In another dimension, in 1982, a "That's good," Kate was leaving the burning ruins of Thule Station in the frozen wastelands of Antarctica. It contained a woman named Kate Lloyd, who had been frightened by the nightmare of THE THING! The wind picked up as she was driving the snowcat, and the snowcat was sucked in through a wormhole.

When the alarm went off in their dimension, they were getting ready for another day at school.

"ALERT!" the computer yelled. "CODE DIMENSION JUMP IN PROGRESS!"

"Where is it at this time?" J.D. asked.

A computer appeared and triangulated the position, and it was over by Royal Woods Elementary School.

"It's by the Elementary School!" J.D. shouted. "How convenient."

They flew over to the school, where they saw the snowcat leave the wormhole before it closed.

"That's an Antarctica Snowcat!" J.D. gasped.

"Let's get to it!" Lincoln added.

"Yeah," Lane agreed.

J.D., Varie, Vince, Carol, and Lincoln caught it and carefully set it down on the ground. As Carol opened it, she found Kate unconscious.

"There's someone in here," Carol announced.

Carol checked her over. "She's alive! We have to get her to the hospital!"

J.D. agreed. "Right!"

After Carol removes her, they head straight for the hospital.

Two hours later, Kate woke in a bed in a hospital room.

"Are you all right?" J.D. asked.

"Yeah," Katie nodded. "Where am I?"

"You're in Royal Woods Hospital in Michigan," J.D. told her. "We found you in a snowcat after landing it in front of the elementary school and brought you here unconscious."

"Thank yo..." Kate began before becoming paranoid, "Wait a minute, you all stay away from me!"

"Just take it easy, we mean no harm," J.D. counseled.

"She's paranoid," Naruto observed.

"What is your name?" J.D. asked.

"Kate Lloyd," Kate replied.

J.D. gasped when he heard her name. "You were in Thule Station, down in Antarctica?"

"How did you know that?" Kate wondered.

"We saw a movie based on what you went through," J.D. explained.

He handed her a DVD case containing the 2011 movie THE THING.

"There is a movie based on what I've been through?" Kate wondered.

"Yeah," J.D. confirmed. "It's about a Shape-Shifting Alien Monster that perfectly imitates lifeforms."

"That's exactly what I've been through," Kate admitted. "It was horrible."

"It's a nightmare no one wants to live through in a 100,000 lifetimes," J.D. added.

"So the movie The Thing is real?" Lola asked.

"It appears so," Lincoln replied.

"That is a 100% scientific possibility because of the endless possibilities in parallel universes," Lisa explained.

"That's horrible," Lilly exclaimed.

"Kate, please tell us what happened," J.D. asked.

"Well, I was called down to Antarctica to look at a specimen found by the Norwegian Camp Thule Station, and it was estimated to be around 100,000 years old," Kate recounted. "We found it in a block of ice, carved it out and carried it back to Thule Station. We decided to take a tissue sample, which I thought was a bad idea."

"And it broke out and began to wreak havoc on the camp," Varie continued.

"Yes," Kate confirmed. "We torched the creature as it was imitating Henrik, and we brought it back to the lab for analysis. We saw that it was trying to absorb Henrik. I took a tissue sample and saw that the creature's cells were imitating him."

"The Thing's cells were latching on to the original cells and becoming them," J.D. explained.

"Yes," Kate confirmed. "They were imitating him, copying him perfectly."

"A perfect imitation," Luna added.

"Making it incredibly difficult to find who is human," Lynn noted.

"Yes," Kate confirmed.

"That's horrifying," J.D. exclaimed.

"Yes," Kate agreed.

"Is this what you saw?" J.D. asked.

He used his powers to show the Thing Virus imitating process in action. The Thing Virus engulfed the red blood cell, destroying it and transforming it into the exact cell.

"That's a perfect imitation, dude," Luna commented.

"And just one cell was enough to completely take over him," J.D. added.

"Yes," Kate confirmed. "It's amazing how you did that."

"Yes," J.D. replied. "I have a lot of powers."

"Most of us do," Vince admitted.

"Yeah," J.D. agreed.

"I believe it," Kate replied. "What happened next was a nightmare. I found a large puddle of blood in our shower, as well as fillings from someone's teeth. The Thing can copy cells, but not inorganic material."

"That's an interesting find," J.D. commented.

"Weird," Lana murmured.

"Yes," Kate agreed. "It spits them out. You're all still human because you're wearing earrings and jewelry."

"That's right," J.D. responded.

"I was afraid that a helicopter was in danger, so I tried to flag it down," Kate recounted. "But the Thing was on board, and the helicopter crashed in the nearby mountains."

They all gasped.

"Oh man," Aylene exclaimed. "Did anyone make it out?"

"Yes," Kate answered. "But I'll tell you about that later. I tried to convince everyone that the Thing was still among them and that it could be any of them. If the Thing made it out of Antarctica millions of people would die."

"It wouldn't just be millions; it would be the end of the world," J.D. stressed. "The Thing would wipe out the entire human race."

"Yeah," Kate agreed. "No one believed it was still among them. My friend Juliette believed me, and we planned to take the keys to the snowcats and prevent anyone from leaving. But then I found out Juliette was a thing."

They gasped.

"Is this what she looked like?" Brittney asked.

Using her magic, Brittney showed the Juliette-Thing.

"Yes, that's what I remember," Kate confirmed.

"That is absolutely horrific!" Carol cried.

"I think I'm going to be sick!" Sakura cried.

"That still freaks me out!" Lola confessed.

"I was horrified when I saw that," J.D. admitted.

"I can't believe the Thing can turn you into such a horrific and gruesome monstrosity," Varie exclaimed.

"Neither can I," Fu admitted.

"Yes, that's what I saw, and it killed Karl, and we burned her," Kate confirmed.

"The Thing doesn't like fire, and it will destroy its cellular structure," J.D. explained.

"That's right," Kate confirmed. "We locked down the entire camp, and nobody trusted anyone."

"Oh man," J.D. exclaimed. "That is what the Thing is capable of. It causes dissension among everyone. Because it perfectly imitates lifeforms, there is no way to tell who is human and who is not. Because of fear and paranoia, it turns friends into enemies and causes total distrust among everyone."

"That's right," Kate confirmed.

"That's awful," Lincoln remarked. "That's a nightmare worse than the darkest pits of the Netherworld."

"No kidding," Linka agreed.

"It's a horrific and terrifying sight and scenario," Gabrielle added with a British accent.

"Yes," Kate agreed. "We tried to conduct some type of test to identify whose human, and then we were going to kill it that way. But the lab had been sabotaged and was on fire."

"How did that happen, Kate?" J.D. asked.

"I have no idea," Kate admitted. "We later found out that Edvard was a Thing."

"Is this what he became?" Brittney asked.

Brittney showed the Split-Face Thing.

"That's him," Kate confirmed. "He was a fusion of Edvard and Adam Finch."

"That's so gruesome," Sasuke exclaimed.

"No lie," Allie added.

"That is one wicked monstrosity," Lucy commented.

"It's horrible," Shannon added.

"It's ugly just by looking at it," Luan added.

"Totes," Leni agreed.

"That's right," Kate confirmed. "When Carter and I set him on fire, the entire camp went up in flames. We found the Thing as Sanders was going out towards the ship we found."

"That huge flying saucer?" J.D. asked.

"That's right," Kate confirmed. "We found it inside, and it was hideous."

"Is this it?" Brittney asked.

Brittney showed them what the Sanders-Thing looked like.

"Yes," Kate confirmed. "That's him."

"That's even uglier than all the others together," J.D. commented.

"That still scares me," Mary admitted.

"No kidding," J.D. responded.

"I destroyed him by throwing a thermite grenade into its mouth, and it exploded," Kate recounted. "In the process, it damaged the ship."

"It's a good thing you destroyed him," J.D. added.

"I also found out Carter was a Thing," Kate added. "I could tell since he had an earring in his ear."

Carol added, "And then you incinerated him."

"Kate, you've been through a nightmare that no one should ever have to go through," J.D. stated.

"Yes," Kate agreed. "I went into the Snowcat and set out to find another camp to live in until I could return to the United States, but I was sucked into a strange vortex and ended up here."

"Kate, that was a Transdimensional Wormhole," J.D. explained. "It's a wormhole that connects dimensions, and you wound up in our dimension in the year 2017."

"So I'm 35 years into the future?" Kate asked.

"In a way, yes," Lisa answered.

"We never introduced ourselves," J.D. pointed out. "I'm J.D. Knudson."

"I'm Varie Knudson, J.D.'s Fiancé," Varie introduced herself.

"I'm Heidi Knudson, and here is my little twin brother and sister Nathaniel and Isabelle," Heidi explained.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Isabelle replied.

"Same here," Nathaniel added.

"I'm Lisa Loud, I'm four years old, and I'm the Scientist," Lisa said.

"I'm Lily Loud, the youngest of the Loud Siblings," Lily said. "Because of special circumstances, I now look like I'm 10 years old."

"My name is Riley Anderson," Riley introduced herself. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"I'm Linka Loud," Linka introduced herself. "Lincoln's female twin from a flipped gender universe."

"I'm Lilly Loud but with 2 L's ,and I'm a mermaid from 221 years ago," Lilly introduced herself.

"I'm Carol Pingrey Loud. I was adopted because of an incident a while back," Carol introduced herself.

"I'm Sakura Haruno," Sakura said.

"I'm Fu," Fu said. "I don't have a last name."

"I'm Jeri Katou," Jeri said.

"And I'm Sasuke Uchiha," Sasuke said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all," Kate replied. "I'm sorry for acting so paranoid back there."

"It's all right," J.D. assured. "Fear and paranoia can cause lots of strange things to happen."

"Thank you all so much for helping me," Kate added. "But I don't have anywhere to go."

"I wouldn't say that, Kate," J.D. countered. "We live in a huge mansion with plenty of room."

"I'd like that," Kate replied. "I have a feeling I'm going to need a lot of rest after all that happened down in Antarctica."

"I can tell," J.D. admitted. "The doctor said you had minor injuries, but nothing serious."

"That's good," Kate responded.

When Kate was allowed to leave the hospital, she was shown to her room in the house, which was just like her home. Kate was going to be haunted by her nightmare for the rest of her life. At dinner, Kate was still in a state of fear.

"Everything's going to be fine, Kate," J.D. assured her. "As long as we're here, nothing bad will happen to you. The Thing may have left you scarred for life, but it's all over now."

"I know," Kate admitted. "But I'm still scared."

"It's all right, Kate," Varie assured her. "We're not going to let anything happen to you. If it makes you feel any better, could you tell us where Thule Station was in Antarctica?"

"I can do that," Kate replied.

Lisa brought an Antarctica map and set it down on the table.

"Geography was never one of my strong suits," Kate admitted. "I'm actually a paleontologist."

"That is one of my fields as well," Nicole added.

"Let's see," Brittney said. "Thule Station was right here."

Brittney pointed to a spot in Antarctica, which Lisa circled with a red marker.

"That looks about right," Kate commented.

"Near the Nansen Ice Shelf," J.D. explained.

"That would be far too cold for me," Lola admitted.

"It would be too cold for anyone, Lola," J.D. replied. "The temperature in Antarctica can plummet between -100 and -150 degrees, with a wind chill of -175 degrees."

"That's right," Kate confirmed. "It's hard for anyone to live in such frigid conditions."

"Where was the ship you all found, Kate?" J.D. asked.

Kate pointed the line five miles to the north of Thule Station. "Right around there."

"That's very close," Varie noted. "That's around 5 to 10 miles from the camp."

"What you all went through was horrible, Kate," Aylene added. "I'm so sorry."

"I know," Kate admitted. "I lost some good friends down there."

"It's not your fault, Kate," J.D. pointed out. "If there's anyone to blame, it's the Thing."

"That's right," Varie replied.

"We will do everything we can to help you, Kate," Vince promised. "What happened to you should never have happened in the first place."

Suddenly, Kate began to feel better. "Thank you. All of you. Thank you."

"You're welcome, Kate," J.D. replied.

Kate was feeling right at home on the Knudson-Loud-Anderson estate.
