"The Brave 12 and the 3 Blind Archers"
The Brave 12 were on a boat heading to their next destination when they heard a strange story told by a man.
"I was the only survivor," claimed the first man. "My entire robot army, COMPLETELY ANNIHILATED! In my dreams, I still see arrows falling like rain."
"What does the tower hold that would make you sacrifice an army?" questioned the second man. "Treasure, gold, rubies?"
"Bah!" the first man scoffed. "There is nothing more materialistic than treasure. At the top of the tower is a mystical well, the Well of King Ozric. Those that reach the infamous well are granted one wish. Your greatest desire."
They had overheard the entire exchange and decided it was worth a shot.
"This very well could be the key to getting you home, Jack," J.D. concluded.
"It sure looks like it," Jack responded.
"Let's go ask," Vince suggested.
They got up and asked the man.
"Excuse me?" asked J.D. "Is the Well of King Ozric real?"
"Of course!" the man replied. "In fact, we're passing by it right now. There."
The man pointed to the island to the right. "In the center of that mist-shrouded isle lies the treasure of King Ozric."
"Thank you," Jack replied.
They were ready to walk there when the man stopped them.
"Wait!" yelled the man. "I beg you all. Reconsider. There are only three archers, and yet they decimated my whole army."
"Thank you for the warning, sir," J.D. replied. "We heard you talking about these archers, and they must be worth a challenge. But that well could very well complete our mission."
"Yes," Jack agreed. "That might just get me home."
"There are other ways to get home," the man claimed.
"Not for Jack here," Vince tried to explain. "He's from 10,700 years ago."
"And we won't stop until we complete our mission," Sakura added.
They then took a boat across to the island and landed.
"Quaint place," J.D. commented.
"Yes," Jack agreed.
They traveled through the forest till they arrived at King Ozric's Tower.
"That must be it," Laney concluded.
"It sure is," Naruto agreed.
"It's just a lone tower," Fu noted.
"Yeah," Varie agreed.
"If the archers are there, maybe we can get their attention," J.D. suggested.
He picked up a rock and threw it at the tower, and arrows struck it out of nowhere, reducing it to the size of a grain of sand.
"Whoa!" cried J.D.
"That is really great marksmanship," Lily commented.
"They all hit their target on the spot," Lincoln noted.
"They're coming out," Vince said.
J.D. took out his binoculars and studied the archers.
"The archers are blind!" J.D. cried.
"Really?" Varie asked.
"Yeah," J.D. responded. "Look."
He passed the binoculars to Varie, and she saw he was right.
"You're right," Varie acknowledged. "So that's how they hit their target with no problems. They rely on sound and feeling the vibrations in the air of all things."
"Very clever," Naruto commented.
"This is Aku's handiwork," J.D. noted.
"Aku?" Jack asked. "What do you mean, J.D.?"
"He flooded the well with his evil and poisoned it," J.D. explained.
"Yeah," Laney agreed. "I can sense it."
"Me too," Jessie replied.
"Then we have to help the archers," Jack answered.
"Yeah," Sakura agreed. "They must be people under the curse of the well."
"How are we going to get close to the well?" Fu wondered. "Those archers are going to kill us."
"We must fight on their level," Vince declared.
"Oh, I get it," J.D. exclaimed. "Fight fire with fire."
Vince agreed, saying, "Exactly."
They put on blindfolds, relying solely on sound, and had a good chance.
"Let's do it," J.D. said.
"I am ready," Jack declared.
They ran towards the tower and the Archers heard them coming and fired 3 arrows at them. They heard the arrows coming by feeling the vibrations in the air through sound. They dodged them and moved in different directions and, dodging more arrows as they ran. They got under the tower and the archers tried looking for them with their ears. They jumped onto the tower and went high into the sky and landed on the tower and the Archers fired arrows at them, and they ducked, and they struck each other and ricocheted off each other and hit the archers head on. They took off their blindfolds, and they saw black slime ooze off the archers, and the archers were really monks.
The black slime returned to the well, and the monks reclaimed their identities.
The first monk groans. "Where? What?"
The monks' vision returned to them.
"I can see!" cried the first monk.
"We've been restored," the second monk added.
"How is it possible?" wondered the third monk.
The monks saw them and realized they were responsible for their release.
"You all have broken our curse!" cried the third monk. "We thank you."
"You're welcome," J.D. replied. "We are the Brave 12, and we originally came to make a wish at this well."
"The well is yours," the third monk said.
They approached the well.
In a gurgling voice, the well said, "Proclaim your wish, great warriors, and it will be fulfilled beyond your wildest dreams."
"We must warn you all," urged the first monk. "Any wish granted comes with a price.
"We kind of figured that," J.D. confessed. "This well was corrupted because of Aku."
"We know," the first monk acknowledged. "It was forever ago we fought long and hard to reach this well. When we got to it, we stood before the well and made our wish: to be the greatest of warriors. The spirit of the well did indeed make us great warriors. But in so doing robbed us of our sight and our minds. Enslaving us as its personal guard. We have lived cursed lives until now."
"Yeah," J.D. acknowledged. "Our original intention was to use the well to help Jack return to his time period 10,700 years ago. But we had a strong suspicion that the well does not give anything away for free. We figured out that this was Aku's handiwork, and we came to free you after figuring it out. Come on, guys."
They prepared their swords and stood on all 12 sides of the well.
Everyone said, "YOU WILL NOT CLAIM MORE INNOCENTS, EVIL SPIRIT OF THE WELL! WE WISH THEE DESTROYED!"
They stabbed the well, and the black slime rose into the sky and disintegrated into nothing.
They sheathed their swords and decided to leave the island.
Lisa used her technokinetic powers to build laser guns for them.
They freed the monks from Aku's evil with immeasurable sacrifice and selflessness.
