Zoey headed home not really wanting to be alone but also knowing she had to think about a lot. She was hoping her, and Kevin would get to talk with Annie and Hughie sooner rather than later. When she got home, she parked her car and sat there for a bit, not realizing someone was watching her. The stranger stalked up to her car, making sure not to scare her. As soon as Zoey was ready to get out of her car, the stranger was at her door scaring the hell out of her.

"OMG!" She yelled.

"Shhh…"

"Kevin, what the hell?"

"Keep your voice down. Nobody knows I'm here."

"What are you doing here?" Zoey whispered. "I thought you were giving me the cold shoulder?"

"I can't. I like you too much to stay away from you."

"What happens if Homelander finds out?"

"Technically he didn't say we couldn't be together; I just have to stay a supe."

"About that, Annie and Hughie are going to talk to us."

"Ok, good."

"Do you want to come inside?"

"Do you really have to ask?"

They walked inside and Kevin heard something he has never heard before. Peacefulness. Zoey looked at him and realized something was up.

"Kevin, what's wrong?"

"Absolutely nothing." He said smiling.

"Then why are you staring like that?"

"I've just never heard the quietness before. I'm always hearing sea creatures and sometimes it gets loud and annoying."

"Well, I'm glad I get to be your peace and quiet in your otherwise crazy life."

Out of nowhere Zoey's phone rang.

"Hey, Zoey, its Annie, I got your number from Megan. Are you home?"

"Yes, why?"

"Hughie and I are going to stop by if that's ok."

"Sounds good. I'll be here."

"Who was that?" Kevin asked.

"Annie. Her and Hughie are stopping by."

10 minutes later, there was a knock at the door.

"Wow that was quick. Come in."

"You know she can fly, right?" Kevin said smirking.

"No. That is so cool."

"Hey Zoey" Annie said walking in. "This is my boyfriend Hughie."

"Hi Hughie. Nice to meet you."

"Kevin, I didn't know you would be here."

"Yea neither did I. He scared the shit out of me while I was getting out of my car."

"So, what is it you need to talk to us about?" Hughie asked.

"Kevin, can I talk to them alone?" Zoey asked.

"Sure of course."

After Kevin was gone Zoey started talking.

"I just don't know what to do. I like him but I don't know if I like him enough to be in a relationship with him while he is a supe. Especially since if we become a couple and get to that point of an intimate relationship, I can hear ambrosia while it would be happening."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to eavesdrop." Kevin said coming back into the room. "But Zoey you are forgetting something."

"What?"

"Your house is quiet. I hear nothing when I am here."

"So, what does that mean?"

"It means that if we start dating and get to the point of intimacy, we just stay here at your house. Where I hear nothing."

"Are you serious?" Annie asked. "You hear nothing?"

"Peace and quiet." Kevin said happily.

"Humor me Kevin, did you ever go to Cassandra's house?"

"Yea, maybe once or twice. Then she decided to move into Vought tower."

"Ok. Did you still hear your creature friends when at her house?"

"Yea. 20 miles and I could still hear Ambrosia."

"But right now, in Zoey's house, sitting next to Zoey?"

"Nothing. Complete silence."

Annie stared at Zoey.

"But he could still hear her at Vought tower, and I heard her too when I touched him." Zoey said.

"Zoey do me a favor and touch Kevin."

Zoey touched his arm and heard nothing.

"What were you touching when you heard Ambrosia?"

"His chest." She said smiling.

"Touch it again." Annie said rolling her eyes.

Kevin took off his shirt and Zoey touched his chest again, yet Zoey heard nothing.

Annie got up and walked around the room thinking out loud.

"So, Kevin can hear Ambrosia while at Vought tower and so can Zoey when she touches him, but when you are both here at Zoey's house neither of you can hear her or anything for that matter."

"Annie, what are you thinking?"

"Can I try something?" Annie asked walking near Zoey.

"Sure. I guess."

"This is going to be a little scary at first."

Annie put her hand on Zoey and with her other hand, created power. "Well, it doesn't work on me. I can still use my power."

"Annie, I'm trying to get on your thought train, but you are moving a bit fast."

"Zoey, I think you may have a superpower of your own."

"What?" Zoey and Kevin both exclaimed.

"Not in the literal sense. But you seem to be some kind of blocker for Kevin. But it only works when you are here in her house." She said looking at Kevin.

"So, it doesn't work at Vought even though she was there. But it works here?"

"Exactly. Almost like Zoey's house is a forcefield that stops just your powers."

Kevin looked at Zoey with hope. "Does that mean we can actually be together without me taking the cure?"

"Looks like it."

"What do you think Zoey?"

"I still don't know Kevin. It's still a lot to think about. I mean, I don't want to sound like Cassandra, but when you are at Vought tower, and I'm here, how do I know you're not cheating on me with Ambrosia?"

"Eww. That's gross." Hughie said.

"Can I have a minute alone with Zoey?" Kevin asked looking at Annie and Hughie.

"Actually, is it ok if we go?" Hughie asked.

"Uh yea. I think so." Zoey responded.

"Here are our numbers if you need to talk." Annie said giving her both hers and Hughie's numbers.
