Christen regained conscience sooner than the other girls. However, that was due to her need for more patience in observing her surroundings without her eyes. Also, Christen retained her powers of precognition and a "sixth sense." But it should have informed her of something currently.

Nonetheless, Christen decided to find out where she was and where her teammates were. Yes, Rei's daughter had absolutely zero interest in a history lesson from her grandparents! But, to her, and credit where credit is due, she felt she was doing an excellent job at being Neo-Sailor Mars.

Quickly detecting no one was coming for her, Christen slipped out of bed, disregarding a bedside meal, and slowly crept around. She ultimately uncovered a shrine-like room with a ceremonial fire blazing brightly. The exact flames Phobos and Demios had bathed her in when she'd been born!

Christen felt comforted by these flames and decided to catch her bearings and map her path. Suddenly, she listened to someone singing a chant. This voice was joyful and compassionate.

Likewise, Christen recognized the melody as Rei had taught her and her teammates to "Always remember your ancestors' teachings. Even if your fire goes out, you must trust your memories."

Christen glanced around the fire to see a woman with jet-black hair and lilac eyes praying. "Hello, Christen," the unidentified female had spotted the young lady crouching behind the flames.

"What should I refer to you as?" Christen asked bluntly, stepping out.

"Everyone calls me Queen Lionheart. However, my first name is Sarafina." Queen Lionheart introduced herself as she approached.

"I guess I can accept you as my grandmother. Given the fact, my powers aren't warning me of anything. But, sorry, I didn't eat the food as I don't know what's in it." Christen reasoned.

"You are a...cautious one." Queen Lionheart observed. The queen avoided the desire to call her granddaughter straight-up tactless.

"I'm in a different era, and you could have been a foe in disguise for all I know. Better to be cautious than foolish." Christen proclaimed impertinently as she and Queen Lionheart slowly walked together.

"It's clever to trust your instincts. But, regardless, granddaughter, you might want to pick up some politeness around my husband." Queen Lionheart pushed open the door to reveal the throne room. It had been still made with Hinoki Cypress cut and fitted joints. Sitting in one of the most decorative chairs is a man with jet-black hair and emerald eyes.

"Nice to see you finally awake, Christen." Christen jumped at the sound of this voice. It was baritone and demanding of respect, which Christen knew she could do, but had little practice!

"Likewise. Nice to meet you too." Christen did not know how to respond more civilly than that.

"Oh! Where are my manners? I am King Zen Lionheart." King Lionheart bowed.

Shakily, Christen curtsied back. She was as clumsy as Jewel at doing this. Thankfully, Queen Lionheart held her up. At a loss for what else to say or do, Christen sat down to dine with her grandparents as this experience had made her a bit hungry and thirsty.

King Lionheart learned Christen had her mother's black hair, her father's eyes, and Zen's short temper, inheriting virtually nothing from Sarafina! "Well...I'm a good singer." Christen remembered Sarafina's mystical voice earlier. As Christen recited the song Rei had taught her, her friends heard and followed the sound of her voice, but they were quick.

"I'm glad we found Christen after we found Crystal." Chibiusa sighed in relief.

"Why is that?" Crystal questioned.

"Christen would have made fun of your grandfather's voice while he's trying to be fierce." But, to be considerate, Gracie tried her best to hold back a giggle.

"I know he sounded squeaky, but he was trying to protect me because he loved me. That doesn't make him a dumb person." Crystal explained.

"I didn't mean it that way," Gracie replied apologetically. Crystal gave her a reassuring smile as they entered the Dining Hall.

"What is the meaning of this intrusion?!" King Lionheart yelled.

"No worries, Grandpa. That's the Moon Princess and two of her Senshi." Christen did not know why she felt like saving these three troubles. Regardless, she surmised that if she smoothed out things, she could get this visit over quicker.

"Your Highnesses, please, come dine with us." Queen Lionheart gestured for the girls to sit anywhere they liked and to eat and drink however much they wanted.

"Thank you. This is very much appreciated, but we don't have much time. We must locate the remainder of my companions before the night is out or my mother finds out." Chibiusa informed the king & queen.

"Then, we won't keep you any longer. Here..." Taking a small shoulder sack, Queen Lionheart packed some food for the girls.

"Take heed, young ones. King Ragnarok and Queen Lilith of Saturn will not help you. Only madness fuels them now..." King Lionheart warned.

"We'll keep that in mind," Crystal vowed. She would make sure everyone remembered that too.

Chibiusa was greatly worried for Emily. While Hotaru had been around villains and possessed by one, she hoped Emily would never have to experience something like that. Now, if Hotaru's biological parents were evil, what would they do to Emily?!

Her hesitation did not go unnoticed by Gracie, "Don't fret, Chibiusa. Emily is intelligent. She'll figure out a way to stay safe and sound."

"Yeah..." Chibiusa needed to sound more sure.

"Hey! We're going to need more firepower...no pun intended...to rescue Emily. So let's focus on finding our teammates!" Christen interjected.

With King and Queen Lionheart's well wishes, the girls decided to locate the best physical fighter on their team.

Queen Seraphina: Zoe Leader (Sarafina from Lion King)

King Zen: Stan Hart (Koga from Pokemon)

Side notes: Sarafina Lionheart combines Lion King and Zen, a Japanese Buddhist form of meditation. In Scandinavian mythology, Ragnarok is a series of events and catastrophes that will end the world.

In numerous pieces of literature, Lilith was Adam's first wife, but a she-demon was banished from the Garden of Eden for not obeying Adam. Plus, her name has connections to the night.
