crowd and made her way to the Castle, she stopped and looked up to see Twilight looking down at her with anger in her eyes.
"Why have you come back?!" Twilight demanded.
"Twilight, I have nothing to do with…" Ocellus tried to explain.
"You don't belong here!" Twilight interrupted.
"Please, I ask for your forgiveness," Ocellus pleaded, she wasn't truly responsible for what happened to Twilight, but she wished she could have done more to protect her.
"Mother, please. Let her speak," Dusk requested, he wanted to know what really happened.
"Silence! When you came here, Ocellus, you asked for judgement and I pass it now!" Twilight declined her son's request and reminded Ocellus of their agreement.
Dusk and Flash watched while the citizens were shouting and waiting for Twilight's judgement of the Outsider. Ocellus looked around nervously and looked up at the Queen as she gave her answer…
"Exiled!" Twilight announced.
"NO!" Dusk yelled in shock and sadness.
Ocellus gulped nervously as she looked and saw all members of the court looking at her angrily as a dragon roared out. A Yak started stomping his hooves while Griffons began banging their talons on a log, and all the ponies, buffaloes, and changelings started stomping in a rhythmic beat.
"No, Ocellus!" Dusk said, trying to get to Ocellus but was blocked by the guards of the castle.
Twilight just stood there waiting for the Outsider to leave their kingdom and never return.
Ocellus then turned to see everybody looking down at her with angry faces before turning to see Shining Armor and his stallions approaching her, forcing her to back away.
Then singing was heard…

Singer #2: Disgrace
Both Singers: Evil As Plain As The Scar On Her Face
Seeing that she was no longer welcome here, Ocellus knew she had no choice but to run off away from everybody's sight. Honestly their words hurt. And now, it was obvious she belonged to no band, whether they were Outsiders or Equestrians. But it hurt leaving Dusk behind. Did he believe she was behind his mother's attack? She may never know.
Male Kirin: Deception
Female Kirin: An Outrage!
Male Dragon: Disgrace
Female Dragons: For Shame!
Yak: She asked for trouble the moment she came.
As Ocellus ran, she passed a Yak standing on a rock above while avoiding the striking jaws of a group of hissing snakes.
Chorus: Deception ( An outrage! )
( She can't change her stripes )
Disgrace ( For shame! )
( You know these Outsider types )
Evil as plain as the scar on her face
( See you later, agitator! )
Deception ( An outrage! )
( Just leave us alone! )
Disgrace ( For shame! )
( Traitor, go back with your own! )
Yak: She asked for trouble the moment she came
Chorus: ( See you later, agitator! )
After avoiding the snakes, Ocellus came across some angry Kirins and continued running through a corridor of angry Deers as they clashed their antlers together, missing the Outsider. Then Ocellus ran through a corridor of Hippogriffs as some of them pecked at her angrily.
Griffons began throwing some rocks at the exiled Outsider as Ocellus managed to dodge out of the way and continued running away.
Chorus: Born in grief
Raised in hate
Helpless to defy her fate
Let her run
Let her live
But do not forget what we cannot forgive…
As Ocellus runs away from the Castle, Twilight watches her from the balcony as some birds flew over her and head toward Ocellus. Ocellus ran as she saw the birds coming and started pecking at her. Ocellus kept on running away, and the birds flew off.
Ocellus ran and ran until she reached a river and stopped to look back.
Chorus: And she is not one of us
She has never been one of us
She is not part of us
Not our kind
Behind her, Ocellus saw Twilight and her citizens all looking at the runaway Outsider with anger and betrayal. They couldn't believe that they were once again tricked and been lied to again just like before.
Dusk still struggles to get to Ocellus to prove she was innocent, but more guards keep blocking his path to keep him away from the traitor as Twilight kept watching the Outsider flee and so did the creatures of Equestria for they weren't happy about what Ocellus has done.
Chorus: Someone once lied to us
Now we're not so blind
For we knew she would do what she's done
And we know that she'll never be one of us
Ocellus became ashamed of herself and sad she hadn't told Twilight the truth when she started trusting her. Ocellus then looked down at her reflection in the water, only to find the reflection of Chrysalis in her place! Frightened to think she could turn out to be like her, Ocellus runs off out of the river and climbs up to the top of a large rock where she then looks back once more at the kingdom.
Female Singer: She's Not One Of Us
Ocellus saw she has wandered very far from the kingdom and seeing that is no longer welcome nor will Twilight forgive her, Ocellus though it might be best to leave and never return.
As Ocellus heads out, ghostly heads of an Earth Pony and Kirin began to appear and sang the last lyrics…
Earth Pony: Deception
Kirin: Disgrace
In the sky, as the sun was beginning to set, Dusk was looking out to the distance and was disappointed to see Ocellus leave and never come back.
Below, Ocellus kept on walking as far away as possible with her head down in sadness. She has no home, no friends, no family, or even a destiny. She began to even wonder who she even is anymore…is she Chrysalis's heir, Dusk's lover, or maybe…nothing?
Earth Pony: Deception
Kirin: Disgrace
As Ocellus heads over to a nearby hill, Twilight can be seen above Ocellus looking rather angry and still betrayed after what Ocellus has done to her and just when she was about to trust her. Twilight then turned away and faded.
Earth Pony: Deception
And with that, Ocellus ran off completely broken by her own fault.
Nearby, Starswirl was sitting on a rock and saw what happened as he moaned in defeat, Aurora and Cobalt's plan to bring Dusk and Ocellus together has failed before his eyes. What else could possibly go wrong?
