"The disaster takes place two days from now… on July 7," began F-Wendy. "A magic tool called the Eclipse Gate is activated during a solar eclipse, opening a portal connecting the present to 400 years in the past. This was done so that the Dark Mage Zeref and the Black Dragon Acnologia could be erased from existence. But things went horribly wrong.

"The full moon's presence disrupted the gate. Though a portal to 400 years ago was opened, it did not lead to Zeref or Acnologia. Instead, it led to 10,000 dragons, who came through the Eclipse Gate and unleashed chaos upon Crocus. Some of the dragons attacked the city. Others tried to protect it. Yet, the massive battle that ensued was only an omen of what was to come.

"With 10,000 dragons present, it would have been stranger if Acnologia did not appear. Sadly, by the time the Black Dragon showed up, everyone — human and dragon alike — was in no shape to resist. It was a massacre, and the fact that any of us escaped was a miracle."

F-Wendy paused for a moment, with sorrow etched onto her face. All the people she lost flashed through her mind. She took a breath and composed herself, then continued.

"All of us survivors were forced into hiding. After several months, I was able to create an Enchantment that hid the dragon slayer attribute from the Black Dragon's senses. And, after a year had passed, a group of soldiers from the Alvarez Empire appeared, bringing two of their country's strongest mages and a grim story.

"Acnologia had… done something to become more powerful. The Emperor and the Spriggan 12, all mages comparable to Gildarts, had been annihilated along with their country. They came seeking refuge, aware of our location thanks to the empire's information network. Apparently, my concealing Enchantment had caught Irene's attention, and she was able to guide those few survivors to our location.

"The next 6 years were spent in continuous fear. Whatever made the Black Dragon even more powerful also drove it berserk. It wandered aimlessly across the world, obliterating everything he came across. And… well… we've already gone over the rest."

Everybody in Fairy Tail sat in stunned silence, processing the devastation that had occurred, along with how they were all two days away from the start of the apocalypse. Eventually, Natsu spoke up, breaking the silence.

"Wait, that still doesn't explain how you became a dragon!"

"Oh!" went F-Wendy, having forgotten about that. "You see, I learned from Irene that extensive use of Dragon Slayer Magic causes a person to slowly become a dragon. However, you, I, Gajeel, Sting, and Rogue all have antibodies against dragonization, produced by our dragon parents. Not only do these prevent us from turning into dragons unless we choose to, they allow us to retake a proper human form after becoming a dragon.

"Apparently, Transformation Magic would normally just turn a dragon into a human-shaped dragon. Speaking of which, you might want to give Porlyusica some of your blood so that she can isolate those antibodies and inject them into Blaze and Iggy."

"Got it."

"Actually, there's also something bothering me," spoke Makarov. "You mentioned that the Eclipse Gate was opened to kill Zeref and Acnologia. But, with what you said yesterday about all 12 Gold Keys being needed to open it, how is it that this happened?"

"Now, before I tell you this, I want you all to promise that you won't rush off impulsively," stipulated F-Wendy seriously. When the rest of Fairy Tail agreed, she continued. "The ones who opened the Eclipse Gate in my past… were the Cherry Blossom Holy Knight Squadron, the Garou Knights, several ministers, and the king and princess they all serve."

"WHAT!" cried everybody present.

After they all calmed down, F-Wendy proceeded to explain how she discovered this fact. In the original timeline, Natsu led the others to the hidden graveyard. There, Wendy used the spell Milky Way to summon the soul of a dragon named Zirconis, who explained the origin of dragon slayers and Acnologia.

Then, Arcadios — leader of the Cherry Blossom Holy Knights — showed up and explained the Eclipse Project. He brought them to the Eclipse Gate, where their Magic Power was drained and knights showed up to arrest Lucy (who had not been struck by acid, as the successful capture of Yukino the previous day had kept Neppa from snapping).

During the final event of the GMG, a small team attempted to rescue Lucy and Yukino, not to mention prevent the Eclipse Gate from being opened. Sadly, they only half-succeeded at the first objective and completely failed in regard to the second one.

Nobody took the news that Lucy and Yukino were currently prisoners well. Some of them tried to deny reality, only for a sullen Minerva to confirm that a Garou Knight had been tailing Yukino at Ryuzetsu Land.

"Is there anything else you can tell us about the future?" asked Erza.

"There is one thing, but I should probably keep it a secret until after the upcoming crisis passes," answered F-Wendy. "I don't want to distract anyone from the task at hand. However, I can assure you that this secret is something good. Very good, in fact."

"Speaking of secrets, there's something I need to tell everyone," said Natsu. "I was planning to wait until after the games, but with everything that's happening, I get the feeling I should tell you now. When I met Zeref during the war with Tartaros, he revealed that I'm his younger brother."

There was an uproar, but Natsu ignored it and continued speaking. "And, yesterday, he talked to me again in the dragon graveyard. There, Zeref explained that this was possible because of the Eclipse Gate. I went through the gate at some point, which is how I was E.N.D. despite not being hundreds of years old."

As everybody took in this startling development (aside from Mavis, Makarov, and Millianna, who already knew), Mavis decided to keep the bit about being Zeref's lover for a later date. The situation was already overwhelming enough.

"Does anybody else have some major secret they're sitting on?" snarked Gajeel, not expecting an answer.

"I don't know about 'major,' but now is probably a good time to tell all of you that Juvia and I have been in contact with Crime Sorcière," replied Gray. "They knew something was up with the Grand Magic Games and asked us to investigate. Speaking of which, I think we should bring them in on all this. We could use the help."

Makarov agreed, and a break was called while Gray rendezvoused with Ultear and convinced Crime Sorcière to visit the inn.

"If we can stop the Eclipse Gate from opening, then we can stop the 10,000 dragons from rampaging," stated F-Wendy. "Even if Acnologia still arrives afterward, we'll at least be in good enough shape to try fighting back."

Crime Sorcière had arrived and a strategy meeting had begun. Though most of Fairy Tail and all of Crime Sorcière were present, the conversation was dominated by F-Wendy and the leaders of both guilds.

"But how do we do that?" questioned Jellal. "I doubt that the kingdom will be as willing to accept your claims as we are."

"We do as we did in the previous timeline," answered Makarov. "During the final event, we send a small team into the Mercurius to rescue Lucy and Yukino and retrieve their keys. Between our foreknowledge and our enemy being unaware that we know the truth, it should work better this time."

"I'm going," declared Sorano emphatically. "I won't allow them to keep my sister locked up!"

"Plus the potential apocalypse," muttered Macbeth, exasperated by his guildmate's skewed priorities.

"Me too," said Minerva. "It's my fault for not realizing what that paper lady was up to."

Sting tried to volunteer before Rogue stopped him, reminding the White Dragon Slayer that he would be taking part in the GMG.

"I can also help," added Millianna. "With my magic we can disable any sentries or guards we come across."

"Don't forget about us," interjected Happy, the other four Exceeds by his side. "Once we get Lucy, Yukino, and the keys, our Aera will let us escape really quickly."

With that, the rescue team was established.

"That still leaves the elephant in the room," commented Ultear. "How are we going to deal with Acnologia if it… if he arrives?"

The fact that the Black Dragon, the monstrosity the annihilated all traces of Tenrou Island for seven years, was originally a human had been… shocking… for Ultear, to say the least.

"I've been thinking about it these past few days, and I have a few ideas," responded F-Wendy. "First, I can place an Enchantment onto one of Cana's 'HELP' cards so that it will lead to Gildarts. Mest could then use his Teleportation Magic to bring Gildarts to Crocus."

The Fairies reacted to this with a mixture of awe at how impressive F-Wendy had become and relief at the thought of their strongest comrade being there to fight Acnologia (even if Gildarts had lost previously).

"Second," continued F-Wendy. "Ultear and I can unlock the Second Origin of everyone who hasn't already done so."

"You can do that!?" cried every mage who knew what a Second Origin was.

"Yeah," replied F-Wendy. "I experimented with Enchantments based on the Arc of Time to restore the Eclipse Gate and ended up figuring out how to do it."

Again, everyone was in awe of how much F-Wendy had grown.

"Hey, do you think there's enough time to get us before the event?" asked Gajeel.

"Sure, though it'll be cutting things close. You'll be in fighting shape, but you probably won't fully recover by the time the final event starts."

"Good. I can't wait to teach those Garou Knight bastards a lesson! Gi hi hi hi!"

The rest of Fairy Tail all gave nasty smiles at the Iron Dragon Slayer's words. Nobody messed with a member of their guild and got away with it. Just ask Phantom Lord, Grimoire Heart, Sabertooth, Tartaros, or Raven Tail.

Kagura dropped to her knees, bile rising up her throat. Around her, her friends and fellow members of Team Mermaid Heel cried out in concern. She barely noticed, though, unable to think about anything other than the scene before her.

Jellal. Jellal. JELLAL! He was right in front of her! He was leaving the inn that Fairy Tail was staying at! And one of the members of Fairy Tail was protecting him from a unit of enforcers from the Magic Council, claiming he was some doppelganger from another world!

Lies! Lies! LIES! She had heard about Mystogan's true appearance from those two former slaves that had befriended her older brother at the Tower of Heaven. They had told her about Edolas, confirmed that travel between their worlds was now impossible!

"I am fine," Kagura told her panicking teammates, though nothing could be further from the truth. She forced the bile back down into her stomach and rose to her feet. "Everyone, remain calm."

"But… over there… isn't that…" sputtered out Flare, having caught sight of Jellal.

"Yes, I know," said Kagura. She started walking away. "Don't look back. If you catch a glimpse of him, even for a moment…" "I am all right now. Forgive me."

As Kagura continued to move away from the source of her mad hatred, she thought about what she had just seen. "They are giving him safe harbor."

Tomorrow, she would be getting answers. Or else.

Omake

"Umm… I have a small question," said Wendy nervously during a lull in her Enchantment lessons with F-Wendy. "In the future… that is to say, before you performed the Personality Enchantment on F-Blaze… did I… did my… ever get…"

As Wendy struggled to squeak out the word 'bigger,' F-Wendy realized what her younger self was asking.

"Ha ha ha," laughed F-Wendy hollowly. "Even after puberty and dragonization, I still never got bigger there."

"Oh," went Wendy, becoming downcast. However, her depression was halted when F-Wendy clapped a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't give up hope," F-Wendy told her younger self. "Factors like diet can affect a person's growth, so there's still a chance you may surpass me. I believe in you."

"Thank you," responded Wendy, her eyes becoming teary. "I promise I won't let you down!"

AN: To clarify, the card that F-Wendy was talking about Enchanting was the 'Help Lucy' card from the S-Class Trial Arc in canon. F-Wendy would Enchant it in the same way she gave F-Blaze a 'Fake Zeref Signature.'

I gave F-Wendy a way to unlock a person's Second Origin because it sort of bothered me that only the main cast got this power-up in canon. By the way, F-Blaze's Second Origin has already been unlocked. All the future survivors did it (aside from Irene, who could no longer use magic).

Also, as far as the Omake… I couldn't help myself. I thought of it back when I started this fic, and it was just too funny to pass up.

That is all. Bye!
