Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Knighted. Enjoy the 2100-word chapter. I don't own Overwatch; Blizzard and a few others do.

"This is still weird," Alex said before he shook his head. "I don't think my armor is modified enough to handle this," Alex said while he put a hand around his axe.

Brigette nodded to herself as she sighed. There was an odd predicament. She slowly started to work on her armor, thrown off a bit by what was happening. Brigette brought herself up to her full height while she tiptoed back towards Alex who had started to weld his armor at the moment.

"You still need my help with it?" Brigette said to which Alex nodded to himself while he shook his head. "That looks a lot higher tech than what the traditional armor was like," Brigette said as Alex nodded to himself and started to think to himself.

The dark hanger made both of them off. They found it odd at the moment. They weren't used to working in this lower lighting.

"Well, the older armor didn't hold up to weapons as well as they could," Alex stated to which he frowned at himself. "The thrusters were also old. Their still good, but they don't have the kick that they need to hold up in combat situations. I don't know how best to fix them with the limited parts at the moment." Alex said before sighing to himself.

Brigette nodded to herself. She knew for a fact that there were very limited options. She scratched at her neck, unsure for a moment about what to do. There was a lot of work to be done on her armor. She questioned how they could do so under these conditions, however.

"Maybe the old dropship could have the parts you needed? It hasn't been visited for a while." Brigette stated while she hummed to herself. "It could help if we just take those parts, it isn't like they need those parts anymore," Brigette added as Alex hummed to herself.

"Maybe, but I don't feel like taking it from someone who needed it," Alex said as he set a hand on the armor in question. "That gear belonged to crusaders who needed it far more than I do. I am not resorting to grave robbery just to fuel my armor." Alex said while he shook his head.

Brigette nodded and looked at her armor. She didn't want to disrespect the crusaders when it came down to it. They had given their lives for the sake of this land. She knew to disrespect them was to throw their sacrifice into the wall and spit on it.

"Then do you think I could take a closer look at that armor?" Brigette asked while Alex nodded. "What about your axe? There's not much you can do to try and fix it." Brigette said to which Alex nodded to himself.

"What happens when we don't see eye to eye on something? We aren't the most perfect team if I'm entirely honest." Brigette added to which he seemed to point to her once more.

It almost made him ponder how well he had done when it came down to it. There were a lot more tactics to be improved on when it came down to it. He didn't fully accept the fact that this wasn't completed.

"Maybe, but I can ask your dad about that at the moment you know," Alex said while he shrugged to himself more than her. "Besides. If there were going to be issued when it comes down to it? Then I'll fix it at the moment when we get to it." Alex added before he slowly leaned on the wall behind himself.

She said nothing as her features seemed to contort slightly. It had been more or less something that she buried well. It was after all part of whom she was. she was a soldier, and it was clear that she acted as to do well at the moment.

"It will be a lot harder to do when it comes down to it," Alex said while he glanced around. "Then again? Almost all of it is insane when you consider it and it isn't as if we've handled less work." Alex said while he seemed to brush off his armor.

It wasn't something he often considered when it came down to it. The more time he spent on these topics was less time he'd be able to fix the armor and ensure it was properly ready for combat within the near future. Not something that seemed to be bothering him or her.

Brigette seemed to tap on the wall near her. her interest seemed to be elsewhere as of now. Both wished for nothing when it comes down to it. There was far more on the end of the spectrum as of now. She was honestly perhaps on the ball and off it at the same time.

Still? He didn't at all wish to twist the dagger in her back and bring more concerns to the table. She had her problems to handle and he had his.

"Damn it to hell. The fabric isn't all going to be fine for when we deploy. The material isn't at all prepared for what to do next." Brigette heard before Alex seemed to type on a console near him.

"Alex, it isn't exactly the easiest thing to improve on when we started it. We both are well aware of how well the first attempts to create armor went and the problems that came down to it." Brigette stated before she tapped on her lips when it comes down to it.

"It isn't going to be easier to fix those flaws within this," Alex stated before he rolled his eyes. "If there is a slight chance this can be fixed or changed at all? Then we're fixing it. It is as simple as that. The only problem will be with how we fix it. There are a lot of flaws in how to." Alex stated before he frowned at what comes down to it.

Still? More problems were coming. He was honestly prepared for something to happen, a problem to come and lend itself to this problem. It would be honestly odd.

Alex sighed and looked at the thing next to him. The armor had to be fixed and handled properly. The more he continued to fix up the armor? The more he found this to be odd, interesting.

Bridgette looked over his shoulder as he sighed and looked around, a bit confused as to what the hell was going on. She could see little flaws in his armor that he probably wished to fix himself. She had known him to be like this as of the moment. It'd be a lot harder for her to fix it up properly if not given the correct attention.

Still? She was going to be interested in what he'd do next. There was only much that he was going to be able to do with the limited resources as of the second.

He sighed to himself before he tilted his head and continued to try and mess with the circuits. This had to end sooner or later as of the time.

Alex started to fuse some of the circuits. She glanced around and looked at the drawings for the rest of their technology. She pondered what was going to happen to this place as the technology slowly but surely started to come down to it.

So many designs, so much to say and do before the machinery broke down. It'd be an interesting idea to her as it came down to it. She knew he had as many ideas as her when it came to properly put this technology to good use.

She rubbed at the bridge of her freckled nose, staring at a blueprint that had been placed on the desk. It outlined so much that was to be fixed with their suits, that it hurt to honestly consider.

He sighed and glanced around before tapping the table in frustration, something was missing that hadn't been there before now. He felt as if something was missing from this place and he couldn't for the life of him fathom what it was.

"What happens when we get this done and over with? There's going to be something odd, it feels like the designs aren't complete yet the way we're making them." Alex said before he rubbed his temples and sighed before he rolled his eyes to himself.

He'd scream if that fixed something. There was all too much on his mind for this to end anytime soon. Alex risked a glance over at Bridgette while he sighed to himself before crossing his arms. He returned to his work and he shook his head before rubbing at his temples, far too annoyed to put his thoughts into words even if he wanted to. The fact that Brigette had managed to get her ideas together and he hadn't boded poorly for him.

He wasn't about to let anything stop him for a second. This had been interesting in the second. It had made him curious about what she'd say or do if he didn't properly build the technology. She was a very smart woman who was no small stranger to things like pointing out the flaws in the technology he used and fashioned.

But neither of them tinkered with the other's projects. Their technology was amazing in the right hands, but not to one another when it came down to it. They had learned much and done a lot more with the tools they currently had than anyone else had. It had been something they wanted to cherish.

However? He had a feeling that it wouldn't last, not easily at the very least. It was something shocking to them both and it constantly drove them up a wall. It was something amazing to each other.

He continued to tinker, all too bemused by the idea of his work being used for anything like combat and the ideal of peace. He sighed to himself before he hummed to himself. there was a lot more work to be done and so little at the time.

And it was something that had shocked them how much they enjoyed their work and what it stood for. The idea of more work on their plates was not surprising in the slightest. At least it wasn't compared to what they were usually doing.

"You have something we need and want," Alex stated before he hummed. "That courage and friendship is something that's going to make always everything better. Anything else and we won't be able to enjoy life at all. At least, not the way we usually do." Alex stated before he sighed to himself as he sighed to himself.

There was a lot more he couldn't do or did not want to do. Still? He did not falter in handling the work.

"I'm going to take a longer guess and assume that you're still a bit scared about trying to figure out what to say or do next, right?" Akida stated before he clicked his fingers on the metal and listened to hear what sound they made.

It had made him question what was to do next. He knew the metal would not easily be fixed, it didn't change a lot, but it was a lot more than he could imagine a few days ago. Today brought a lot with it, along with their friends and new opportunities. Still? He couldn't imagine anything more than this. There was just too much on his mind for it to change.

Maybe there was something he hadn't yet seen. It was a lot harder to fathom the idea given enough time and effort being put into it. then again? It was a lot harder to question before this had been before this ended.

He sighed and leaned on the wall behind him, the idea was something harder to handle and even harder to swallow with all that had been on his mind.

He had a lot more time.
