"Dragon Slayer Seal!" cried Wendy, enchanting Dragon Slayer Magic onto Erza and Gray.
"Ice Make: Hammer!" shouted Gray, making his construct swing down on Natsu.
"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" exclaimed Natsu, smashing apart the hammer with a punch. As the shards of ice flew around him, though, a flash of red came at the dragon from his right.
"Take this!" roared Erza, using both hands to swing her now-enchanted katana at Natsu.
"Fire Dragon's Claw!" yelled the dragon, kicking Titania's blade. The two forces clashed for a few seconds, then Erza was sent flying.
Her teammates did not let Erza's actions go to waste, though. As soon as she was no longer near Natsu, Gray and Wendy unleashed Ice-Make: Lance and Sky Dragon's Roar respectively. Furthermore, the two spells merged into a Unison Raid, the wind from Wendy's attack propelling Gray's spears and causing them to spin.
Natsu tried to avoid their attack, but still had his left arm grazed by it. Undaunted, the dragon decided to pay the two of them back with a spell of similar strength. "Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!"
"Ice-Make: Shield!"
"Deus Corona!"
Gray and Wendy reacted to the attack by hastily creating a barrier of ice and enchanting it to better resist the flames. This protected them from harm, although their defense was annihilated in the process.
However, before Natsu could perform a follow-up attack, Erza returned donning her Heaven's Wheel Armor. Dozens of swords telekinetically flew through the air and toward the dragon. Two more remained in Titania's hands, which she used to engage in melee combat with Natsu.
Natsu batted away these strikes with a mixture of flaming punches and blazing kicks, though he remained trapped with Erza in a storm of blades.
Meanwhile, Gray and Wendy did not sit idly by. The former activated his Ice Devil Slayer Magic to form a purple bow, while the latter stacked enchantments onto the weapon.
"Ile Arms! Ile Vernier!"
"Ice Devil Slayer's Zeroth Destruction Bow!"
An arrow of purple ice, stronger and faster than it should have been, shot into the sea of swords. The weapons all moved out of the projectile's way, allowing it to strike its target uninhibited.
"Gah!" cried Natsu as the arrow hit him and burst into a cluster of icy spikes. This was followed by another shout of pain as Erza scored a hit on the distracted dragon, causing him to refocus on the fight. "Fire Dragon King Mode!"
An explosion of flames erupted from Natsu, forcing Erza to pull back and melting the purple ice on his body — along with several nearby swords.
Titania grinned as she Requipped into her Flame Empress Armor. The battle was finally getting serious.
"Keep the pressure on Minerva!" ordered Arcadios as he crossed blades with Panther Lily. "If she gets a moment, she can use her magic to teleport away!"
A knight charged at the Fairy, was swiftly defeated, and got replaced by another knight a moment later in an unending cycle. The others were facing similar situations, with Sorano and Millianna trapped in place protecting the Celestial Spirit Key-less Yukino and Lucy. Thankfully, one of them had an idea on how to change the situation.
"Happy! Lucy!" shouted Carla. "Go on without us! Before the princess opens the Eclipse Gate!"
The Exceed, currently in her human form, had seen with her Precognition that they wouldn't be able to stop the gate from opening if they waited until after defeating the knights. It was clear that one of the Exceeds would have to take a Celestial Spirit Mage and go on ahead to prevent F-Blaze and F-Wendy's tragic future.
She chose Happy and Lucy for that role because the former was the fastest Exceed present and the latter… well… Carla didn't trust Sorano to behave reasonably with her sister involved. The woman would act recklessly, either demanding to go along to protect her sister (slowing them down) or fighting more carelessly to reunite with Yukino sooner.
"Alright!" answered Lucy. It was better than being dead weight, and she deeply wanted her Celestial Spirits back at her side.
"Aye!" responded Happy. The Exceed reverted to cat form (Aera active), grabbed onto Lucy's back, and flew them in the direction of the Eclipse Gate.
"Stop!" cried one of the knights, forming a ball of fire in his hand. But, before he could throw it at the two, a rope of pink energy wrapped around his arm and the spell went out.
"No you don't!" exclaimed Millianna. She turned to her guildmates, who were getting further and further away. "Happy! Lucy! We all believe in you! Stop the Eclipse Gate from opening, mya!"
"Gray, with me!" commanded Erza, swinging her Flame Empress Armor's blade at Natsu.
"Alright!" responded Gray, coming at the dragon from the opposite direction. "Ice Devil's Zeroth Long Sword!"
"It'll take more than that to beat me!" roared Natsu. He grabbed the two blades with his bare, blazing hands. "Fire Dragon King's Wing Attack!"
Natsu twisted his body, dragging the weapons and their wielders with him. At the 180 degrees point, he let go, flinging Erza and Gray away. Sadly, he was only able to catch his breath for a moment before a strong wind began to circle around him.
"Don't forget about me!" cried Wendy, glowing with the power of Ile Arms and Ile Vernier. "Dragon Slayer's Secret Art: Shattering Light: Sky Drill!"
"Grr!" went Natsu, gritting his teeth as he endured the young dragon slayer's spell. Once it faded, he struck at the girl. "Fire Dragon King's Destruction Fist!"
Wendy, stunned from Natsu being able to withstand her full power, was not able to react in time as the dragon's fist slammed into her gut and sent her tumbling across the ground. However, she was able to cast one final Enchantment before losing consciousness. "De… Deus Corona!"
"Thank you, Wendy," murmured Gray as his elemental resistance soared. Natsu turned toward the devil slayer and the two exchanged smirks. "Time for another of our challenges. Ice Devil's Rage!"
"Fire Dragon King's Roar!" bellowed Natsu, responding with the dragon slayer's equivalent to his rival's spell. Streams of ice and fire clashed, pushing against one another as they both vied for supremacy.
Ultimately, the flames won out, burning through the purple ice and the Enchantment that had been protecting it from their heat. They surged toward Gray, engulfing him. When the fire faded, the charred devil slayer fell flat on the ground.
"Two down, one to go," stated Natsu, grinning. He turned to Erza. "You ready to finish things?"
"Absolutely," replied Titania emphatically. "Second Origin, release! Nakagami Armor!"
Erza Requipped into a new set of armor, one Natsu had never seen before. The dragon's smile grew even wider.
"Dragon Slayer's Secret Art…"
"This will be the end!" shouted Erza. She swung her armor's sword, which held the power to dispel magic.
"…Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade!"
The two shot at one another, sword meeting flaming arm. To Erza's surprise, rather than getting dispelled by her equipment, Natsu's flames burned through the Nakagami Armor's power to dispel magic. She heard her blade, a section of her armor, and a few of her ribs shatter as they made contact with Natsu's spell. Titania was blown away by the attack, flying through the air for a moment before crashing onto her back.
"Not… bad…" Erza sputtered out. "We still have… a way to go… to catch up with you…"
"You did great," replied Natsu, his smile now gentle. He turned to look at Wendy and Gray's fallen forms. "All of you."
"Thank you…" said the Fairy as the last of her consciousness faded.

Hisui stared at the Eclipse Gate, which seemed to tower over her. She felt her stomach tie itself in knots but refused to let any of this nervousness show on her face. Doing so would dishearten the guards beside her.
The original plan had been to use the GMG's closing ceremony to rally mages from various guilds and enter the gate together. Now, with Fairy Tail's actions, it was up to this small contingent to save the world while her father stretched out the ceremony.
(One of Arcadios's men had used his magic to inform Hisui and her father that Lucy and Yukino had, in fact, been rescued by members of their guild.)
Tick, tick, tick. The seconds passed as the solar eclipse drew closer. Only a few minutes remained when the situation changed.
"Don't open that gate!" shouted Lucy as she and Happy landed. Only Hisui and her guards stood between the Fairies and the gate.
"I'm sorry, but this must be done," replied Hisui, staring straight into Lucy's eyes. She genuinely was remorseful for mistreating the Celestial Spirit Mage, but it was the only option. "Zeref is an immortal who has killed thousands and will kill millions more. The only way to stop him is to prevent him from ever existing."
"You're making a mistake!" yelled Lucy, not swayed by her words. "If you open the Eclipse Gate, then everybody will die!"
Lucy tried to say something else, but she was cut off when one of Hisui's guards spoke. "Princess, the eclipse has begun! Permission to open the Eclipse Gate?"
"No!" cried Lucy and Happy.
"Permission granted!" answered Hisui. As her guards opened the gate, she turned back to the Fairies. "It may be difficult to accept, but even if we cease to exist, mankind will be saved."
"You don't understand!" shouted Lucy, growing a bit angry at being disregarded. "The full moon's presence is going to disrupt the Magic Power within the Eclipse Gate, sending it out of control!"
Hisui and her knights froze. Unable to accept that her plan was doomed, the princess lashed out at the Fairy. "You don't know that that will happen! How could you!?"
"Because my guildmates met a girl from a future where the gate was opened and a swarm of 10,000 dragons was unleashed on the capital!"
Shock and horror flooded Hisui's body. She tried to deny Lucy's words, but a glance at the Fairy's eyes told the princess that every word was true. Hisui turned toward her guards and yelled in a panicked voice.
"Stop! Close the gate immediate!"
"…and we might all die because you assholes tried to mess with history!" Natsu yelled at the Garou Knights.
"You don't honestly expect us to believe your little story of time travelers and 10,000 dragons, do you!?" retorted Kama. "Besides, our actions were all for the sake of this kingdom!"
This argument had started when King Toma had begun to inform the populace of the Eclipse Project, which had just been fully explained to him as Arcadios and his daughter returned to Mercurius. Natsu and the rest of Fairy Tail (including the member who had been waiting at the inn) interrupted the king's speech, explaining what F-Blaze and F-Wendy had told them.
Then, the Garou Knights got angry at Fairy Tail for 'insulting the kingdom' and started deriding their story. Still irate over Lucy and Yukino's imprisonment, the members of Fairy Tail had responded with insults of their own. Thus, the current situation.
"Enough!" shouted Makarov, slamming his magically-enlarged fist on the distracted Natsu before turning to the king and bowing. "Your Majesty, I beg of you… please evacuate the city of civilians so that, if the worst comes to pass, the rest of us can fight! I know our tale may sound outlandish, but we are telling the truth! Countless lives are at stake!"
King Toma considered the guild master's words for several moments, then spoke in a loud and commanding voice that was broadcast to the rest of the city through Lacrima-Vision. "My people! Fairy Tail's story may be difficult to accept… but listening to them and finding out they were lying would be much better than ignoring them only to discover their words were true! Because of this, I must ask you to evacuate from Crocus immediately! However, those of you who can fight… I ask you to save our country!"
The king's words were met with a roar of support. Everyone listened to their ruler, either fleeing or preparing to fight. And, within a few minutes, they felt grateful for their decision as seven dragons appeared and attacked the city.

"You tell them, Daddy!" cheered Blaze as she and Asuka watched her father argue with Kama on Lacrima-Vision. The girls jumped up and down on a hospital bed. "Beat those bad dragons, mya!"
"Stop that!" snapped Porlyusica. She began to lecture the girls.
The elderly medicinal advisor was a bit low on patience, having spent the last two days isolating the Dragonization antibody in blood samples from Fairy Tail's First and Third Generation Dragon Slayers, introducing it into the bodies of Natsu and Millianna's children (as Iggy would likely learn Fire Dragon Slayer Magic from his father at some point), and watching over three kids as a potential doomsday approached.
"I'm a mummy dwagon, mya!" declared Iggy. The boy had wrapped himself in a roll of Porlyusica's gauze while she had been distracted dealing with Blaze and Asuka.
"Why did I agree to this?" muttered Porlyusica darkly. She sighed, letting go of her anger as she reminded herself that her reason was to keep three children safe. "Hopefully the eclipse will end without the dragons showing up and this will all be over."
At that moment, the first dragon emerged from the Eclipse Gate for all to see.
"Damnit!" cursed Porlyusica, rubbing her forehead.
"Dragons/Dwagons!" cried the children that she had forgotten were present.
AN: I'm not going to lie. I completely forgot about Blaze, Asuka, and Iggy for a bit. Had I remembered, they would have been watching the GMG alongside Ultear and F-Blaze. However, since I only remembered while writing this chapter, I decided to use the Omake to explain/justify their absence. Also, in case it wasn't clear, the three of them and Porlyusica are in the medical room Fairy Tail has been using over the course of the GMG.
