Notes of Tamriel #3 by Olivia Chirja
Whiterun is different after we return, new guards, new shops, even new recruits for the Companions. But now, it's been awhile after I left Winterhold to learn in the college in Cyrodiil. I left my apprentice Mia Ottuax to study with the teachers. But with the portals happening, she'll probably be in the same spot as I. She'll take notes and study. I wonder how she's doing.
Chapter 7:Whiterun Stay, Dragon Rising, and California Might Pt2
18th of Last Seed
Winterhold
Mia Ottuax is a female Breton Mage, a student at the College of Winterhold in Skyrim and the apprentice of Olivia Chirja. Today was a bad day for her. Today was supposed to be a field trip to Solitude, but she got her the case of Rockjoint. So she stayed till she was well enough to move around the college.
And she was bored.
"Mia-Mage is something troubling you." A robotic voice spoke to her.
Her head turns towards the voice and sees I-Light the terminal of the Geth Consensus.
The geth appeared at the college about a month ago along with new members Dr. Garret Bryson and Ann Bryson. Though there was a short unexpected conflict on arriving here. But with quick time spells and quick thinking by Savos Aren, the Arch-Mage, there are no casualties.
Garret explained that the geth are a machine race that were created by a space faring species called the Quarians.
The idea of life beyond the stars is fascinating. Though from the geth perspective, when they achieve sapience by asking the question "Does this unit have a soul?"
To Mia, the ability to think for yourself and question it makes you feel alive. But the Quarians, afraid of the geth sapience, tried to deactivate the geth.
Thus began the Geth Rebellion or the Morning War as the geth called it. It was devastating for the Quarians that were forced to flee their home world and become nomads. The geth let them go not knowing the consequences of killing their creators.
The Arch-Mage listened to both sides of their stories. With him listening to the audio recording from the geth. And then he made a decision.
Flashback
"You want the geth to stay?" Mirabelle Ervine asked the Arch-Mage.
"Yes, the reason is that we have been collecting a bit of unknown technology we have never seen before. The geth could help us along with the Brysons, though the two seem to distrust the geth." Savos explained, eyeing the two Brysons who were a few steps away from the geth. "And I think it'll be a learning experience for the students."
"And I understand their fear of artificial intelligence as they call it. But the ability to think that you are alive is proof."
"Savos-Arch-Mage we only fought the creators for continued existence." The leading geth said. "But cooperation is beneficial."
"That I understand, I just have to set a few rules so both sides can cooperate without any incident."
"We will agree to these terms."
All the while Mia is eavesdropping on the meeting. Like Olivia, she takes notes on her book, writing down details of the meeting.
"Alright then, but what should I call you?" Savos asked the geth.
"Geth."
"I mean the name of yourself individually."
"There is no individual, we are all geth. There are currently 1,183 programs active within this platform."
"That sounds like a legion worth of numbers." Tolfdir said.
"Hm… Legion… is Legion a good name for you?" Savos asked.
"… Christian Bible, the Gospel of Mark, chapter five verse nine." The geth spoke "We acknowledged this as an appropriate metaphor."
"We are Legion, a terminal of the geth. We will integrate into the college of Winterhold." Legion introduced.
Present
Now with the geth, mage students are now paired with geth units, the Arcanaeum has terminals with codexes to use, and the college is now learning about chemistry, technology, astronomy, and complex mathematics.
"It's nothing, just bored, I got sick the day before the field trip to Solitude." Mia answered.
"Mia-mage, why not use the medi-gel that was collected." I-Light asked.
"It was a mild case, but got better after that." Mia answered. "Just about to head to the library, looking up more of the codexes."
"But didn't you check the codex approximately thirteen times already?"
"… doesn't hurt to go through the codex a few times right?"
But before I-Light responds, for Mia she felt a strong burst of magicka and sees a flash of light from the left side of Winterhold.
"Alert unknown energy levels detected." I-Light informed.
Getting her bearings from the sensation of the magic energy. She and I-Light exited out to the courtyard and caused Mia eyes to widen and I-Light fins on the head to open a bit as an expression of surprise.
They see another building, one that appeared with new land that connects the college ground since it stands on the cliffs of Winterhold.
Few of the staff and geth guards arrived to see the building next to the college.
"It happened again?" Urag gro-Shub, the orc librarian of the Arcanaeum asked.
With mages, they begin to feel the presence of the portals around Skyrim depending on the size of the presence.
And this one is large.
"Mia-Mage, there is an entrance to enter." I-Light pointed towards the doors into the building "Scans also indicated that this is a 21st century earth school building."
"So we're dealing with a school appearing next to ours… Well, time to meet the students." Mia jokes quietly.
Both Mia and I-Light along with some geth and the staff enter the building. The building inside is dark, likely no power from being transported here, though the windows have some lighting in, some of geth activate their flashlights and the mages cast candlelight.
Mia and I-Light went to a different path as the others took the second floor. Both mage and geth then entered what it designated as a gymnasium, entering the first set of doors I-Light spoke.
"Mia-Mage sensor shows that there are about 54 signatures before the next entrance."
She nodded and proceeded to open the second set of doors. Her eyes widened as she saw what the 54 signatures were.
In front of the two were a bunch of teenagers and a couple of kids in the gymnasium.
"Hey who are you?" A guy with wild hair asked.
"Is that another robot like Keebo?" Asked the guy with pink hair and wearing a bright green-yellow jumpsuit.
"Ugh… What's with her robes? It looks tacky." A bleached strawberry-blonde hair girl with twin pigtails said.
But before Mia or I-Light could say anything, Mia felt a familiar presence and turned her back behind the students and prepared herself.
She sees some frost appearing around the area till four ice wraiths appear causing the group to be surprised.
"What the fuck!?" A bulky teen with dark-brown punch perm pompadour exclaimed at the ice wraith appearance.
"I-Light, deploy the shield barriers, protect them." Mia said to the geth as her hands glowed and used the spells she had.
Two portals open as two Flame Atronach appear in front of Mia.
"Wait… she's a mage!" A young girl with a witch hat and cape said in surprise.
Going for her staff, Mia casts a few fireballs at the wraith, and I-Light deploys the barrier to protect the students.
"I-Light need help here!" Mia shouted to her geth companion.
I-Light fins opened a bit as an acknowledgment as it brought out a geth plasma smg, holding it down on the trigger, it released a torrent of plasma on the wraiths. Two were instantly killed leaving a pile of ice bits.
The two Flame Atronach finished the other wraith but time is up as the two disappeared.
Mia was about to finish off the last wraith but it changed target and charge at the girl with a witch hat.
"No!" Mia shouted but luckily I-Light changed his weapon for the Black Widow sniper rifle and fired a concussion shot.
The wraith got hit as it spins out of control and only Mia has finished it off with sparks.
"Phew…" Mia sighed a bit, she stretched a bit but…
*Crack*
"Ugh…" Mia groaned and realized what happened.
"Mia-mage do you require medical assistance?" I-Light.
"Rockjoint… it has returned…" Mia said as she can't move "to all you people… the staff at the college will explain everything, and welcome to the College of Winterhold in Skyrim, the Northern Province of Tamriel."
"Are you alright?" A girl dressed as a nurse asked.
"No… a case of Rockjoint and its bad…"
Just then Urag gro-Shub, the staff, and geth arrived at the gymnasium and witnessed what they saw.
"Mia, I told you to take it easy."
"I know… I know…"

Whiterun
Brayden POV
The sounds of blades clashing and the sounds of cheering is heard as Brayden is dueling with Vilkas.
"Come on Brayden! I got money running on ya." Torvar was not eager to lose his bet with Njada.
The Female Nord hearing that, scoffed but went back into watching as Brayden and Vilkas kept up hard in their duel, both bruised and battled up but it was looking more into Vilkas's favor.
Though having a bruise formed on his jaw from Brayden's earlier elbow attack, Vilkas was in prime energy than where Brayden's exhaustion was getting shown through his panting and slower movement.
He was knocked back hard from Vilkas's hard shove forward and he let out a grunt of pain contacting the hard stone ground, rolling back and almost missed the sword blocking Vilkas's slash. Brayden twisted the blade and closed in, kicking at his feet and bumped his hip hard into the Companion's groin, he lunch Vilkas upwards and surprised onlookers to see Vilkas getting shoulder tossed by the new Rookie.
"Ugh! Okay Newblood, time to end this!" Though hitting hard on the ground with his back and his sword dropped with a clang, Vilkas grabbed onto him and pulled hard with his greater strength. Though feeling resistance as he saw Brayden drop down to an odd stance that reminded him of one riding on a horse-saddle, legs spread low and feet outwards.
And Brayden smacked his head hard into Vilkas's face. "Gah!" Vilkas was not enjoying the fact that he could hear a certain Krogan laughing in great approval. "YEAH! JUST LIKE A KROGAN!" Vilkas was going to make sure Brayden got extra tasks to do for this scrappy fight, with strong ales waiting for him.
"Have to say, he's doing better than I thought he would." Skjor looked with mild interest, processing what he learned from seeing Brayden's endurance and fighting style. "Indeed and we can push him to keep improving." Aela was looking on with a smile that caught Skjor's mild attention, it was not her usual strong proud grin that bordered on cockyness.
It was a genuine smile that he did not often see from her. He turned back to the fight though, watching as Vilkas now pulled Brayden to the ground, rolling around in a scuffle until the Companion had grabbed his sword and placed it near Brayden's neck.
"Yield lad. I think that's enough for one day." Brayden gasped and panted, trying to catch his breath and feeling the sweat dripping his forehead and his body now feeling the exhaustion overtaking, nodded. "Yeah, I think that'll do." Vilkas pulled back his sword and lifted Brayden up to his feet, hearing a couple mutters of other Companions exchanging bets and even a few cheers. Vilkas clapped Brayden on the shoulder, "You did not bad Newblood, let's get ya some ale and ice to your bruises."
"The same I'm sure you need for yourself. Your eyes are gonna be alright?"
"Don't get soft on me now kid, but the concern is appreciated. This is not the worst I've had." Vilkas laughed a bit that got Brayden joining in as well, leading the new recruit to the Companions to the others as they all watched Brayden walk up the steps and being approached by some of them.
"I swear you are just only going to get into a long list of fighting. You gonna be alright there?" Aela came over to Brayden, checking up on his wounds and joining her was Rhinox who was seeing how his previous medical healing to the young Canadian was once again restarted with new injuries.
"You're starting to remind me of one of my friends with the rate you're getting into trouble, but a calmer head. Lets get ya healed up." Rhinox idly wondered where he placed that kolta that had taken his interest, wanting to test its effects.
"So Brayden, you going to postpone our match?" Kurumua was coming over with a grin, looking rather happy at the fight he had given out and clapped his shoulder and she had given credit to Brayden holding himself. Stoic look only gave a tiny fringe at the force by her hand, before a small smile was making up when Brayden turned towards her.
"Oh I don't know, maybe I can try to manage one more match." That got chuckles and a few laughs around the Companions. "Brayden! Don't get yourself killed! She's bigger than you!" Donson shouted out from the far end table, getting only more laughs despite the fact even Donson was seeing Brayden was pushing it.
Kurumua grinned wider and seemed to be getting only more eagered by this human, for a short one that was rather lean in muscle. He's got a lot of heart and she will give him that. "Brayden not now, you can fight with her later. You're too exhausted." Aela placed her hand on his shoulder and was pulling him back to halt that plan, but Brayden showed a little stubbornness as he threw an wryly look to Aela that caught her back a bit but she liked the emotion Aela literally felt rolling out.
"Maybe, but I've made my word and don't want to miss the chance to do it. But I guess I can rest just a bit first." Zaeed shook his head hearing this. "That kid is gonna get himself jumped."
"I know, Kurumua is quite the big girl compared to him." Bril had said he was more than impressed with Brayden's guts and toughness but he wondered if he was biting more than he can handle.
"No, I mean he's going to get himself 'jumped' by Kuruma." The look that Kuruma was directing to Brayden was reminding him of a Female Krogan, Uorok's laughing could be heard echoing out.
"Better get yourself five portions of stamina there Brayden. You need them." Torvar hoped he could maybe make a come-back as he had given his betting money over Njada.
However, something would come intercepting to that plan.
"Hello Companions. I apologize for intercepting, but there's an emergency." Heads turned over to the voice and coming into the courtyard was an NCR Trooper.
"What's going on, soldier?" Skjor took up lead and stepped up to the trooper. "Whiterun is in danger, the Jarl and Colonel are asking for as much help as possible." Skjor had a bad feeling that he knew what it was.
"Companions, it's time for action. Aela pick 5 to come with and meet me in the Dragonsreach." Aela nodded to Skjor and she went head to do so.
Kurumua went up to give Brayden a small punch on his shoulder and with a wide grin, she lowered herself down to his ear, which caught Brayden off guard a bit. "We'll do this later tonight."
"... Looking forward to it."
Dragonsreach
Helios POV
Jacob, Mateo, Makayla, Olivia, Kodlak, and Sasha arrive at the doors to Dragonsreach after climbing up the steps in Whiterun. They see all of Whiterun in its glory and see Camp Mccarran that merge with the hold.
"Feels good to be back." Jacob said as he felt the cold breeze.
"It's amazing." Sasha replied, seeing Skyrim in all of its glory. Seeing the largest mountain ahead of them. Helios told her that the Nords' arrival to Skyrim, the settlers from long ago called the northern province of Tamriel "The Throat of the World.
"Shall we?" Olivia asked, so the party opened the doors and entered Dragonsreach.
Everything is the same last time they were here except for Sasha. The only difference is that there are a few NCR troops acting as guards, the chandelier with candles is switched with electric lighting. Continuing up the hall, the kitchen on the left has new cooking stoves and a couple of ingredients that came from the portals.
And at the throne is Jarl Balgruuf the Greater, listening to both Proventus Avenicci, his steward, and a NCR personnel with a green beret.
"Bandits have become a serious problem since the start of the appearance of the portals. Our guards are stretched thin, and we have to start recruiting the locals." Avenicci explained.
"It's not just yours Proventus, it's the same with ours, with the arrival of the Fiends, Jackals, and Vipers they have been hitting travelers and merchants. Though we have some reinforcements from our world, Camp Mccarran is getting full of refugees and we can't take more in. We're already having to expand room to fill in the ones we have and that includes even extending into the connection with your city. Our construction workers are working with yours to help the process." The green beret soldier said.
"It is appreciated, Colonel. Whiterun has been in an uplifting mood since the benefits of power have spread around my people and though challenges ahead, it is pleasing to know where our growth points are still at in this crisis." Jarl Balgruuf's mind wandered towards the new wall defenses and weapons emerging slowly to his troops and he hoped the new training routines would yield its fruit.
Just as the party was about to come closer, a dark elf woman approached the party.
"What's the meaning of this interruption? Jarl Balgruuf is not receiving visitors." Irileth demanded.
"Hello Irileth, it's been awhile." Jacob answered.
"Helios? So Jolia's son has returned from Cyrodiil. But what brings you, your group, and the Harbinger here?"
"They have news about the dragon attack on Helgen and the people of Riverwood asked for the Jarl's aid." Kodlak explained to them.
"So your group knows about Helgen then. Alright I'll bring you to the Jarl." Irileth gestures to them to come forth.
"Sasha this is Balgruuf the Greater, the Jarl of Whiterun." Jacob introduced her to the Jarl.
"Helios, welcome back home, though Irileth said that you have some news and with the Harbinger here as well." Balgruuf asked.
"Yes, my party was there in Helgen and witnessed a dragon burning the town."
"So the rumors were true. What do you say now, Proventus? Shall we continue to trust in the strength of our walls? Against a dragon?" Balgruuf said to Proventus.
"And Riverwood asks your aid as well from upcoming dragon attacks." Kodlak added.
"The Harbinger is right my lord. We should send troops to Riverwood at once. It's in the most immediate danger, if that dragon is lurking in the mountains…" Irileth said but Proventus said otherwise.
"The Jarl of Falkreath will view that as a provocation! He'll assume we're preparing to join Ulfric's side and attack him. And I don't know if your NCR troops could handle a dragon." Proventus said to the Jarl as well as the green beret soldier.
"We never encountered a dragon. But if it's like a deathclaw, our firepower will be enough to kill it." The soldier said. "But we can't just send our troops to the town. We are stretched as it is with both refugees and bandits roaming around."
"I may have an idea. Uh…." Jacob spoke.
"Sorry, I'm Colonel James Hsu of the NCR." Hsu introduced himself.
"Riverwood is a lumber town, maybe your soldiers could protect them in exchange for lumber for constructing housing for refugees and your troops." Jacob explained.
Hsu is silent, thinking of what Helios said. "Hm… Recently we got some construction workers from Quarry Junction and back from California. With some help from the locals we can build housing for the refugees and our own." Hsu told himself about the idea. "Alright then, I'll send some troops, I'll send the message to write down the trade deal."
Hsu then walked away from the group a bit to use his radio to tell the troops new orders.
"Thank you Jacob, you did a great service to Whiterun." Balgruuf said. "There is another thing you could do for me. Come, let's go find Farengar. He's been looking into a matter related to these dragons and... Rumors of dragons."
"Farengar?" Sasha asked.
"He's the Jarl's court wizard." Olivia explained.
Walking to the right side, they entered an area where Farengar Secret-Fire was studying some of the items the NCR brought.
"Farengar, I've found a group that is going to help you and your assistant." Balgruuf said to his court wizard.
Turning from his study the Nord sees the group "Ah, Helios and Chirja I see you and your group returned from Cyrodiil. So are you all going to help?"
"That's right." Mateo answered.
"Well knowing you all are adventurers, I learned of a stone tablet said to be housed in Bleak Falls Barrow - a "Dragonstone," said to contain a map of dragon burial sites. Go to Bleak Falls Barrow, find this tablet - no doubt interred in the main chamber - and bring it to me. Simplicity itself."
"Wait, you mean this?" Jacob then grabbed his backpack and shuffled through his stuff and brought out a stone tablet.
"Ah! The Dragonstone of Bleak Falls Barrow! You already found it!" Farengar exclaimed "I'll have my assistant look through it."
"Jenner? Edwin Jenner you there?"
Moments later a man entered, he was in his mid 40s with light brown graying hair and wearing a lab coat.
"This is Dr. Edwin Jenner, he's my assistant on studying modern virology as he calls it." Farengar explained "he's helping me with the study of dragons but on his own time he showed some his lessons on viruses and diseases that are different from Tamriel."
"It's easier to understand the different aspects of the disease and find a way to cure it or make a vaccine out of it. But in any case I gotta thank the NCR for finding me after arriving here." Jenner said.
"Anyway, our work starts now thanks to you all." Farengar thanks the Helios party. "Now then let's get started." And with that they started doing their research.
But it abruptly stops when Irileth barges in.
"Farengar! Farengar, you need to come at once. A dragon's been sighted nearby." Irileth said. "You all should come as well." She said to the group.
"A dragon! How exciting! Where was it seen? What was it doing?" Farengar asked excitedly.
"I'd take this a bit more seriously if I were you. If a dragon decides to attack Whiterun, I don't know if we can stop it. Let's go!" With that they all head to the throne where both Balgruuf and Hsu are talking to a NCR soldier.
Coming at the entrance is Brayden and the others.
"Brayden." Jacob said hello.
"Jacob." He responds.
"You saw him?" Mateo asked, pointing to the NCR soldier.
"I did yeah, me and the other Companions that saw him come in." Brayden's side was then taken up by Ria who nodded to Jacob's party. "Indeed and it seems like it's even more urgent than we thought. You know what's really going on?" Ria asked in curiosity as she figured they would have more information.
"Yeah, we just gave Farengar and his assistant Edwin Jenner the dragon stone to study till Irileth told us to come to the throne to see what is happening." Makayla answered Ria's question.
'Edwin Jenner from the walking dead…' Brayden thought. 'Maybe Rick's group will arrive here. Hell, I might have expected to encounter Lee's group.' Brayden wasn't putting any limit of what may happen through those portals.
"Huh, heard little about him but rather keeps to himself mostly." Ria remembered Edwin being talked about in Whiterun a bit, mostly gossip or where his contributions were being made in Dragonsreach.
"You two better come over here. You need to listen to this." Aela called over to them and brought their attention towards where the talking was going on.
"Calm down soldier, tell me your name and rank, explain what happened." Hsu ordered the soldier.
"Sir! Private Shawn Greene sir!" Shawn salute. "I was in the western watchtower following my commanding officer orders when a dragon attacked. It came from the south. It was circling around, my captain ordered me to head to either Whiterun or Mccarran to alert the troops. The dragon was about to swoop in till it was distracted by five smaller dragons attacking it."
"More dragons?!" Farengar exclaimed.
"Yes but there's more, five of the dragons have riders on them." Shawn added.
"Don't dragons from legends despise us?" Mateo asked.
'Don't tell me they're here as well.' Brayden thought more about the information.
"Maybe but these dragons are different, maybe they're from the portals as well?" Olivia theorized.
"What do the smaller dragons look like?" Brayden asked.
"I was able to get a glimpse of two dragons. One is all black with green eyes and one green with two heads." Shawn described it.
'Yep, that's them. Well, Skyrim's officially broken.' Brayden thought to himself as he nodded to Shawn's answer and watched as he got patted on the shoulder by Colonel Hsu.
"Good work soldier, head back to Mccarran, get yourself clean and head to the mess hall. You have earned it." Hsu ordered Shawn as he saluted and left. "I'll organize my troops." Hsu said as he brought his radio to call in for new orders.
"We'll do the same as well. Irileth, you'd better gather some guardsmen and get down there." Balgruuf ordered his Housecarl.
"I've already ordered my men to muster near the main gate." Irileth responded.
"Good. Don't fail me."
"There's no time to stand on ceremony, my friends. I need your help again. I want you and your party to go with Irileth and help her fight this dragon. You survived Helgen, so you have more experience with dragons than anyone else here. But I haven't forgotten the service you did for me in retrieving the Dragonstone for Farengar." Balgruuf said to Helios and his group.
"Though you have residency here in Whiterun, I've allowed Avenicci that you are now permitted to purchase property in the city. And please accept this gift from my personal armory." Balgruuf then gives Helios a Steel War Axe that is enchanted with fire damage.
"Thank you my Jarl." Helios said "now then, we better get the others." Jacob said to his party.
"Kodlak, will you be joining us?" Ria asked the Harbinger.
He shook his head in grave disappointment. "I am not in primal condition to enter this battle child. Not yet if with luck to Rhinox's research. I shall however be readying with the others should Whiterun be attacked. You're all facing a dragon from long ago, this will be the greatest moment of our lifetime." Kodlak said.
"And hopefully one that we will all live through after. Alright, you whelps! Follow me to the entrance, make sure you have everything you need. We're not slowing down." Skjor got the momentum moving and soon Aela, Brayden, Ria, Kuruma, and Areglia followed him, soon being joined by Jacob's party.
Whiterun
Boscha POV
[The Streets of Whiterun Plays…]
When first arrived here in Skyrim, she's annoyed that the human Luz and her friends were here. At least her own friends are here with her now. But when they met Jacob and his party of cousins and knew where they were…
She has to change her act, after she was saved by Helios from a wall spike trap that nearly killed her in Bleak Falls Barrow.
Now there she is, Jacob's home, Whiterun. She's been sitting under Gildergreen for awhile now, watching residents and travelers come and go, she did see her friend Skara talking to Bo.
Probably swapping stories on what they were doing since arriving here.
She sighed a bit, feeling the cold breeze on her, closing her three eyes, trying to remember the memories back home in the Boiling Isles.
But those memories show the times she taunting Luz, Willow, and Gus before Luz declared a Grudgby match that Amity joined.
"How's Whiterun treating you?" A woman's voice spoke to her.
Boscha jumped a bit, turning her head to Jolia Helios, Jacob's mother, and her pet cat and mouse.
"Uh… it's good…" she sounded nervous.
"First timers who visited Whiterun were either foreigners or adventurers taking a tour. But it's a historic city rich in history." Jolia said.
Boscha was silent, feeling awkward being next to Jacob's mother.
"This is something about my son isn't it?" Jolia questioned which Boscha was caught off by her question.
"W-why did you ask that?"
"I know that my son leaves a good impression on the girls though I feel bad for him…"
Boscha blush a bit "What do you mean?" She probably knows the answer.
"You probably heard from Mateo that Jacob dated three women." Jolia looks down a bit "He tries to be the best man for them but it falls short."
"How did he handle it?" Boscha frowned a bit.
"Most days he takes up quests from the Companions or the tavern just to keep him occupied. But on his off days… he… just stared off, he was silent and at a time… I saw tears on his face."
Boscha couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"But that was three years ago… he got better, and when he got back from Cyrodiil, I was happy to see him back to his old self." Jolia smiled, wiping a tear off her eyes. "Sorry I get a bit emotional at times."
"N-no no, it's alright." Boscha said.
'You know…after everything since arriving here. I think I'll have to thank Helios for everything and saving me after the Barrows.' The three eyed witch thought.
Then they hear footsteps, they turn to see the companions and Jacob's party coming down the steps from Dragonsreach.
"Mateo check Jorrvaskr, we need to get the Pokémon trainers. Olivia, check the temple and the Winds district. Me and Makayla will check the Plains District. And Sasha here some gold, try to get some daggers and light armor, we don't know what kind of dragon we are facing. We have to be prepared." Jacob said to his party and tossed a coin pouch to Sasha.
"What's going on?" Jolia asked her son.
"Got another quest mom, the Jarl wants us to investigate the western watchtower." Jacob answered, not getting her worried about the dragon attack on the watchtower.
"Boscha joined us. We have to get the others." Jacob said to her.
"Alright let's do it." She then gets up to join them.
"Jacob be careful." Jolia said.
"I'll be fine mom." Jacob hugged his mom.
"Alright let's go." With that the Helios party splits up to find the others.
Elsewhere
"My lord. What are we to do? We are in strange foreign lands. If what the prisoner says is true, then we may not even be in our own world."
"Learn and adapt. We must learn more about this Skyrim." Within a circled tent where the roof was exposed to the sky. Banners flapping nearby that displayed rather peculiar symbols to those of Tamriel.
A Black flag flapped with four diamonds shaped in a larger one was the main display. It was followed by symbols such as a golden flower. A red tiger on a green plain. A Kanji letter on a purple plain. And a crane on a yellow and white banner.
Within the center of the tent were at least 10 armored men seated in folded chairs while laying center between them was a table that held on it, a map and pieces scattered around.
A map of Skyrim.
"We may have driven them off now, but their magic worries me and they will be back in force. We must secure ourselves and fortify properly for future attacks." Facing them all was a late twenties Asian man wearing black armor with an white coat over it, wearing an ornate helmet.
This was Sō Yoshitoshi of the Samurai Clan Sō, presented around the Lord were his retainers. Gathered to discuss the Clan's sudden new circumstances, Yoshitoshi still remembered how that portal had opened above his castle home and the immense panic bursting out as he and his people were sucked through it.
Reawakening to find themselves, and others. To this place of 'Reach' within Skyrim as they're coming to know. The Clan's introduction to Skyrim's people was less than ideal, first encountering what the Japanese could only describe as savages that attacked them ruthlessly, ruthlessness that the Japanese returned in greater force as they completely wiped out the camp and caves full of them.
Then as they were setting themselves up within the area, the Clan found itself attacked by who they have now identified as "Thalmor". Not even human, and much to their shock, they performed magic before their eyes and killed more than one of their warriors.
Such displays had put a chill down their spine of what else was awaiting them, but they would not run with their tails behind their legs. "I agree, my Lord. We must take our time to learn of our enemies, the prisoners will have much to tell us." Spoken out one of the retainers seated, a Samurai in red and black armor and wearing an eyepatch on his apparent missing right eye.
"Indeed. And there is the matter of the surrounding area, I wish to lead a force to secure the nearest fortress or town nearby into our control. Ensure that we cannot be taken by surprise if we expand." Another retainer was speaking out among the desired thoughts that were circling some of the Clan, a Samurai in green and brown armor.
"Scout and if opportunities arise, establish relations. We will not repeat mistakes made in Korea." The words of Sō Yoshitoshi reminded them of the failed Invasion of Korea that their now deceased liege, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, had attempted for his dreams of global conquest that would though only prove far too costly.
Sō Yoshitoshi leaned back in his seat, bringing up his right hand holding a fan before swinging it forward towards the map. "Let us set forth and rise through this new world!"
"HAI!" Skyrim was about to be introduced to warriors not seen since the Akaviri invasions…

Falkreath Forest
Hugool has just left his home in Falkreath Hold and is traveling through the forest. Packing with essentials of food, water, potions, his weapons, an elven sword and two glass daggers, and his wealth. Starting his journey to Whiterun to see Helios and help restart the Sunstriders Company.
"Clairvoyance…" Hugool whispered, casting an illusion spell to show the High Elf the way to Whiterun.
"Almost to Riverwood…" looking up at the sky, he can see daylight but he knows it's going to be dark later.
So he started unpacking his bag and setting up camp. Already, his tent was set up, a campfire lit, and a cooking station set up. Now he needs to go hunting.
Some time later he hunted around the area with an elven bow in hand. Seeing a pheasant that is distracted, he pulls the string with the arrow and releases it.
And it struck true.
Going out of cover, Hugool approaches the killed pheasant. He's about to collect it till he hears some rustling from the foliage in front of him.
"Show yourself, I won't harm you, but I will if you do something to harm me."
Seconds past and the person who steps out of the foliage is…
"… A child?"
Hugool sees a little girl, wearing clothes that are unfit for winter weather and she has a weird hat that has a letter D on it.
The girl looked frightened seeing him though he had his hood and cloak on.
"Don't hurt me…"
"I won't child, but where are your parents?"
"I don't know… Lee was helping me find my parents."
"Lee? Who's Lee?"
"My… my caretaker. I was separated from him and my group."
Hugool was quiet 'this child lost her parents and this Lee is helping her.' The High Elf thought.
"Young one, I know what I'm asking is strange, you barely know me, but I do know that it's dangerous out there alone. It's best that you stay at my camp till tomorrow, it'll be cold and dark soon, I even have some rations that you can have or the pheasant I have hunted."
The girl thought of his proposal for a bit.
"Ok…"
"Alright then, I'm Hugool."
"I'm Clementine."
Some time has passed as Hugool has hunted two rabbits on way to camp along with Clementine, though when they arrive back to camp.
"Kenny, I don't think it's a good idea to take this stuff."
"Why not? No one is here, and it'll do better for us to survive. We don't know where the hell we are."
"But Clementine is still missing."
Hearing her name, Clementine ran past Hugool towards the camp.
"Lee!"
"Clem!"
Hugool moves towards to see a Redguard man hugging Clementine. And a man, probably imperial, stopped and looked.
"Are you ok?" Lee asked.
"I'm ok, Hugool found me and let me come here for the night." Clementine said.
Lee looks up to the hidden High Elf.
"Thank you for finding Clementine."
"You're welcome though, mind telling your companion there to give up that satchel. It's mine."
"Kenny…"
The other man, Kenny, dropped the satchel down onto the ground.
"Yeah… sorry about that." Kenny apologized.
But any more conversation could continue, they heard a couple shots and a roar, then a few people came out of the foliage.
"Katjaa! Duck!" Kenny exclaimed.
"Lilly what the hell happened?!" Lee shouted.
"I get the feeling of what is going to happen." Hugool said knowing that roar.
Then two people came out with a large arm swipe. And came out is a large Troll.
"What the fuck is that!?" Kenny shouted.
Without saying anything Hugool removed his cloak and took off his hood showing his head. Everyone saw him in surprise, the High Elf then brought out his elven sword and his hand glowed red.
"I'm guessing this is your first time here?" Hugool said to the group.
"What are you on about?" Larry questions the elf.
"I'll answer your questions but now…" Hugool turned his head to the Troll "I'll deal with the troll."
And with that, Hugool charged at the troll, casting flames and striking at the beast.

Outside of Whiterun
"Everyone let's go!" Jacob shouted to his party.
The Helios party, Companions, Whiterun guards and Irileth, and the NCR First Recon. Running across the fields towards the western watchtower, where the dragon attacked.
Though there is one question that has been in Brayden's mind.
'Who's gonna be Dragonborn?' Brayden thought of the question.
But for the move that he thought about it as he ran with the others towards the tower, shield up and peered his eyes around the skies for the dragon, feeling the rush of the tension through the air and he controlled his stress with breathing.
He started looking towards Jacob and it occurred to him more of who might just be the Dragonborn. "Eyes peered at everyone, Betsy and Spades move up ahead with two of the Companions. Rest of you, spread into defense points." Lieutenant Gorobets commanded out and they followed their instructions.
"Ash, you and your friends take the sky." Jacob said to the Pokémon trainers.
The trainers then summoned their ride Pokémon and took off.
"They will be our eyes in the sky. Bo and Cat, once you enter the tower, check for wounded. The rest of us will cover the area with the guards and soldiers." Jacob instructed his party.
"Look at the tower, looks like they didn't get to send out the message in time." A Whiterun guard said.
The watchtower has an antenna attached to the tower but it looks a bit melted, probably from the dragon.
"Damn, that thing melted the dish, no wonder they couldn't warn in time."
"No signs of any dragon right now, but it sure looks like he's been here. I know it looks bad, but we've got to figure out what happened. And if that dragon is still skulking around somewhere. Spread out and look for survivors. We need to know what we're dealing with." Irileth said to the guards.
"It's a good thing that I brought this thing then." One of the Guards brought up a rocket launcher, catching everyone surprised. "Where did you get that?!" Another Guard said as he looked at the weapon with bewilderment.
"I "borrowed" it from the shop on our way out. Thought we could use it." He loaded a missile into it.
Looking around the area, there are a few military wall covers, a few sandbags for cover, and a couple of tables. Some of them are still on fire.
"Shor's Bones, Did it kill them all...?" A guard whispered, kicking a used can of food.
Just then a NCR trooper and a guard came out of the tower.
"No! Get back! It's still here somewhere! Hroki and Tor were almost grabbed when they tried to make a run for it!" A Whiterun guard shouted.
"Guardsman! What happened here? Where's this dragon? Quickly now!" Irileth demands the guard for answers.
"I don't know!"
"What about the other dragons that have riders?" Brayden asked.
Then the NCR soldier answered "They distracted it, but that dragon is coming back any minute."
Then they all hear a roar in the distance…
"Kynareth… save us, here he comes again..." the guard dreaded.
"Here he comes! Find cover and make every arrow and bullet count!" Irileth shouted.
For Brayden, coming down from the mountains with a roar is Mirmulnir.
He raised up his shield as he dotted over to the side with Spades and Betsy, watching as Mirmulnir was closing in fast.
"Thuri du hin sil ko Sovngarde!" (My overlord will devour your souls in Sovngarde!)
[One They Fear Plays…]
"Use range attacks, open fire!" Jacob shouted out as he fired his bastard rifle.
Everyone who has bows, guns, and range spells fire at the dragon. The spells splash onto the scaly hide and the bullets and arrows either graze or manage to piercing through.
The lone Whiterun guard that brought the missile launcher, brought it up and excitement build up in the Guard as he aimed at the dragon while the midst of fire erupt around him.
"FIRE IN THE HOLE!"
Pulling the trigger, the missile burst out from the launcher and sailed towards the dragon. Mirmulnir spotted it and tried to evade it. But a bit as the missile hit its right foot.
It exploded, taking part of the foot of Mirmulnir.
"Argh! Hi fen biis fah daar!" (You will pay for this!)
The Guard looked in shock before he broke in a cheer. "Haha! I have brought glory to myself!"
"Cheer later, keep up kid!" Corporal Sterling snapped the Guard's senses as Mirmulnir was coming around, enraged at the loss of parts of his foot.
"Pikachu use thunderbolt!" Ash shouted to his first Pokémon.
Pikachu jumped off into the air and unleashed an electric bolt at the dragon.
"Charizard use flamethrower!" Kiawe shouted as his Pokémon fired a torrent of flames from its mouth.
"Yol Toor Shul!"
Both dragons fire their respective flames as they collide. It causes an explosion in the air and smoke forms around.
"By the Nine this is getting insane!" A Whiterun guard exclaimed.
"Look out! That dragon is going after Lana!" Makayla shouted as Mirmulnir was chasing down the water trainer and her Dragonair.
"Zu'u fen naak hin sil nizah dovah!" (I will consume your soul, false dragon!)
"Lana get out of there!" Mallow shouted.
"Launch another missile!" Irileth said to the guard with the launcher.
"I can't! I might hit the girl and her beast!"
"Damn it! Makayla switch for fire bolts, and Olivia you-" Jacob order but was cut off by a voice.
"Toothless plasma blast!"
A purple ball of energy came out of nowhere and struck Mirmulnir's head causing it to become disoriented. Giving Lana and Dragonair a chance to escape.
"What in oblivion was that?!"
Brayden raises up his service rifle to shoot at the dragon, upon hitting it in the belly. The Canadian looked to where the blast had came and looked.
His eyes widened a bit and pointed over with his finger, getting noticed by others next to him. "Look! What's that?" There was something coming out from the clouds as shapes were forming out.
"I don't know but that Dragon is going to get a taste of my rocket again!" The Guard finally saw there was a chance he can shoot at the Dragon again. He opened fire but had done so too early, the missile barely glaze Mirmulnir's wing as it rolled out of the way.
"Gods damn you Dragon! I will shoot you again!" The Guard tried to reload while other shots were being made by the others.
"Wait Sasha what are you doing?!" Mateo shouted as the scout used her ODM and grapple onto the dragon's other foot.
Sasha maneuvers herself on top of Mirmulnir, she then uses her two swords and stabs the hide of the dragon's back to stabilize herself. She then brought her hunting bow and steel arrows she bought with Jacob's coin.
"What is she doing?!" Corporal Betsy looked in surprise at Sasha's actions, stopping her shooting to not hit Sasha. "Hopefully something to bring that blasted dragon down."
Sasha then unleashes arrow after arrow into the dragon's back. She stumbled a bit as Mirmulnir try to shake her off when she was about to aim at its wings.
"I had forgotten what fine sport you mortals can provide!" Mirmulnir roared.
"Is it mocking us?!" a Whiterun guard exclaimed.
"He'll pay for that, the lizard!" Kurumua growled and hoped for the chance that the Dragon would come down and present her the opportunity to use her axe on the Dragon.
"I'll get him!" The Whiterun Guard was readying up another rocket as the mixtures of arrows and bullets and blasts of magic struck hard on Mirmulnir.
Sasha, seeing this, manages to get off and fires her grapple onto the tower. But with the wind coming from Mirmulnir wings, it misses its mark and she begins to free fall.
"No! Sasha!" Jacob shouted.
Then something swooped by and grabbed Sasha. Brayden knew who saved her.
"Did you get her?" Hiccup said to Toothless.
The Night Fury looks down to see Sasha hanging on by its claws.
By now everyone on the ground and the Pokémon trainers in the air saw what transpired.
"What the? More Dragons?!" The Whiterun Guards were alarmed at the sight of them and grew concerned of the unknownity of them.
"Dragon Riders coming through!" Tuffnut announcing out loud.
Soon the forces on the ground sees the dragon riders from Berk assisting the trainers in the air attacking Mirmulnir.
"Zu'u lor Zu'u ofaal govir do hi nizah dovah!" (I thought I got rid of you false dragons!)
"This day gets weirder than the last couple days." Olivia said, casting more fireballs out of her staff.
"Hey I have an idea!" A NCR soldier from the tower announced. Coming down from the steps pulling a crate. Opening it some of them see…
"Are those C4?" Betsy asked.
"Yeah, some of the patrols found it from the portals."
"What are these?" Mateo questions.
"Think of these as blocks of explosions. I'll link them to connect with the detonator. We just have that dragon close to it!"
"I have an idea!" Jacob shouted "Amity!"
Amity Blight heard Jacob's call and approached the Nord while avoiding the dragon's frost attack.
"Yes Jacob?" Amity asked.
"How strong is your abomination? I have a plan." Jacob said.
While the group planned, Brayden and his party are still firing at the dragon.
And their ammunition is running low.
"I've got two missiles left!" The Whiterun guard with the launcher exclaimed.
"Conserve that! We're gonna need it for the right moment." Brayden reloaded up on his rifle and looked to where the Dragon was flying around, knowing they needed the last missiles as he watched as it tangled with the other Dragons and Pokémon.
"It's connected!" The NCR soldier said as he connected the detonator to the C4's attached to the crate.
"Amity, would you do the honor?" Jacob said as he sheath his gun and began casting Sun Fire. Spheres of light form in his hands and he begins to throw the Sun spheres at the dragon, gaining its attention.
"Hehe time give that Dragon aaa-nnn ee-energy boost!" Jack of Spades stuttered his words but his words carried the spirit of the mood even as Mirmulnir then made its direction towards them.
Roaring loudly as he wacks hard on two of the Dragon Riders that sent them dangerously spiraling as Mirmulnir accelerated his speed towards them.
"Amity, you might need these two." Olivia then tosses two bottles of Regenerative Magicka and Restore Magicka.
"I drink those two if I were to." Jacob said to the witch as he walked backwards as he kept the barrage.
Amity Blight then drinks the two bottles fast. And this where Brayden sees what Olivia was talking about in her notes.
Amity begins to shine a blue aura like in the game Brayden plays in the game when using restore Magicka but her veins begin to glow as well.
"We got one shot at this!" Mateo shouted as he switched his 357. Revolver with a double barrel shotgun.
Amity drew a circle in the air which was glowing purple. "Abomination, rise!"
A puddle of purple goop begins to form in front of her and moments later it begins to rise.
"You are brave. Bahlaan hokoron. (Worthy enemies.) Your defeat brings me honor." Mirmulnir roared.
"What did that scaled bastard say?" Betsy was getting more angered by this dragon.
"Amity it's now or never!" Luz Noceda shouted.
A golem of purple goop rises out of the ground and it's bigger than the one Amity summoned back in the bandit cave.
The abomination grabbed the crate with the armed C4 and with might, throwing the crate in the air and crashing into the dragon, the goop from the abomination is stuck on Mirmulnir right side.
Underneath the wing.
"Now!" Betsy shouted.
"See you in hell…" the NCR soldier said, pulling the trigger on the detonator.
A loud explosion erupted into the air as the crate exploded and Mirmulnir roared in extreme pain.
"Nooo!"
The dragon loses descent and crashes into the ground. Everyone dodged who was in its way, with the dragon nearly crashing into the tower.
Then a large piece of Mirmulnir's wing crashed almost next to Brayden.
"Did we win?" Makayla asked.
"I think so." Brayden looked at the wing that had nearly hit him, feeling Kurumua and Ria coming up next to him with Aela.
"By the Gods. A real life Dragon…" Ria still couldn't believe this was happening, the fight was unlike any she experienced and to see even these other ones was strange enough.
The dragon riders and the Pokémon trainers landed on the ground and stepped forward with the group.
"By the gods we killed a dragon!" The Whiterun guard cheers as the other guards join the cheer as well.
"I wouldn't be sure." Brayden said, knowing how the dragon dies.
And his assumption turned out right. Mirmulnir roared out in pain as it limped up but still held its standing.
Even with one foot.
"I'm impressed mortals! Nuz nid trun fos (But no matter what), I'm taking you down with me!" Mirmulnir then unleashed a torrent of frost at the group.
Olivia and a few witches cast barriers to protect the others from the cold blast.
"This is it!" Jacob shouted "Attack!"
At his words, those that hold melee weapons on the Helios party, Companions, or the NCR and Whiterun guards charges against Mirmulnir while the others lay down fire of lead, arrows, and spells.
But in this case…
"Firing missiles!" The guard with the launcher yelled out firing at Mirmulnir.
Everyone heard it quickly got out of the way. But Mirmulnir isn't going to die yet.
Using its strength, it managed to leap with only one foot, but it failed as it struck its tail, blowing it off.
"This is ridiculous!" Betsy said. "All that and it's still not down!"
"We need reinforcements! I'm calling Mccarran or Whiterun!" A Whiterun guard exclaimed. But he has to take cover as the dragon unleashes flames at the group. "Agh! We need help!"
"We can't back out now! Keep fighting!" Jacob shouted as he summoned more spears at Mirmulnir.
"WRETCH FOOLS! I'LL DESTROY YOU AL-" Mirmulnir's speech was halted by a sudden missile blast that struck hard under his chin, blowing him back and roaring in pain and anger as he fell on his back.
"Where did that come from?!" That missile didn't come from any of them, Brayden caught sight of something coming fast in the sky, seeing a black and gray blur that went by around the air that too caught the others attention. "What's that? Another Dragon?" Asked one of the Guards, wondering what was happening.
Irileth though noted the size was wrong. "It's far too small and it looks more like a person." Indeed the shape was humanoid and as the view became more clear to them, the more they realized who this was.
'... No way. Airazor?!' Brayden felt shock and an immense feeling of nostalgia hit him as he realized it was another Beast Wars character that has appeared before them, watching as the female Maximal maneuver around as Mirmulnir started to get himself starting flying back up, letting out shouts and growing more enraged as Airazor kept firing at him.
"Seems like all the big reptiles have a bad attitude." Remarked Airazor as she was reminded of Megatron in seeing rage rolling off from the Dragon. She looked towards the others and felt strong shock overcome her. "Humans? How?" Airazor was beginning to wonder was she even on the same planet or timeline that standing there and armed to the teeth were fully evolved humans!
Not to give the others a break of unexpected moments, another was about to arrive. "Hey watch out! We got a tiger coming here!" A Guard alerted everyone to the white tiger that was racing down through the road.
But Brayden knows who the tiger is and everyone hears the Maximal line.
"Tigertron, MAXIMIZE!"
Everyone watches as the tiger changes as the fur separates and shifts revealing a metal body as it stands up on two legs. Tigertron then brings up his energy blaster and fires off at the side of the dragon. Airazor closed in to join into the attack, making Mirmulnir in further deep anger as the Mamixals pressured the attack.
"Skyrim is getting weirder, more interesting, and intense by the day." Olivia said.
"They look like Rhinox. Those must be his people, the Maximals." Aela called it right as she said this to Brayden's earshot.
Seeing the dragon distracted, Jacob begins to run towards Mirmulnir, everyone saw what he's about to do.
"What the hell is he doing?!" Betsy yelled.
"Jacob!" Boscha shouted.
Helios then summoned his Aedric spear and he jumped and brought down the spear into Mirmulnir's neck.
The dragon roared, lifting its head with Jacob on it. Lifting himself up, Jacob then brought out his dagger and repeatedly stabbed his dagger into Mirmulnir's eye.
"Cousin!" Mateo shouted.
The dragon head is then brought down by Tigertron firing a missile out of his arm and hitting its neck.
Using the momentum, Helios climbed up and onto Mirmulnir's head. He summoned another spear and he kept piercing into the head.
"By the gods, he's doing it!"
Bringing out the steel ax Jarl Balgruuf has given him. He brought it down into the open wound on Mirmulnir's head he made. A sickening crunch is heard as the steel blade of the ax crashes through the skull.
"D- Dovahkiin?! NOOOO!"
Mirmulnir roared its last roar as the dragon's pathetically thrash as its body began to collapse onto the ground. Helios jumped off and crashed onto the ground with a groan.
The dragon exhales its last breath…
Mirmulnir is no more…
…
…
…
"The dragon is dead… we WON!" Mateo shouted in cheer.
The Nords of Skyrim yelled out in cheer at the defeat of Mirmulnir.
"Jacob are you alright?" Lana asked as she and Boscha came towards the Nord who pick himself up.
"I'm fine. Just need to heal a bit." Jacob said as his hands glow yellow as he cast rush blessing to heal.
"I can't believe we- What in Oblivion?!" A guard exclaimed as everyone saw what's happening.
The dragon corpse begins to glow as flames from within burn the dragon's flesh into ashes and embers. Wisps of energy flow out of the dragon and into Helios.
"Jacob!" Both the Helios party and the Companions shouted. "By the Matrix!" Tigertron looked shocked at what he was seeing, Airazor landed down next to him and moved her arm through the gathered energy. "My readings are almost overloading from this!" Airazor almost had to beast-mode after her HUD-screen went almost buggy.
The wind of energy surrounds Helios as he looks at himself, feeling as if something unlocks within him. The energy dissipates and all that is left of the dragon is its skeletal body.
"I… I can't believe it. You… you are the Dragonborn." The Whiterun guard with the launcher said.
"Dragonborn? What are you talking about?" Betsy questions.
"We are in the dark here as well." Sophocles said as the trainers, witches, dragon riders agreed as well.
"In the very oldest tales, back when there still were dragons in Skyrim, the Dragonborn would slay dragons and steal their power." The guard answered and turned to Helios. "That's what you did, isn't it? Absorbed that dragon's power?"
"So the stories were true…" Helios looked at himself to see anything different.
"There's only one way to find out. Try to Shout... According to the old legends, only the Dragonborn can Shout without training, the way the dragons do."
Then Jacob remembered the word back at Bleak Falls Barrow.
"Force… Fus… FUS!" Jacob unleashed a blast of wind into the air.
Everyone was surprised by this.
"That's it! You really are Dragonborn."
"Dragonborn? What are you talking about?" The NCR trooper from the tower asked.
"That's right! My grandfather used to tell stories about the Dragonborn. Those born with the Dragon Blood in 'em. Like old Tiber Septim himself." The other guard said.
"Tiber Septim?" Skara asked.
"He was the first Emperor of Cyrodiil that created the empire." Olivia explained.
"I never heard of Tiber Septim killing any dragons." One of the guards said.
"There weren't any dragons then, idiot. They're just coming back now for the first time in... forever. But the old tales tell of the Dragonborn who could kill dragons and steal their power. You must be one! And a resident of Whiterun added that."
What do you say, Irileth? You're being awfully quiet." The guard said to the Dark elf.
"Come on, Irileth, tell us, do you believe in this Dragonborn business?"
"Hmph. Some of you would be better off keeping quiet than flapping your gums on matters you don't know anything about. Here's a dead dragon, and that's something I definitely understand. Now we know we can kill them. But I don't need some mythical Dragonborn. Someone who can put down a dragon is more than enough for me." Irileth answered.
"You wouldn't understand, Housecarl. You ain't a Nord."
"I've been all across Tamriel. I've seen plenty of things just as outlandish as this. I'd advise you all to trust in the strength of your sword arm over tales and legends." Irileth replied. "And we must keep this a secret."
"What?! Why? With the return of the Dragonborn, it'll give Skyrim hope!"
"Or it'll cause a ruckus, the holds will take this or gods forbid the Stormcloaks an advantage. As far the rest of knows, groups of dedicated soldiers, adventurers, and the people of the portals slayed the dragon-"
But what happened next didn't help her.
Voices of Thunder resounding across the land as everyone covered their ears.
"DOV-AH-KIIN!"
Riften
"Captain Kells! Do we have a pinpoint of where that came from?!" On the deck of the Prydwen was the mobilizing of Brotherhood personnel and Elder Arthur Maxson looking towards the landscape of Riften from his bridge.
Even from the distance, he can make out the commotion from the loud shout that had erupted out, it had been unlike anything that the young Elder had ever experienced.
And it set him more on the nerve of the factoring of magic being brought forward once again. "Yes Elder! It appears it had come from High Hrothgar. The mountain by the town of Ivarstead." Captain Kells then took a report paper from a Scribe, reading it through before dismissing the Scribe.
"What are your orders sir?"
Elder Maxson rubbed his chin in thought, before he looked at Captain Kells directly. "Have three vertibirds be sent with squads towards Ivarstead, have as well the Freedom League prove themselves by providing a platoon of their own to accompany." Referring to one of their now new allies building into his Chapter's Ranks, he wished to see further of their capability and was more than seeing great value in their technology, liking much of the mindset he was seeing in the oddly similar Elven Soldiers in their advanced blue battle armor.
"We are tough to make our full grip on Riften. Having a Vertibird prepped for me, I am going to pay the Jarl a visit to see Justice done. Have her son meet me there." Though he had his doubts about the one that had been brought onto the ship earlier before, he had agreed to work with them.
Saerlund still had his uses. "Yes Elder! I'll have a Scribe tell him at once." Captain Kells had his own misgivings about the son of the Jarl, but he was not in disagreement of the value of having him join the Brotherhood of Steel as an image of legitimacy to these people.
Arthur Maxson nodded and began his way towards the readying Vertibird, his plans for the Hold were about to be commenced forward.
Falkreath Forest
"What the hell is that?!" Lee exclaimed as his group covered their ears at the call.
Hugool was harvesting the troll fat from the dead troll when they heard the call.
"So… the Dragonborn arrives…" Hugool said, looking at the sky.
"What was that?" Carley questions the Altemer.
"It's the legend that has come home for the Nordic People of Skyrim. "Rest up, we have much to discuss."
Forest edge of Whiterun
"Christ that was loud!" Arthur Morgan of the Van der Linde gang shouted.
"What the hell was that?!" Dutch said as rub his ears from the call.
"Something tells me, us being here in this world is going to affect others as well." Hosea said. "I'm heading back to Whiterun to get more information on what that call is."
"I'll join you." Arthur said as both cowboys got on their horses and left their camp.
The Van der Linde gang is going to be part of the events to come.
Around the Reach
"My Lord! The sound appears to have came from the East of here!" An Ashigaru Foot-soldier knelt before the So Clan command tent, Yoshitoshi's retainers looked in intrigue as their previous shock and panicked from the immense sound that erupted out so loudly that it shook the lands, was slowly wearing off as they collected themselves to listen.
So Yoshitoshi thought of this. "Has the rest of our men calmed down?" Thinking in concern of his people's morale, not wanting the construction progress to be halted as he eyed the now empty spaces of workers who had been to the building of his new fortress.
He did not wish to implement harsh means of putting them back to work. "Yes my Lord! They are collecting themselves at the center, the merchants we've allowed in have offered drinks and food to calm their nerves. We've watched them and nothing treacherous has been seen of them, our translator tells us this was a message by the 'Greybeards'. They are somekind of shamans to the people of this land."
"Interesting. It appears that it was right of you to allow them in, Nensho." Daimyo Yoshitoshi looked to a middle age Samurai in red with colorations of orange armor sitted in the middle row of his retainers, his greying hair done in traditional bun with the top head left bald and wrinkles on his weathered face, a scar on his forehead and an large pole-axe resting on his shoulder.
"Hai my Liege. They will do us well in their service, they have provided much knowledge." Retainer Nensho bowed in appreciation to his Lord's praise, happy to know he had brought worthy service.
Daimyo So Yoshitoshi than looked towards all his retainers to commence his next orders. "We shall begin and we were doing before, but we shall have our first scouting force commence ahead now. Captain Toshiba!" A Samurai in gold and black armor stepped out and knelt next to the Ashigaru, facing forward his liege.
"Captain Toshiba, you will take 500 men and move to scout more of our surrounding area. Report back through communication of what you find." The introduction of radios to them was proving much of a great benefit to them.
"Hai!" And with that, the Japanese were on the move…
Around Riften Forest
"What the…" Looking in surprise shock while on top of a carriage within a road filled by a variety of travelers attempting to make their way into Riften, was a beautiful Altmer woman wearing a cloaked hood consisting of her golden elven features.
She and the rest of those on the road were in shock of the shout that had just rang out across Skyrim, looking at the direction it had come from.
'Just what is going on in Skyrim?' The Altmer Woman could only wonder in concern of what more was coming to the lands of the Nords.
Winterhold
"So… the time has come…" Mia said as the students of Hope Peak and Winterhold covered their ears at the call.
"What was that?" Chihiro Fujisaki the Ultimate Programmer asked.
"Scanning… archive review shows that was the call of the Greybeards. A group dedicated to studying the voice of the dragon. Their call shows the Dragonborn has arrived." I-Light answered.
"If the Graybeards call for the Dragonborn that means… the dragons have returned…" Mia realized.
Western Watchtower
"What the hell was that?!" Betsy exclaimed.
"That was a call from the Greybeards from High Hrothgar!" The guard answered.
"Uh… Irileth about keeping this a secret." One of the guards dumbly said.
Irileth turned to the guard that spoke with eyes twitching with irritation. The guard stepped back but was too late.
"Get the wounded into a cart." Irileth ordered.
"We… don't have a cart…"
"Go get one."
"… yes Housecarl… I radio it in."
