Chapter 3:The Return and a Newcomer
17th of Last Seed
Morning came to the Frostland of Skyrim. The Helios party and their new allies are packed up after completing a quest for the Khajiit caravan. Defeating the bandits and rescuing the people and their weird creatures.
The travel is taking a bit longer with another day because of the caravan and their carriage has reached max capacity, now every 20 minutes, the witches walk along with the carriage and the Pokémon trainers will ride inside.
"We are almost there everyone! We'll take a rest for a bit at Helgen." Helios said out loud to his party.
"Two times we have been detoured, hopefully this is the last one till Riverwood and then Whiterun." Makayla replied.
"This one apologized for your delay." The black furred Khajiit said, walking beside the group.
"No apologies needed, we did it to help." Helios replied with a smile.
The natural breeze of the cold atmosphere didn't affect the nords, but offhand, the witches and the human witch are wearing their armor made for the quest, but the Pokémon trainers have to wear cloaks and Kiawe is taking the brunt of the cold weather.
"H-hhow much f-further…?" Kiawe stutters due to the weather. Makayla tossed him a small red vial.
"Drink it, it'll keep you warm." Makayla smiles but the two Nords and Breton know what it is.
"Wait Kiawe don-" too late, he already drank the content and the worst part was that the liquid hit his tongue.
Kiawe then began to have a coughing fit, eyes filled with tears and his breath became smoke.
"Ahh! What is that?!"
"Oh… just a concoction I made to raise body temperature, the main ingredient is fire salts." The redguard alchemist explains.
"I'm so sorry…" Mateo apologized.
The rest of the party and some members of the caravan stared at the moment but was interrupted by a loud roar.
"What was that?" Olivia questioned.
"Could it be a bear?" Luz asked.
"Can't be… me and Jacob do hunting trips and that doesn't sound like a bear." Mateo corrected the question.
"This one is worrying." The black furred Khajiit said.
A second roar is heard this time is closer.
"There it is again…" now Lana is getting worried.
"And it sounds like it is coming from…" Jacob spoke but paused remembering the landscape.
"Coming from what?" Emira said hoping Jacob will answer.
"Helgen…"
The Nord, Breton, and Redguard eyes widened and before long Jacob quickly got off the carriage along with Olivia.
"Wait where you are going?!" Boscha demanded.
"Sir, we need to borrow your horses. Something bad is happening…" Jacob asked in quick pace to the lead Khajiit caravanner.
"But these two horses hold satchels filled with potions to sell." The orange fur Khajiit spoke.
Then another roar is heard and then the sky turns orange and they all see in horror as fireballs fall from the sky ahead of where they're from.
Jacob then quickly took the satchels off the horses and Olivia helped put them on the carriage horses.
"Makayla watched the stuff. Luz, Mateo, you're riding with us." Jacob ordered the party.
"We can help!" Ash exclaimed.
"How? The horses can only hold two people each." Olivia exclaimed as Mateo climbed behind her on the horse
"We got our Pokémon." Mallow said as she and the trainers brought out white and red spheres and they tossed it in the air.
A bunch of lights appeared out the balls and caused a surprise for the caravan and the party.
(Basically they have their ride Pokémon when they are the Ultra Guardians)
"… Ok we can worry about that later right we need to move. Makayla, make sure we keep contact with the rings. Everyone, we ride!" Jacob shouted as he moved the reins and the horse began galloping towards Helgen, Ash along with the Alola trainers took to the sky riding their Pokémon.
"Please be ok…" Makayla said as the Witches and the caravan stared at the road that leads Helgen…

(This part is typed by the author Mandalore the Survivor for his OC. Thanks for the ideas.)
"... Well this is just great. Hard day of work, cut my hand bad at work, and now *Grunting* stuck in the woods!" Growled out the words of annoyance by a young man of Asian descent trying to bypass heavy dense wood, worried of possible ticks or worse that may have gotten on him as he brushed off bits clinging to his dirty red shirt that had stains of melted rubber on it. His right hand was bandaged to display where his accident at work had been.
The young man in question was named Brayden Larsson, an Canadian of Scandinavian and Japanese heritage but seemingly inheriting more of his Japanese side in appearance with his black straight hair and long faced facial structure, somewhat narrow eyes that had an piercing glance to them with the eyes being dark hazel green, wearing pair of glasses.
An unshaved beard forming on his face as he had yet to shave in due being caught up an busy working schedule that he had just finished, yet his drive to home had an unexpected results of suddenly seeing what he can only described was a flash of light that pulled him off the panicking busy road and blacking out from there, awakening up in this now massive forest.
"Just where am I?" Brayden sighs as he looks around his surroundings, feeling quite cold that made him ach as it reminded him greatly what Alberta's winter feels like, even when it kept lasting months after December with more snow.
'As if I needed that, still at least the air smells... Really good.' The one thing he at least liked about winter was how cleaner the air smelled but as he smelled more and feeling that relief into his lungs after having spent 12 hours ago working in an hot damped warehouse filled with old loud machines where he cutted out rubber molds for roofing.
He was realizing there was even something different about the air. "... What's going on?" Brayden lifted his backpack on his shoulder filled with his stuff he had taken to work, feeling the need to bring his work-knife out and kept his thumb on the push switch as the sharp blade remained switched in.
He walked forward into the woods with caution, footsteps thumbing down as he tracked down the hill, getting reminded of his home of Vancouver Island where as a kid he would spend endless hours wandering the woods that brought some wave of nostalgia to the Canadian.
'Though I rather not it had been like this. Damnit, what are my family thinking now?' An anxiety slowly built in back of Brayden's mind as he couldn't help but picture what his family must be feeling once they took in the fact he didn't come home and he had already checked his IPhone to call to only see there wasn't any signaler anywhere.
He tried not to think about it, wanting to remain focus on his transferring into these woods, his ears picking up the sounds around him and as he passed by the large olden trees, stopping for a moment to look at one as he took in the age, once again reminded of his childhood of seeing the ancient untouched trees of his home island that he could see these trees were much the same.
"Hmm." He put his hand on the bark to feel it for a moment before giving it one last look as he moved on, but he would find that his distraction in that moment was paid for.
*THUMP!*
"GAH!" Brayden was startled by the impact sound behind and he spun around fast to where he saw to his surprise, an arrow sticking out of the tree he had been gazing at. "Damnit Log you missed! What were you doing in that time you had?! Gah get him!"
Brayden's head twisted to the side to where the shouting had come from and his eyes widened in shock to what he was seeing coming in a rush haze after him.
Bandits, the ever annoying sight to any veteran Elder Scrolls player in exploring around maps, there were 6 in total he was seeing coming out from the other of the woods and he was more shocked in seeing there were not only humans in the mix but an lanky white furred Khajiit dub in leather gear, an big green Orc barely dressed in fur armor that was barking out the orders, and an Bosmer archer that had been the one who try shoot at Brayden.
"Just shut up and get him!" Brayden didn't stick around to wait for the Bosmer to shoot again as he darted out there, the Bandits giving heavy chase after him, panic was shooting through him along with massive confusion.
'WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!'
Brayden panted out as he kept out running and he could still hear the bandits after him through the woods.
"Man, what is that smell?! Talos, it's coming down on us!" They were heavily complaining about how the smell of the rubber from his work was hitting their noises hard, the Khajiit in particular, though making most gains on speed towards Brayden's fast running form, was quite affected by the smell.
"Uh! Yorus thinks this one needs an trip to the river nearby!" Brayden cried out as he felt the Khajiit jumped onto his back that dumped them both down the hill, rolling off the grass till Brayden had gotten luck of crashing the Khajiit first into the tree that let go of the sharp grip he had on him, Brayden could feel where the blood was leaking out but he letted out his anger as he elbowed hard into the Khajiit's nose.
"YAG!" Brayden started to ground and pound him with more punches and elbows, but the Khajiit was making his way up his feet to block and counter Brayden's attacks.
"Grrgh!" Brayden's face twisted in pain feeling the deep scratch cut by the Khajiit's claws on his arm, he grabbed his arm into an lock, closing in distance as he hip-bumped into the Khajiit's groin that launched him over, throwing the Khajiit over his shoulder and he smacked down hard into the ground. "Why you-" The Khajiit Bandit's words were cut off as Brayden's knee met his face, knocking him right out.
Brayden rolled over him and though feeling still in pain, he grabbed his tossed backpack and kept running as he heard the other Bandits catching up. "Talos Yorus, you got your ass beaten by a skinny lad. Get after him!" Brayden grunted in pain, trying to keep up with speed but he was feeling himself getting more exhausted and he barely had time to try to dodge out of the way as sword swung by one of the bandits.
Feeling his heart racing of how close that sword had been to his back.
Looking up to see that it was the Orc leader now towering over him with his great sword raised high to finish the blow. "End of the line Outlander!" Brayden did the only thing that came to his mind in that panicked moment of potentially facing his death.
"YAAA!" As if it was in slow motion and the Orc's eyes slowly widening in horror that was shared by his fellow bandits as Brayden's fists were about to make strong contact to the one area that everyone dreads being hurt.
*SMACK!*
Back to the Helios party…
"By the gods…" Mateo spoke in a hushed whisper but unheard as they tried to comprehend what they were witnessing…
"Dragon!" A civilian of Helgen screams as a couple of people run away.
That is right… A dragon… From the end times. Black as night, the dragon continues to cause chaos and destruction of Helgen.
In quick kindness in the situation he and Olivia allowed one of the villagers to flee with the horses back to the caravan. And the trainers well, the dragon noticed the flying trainers and their Pokémon and flew itself over as it began attacking them.
Its jaws opened out wide as it darted fast towards them.
"Yol…Toor… Shul!"
"What…" Jacob is the only one to notice.
Now Jacob, Mateo, Olivia, and Luz are armed as they rush helping some of the stragglers to help escape.
But they see burnt and ravaged bodies of villagers, imperials, and even stormcloaks.
"None were spared…" Olivia said in sadness.
"Hi nizah dovah krilon wah vogahvon zey! Hi los neben zey, Zu'u fen naak hin sil wah nahkip dii bahlok" (You false dragons dare to defy me! You are beneath me, I will consume your souls to feed my hunger)
The black dragon tried to chomp on Kiawe and his Charizard. Luckily they dodge it in time but the force of the dragon's wings gushed mass amounts of wind at them that they were pushed hard back.
Reeling back to react to another mounting attack as it flew towards them.
"Damn it… We need to head into the keep…" Jacob said to the four. 'Looks like everyone either escaped or died…'
"Trainers land by the keep! Olivia!" Jacob shouted as the Breton cast a large arc of electricity gaining the attention of the dragon.
"Oh shit…" Mateo realized.
"Fus…Ro Dah!"
"Jacob!" Luz shouted.
Elsewhere…
*SMACK!*
"AAAAAAHHHHH!" The Orc's eyes bulged out and mouth gaping out as pain shot through him upon Brayden's nut punch making such severe contact that he even dropped his sword and it was about to only get worse for him.
Brayden didn't waste time to land more hits on the Orc, lower punching his liver that shot more pain into the Bandit, though the Orc was physically stronger than him, Brayden was faster as more combination of punches/elbows/kicks made contact to the Orc's body's weak points, adding slashes from his work knife that slit deep into the Orc's skin.
Though his hands hurted, his adrenaline was running high and he wanted to live and win over his pain.
The Orc dumped over in pain, but his comrades were still closing in distance into the tired Canadian, it looked as if things were not about to end well for him... Until something happened that intervened.
The Bandits were shot at by new arrows that punched into them hard, the accuracy of the killing shots left Brayden gaping in shock for a moment before he collected himself upon hearing groaning from the Orc laying on the ground.
"Stay down!" Brayden lifted up his steel toe boot and slammed hard as he could down into the Orc's head with a loud smack, it jolted his leg that he wobbled back and nearly tumbled back before he caught himself.
But he saw that the Orc was very much out of the count with the huge lump forming on his forehead. "Heh, you're a feisty one." That voice caught Brayden dead in his tracks, he knew that voice very well. He turned around, trying to hide some of his shock as he saw coming into view was indeed who he thought it was. "You put up a good fight, rusty but potential. What are you doing out here?"
Getting closer to him was the red hair beauty Nord, favorite of many players like Brayden himself, Aela the Huntress. She was even more gorgeous in real life, flawless fair skin, long red hair that shined brightly, her infamously outfit did very little to hide her well formed figure as Brayden tried not to note the 'bouncing', but he instead found better focus in her emerald green eyes that was captivating to him.
He tried to maintain himself, not wanting to make himself a creep, "Well, it's a long story but to say it plainly, I don't really know. I was trying to get home from where I was working only to end up here." He tried to control his speech, always cursing his difficulties talking right but Aela appeared not to mind than raising her brow.
"I imagine by 'work' is why you have such a foul stench on you? What is that?" Aela had maintained a certain distance as the whiff of strong rubber hit her senses, but she still looked at Brayden and found her curiously peaked further as she couldn't recognize his facial looks anywhere she had seen in.
In fact, there was only one that she could place similar to this young man's looks. "It seems like that's been the case for many, you're not the only one. Come, you better follow me and besides, a fighter like you might just earn a place with us." That more than caught his attention.
Back to Helgen…
"Jacob…"
"Jacob…"
"Jacob…"
"Jacob…"
"Son… the road is long but your journey starts now…"
"Jacob!"
"Huh…" Jacob groaned as he opened his eyes to see the trainers, Mateo, Olivia, and Luz looking at him with worry on their faces.
"Oh by the eight, and nine you alright." Olivia said in relief.
"Where…?"
"Oh we are inside Helgen Keep, that dragon knocked you out and blasted you into the door leading to the barracks." Mateo explained.
"We distracted it long enough to get you inside." Sophocles explained.
Groaning a bit, Helios then got up. And he noticed his iron banded armor got a huge dent.
"Damn… Looks like you serve me well." He then took off the chest piece, exposing his body. And then he noticed a chest by the opened fence door.
Opening it, he sees a set of light imperial armor. He then put it on and put the bent chest piece in his backpack.
"Alright let's go."
They all nodded and continued on…
The party entered a circle area, bodies of Stormcloaks and Imperial troops.
"Even if a dragon attacks, they tear each other apart because of the civil war." Olivia spoke, saddened by it, then brought out a gold ring with a blue glowing gem.
"Olivia?" The voice of Makayla said.
"Makayla, tell the caravan to head to Riverwood, avoid Helgen at all cost."
"I'll tell them but why?"
"A dragon is attacking Helgen."
"… Are you serious? A dragon?"
"I'm serious, tell them."
"Ok then, bye."
"Bye. Let's continue on." Olivia finished the magic message and the rest continued on
Back to Brayden…
"Wait, others?" He wasn't the only one, what is that implying...
His answer came in the form of hearing a very familiar sound that shouldn't have been in Skyrim, he looked up as did Aela and to his growing shock, there flying over the forest was a Vertibird. Exactly as it looked from the Fallout series and Brayden could even make out on the side of its door was the symbol of a two headed Bear he could just barely make out the detail from his distance, but he still knew it.
NCR.
"Yep others. They're a highly strange sight, those 'vertibirds' as their owners said it's called, in the skies of Skyrim. More than caused a stir, though by your reaction, I'm taking you already knew that?" Between noting too much of his facial appearance, the strange clothing and items on him was making Aela think more of the other new 'arrivals' into Skyrim.
Brayden breathed in and let out a sigh as he placed his worn hand on his forehead, feeling more tired as did his aching limbs. "... Yeah, I am. Seems like I ain't the only one either looking for answers." He looked at her and nodded.
"Thank you for helping. My name is Brayden Larrson " Aela gained a bit of curious look as she was processing more about this young man, noting the curious similarity in his surname's Nordic but she somewhat recognizes 'Brayden' from Reachmen or even Dunmer names.
"Huh, your surname's Nordic but I almost recognize your name to an Reachmen, interesting. My name is Aela Blackblade, follow me, we'll talk on the way." Gesturing him to follow her and turning around, Brayden tried to keep up pace but found himself admittingly finding it hard to resist not to notice the sway in her hips.
Seems like things are going to be interesting now for the young Canadian…
Back to the Helios party…
"Hah… Thank you for saving me…" A exhausted mage thanks the Helios party for saving him from death in the cage in the torture room.
By now they are in a cave system, then they hear two men shouting.
"You have no right to blame this on the Stormcloaks!"
"Who benefited the most from this?! The Empire, or the Jarl whose neck is away from the headsman!"
"That dragon killed my brothers in arms!"
"Pikachu use thunderbolt!" Ash shouted.
Ash's Pikachu jumped off his shoulder and unleashed an electric shock that stunned both the imperial and the stormcloak.
"You two… We are going to have a little chat." Jacob glared at the once bickering Nords of two factions as he kicked both weapons away.
