Chapter 7

Saachi picked the old palico to place him on her right upper back with his head looking over her right shoulder. She made haste until she was on the cliff looking over the golden fields where the path leads away from where she can see a deal blades hunter who was wearing blue-purple leather armour, with most of his face being covered getting smoked by a tail of a monster she has never seen. The monster was orange with yellowing colour mixed into with blue strips going down its back, neck, tail, legs and wings with its face mostly blue with a sandy tan going down its belly and in its wing meandering that fades into a light blue on the wings end. It had two radges running along with its shoulder that ran down its back a little will its tail has a row of four spicks at the tip of the tail with one huge spick at the tip. It had no front legs but it used its wings as arms. The duel blade hunter was on the ground pushing away from the monster as it walked up to him. It unleashed one of its ear-piercing roars before going in a killing bite. Her body just acted by itself, jumping off the cliff as she rolled and landed going as fast as she could covering the ground. She slid between the hunter and the monster as it locked its jaws on her shield trashing the large claw into the top of its mouth. It could not get the shield out of its mouth as it started whipping its head with Saachi along with it. Sandstorm held on till he was sent flying off of Saachi right shoulder when the monster had her in the air landing next to the other hunter. He pulled himself up to see the other hunter was very wounded, Sandstorm walked up to the hunter giving him a paw up to his feet to have another palico popping out of the ground next to them. The two palicos growl at one another "That's enough Glenn, we need to help her." He snarled at the black and white palico with brown markings running down the sides of it starting at both shoulders to his ankles where the lines go across the front of his ankles to the other side, having a paw print on his stomach. He seems to be wearing near the same as Sandstorm armour but wielding a sword for a weapon instead of a lance.

The duel blade hunter ran at the monster unsheathing his blades that were on his back which was at an angle with the handles past his left shoulder, the left blade was on the bottom and the right one was on the top. Unleashing slashes after slashes across its lags since the wing was in the air trying to slash at the hunter being whipped around from her shield as it got waged in the monster's mouth. As he continues his slashes he manages to get the monster to trip over falling to the ground with the hunter as well. Moving to the head quickly knowing he only has a few minutes before it gets up to slash at the jaw to get her shield free. Saachi was using her hunting knife stabbing it over and over in the lower jaw trying her best to get free since her shoulder got dislocated again after her un-time flight with the monster. He slashes across its lower jaw as she stabs the same time, they both heard the sound of the monster jaw getting broken. Saachi couldn't get her shield out of the monster's mouth so she unstrapped the shield, she got to her feet using her left hand to get herself up. The duel blade hunter saw her get away from the monster clamping her right arm as he turned his attention to the monster pulling itself up off the ground forcing one of its arms like wings shooting boulders out of the ground hurtling to the hunters. The male hunter dodges the boulders as Saachi had rolled out of the way almost getting hit by one.

As the male hunter continues to unleash a whirlwind of attacks at the monster lags keeping in the blind spot of the monster as it tries to move to hit the hunter. Saachi quickly pushes her shoulder back into place as the pain shot throw her body, she clamped her teeth together holding back the scream that what to leave her. Hold her right arm close to her body she ran at the monster unsheathing her blade slicing across the belly of the monster.

The monster jumped back away from the hunters, whipping its body around to make its tail whip stronger as the hunters got close to it. Saachi has seen the tail come at the duel blade hunter "DUCK!" She yelled at him and he looked to see the tail coming straight at him so he dropped to the ground the tail just missed him. She dropped to feeling the wind of the tail as it flew over her head. As she pulled herself up she felt pain in her right shoulder even more from the drop. She saw the two flash booms still in her belt that she got for her hunt of the Seltas, taking one out holding it in her right hand. She whistled getting the monster attached as she walked back making her more of a target as it started to charge at her. She throws the flash boom at her feet covering her eyes with her left arm with her sword still out, as a bright flash came from the case as it hit the ground stopping the monster in its tracks giving the duel blade hunter and the palicos some time to do more damage to it. She ran in again slashing down at its head as Sandstorm leaped ramming his lance into her shield digging deeper the spick farther into its mouth. Forcing the monster back to where the male hunter could unleash his attacks upon it. The monster jumped back flapping its wings to send the hunters away from it, as its land it turned and ran into the woods where the small stream ran down under the natural stone bridge.

As the monster left both hunters started sharpening their weapons " Thanks for the hand back there, I already got carted from this fucking Tigrex." He said sheathing his swords back letting his hands be free to get some position out of his item pouch. Saachi pulled a mage potion out and handed it to the other hunter, he pushed her hand back to say "I don't like taking items from other hunters. It just not feel right to take it from you." She cocked her eyebrow at him as he refused the offer, drinking the mage position herself making most of the pain go. She walked up to the male hunter as he was drinking his second position, slipped her last mage position into his pouch without him realizing she did it. The two palicos ran behind the hunter as they made their way to the monster location, the wind blowing some of her sent to them. Glenn let out a hiss at her to turn into a growl after, Sandstorm let out a low and deep growl at the younger but not much feline for hissing at her. "Glenn." The male hunter turns his head to looked at the pailco to look back at the female hunter as the wind blow her hair back from where it laid on her shoulders the light reflecting off her light blue eyes making them even brighter, her skin looks so soft that he could feel the softness by looking at her to relics she was talking to him. He cleared his throat before speaking from what he picked up from what she asked. "The Tigrex is in the flying wyvern family with a very powerful jaw and an ear-piercing roar. So having your shield in its mouth is a big help. Sorry about Glenn random hiss earlier, he does not act like around anyone before."

She let a soft giggle out as she smiles across her face " Oh it's ok, I am used to it now. Every feline excerpt Sandstorm here acts like that around me for a while until they get used to me." She crouched to the ground to see a track of a foot and the wing-hand from the Tigrex as it ran away, they did not throw a paintball at it as it fled to make it easier. She started to track the Tigrex down through the forest leading to the spot she thought it was running to. As they got close they could see the Tigrex was trying to drink some water with its back facing them. Saachi looked around and slowly crawled to the ledge overlooking the Tigrex to see it was trying to get her shield out of its mouth by bashing its head against the stone bridge. As it struggled the deeper the claw went that she could see blood running out of its mouth. She sneaks closer to jump onto its back holding on as it reared on its hind legs trying to shake her off but she held on until it landed back onto the hand part on its wings tired of trying to get the hunter off its back.

She pulls out her hunting knife so she stabbed the Tigrex between the shoulders then it gives one last good attempt to get her off she held on again with her hunting knife still in her hand. It bucked, sprung its body around as the other hunter can run in unsheathing his blades to attack the lags with the two palicos it even jumped up and landed hard to the ground Saachi held on as tightly but she was not going to hold on for much longer. She was getting tired as she was running low for energy from holding on so she stabbed her knife into its spin making it fall to the ground sending her flying onto the stone bridge just to fall off the other side landing in the small stream with the water splashing over her. Pulling herself up to see the male hunter and Sandstorm attacking its head most likely digging her shield deeper into its mouth while Glenn was attacking the tail that was in front of her. Sprinting threw the water to the down Tigrex unsheathing her sword slicing rate into it to pull it straight out leaving a deep gash just to have her and Glenn both sliced their swords down severing the tail tip where the spikes were off. As its tail tip gets severed off it flies into a cliff that the stone bridge was attached to ramming the shield farther into its mouth nearly killing it. As they saw its body went limp they all walked up to see it still breathing a little so Saachi sheathed her sword and walked closer to it to lift it's should a little and nod her head to Sandstorm to come to her he quickly rushes in using his lance to help her lift it so the duel blade hunter can finish it. He walks up to it with both of his blades still out stabbing straight through the chest hitting its heart putting it out of its pain. The body fell to the ground as Saachi and Sandstorm let it go, dusting off the dust the male hunter walked up sheathing his swords to hold out his hand. "Thanks again, may I ask for your name?" He asks as he smiles at her.

She little grabbed his hand to shake it to reply " I'm Saachi, the hunter for the Capital C Caravan, it is a pleasure to meet you, mister?" She gives a smile back but it was not the soft warm smile that she gives to Sandstorm but it was warming.

"I'm Blue, the pleasures all mine." He said just to put his hand behind his head noticing her shield was still in the mouth of the dead Tigrex. "I guess we should try and get your shield out of its mouth before we head back." As they tried and tried but the shield was not going anywhere out of the mouth.

She waves her hand and says " It's fine it's not the first time I 'lost' a shield and pretty sure it's not going to be the last one. When the guild gets it out of its mouth I sure they will return it, shit the Seltas." She had her hand in her item pouch to fell for the flare for her hunt, starting to head back to where she left the dead Seltas hoping nothing was eating it on her. "Sorry, but we gotta go Blue. I hunted a Selta before I came to help you with the Tigrex. I need to calm the zenny for it, come on Sandstorm." She said, waving her hand as she walked away with Sandstorm tailing behind. As they left the area where Blue and Glenn was in to see a red flare shot up into the air from them. As they walked she did not know she was smiling like a kid gets their first wooden weapon, seeing Sandstorm looking at her like she lost it. " What is it, Sandstorm?" She asked.

He rubbed his face with the back of one of his paws. " You just look like a kitten who met their first friend, that is all. Nya." He had a hard time keeping up with her since one off the tail spiked from the Tigrex hunt wound his lag. "I need to heal a little."

Saachi saw Sandstorm was moving kind of slower than he normal doses. "Ya you can, I will walk back with the dead Seltas to give you more time." She said to him, giving a soft and warm smile. He smiled back at her then dug underground. She turns to continue walking back to her kill to see a pack of three Jaggis going for it. She rushes at them with her hand on her sword's handle ready to unsheath at any-time notice.

As she got close to them they started to run away back into the woods. She watched them for a bit until they left, vanished into the woods. Walking close to her kill she fired her flare off with a yellow flare flying out of the flare gun to see the airship flying in landing next to her "well do you need a ride hunter?" The captain asked as he tilted his captain's hat at her.

She waves her hand then to reply "I will be walking back with the Seltas to Val Habar. " The captain tipped his hat at her and got the airship off the ground heading to Val Habar as a big bird with a duckbill which was called Gargwa and it has long legs that had three long toes with sharp talents at the end of them. The fathers were mostly a golden-brown colour with brown feathers down it's back, it's small wings and a small part under its neck, as the fad to blue when it gets closer to the golden-brown feather as well it's tail that fades into a dark green colour at well, as its lower wing was the blue colour as well. It had a weird crust on its head that had three bumps on the front near the sides of the crest with another smaller crest running just below the other creature. It was pulling a flat wagon with a feline driven the Gargwa cart and two Delivery Hunters walking next to it.

When the delivery hunters had seen her standing next to the dead Seltas with her shield was missing from her right forearm. They start to laugh as they pack the Seltas up onto the cart and strap it down with some rope "How did you lose one part of your weapon set." One of the hunters asked as they let out a laugh as they walked together.

Saachi just shook her head as she walked next to the cart and the two delivery hunters." Let's say it is in the mouth of another monster rate now." As she said that she saw Blue walking with an Aganth pulling the dead Tigrex with her shield prying its powerful jaws open with blood running out of it into a pool that was dripping from the wagon. The two delivery hunters that were travailing with her see it as the other delivery hunters seen Saachi was shieldless, they seem pretty shocked to see two newish hunters took out the Tigrex since they are for the more experienced hunter. As she and Blue walked next to each other talking, Sandstorm popped out of the ground rate next to her foot spooking the Gargwa costing the two delivery hunters to calm it down. "Glad to see you again, Sandstorm." She said kindly to the pailco as he leaped onto her left shoulder.
