The day after the chaos brought on by the Eclipse Gate and Acnologia, the members of Fairy Tail gathered for a meeting. The focus of this meeting was the five dragon parents who had been within their children the entire time.

The dragon slayers shared what their parents had told them. Sting and Rogue explained how Weisslogia and Skiadrum had created false memories of their deaths, not to mention that the five dragons had all been half-dead courtesy of Acnologia stripping their souls from the bodies.

Wendy recanted what Grandeeney had told her about dragonization and the antibodies protecting them from it, along with the theory on Natsu's smooth transformations. Surprising everyone, though, was the revelation that Acnologia was actually a human who had dragonized and gone mad.

The most troubling information was when Natsu and Gajeel revealed that Acnologia would recover and return. They would have to slay the Black Dragon on their own, which was especially daunting given how much of a challenge it was just fighting regular dragons.

The members of Fairy Tail all vowed to become stronger, with some of them even starting to develop their training plans immediately. One of these people was Wendy, who asked Natsu to teach her how to activate the Dragon Force at will.

Finally, one last topic was discussed by Fairy Tail; the fate of F-Blaze and F-Wendy. F-Wendy had faded from existence along with the dragons who came through the Eclipse Gate. F-Blaze, on the other hand…

"…F-Wendy told me to stand there," said Blaze, the only witness. She had just gotten to the part where F-Wendy asked for her help. "I did, so then she cast a spell on me. She called it a purr-something Enchantment."

"A Personality Enchantment!?" exclaimed Wendy, earning a nod from Blaze. Once the shock wore off, she noticed everyone else's confusion. "The Personality Enchantment is one of the spells I learned from my future self. When used on another person, it lets the Enchanter transfer their mind into that person's body… and erase the original mind if they want to."

"…"

The Fairies could only gawk at the Sky Dragon Slayer. The potential uses of that spell were terrifying to think about, even if it was obvious that F-Wendy hadn't misused it. Blaze, however, failed to pick up on the tense atmosphere and continued speaking.

"F-Wendy enchanted future me into me. She told me that, because we're the same person, we'd mix together after a few days and become a Super Blaze, mya! My Magic Power will get bigger, and I'll be able to use her spells!"

"…"

This was met with another stunned silence that, again, was broken by the young dragon slayer after her future self reminded her of something within their mind.

"Ah, right! I won't get Sky Hell Flame Dragon Mode or any Enchantments, which sucks!"

"…"

A third stunned silence.

"…This might be a good time to end the meeting," Makarov finally said, causing the Fairies to disperse. The information they had just gained was a bit overwhelming and they all needed time to process it.

A few days later, all of the mages who participated in the battle against the Eclipse Gate dragons and Acnologia were invited to Mercurius (or rather, a part of Mercurius that wasn't undergoing repairs) for a celebration.

The party took place in a large banquet hall. The mages, dressed in formal clothes, spent their time socializing, eating, and drinking as an orchestra played music. Mostly eating and drinking, in Fairy Tail's case.

Ichiya tried to convince the musicians to play his 'regular song' while he sang the lyrics, though his failure to identify that song prevented him from succeeding. The Trimens alternated between praising him and flirting with female guests, while Jenny attempted to antagonize Mirajane. They were as unsuccessful as their leader.

Bacchus and Cana faced one another in a drinking contest, cheered on by the rest of Quattro Cerberus and Gildarts respectively. The match got interrupted, however, when one of Bacchus's guildmates mentioned that he previously won a drinking contest and took Cana's bra as a prize. It took all of Fairy Tail's S-Class Mages to restrain Gildarts's fatherly wrath, much to Cana's embarrassment.

Mermaid Heel convinced Kagura to dress up and, although the swordswoman found the clothes uncomfortable, she couldn't say no to her guildmates. When she ran into Erza, Kagura further embarrassed herself after asking to be her big sister. Meanwhile, Millianna bonded with Flare Corona after learning the Mermaid was from Sun Village, the former home of Atlas Flame.

Lamia Scale chatted mainly among themselves and with Fairy Tail. Lyon, finally realizing that Juvia wasn't into him, wished Gray luck and asked the Fairy for a way to contact Crime Sorcière (who weren't present) — specifically Meredy, Lyon's new crush. Sherria and Wendy ate sweets as the invisible-to-non-Fairies Mavis stared at them enviously. The former guild master did become amused, though, when the god slayer flustered Wendy by asking if there was anything going on between her and Romeo.

Even the Garou Knights were joining in on the fun. Kamika and Cosmo made conversation with the girls of Fairy Tail, Uosuke and Happy talked about fishing and fish, and Neppa joined Cana and Bacchus's drinking contest after Gildarts calmed down.

Of course, eventually a fight broke out over which group played the greatest part in the battle against the dragons.

"People, that is enough!" yelled Arcadios, banging the sheath of his sword against a railing as if it were a gavel. "You stand before the king!"

When the fighting stalled and the room quieted down, the knight continued speaking in a calmer tone.

"To all you valiant mages who took part in the Grand Magic Games and demonstrated the true depths of your bravery when a crisis befell our nation… His Majesty is prepared to give his salutations! Listen, and listen well!"

The curtain on the main balcony drew back, revealing King Toma E. Fiore. The king stepped forward, beginning his speech.

"My subjects, I cannot thank you enough defending this country and its people. You saved the Kingdom of Fiore from its own foolish rulers, and from a monster of unimaginable terror. I am truly ashamed of the fact that the people will never know the full extent of what you have done for them."

King Toma was referring to the fact that most of the details of the incident had been concealed from the public. In order to prevent the people from losing all trust in the government (which could potentially destroy the kingdom), the Eclipse Gate's activation had been blamed on a fictitious surviving member of Tartaros who gave his life to open it.

Outside of the guilds, the royal family, Arcadios, and the Garou Knights, anybody who knew had their memories altered by Mest. Additionally, the palace staff who had been present in the hall were all ordered out of the room just before the speech.

"Now, there is one more thing I must tell you," continued King Toma after a momentary pause. "A few days from now, I shall publicly announce the pardoning of Independent Guild Crime Sorcière's mages as a reward for their efforts in the battle."

As the king spoke, the various members of Crime Sorcière entered the hall through a door below and to the side of the balcony that King Toma was speaking from.

"I came to this decision after a long conversation with my daughter, Arcadios, and Kama. Kama was particularly resolute about pardoning them, declaring that the entire Garou Knights would be willing to endorse the decision."

"They put their lives on the line to protect the kingdom and its people, even against impossible odds," stated Kama, his voice firm and loud enough to be heard by everyone in the hall. "It was an honor to fight alongside Crime Sorcière. Obtaining a pardon for them was the least we could do."

"Indeed," agreed King Toma. "Now, I doubt all of you want to waste the night listening to me talk. I've taken up enough of your time, so go back to partying to your hearts' content! Celebrate until tomorrow morning if you want!"

Immediately after the announcement and subsequent cheers of joy, Sorano came up to Makarov and asked to join Fairy Tail. Unsurprisingly, he accepted the request of the attractive woman who wore clothing that exposed a lot of skin. As soon as Makarov agreed, Sorano ran off to tell her younger sister the good news.

As this was taking place, another incident occurred involving one of Fairy Tail's guild masters and an eager older sister. After seeing the king, Blaze came to the conclusion that if she attacked him and claimed his crown, then she would become the queen of Fiore. Luckily for King Toma, Natsu noticed his daughter stalking the king with the intent to pounce and was able to stop Blaze before she committed an act of treason.

When the evening grew late and the party became wilder and more chaotic, Arcadios attempted to restore some semblance of order by having the musicians play a slow song for couples to dance to.

This actually worked for a short time. Official couples like Natsu and Millianna and Ren and Sherry quickly took to dance floor. Erza and Jellal also shared a dance, as did Elfman and Evergreen (although the latter would claim it was simply to keep a close eye on Princess Hisui, who had somehow convinced Laxus to dance with her). Sherria even arranged a dance between Wendy and Romeo, much to the dragon slayer's embarrassment.

Juvia and Levy initially found themselves on the sidelines when Gray and Gajeel refused to dance. However, the former got pushed into accepting by Ultear and Meredy, who referred to it as a reward to celebrate their pardons, while the latter silently grabbed Levy's hand and dragged her onto the dance floor when Hibiki and Eve asked her for a dance.

Something nobody saw coming, though, was Erik dancing with Kinana. They spent the rest of the night together and, a few weeks later, Laki would reveal to the rest of Fairy Tail that the two of them had begun to date.

Unfortunately for Arcadios, the peace was only temporary. Sting got bored and challenged Rogue to a dance-off, one that quickly grew intense. For reasons nobody could fathom, the two dragon slayers started using their magic to enhance their dance moves. Predictably, their spells hit other mages who then retaliated. Although, hell didn't truly break loose until the buffet table and all of its contents were destroyed.

The next day, another room would be added to the list of repairs that Mercurius needed. Additionally, Arcadios would be taking a day off. It would officially be due to illness, though anybody who saw the man drinking and crying would recognize that as a blatant lie.

Fortunately, Arcadios recovered after a day, and the room was restored by the end of the week. They weren't alone, either, with the entire capital being repaired by end of the month.

Some people were surprised by the speed of Crocus's recovery. Adding to the weirdness were reports of people taking their eyes off of damaged areas for a few minutes, only to find those locations perfectly restored, as if time had been turned back to before their destruction.

Ultimately, though, everyone was just happy that things were going back to normal. Fiore was at peace again, at least for now.

Omake

"Hey, are you sure you want to undergo Master Natsu's training?" Sting asked Wendy. The meeting where Fairy Tail discussed the events brought on by the Eclipse Gate's opening had ended just a few minutes ago. "Each day is as brutal as fighting those dragons that came out of the Eclipse Gate."

"So be it," said Wendy, a determined look in her eye. "I want to become stronger so that I can be a part of the fight against Acnologia!"

"Alright then," accepted Sting, his face shifting from a look of concern to a grin.

Later, the Sky Dragon Slayer's confidence would waver when Rogue and Gajeel also talked to her about the training, the former warning her about the pain she would endure and the latter simply telling her to 'stay strong' with the deepest look of sympathy she had ever seen him make.

AN: And so the penultimate arc wraps up with Crime Sorcière being pardoned and Sorano joining her sister's guild earlier than canon. I'm debating whether to go straight into the final arc or to have another chapter first, covering the timespan between the two arcs.

Honestly, though, I can't believe I'm so close to the end. I really hope I can make something that I can feel proud of writing and that you all can enjoy reading. Bye for now!
