"The Quest of the Brave 12 Begins"
J.D., Varie, Vince, Naruto, Sakura, Fu, Jessie, Laney, Lincoln, Lisa, and Lily were all in the Simulator. This is going to be a long exercise, and they have seals on their bodies that keep them from aging.
The Simulator activated, and they were transported to the world of Samurai Jack.
"Awesome!" J.D. yelled. "We're in the world of Samurai Jack."
"This show was incredible," Vince commented.
"I agree," Lincoln answered. "Aku tossed Jack into the future, and he's now trying to find his way back."
"What happened to this whole city?" Lisa wondered.
"From what I remember, Aku changed the planet forever, and the landscape has been radically altered," J.D. explained.
"No kidding," Varie replied. "The whole world has been completely changed as a result."
"These cities are unlike anything any human has ever seen before," Laney noted.
"Why would this Aku do all of this?" Fu wondered.
"He's the ultimate Evil," Vince declared. "Aku is pure evil, immortal and invincible, and the only thing that can destroy him forever is the sword that Samurai Jack possesses."
"Wow," Sakura exclaimed. "That sword must be extremely powerful."
"It is," J.D. confirmed.
A whoosh could be heard.
Naruto points to the sky. "Guys, look up there!"
They saw a time wormhole open, and Samurai Jack himself emerged from it.
"It's Jack!" shouted Naruto. "I've got this!"
Naruto flew up and caught him, spreading his wings.
"Are you okay?" Naruto inquired.
"Yes," Jack answered. "Many thanks."
Jack and Naruto touched down.
"Nice save, bro," J.D. praised.
"Thank you, J.D," Naruto said.
"We should introduce ourselves, Jack," J.D. offered. "I'm J.D. Knudson."
"I'm Vince Pusateri," Vince introduced himself.
"I'm Varie Knudson, J.D.'s fiancée," Varie introduced herself..
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze," Naruto introduced himself.
"My name is Sakura Haruno," Sakura introduced herself.
"I'm Fu," Fu introduced herself. "I don't have a last name."
"My name is Jessie Bannon," Jessie introduced herself.
"My name is Lincoln Loud, and these are my little sisters Laney, Lisa, and Lily," Lincoln explained.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Jack," Laney said.
"Greetings," Lisa said.
"It's a pleasure," Lily added.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all," Jack replied. "Where am I?"
"You're actually in a city with a radically altered landscape because of Aku," J.D. explained.
"Aku?" Jack asked.
"Yeah," Vince nodded. "Aku cast a spell that sent you into the far future."
"It allowed Aku's evil to fester and take over the planet," Lincoln continued.
"I see," Jack acknowledged. "So the question isn't where I am, but when I am."
"Exactly," Laney agreed.
"We're going to help you get back home," Laney said.
Jack said, "I would really appreciate that."
"All right guys, we're going to be known as the Brave 12, and our mission is to help Jack return back to his time in the past," J.D. explained.
" "Thank you all," Jack responded. "I must return to my own time so that I can undo Aku's evil reign before it envelopes the Earth. This ageless demon must be stopped."
"And we're all going to work together to stop him," J.D. emphasized.
"This is all very confusing to me," Jack confessed.
"I know," J.D. admitted. "Let's go get a drink."
They approached a door, and J.D. knocked on it. Three sliding windows slide open.
"What do you want?" questioned the bouncer.
"We'd like to come in for a drink, please," J.D. requested.
"A drink?" asked the bouncer. "Of course. Come on in."
The windows closed, the door slid open, and techno rock music began playing.
"Wow!" exclaimed J.D. "That's hardcore rock music."
They entered and saw that the bar was full of alien creatures unlike anything they'd ever seen before. Most of them resembled humans.
"These guys are weird," Varie commented.
"No kidding," Vince agreed.
"I must admit," Jessie continued. "This is incredible."
"I agree," Lincoln added.
"Look at that guy," Naruto said, pointing to a creature that resembled a slug commando.
"And what are you looking at!" shouted the creature.
He jumped over the table, and J.D. hit him in the face as he was ready to attack, sending him crashing into a table.
"Don't even think about it, slugface!" J.D. snarled.
The creature rose to his feet. "Humans, you've got some nerve!"
"We have not yet begun to fight," Vince replied.
The creature drew out a strange sword.
J.D. unsheathed his sword and slashed the creature's arm off.
It alerted more of his kind and they attacked. They fired missiles, which they deflected and destroyed.
Three talking dogs at a booth saw them fighting and approached them.
"Pardon me, fine sir," a dog uttered with a British accent.
J.D. knelt. "Yes?"
"My friends and I would like to offer the chance to join us."
"Certainly," J.D. responded. "Let's go to a booth and talk."
At a booth they were looking at them with curious expressions. A waitress arrived.
A waitress announced, "Your refreshments are here."
"Splended."
She handed them their drinks.
"My friends I do apologize how rude of us. We haven't introduced ourselves." He introduces the yellow dog. "This is Sir Dreyfus Alexander - Chief of Excavation. Um Dreyfus old boy. You're drooling again."
"Huh, oh!" muttered Dreyfuss. "Sorry."
He blubbered and drooled all over them, but their auras protected them.
"You blasted idiot, you're getting everybody wet!" yelled a dog in a Scottish accent.
"And this fine gentleman is Angus McDuffey - Artifact Aficionado. And I am Sir Colon Bartholemew Montgomery Rothchild III or Rothy for short." He then chuckles.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all," J.D. replied. "I'm James Dean Knudson. But my friends call me J.D."
"I'm Varie Knudson, J.D.'s fiancée," Varie introduced herself.
"I'm Vince Pusateri," Vince introduced himself.
"I'm Jessica Bannon," Jessie introduced herself. "But everyone calls me Jessie."
"I'm Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze," Naruto introduced himself.
"My name is Sakura Haruno," Sakura introduced herself.
"I'm Fu," Fu introduced himself. "I don't have a last name."
"My name is Lincoln Loud, and these are my little sisters Laney, Lisa, and Lily," Lincoln explained.
"It's a pleasure," Laney added.
"Greetings, my friends," Lisa said.
"Charmed," Lily added.
"And my name is Jack," Jack introduced himself.
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you," Rothy remarked.
"This is all very confusing to me," Jack admitted.
Rothy reacted with a firm, "No, no, no, no quite all right. Quite all right. Since the beginning of history, the immortal Aku has ruthlessly ruled the Earth. Plundering its resources as he sees fit. But it wasn't enough. He opened his ports to the galaxy in order to take the riches of other worlds as well. Since then, his otherworldly business dealings have attracted swarms of vicious criminals, mindless stooges, and questionable mercenaries to our pitiable planet. If I do say so myself, the Earth is becoming topsy-turvy."
"We believe it," J.D. affirmed. "Aku has radically altered the landscape in such a way."
"There are other worlds across the stars?" Jack asked.
"That's right, Jack," J.D. confirmed. "Are we alone in the universe? was one of humanity's greatest mysteries. The answer is no, we are not. We are all from Earth."
"Yes," Jack confirmed. "This world is not the same as the one I remember. Even the grandest cities were not as overwhelming as this one. Chariets could not fly, and dogs could not communicate in human language."
"He's right," Varie pointed out. "We mean no disrespect to you. Our dogs are wonderful companions, and they only barked."
"Yeah," Lincoln agreed.
Dreyfus gasped.
"You see, the ancient myths are true!" Rothy declared.
"Impossible!" Angus insisted. "If what you're saying is true, they must be thousands of years old."
Rothy checked Jack and received a reading.
Rothy gasped. "Astounding! The age-ometer dates your particles all the way back to 25 B.A. 25 Years before Aku enslaved the Earth. You, Jack, are a living fossil."
"You were right, J.D," Jack noted.
"Mm-hmm," J.D. murmured. "We are from the year 2017. What year are you from, Jack?"
"If I may," Rothy continued, "I believe he would be from the year 200 B.C."
"That was over 2,000 years ago from our time," Naruto revealed.
"Right," Angus replied.
"What is the year now?" J.D. asked.
"The year would be 10,533 A.D.," Rothy explained.
"We're way in the future," Sakura commented.
"No kidding," Fu agreed.
"We are known as the Brave 12, and our mission is to not only help Jack return to the past, but also to destroy Aku," J.D. explained.
"Isn't anyone going to hear us in here?" Lily wondered.
"No," J.D. replied. "I erected a sound barrier to keep sound from escaping, so no one can hear us."
"Good thinking," Naruto noted.
"Oh, I'm so glad we agree on that," Rothy enthused. "Which takes us back to our proposal. We are archaeologists, digging up the remains of our ancestors in order to learn more about our past. It was only a few years ago that we discovered our ancestors walked on their legs and arms."
"Then one day, during our excavation, we actually found upon rare jewels," Dreyfus recounted.
"Aye," Angus agreed. "These jewels ended up being a key source of power for Aku."
"So he enslaved us to dig up his jewels forever, therefore hindering our excavation of our glorious past," Rothy continued. "Which is why we need you."
"You called the right people, and we will gladly help you," J.D. answered.
"Splended," Rothy replied. "All right, then, we're off."
Jack and the dogs boarded a ship and flew to the skies. Naruto was carrying Jessie. They flew over the landscape and saw that it was altered much worse than what they first thought.
When they arrived at the Dog's camp, they were amazed by the sight. Lots of old relics from the past were dug up, as well as numerous clusters of crystals.
"Welcome to our camp," Rothy welcomed everyone. "As you can see, our archaeological dig uncovered many fascinating discoveries about the history of the canine species. But, unfortunately, Aku has redirected our efforts solely toward the excavation of his precious gems, and if Aku's unreasonable quottas are not fully met, I'm afraid terrible punishments will be exacted."
They saw a lot of dogs crucified to horned structures.
"My people's spirits are broken," Rothy lamented. "We simply cannot live like this any longer!"
Aku was making the dogs work nonstop and they were suffering as a result.
"I have seen Aku implement these atrocities before but no more," Jack said. "Even dogs should not be forced to live like dogs."
"I agree," J.D. added. "No offense, Rothy."
"None taken," Rothy replied.
"All right," J.D. declared. "Lets get to work."
"Right," Naruto nodded.
Naruto gathered the dogs and told them everything there was to know about Aku's evil oppression and more. They abandoned their work. The dogs owed them their entire lives. J.D. erected a special barrier to keep Aku from seeing the dogs that were not working.
"Of course, J.D.," Rothy answered. "It was a truly noble deed you all performed today, and a historical record worthy of our logs. You saved our entire pack from Aku's tyranny. We are forever indebted to you."
"Think nothing of it," J.D. replied. "But it is our mission to oppose Aku's minions and free everyone oppressed by him, as well as to help Jack in returning to the past and destroying Aku himself."
"Thank you so much," Rothy said. "Now that we are free, we shall take our leave of these forsaken mines. Our pack shall once again continue to unearth new discoveries to our puzzling history."
"I wish you the best," Jack added.
Jack and Rothy shook hands.
"We certainly invite you to join us," Rothy remarked.
"I wish we could, Rothy," J.D. admitted. "Aku's wrongs must be righted."
"Yes," Jack confirmed. "Surely there's a way to break his spell."
"We will help Jack find a way back to his own time and finish what he started centuries ago, defeating Aku's evil before it was ever unleashed," Varie promised.
Vince added, "And Aku will pay for what he did to our planet.
"Yeah," Naruto agreed.
"That's right," Jessie added. "We're not going to let him get away with this."
"The Brave 12's Quest has begun," J.D. declared.
