AN: Hello, and thank you to Goku275, Kriim-Sauce786, and ShadowScythe666 for your reviews of chapter 2. I believe I mentioned this in chapter 1, but to reiterate, there will be no lemons in this story. I do not know how to write one, nor do I feel comfortable writing (much less posting) something that explicit. It is feels a bit embarrassing, especially since I am a virgin. I do hope you enjoy my story regardless.
Without further ado, chapter 3!
Dear Natsu,
After leaving Magnolia, Wally, Shô, and I decided to continue north to Onibus Town. There, we saw an exciting play called "Frederick and Yanderica." This gave Wally the idea for us to put on performances with our magic for money. Wally turned into a bunch of scattered blocks and Shô captured them with his cards. Then, I pulled all the cards together with my nekōsoku tubes and nullified their magic, freeing a completed Wally. We did this for a few days and earned a bunch of Jewels.
Eventually, we decided to move on to the next town. We took a train (so long and fast!) to Oshibana Town. We performed a few more times but didn't make as much as in Onibus. Wally thinks it was because Onibus is a city of performers. It doesn't matter, though, since we made enough money to cover a few days here.
We were going to keep going north, but apparently something big happened up that way. We decided to go west instead and make our way towards the capital. I can't wait to see what Crocus has to offer!
I miss you already. Can't wait for your reply.
From,
Millianna
Millianna,
Fairy Tail was that something big! Well, us, Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, Cait Shelter, and a dark guild named Oración Seis! The dark guild was trying to get this ancient magic tool called Nirvana, so Gramps had me, Happy, Erza, Lucy, and Gray join up with members of the other light guilds to take down Oración Seis!
Lamia Scale sent Lyon (the guy ice stripper learned magic alongside), Sherria (one of Lyon's lackeys from Galuna Island), and Jura (one of the Ten Wizard Saints, like Gramps)! As for Blue Pegasus, their guys seemed like a bunch of weirdos at first but were actually pretty tough! And Cait Shelter sent a girl named Wendy (who's a 1st generation dragon slayer like me) and a cat named Carla (who can talk and grow wings like Happy)!
But those dark guild bastards were strong! They got the jump on us, kidnapped Wendy and Happy, and even poisoned Erza! Luckily, I was able to find Oración Seis' base, but I found something shocking!
Jellel is alive, and the dark guild made Wendy heal him! He ran off before I could do anything, so I grabbed Happy and Wendy and brought them back to Erza! Wendy cured her, and she rushed off to find Jellel the moment we looked away!
After that, Oración Seis found Nirvana! Apparently, it could turn good people bad and bad people good! I went out to fight the dark guild, but a fake Gray tricked me onto a raft and Lucy had to save me!
It got worse when I fought Cobra, the guy who poisoned Erza. He was a 2nd generation dragon slayer like Laxus, but with poison instead of lightning! The guy had really strong hearing and could predict my attacks!
I only got a few hits in before we landed on Nirvana, which was apparently a huge, six-legged vehicle! I got motion sick, and Cobra was about to finish me off when his own ally took him out! Then that backstabbing ally grabbed me to test out Nirvana on before using it on Cait Shelter! The others had to bail me out again, though on the bright side I got to see Jura kick that bastard's ass! Plus, Wendy was able to use her magic to cure my motion sickness!
Unfortunately, that backstabber was also a coward! When we left to shut down Nirvana, he set off an explosive trap! Jura shielded us from the worst of it but got pretty beaten up!
Next, things got a bit weird when that backstabber's staff started talking! It told us that Cait Shelter was made up of the descendants of the people who created Nirvana, and that they were Oración Seis' first target! After that, the stick tried to attack us, though it was more annoying than anything! At least, until it revealed that the backstabber had a more powerful split personality named "Zero," the guild master of Oración Seis who only awakens when all of other members are defeated!
Zero showed up, pounded us into the ground, and fired Nirvana's good-to-evil ray! Luckily, Lyon, Sherria, and the guys from Blue Pegasus were able to bomb one of Nirvana's legs and the blast just shot off into the sky!
Hibiki, one of the Blue Pegasus guys, telepathically told us Nirvana's weakness! It was powered by six Lacrima, one in each leg, that had to be destroyed at the same time or else they would restore each other! Zero intercepted our communication and told us he would be guarding one of the legs! Hibiki used his magic to give us each a timer so we could destroy the legs at the same time! Only me, Gray, Lucy, Ichiya (a Blue Pegasus weirdo, but the strongest one), Erza, and Wendy were well enough to break the Lacrima!
I went to the leg I smelled Zero in and began fighting him! The guy wasn't the guild master for nothing though! He was winning, when suddenly Jellel show up! Jellel claimed that he lost all his memories and was there to help me!
Obviously, I didn't believe him and punched him in the face! But then, he used his body to shield me from one of Zero's attacks, just like Simon did in the Tower! And as he was falling to the ground, Jellel made a golden flame with his magic and asked me to eat it! I did, and it gave me the same power as when I ate that Lacrima in the Tower!
Even with that power boost, fighting Zero was still a challenge! But will all my comrades relying on me, their emotions and faith supporting me, there was no way I could lose! I blasted that dark mage right through the Lacrima just as Hibiki's timer ran out, defeating him as we all destroyed Nirvana!
Everybody regrouped after that, including a member of Oración Seis who defected! Speaking of which, that guy, Hoteye, is apparently Wally's older brother! Unfortunately, some grunts from the newly reformed Magic Council showed up and arrested him! They also arrested Jellel, though we tried to stop them before Erza made us stop!
Afterwards, we ended up visiting Cait Shelter to celebrate the defeat of Oración Seis! Only, the old guy in charge revealed that, other than Wendy and Carla, everybody in the guild was either a ghost or an illusion, made by the old man to care for those two! Now that Nirvana was gone, all the spirits moved on!
The anti-Oración Seis alliance parted ways after that, with Wendy and Carla deciding to join Fairy Tail! When we got back to the guild hall, everybody partied until we passed out!
On a more serious note, I know what Jellel did to your nakama, but I think he's changed. According to Erza, he was the first one to find Nirvana, and he tried to destroy it. Jellel helped us fight Oración Seis and let the Rune Knights take him without a fight. I get it if you still hate him, though.
Anyway, hope to see you soon! I'm all fired up for our second date!
-Natsu
Dear Natsu,
Jellel enslaved us. He killed Simon, tried to kill Er-chan, and left the rest of us to die. But… he also saved you and Er-chan and your nakama. I will never consider him an ally, much less a friend, but I can't find it in me to hate him. Wally and Shô feel the same way.
On a brighter note, we arrived in Crocus. It's so big, and there are so many people! The royal castle looks just like one from storybooks! Shô, Wally, and I have been having such a great time here.
Speaking of Wally, he's convinced the Magic Council to let he see his brother. The meeting is set for five days from now, for vetting purposes. Only Wally can visit, though, so Shô and I are going to come visit you and Erza in Magnolia in the meantime. We should arrive some point tomorrow afternoon.
From,
Millianna
Choooooooo!
The 1 o'clock train pulled into Magnolia Station, carrying a certain cat girl and surrogate-big-sister worshipper. They disembarked, looked around until they saw a familiar face, then walked over as big smiles broke out on their faces.
"Nee-san!"
"Er-chan!"
"Millianna! Shô! It's nice to see you both again so soon," replied Erza. She then gestured to the four people and two cats, one male and one female, to her right. "I'm sure you remember Lucy, Gray, Natsu, and Happy. I would also like to introduce you to We–"
"So cute!" exclaimed Millianna, interrupting the scarlet-haired mage. She rushed over to the female cat, picking her up and hugging her. "You must be Carla. You're so adorable, mya!"
"Gah! Put me down this instant!" demanded Carla. Millianna acquiesced, smiling at her. The female cat adjusted her clothes, cleared her throat, and began speaking more calmly.
"Thank you. I am indeed Carla, and this girl here–" Carla gestured to a little girl "–is Wendy Marvell. Erza has told us about you, and we are pleased to make you acquaintance."
"N-nice to meet you," spoke Wendy. "I hope we can be friends."
Millianna smiled. "Of course."
"Any friend of Nee-san's is a friend of ours," added Shô.
The group started walking back towards Fairy Tail, chatting along the way. Millianna was happy to see everyone again, not to mention getting to know Carla (another talking cat!) and Wendy (cuteness just below cat-level!), but she couldn't stop glancing at Natsu. It was a bit frustrating, being so close to him yet unable to do anything!
Luckily, everybody other than Natsu and Happy had accepted a quest to help out at a restaurant tomorrow. They had done so before learning that her and Shô were coming to town. The only reason Natsu and Happy hadn't joined in was because they were banned from the place for an incident where they somehow set a decoration water fountain on fire.
When they arrived at the guild hall, Erza introduced her old friends to her new nakama. They spent most of the day just hanging out. When it got late, Millianna decided to spend the night at Lucy's and sleep on her couch, while Shô chose to bunk with Gray. (Millianna though she heard Juvia say "love rival?" when this happened, but that couldn't be right.)
The next day, Millianna woke up bright and early…
To Natsu and Happy sitting in a nearby chair.
"Yo."
"Hi."
"Mya! W-what are you doing here?" exclaimed a panicked Millianna. Natsu told her they broke into Lucy's apartment from time to time, but she didn't expect them to do it while she was staying here.
"Shh," went Natsu. "You'll wake up Lucy. I'm here to talk about our second date."
At that, Millianna's distress turned to excitement. "Really? What are you planning?" she whispered.
"I figured that while everybody else is working at that restaurant, we could grab a bite to eat on the other side of town," answered Natsu. "I know a nice place run by an old couple. It's small, but the food's good and the couple agreed to keep quiet about us."
"They give me fish when we visit," added Happy.
"I'd love to," said Millianna. "where is it?"
"It's by where we got that funnel cake on our last date," responded Natsu. "I'll meet you there around noon. Now, me and Happy have to get going. See you then."
"Bye."
With that, Natsu left out the window. Happy followed, giving a "bye, sir."
"Success!" though Natsu. Him and Millianna had just finished their second date and, he thought proudly, it was better than the first!
The two ate some tasty dishes and talked, while Happy sat at another table eating fish. There were a few moments where it looked like the blue cat may chime in with an insult or embarrassing comment, but luckily (for Natsu and Happy) he decided to keep quiet.
During the date, Natsu realized how similar Millianna was to him. Both of them loved the outdoors and sought adventure. Neither had a family other than the ones they made. They were dreamers that fought to make their desires a reality, even when others dismissed them and their dreams as childish or impossible.
Plus, they kissed again. It made him tingle like he was electrocuted, but without the pain. (Speaking of which, he really had to punch Laxus the next time they met.)
After the date, they made plans to meet up again in two days. Natsu was going to show Millianna his house. Not many people in Fairy Tail knew where it was, and fewer visited due to how run down and messy it was. It was the perfect place for the young couple to meet up at without anybody noticing!
"So that was Gildarts," spoke Millianna, awestruck. She was sitting on a chair in Natsu and Happy's home. The place was amazing, full of souvenirs from the Salamander's many adventures! She even caught a glimpse of a prize he had won during their first date.
The strongest mage of Fairy Tail had returned earlier that day. The town suddenly shifting around as it went into "Gildarts Shift" was a bit startling, but it was worth it to see the man Natsu idolized so much.
"Yeah, he's amazing," praised Natsu. "Always fighting powerful opponents and completing insane quests. When I was younger, I even thought about following him on one of his journeys."
"Why didn't you?" asked the cat girl. "Not that I'm complaining, though. If you had gone with him, then we wouldn't have met."
"Eh, I could never stay away from Fairy Tail so long," answered Natsu. "They're my nakama, and spending years apart would be too much."
"Ah. I get it," replied Millianna. "I felt the same with Er-chan. Even when I thought she betrayed us, a part of me still missed her. And when I saw her again at that casino, I was overjoyed."
"Heh, yeah," said Natsu. "Nothing is as important as your naka–"
Natsu stopped, hearing a loud noise outside. Confused, he walked to the door and opened it, only to have a huge wave of wind and dust slam into him. Everything went black.
Then, Natsu realized his eyes were open. He was underground, not unconscious.
"Bleh!" exclaimed Natsu, busting up to the surface. He looked around, only to see a wasteland all around him. He sniffed the air, but the only scent he could find was Wendy's. The fire dragon slayer rushed to the source of the smell, questions filling his mind. But one roared louder than all the others.
"Where's Millianna?"
"We're baaack!" exclaimed Natsu, overjoyed at returning from Edolas.
"That's right, what about Fairy Tail!?" asked Gray, concerned about the guild.
"It's fine!" shouted Lucy. "All of Magnolia Town is there!"
"It's too early to celebrate. First, we've got to make sure everyone's alright."
"They're fine," spoke an Exceed.
"We reached Earthland a step ahead of you."
"We flew all over."
"The guild and everyone in the town are just fine."
"It looks like none of them even realized they were turned into Lacrima."
"Earthland is awesome! It's overflowing with magic!"
Everybody looked on in shock. Then, Carla spoke up.
"How… How'd the Exceed end up in Earthland!?"
The Exceed all proceeded to laugh, which only served to make her angry.
"This is no laughing matter!" shouted Carla. "These guys are dangerous! We should return them to Edolas! And where the hell is Natsu!"
At the moment, everybody looked around and realized that the Salamander was indeed missing. But before they could panic, the only man... err… Exceed who knew spoke up.
"He left right before the other Exceed spoke up," explained Happy. "I think he was worried about our home, since it's not visible from here like Magnolia."
Everyone accepted that, if a bit irritated at the dragon slayer for not saying anything. Preoccupied by the swarm of Exceed, none of them wondered why Natsu was so concerned about his house.
"Millianna!" shouted Natsu, busting through his own front door.
"Natsu!" responded Millianna. He rushed over and hugged the cat girl. "What was that dust cloud? Where did you go?"
Indeed, because Natsu's home was far away from the center of the Anima gate, Millianna was aware that something had occurred. To her, Natsu suddenly disappeared.
"A lot happened, but it doesn't matter," replied Natsu. "What does is that you're okay. I was so worried you were gone! I couldn't stop thinking about it the whole time. I-I think I love you."
Millianna had been confused (touched, but confused) as Natsu spoke, until his confession. Her face turned crimson, and she responded.
"I feel the same way! I was so scared when you disappeared, and I think it's because I love you too!"
Natsu reciprocated her blush with equal intensity. Then, the two shot into a passionate make-out session. As they burned with a fire that both had nothing to do with magic, the couple moved to Natsu's bed and did something that would have significant repercussions nine months later.
Omake
Happy walked up to his and Natsu's home late that night. It had been difficult to explain the fire mage's absence without revealing his relationship, but he was ultimately able to do so by convincing the guild that Natsu had accidentally set their house on fire right before the Anima portal. Thankfully, nobody realized that Happy was not even with Natsu at that time.
"Huh, the door is broken," said Happy absently. Then, the blue Exceed smirked.
"He likes her," spoke Happy in a teasing voice.
The blue cat walked into the house and saw Natsu and Millianna's clothes on the floor. He looked at Natsu's bed and saw the Salamander and nice cat girl cuddled. Naked.
At that moment, the two realized somebody else was in the room, looked over at Happy, and turned pink.
"You really like each other!" teased Happy, amused as the couple's faces became redder than Natsu's flames.
AN: The omake is canon. Really, for future reference, all omake are canon unless I specifically say otherwise.
The next chapter will start right before the S-Class Trial. I plan to start with one more set of letters between the lovers, among other things. I can't say too much, since I want to avoid any spoilers. Until next time!
