Akiseta leaned against the Word Wall that was Paarthurnax's perch.
She had spent days flying from city to city on the backs of Odahviing and Durnehviir. She deliver her messages to each Jarl, and all agreed to attend. If they hadn't, she would have made them change their minds.
"What troubles you, Dovahkiin?" Paarthurnaax asked in Dovah Zuul.
"I am tired, my friend." Akiseta replied. "Trying to end this stupid war has been exhausting."
"Your mortal politics are beyond me. In the many years to come, times will change. Leaders will change. Nirn will change. And yet these mortals squabble over who sits upon an empty throne."
"It's how landstriders are. Even after all my time among them, there are things I will never understand."
"You can see the errors in what these mortals that trouble you are doing."
"I can. And I intend to stop it. I just hate to use this peaceful place for conflict ending again."
Paarthurnax leaned down, brushing against Akiseta's cheek with his nose. Akiaeta reached up and began to stroke his long snout. He let out a soft groan, his breath visible in the cold air.
The Throat of the World was a peaceful place. The climb could be dangerous to the unprepared, but the sights were breathtaking. High Hrothgar made her relaxed. It allowed her to disconnect from her troubles and just breath and meditate.
She'd been having trouble sleeping, her mind a turmoil of thoughts. And her dreams offered no comfort. They consisted off horrors about the war. Horrors about losing her home, her friends. Her daughter.
Akiseta missed Lucia. She wanted to hold Lucia in her arms. She wanted to visit the market with her and buy fresh venison and those delicious apples Carlotta sold, and little trinkets from Frelia, and eat at The Bannered Mare.
She wanted to hold Lucia's hand and relax at the park, and walk along the river outside the city.
She wanted to go home.
And she missed Serana. She hadn't seen her mate in days. She kept wondering what it was Serana had to do that was so important that she left on her own. She worried for her safety.
She wanted to hold Serana and kiss her and dance with her and nest with her and sleep beside her.
Akiseta kissed Paarthurnax on the nose, and then went inside. She ate in silence, then went to lay down on the stone bed she'd been occupying. She sighed and closed her eyes, drifting into sleep.
