AN: Thanks Goku275, NinjaFang1331, AliceCullen3, and MDM11. MDM11, I don't really plan on touching the Dragon Gods in this story, in part because 100 Year Quest is still in progress. As for adding those other characters to Crime Sorcière… maybe Kageyama and Erigor, though they probably wouldn't play a big role.

The Dragneel family taking a three-day vacation to tropical Caracole Island seemed like such a good idea when they first planned it.

And it did go quite well at first. The family of three humans, one human-turned-dragon, and one Exceed enjoyed two and a half days of sun, sand, and seafood.

Then, soldiers from the Alvarez Empire arrived on the island and attempted to take control of it. They began forcibly rounding up the inhabitants, something that none of the Dragneels could accept.

As a result, Natsu and Millianna had their children hide in a more forested part of the Caracole Island while the two Fairies split up to take down the Alvarez forces. Happy was assigned to watch over the kids, though Blaze was also told to guard Iggy so that she wouldn't run off to fight the soldiers.

This led to the current situations that the three groups were facing.

"You fail!" shouted Marin. Natsu threw a Fire Dragon's Iron Fist at the guy's face, only for him to teleport away the moment before it hit. He appeared behind the Fairy, striking his back before teleporting away again. "Absolute failure, you foolish jeeerks!"

Marin had introduced himself as a member of the Alvarez Empire's Brandish Squad immediately before deeming the dragon a 'failure.' He then attacked Natsu, using his magic to perform hit-and-run tactics that prevented the Fairy from landing even a single hit.

"That's it! Let's see you dodge this!" shouted the dragon, fed up. After a quick glance to confirm that there was nobody other than himself and Marin nearby, he slammed his right fist into the ground. Pillars of fire erupted from the ground around him, bathing the area in flames.

As the inferno dissipated, Marin appeared in front of the dragon, who was still kneeling with his right fist on the ground. The Alvarez mage glared at him with contempt.

"Did you seriously think that would work!?" shouted Marin rhetorically. "You're dealing with a spatial specialist! I can teleport more than a few feet away! You fail so much! Heck, this is practically a mercy kill!"

The Alvarez mage teleported to Natsu's side, ready to kill the Fairy. As he arrived at his destination, Marin caught a glimpse of red on the dragon's cheeks.

"Fire Dragon's Claw!" said Natsu, Pseudo-Dragon Force active. Using his right arm and leg as footing, the Fairy kicked Marin in the ribs. The Alvarez mage was sent flying, crashing into a nearby house which proceeded to collapse on top of him. Suffice to say, he wasn't getting back up any time soon.

Though Natsu knew his foe was no longer conscious, he still shouting at the irritating man's limp, buried body. "It was a distraction, idiot! I drew your attention with the big flames so that you wouldn't notice that I raised my speed and senses!"

Indeed, by channeling the increase in abilities that his Pseudo-Dragon Force granted him, Natsu had been able react to Marin's teleportation instantly, delivering an attack so quickly that the Alvarez mage had been unable to avoid it with his magic.

"Hey, over here!" shouted one Alvarez foot soldier to his nearby comrades. "We've got two mages over—"

The man's words were cut off as Happy knocked him out with the flat side of his Musica Sword (which he had long since started keeping in his backpack at all times). The Exceed was currently using Battle Mode Shift since he felt the strength it provided was better suited to protect Blaze and Iggy than the speed emphasized by his human transformation.

As the forces the unconscious soldier called out to ran over to provide support for their allies, the second mage that he had mentioned attacked them.

"Hell Flame Dragon's Nekomata!" shouted Blaze as she fired a spiraling pink-red flame at the soldiers. The spell combined her Hell Flame Dragon Slayer Magic with the Kitten Blast she learned from her mother, producing an even more powerful attack.

So powerful, in fact, that the group of soldiers was blasted away. They all got bruised and bloody from the impact, with those directly exposed to the flames getting burned too. Blaze had been holding back to avoid causing any deaths or serious injuries, yet the damage she inflicted was still enough to keep all but a few of them from getting back up and continuing to fight

Those remaining stragglers only lasted a few more seconds, though, before Happy knocked them out. With all the enemies defeat, the Exceed turned to Blaze and Iggy and spoke.

"Other soldiers might have heard our fight. We should move deeper into the forest."

"Right, mya," agreed Blaze with a nod. Iggy copied his sister, albeit without the 'mya.'

Seeing that there would be no resistance, Happy shifted into his human transformation, picked up Iggy, and triggered his Aera. The Exceed did not rise above the treetops, instead weaving around branches as he flew.

Blaze followed Happy and Iggy from a few steps behind. A part of her wanted to keep on beating up enemy soldiers, ideally also running into and fighting a stronger, higher-ranked foe. However, these desires were overruled by her big sister instincts, which told the young dragon slayer to stay by her little brother and protect him from harm.

"Hmm," went Blaze, thinking as she moved through the forest. The girl smiled. "I wonder if Mommy and Daddy will let me join Fairy Tail after this."

"The shack is in ruins!" cried Brandish, tears running down her face as she stared at the wreckage of a food stand. She had specifically ordered her subordinates to not destroy this place, yet her source of delicious star mango gelato was gone! "What's the meaning of this!?"

Even though she was a fully grown adult, Brandish began to mope like a little girl. She kept this up for a minute before sighing and starting to walk away. "I was looking forward to that… if there's no star mango gelato, I'll just destroy this island and go back."

Before she could do so, though, Brandish felt a spell get fired at her from behind. Using Command T, the Spriggan altered the size of the ground between her and the spell, expanding it into a barrier against the attack. She turned around to face her assailant.

"You won't be destroying this island on my watch!" shouted Millianna fiercely, unfazed by Brandish's immense Magic Power and casual blocking of her Nekōsoku Tube.

Unimpressed, Brandish shrank the Fairy with her magic and turned her focus back to erasing Caracole Island from the map.

"Nekōsoku Knight!" yelled Millianna as she returned to full size, her body now covered in a pink layer of magic reminiscent of a cat. She raised her hands. "Nekōsoku Tube!"

Surprised by the undoing of her magic, Brandish's attention returned to the Fairy in time to see the pink magic layered over her hands morph into ropes. Those ropes shot at the Spriggan, who again expanded the earth into a shield.

This time, however, Millianna's spell wasn't simply stopped by the barrier. Instead, the ropes expanded upon hitting the earth, enveloping it. The ground then returned to its original size and shape. With its job done, the spell faded away.

"Annoying," spoke Brandish, realizing that this fight would take more than the minimum amount of effort. "Command T: Expansion."

The ground between her and Millianna cracked, bursting as the earth below it grew straight in the direction of the latter.

"Huh?" went Millianna, confused. Didn't her opponent realize that she would just get rid of it in the same way as she did the earthen barrier? "Nekōsoku Tube!"

The Fairy fired another set of the magical pink rope, which enveloped the advancing pillar of earth. Except, while most of the ground reverted to its prior state, the topmost section of the pillar continued flying toward Millianna. Caught off guard, the Fairy was unable to dodge as it slammed into her and knocked her back.

"All I have to do is target the layer of earth just below the surface," explained Brandish in a bored tone. "That way, even if you use your magic to undo mine, the momentum causes the unaffected top layer of earth to keep moving forward."

"Now that I know it's coming, I can avoid your attacks," retorted Millianna, getting back up. "It'll take more than a slab of earth to defeat me, mya!"

"How about a dozen at once?" asked Brandish indifferently. "Or a hundred? I'm one of the Alvarez Empire's most powerful mages, the Spriggan 12. Consider this your warning. Leave… now."

Natsu, having sprouted his Pseudo-Dragon Force wings, flew with all his might. He had been pummeling the Alvarez Empire's soldiers when the wind changed directions and he smelled his wife's blood. In that moment, defeating the invaders stopped being his number one priority.

"Millianna!" shouted Natsu as he came across his injured, unconscious wife and her opponent. His voice was filled with concern, at least until he turned to the one who harmed Millianna. It was clear to him from her immense Magic Power that she was the invaders' leader. "You! Why are you attacking Caracole Island!?"

Brandish raised an eyebrow as she stared at the furious man before her — one with the guild mark of Fairy Tail like the woman at her feet. He had enough Magic Power that her Command T would have its effects reduced, not to mention his scales and wings. It would be a difficult battle, but, unless he had some special magic or hidden reserve of strength, Brandish predicted that she would win.

"I guess I have to repeat myself," grumbled the Spriggan. She raised her voice as she responded to the Fairy. "I am Brandish µ, one of the Alvarez Empire's Spriggan 12. My country will be taking Lumen Histoire from your guild in the name of Emperor Spriggan. You should run away now, while you have the chance."

With that, Brandish began to walk away from Natsu.

"Wait!" shouted the Fairy angrily. "You hurt my wife, and you're going to hurt my guild. You think I'm just going to sit here quietly?"

"I couldn't care less," she replied, stopping to look back at Natsu. Power oozed from her body as she activated Command T and shrank the island into a small rock beneath her feet.

Those who were previously on the island found themselves falling into the ocean. Natsu caught Millianna bridal-style and used his wings to keep them above the water's surface. A small distance away, Happy was using his Aera to keep himself and Iggy (who hadn't learned to swim yet) similarly airborne, while Blaze fell into the water and simply kicked her legs to keep herself afloat.

"In Alvarez, there are twelve of us mages who are this strong or greater," Brandish told Natsu. "So don't come picking battles you can't win."

Not giving him another glance, Brandish moved to one of the Alvarez Empire's nearby ships and left the shrunken Caracole Island behind.

"Grr," growled Natsu. The only reason that he wasn't chasing after Brandish to take her down was because of his wife's current state of unconsciousness. It just wouldn't be safe to put her down somewhere (most likely the miniature island) and leave her defenseless, especially since some of the Alvarez Empire's forces were among those in the waters around them.

With a sigh, the Fairy transformed fully into his dragon form. He then put his wife, kids, Happy, and as many other people as he could find (including Alvarez Empire soldiers, who were then bound by Blaze's Nekōsoku Tubes) on his back and began the long flight back to Ishgar.

"Our vacation definitely ended with a blast," thought Natsu grumpily, recalling what Brandish had said. "I guess Ivan isn't the only one outside our guild who found out about Lumen Histoire. *sigh* Gramps and Mavis aren't going to like this."

Omake

"…Star mango gelato…" whispered Brandish sadly. She was currently on the deck of an Alvarez ship, curled up in a ball and tracing circles on the floor.

One of her subordinates nervously approached her to give a report. "U-um, we've determined the number of casualties from Caracole Island. Half our soldiers were left behind when the island was destroyed, and half of those remaining received injuries too severe to continue fighting, including Marin Hollow. Miraculously, none of the injured are at risk of dying."

"I don't care," responded Brandish, not even giving the soldier a glance. "Staaar maaango gelatooo…"

AN: To be clear, of the Alvarez soldiers left behind, most were picked up by Natsu and the rest swam to nearby islands too small/unpopulated to serve any military function in the war. This might just be me being soft, but nobody on Caracole Island died.

Anyway, that's all for now. Bye!
