Chapter 14

As she returned to Val Habar she had seen the Caravaner walking up to her with his white pet bird on his forearm. "How was the hunt Kindred Hunter? Thanks to you we got ourselves a merchant and hopefully, a new hunter may join us as well. Tomorrow morning we will be heading to the next town which is called Harth." His pet bird jumped onto his shoulder as he let one of his loud pats on her back that echo in her chest.

She stumbles a little bit catching herself, she looks to the blacksmith knowing she needs to fix her armour and pay off her tab if the other hunter takes up on her offer before going to do one last quest before it gets dark. She would like to go to the gathering hub to see if Blue was still around or if he moved on in his hunting. She can't deny that she may have imprinted on him when she saw him on the ferry and made the urge to be with him stronger after making love to him when she was drunk, but she still was afraid to get close to anyone. If they found out what she truly was. A monster in human skin many would call her for being the last shapeshifter alive. Not just a normal monster but an elder dragon on top of that, she would be killed on the spot by the Guild Knights that were everywhere in every town. She was lost in her thoughts as she walked up to the blacksmith to see that he was talking to her. "Sorry, The Man I was lost in my thoughts, did a hunter come up to you with my guilds card?"

The Man nodded his head as she handed over her chest part to him still in her black long-sleeved undershirt. "Ya, she did." He said as he was fixing the gashed marks from the Kecha Wacha claws. "I may need to make the metal stronger so that monster claws can't pierce it." He went to work making the metal plating stronger, getting back into place to hand it over to Saachi to put it back on, leaving the zenny for the Grappling Hook and her repairs.

She went to get a few more quests done before calling it done for the day to head over to the gathering hub. She looked around to see Blue sitting down at a table drinking a mug of ale with his palico next to him. She felt crazy doing this but knowing she was going to be moving to a new town tomorrow she had to see and be with him one last time. She walked over to his table. "Is this set taken?" She asked as he looked up at her and shook his head.

"No, it's free." He replays letting her sit with him. She could feel her check burning up as she looked into his brown eyes. He smiled as he took a drink from his ale. "You're blushing again."

She quickly looked away, hiding her face but she knew she had to ask him. She looked back at him taking a deep breath, "I'm not good at doing this but I know we just met but I was wondering if we can be a couple. I have feelings for you and I could not shake them away." She could see that his smile turned into a surprised look. She wanted to run out of the hub, she knew this was crazy. "I'm sorry if I made this occur for you just to hear that." She said, pulling herself up from the set and about to walk away just to feel his hand on hers.

He was standing up and he walked over pulling her in to kiss her on her soft lips. He whispered into her ear "I would love to be your man, I just thought I would never have a beautiful woman as you asked me." Giving her another kiss, they both sat down and ordered a round of ale to chit-chat to each other.

As the night was getting later and later they still talked getting to know each other. She should tell him about her being a shifter but how can she, she does not want to scare him or think she was the same type of monster that they hunt down."We are moving to a new town tomorrow, someplace called Harth." She told him as she finished her drink to change the thought in her head.

He looked a little upset to hear that she was going to be going away. "Harth you say, I may have to travel so we can be together." He said as the fire was reflecting off her ice-blue eyes. He looked over to the quest gate to see it was late at night and Saachi was already on her third mug of ale. "I will help you to your wagon again." He pulled himself up to help her up out of her seat and picked her up in his arms carrying her to the caravan wagon. She had her head laid on his chest with her sword lying on her chest with her right hand over it. Her left arm hung with the shield as he walked into the wagon laying her down onto her bed. He saw she was already asleep so he took off her shield and removed her sword placing them onto the weapon rack. He tunes around to look at his new love as she looks so peaceful as she sleeps. He placed his swords next to her sword and laid next to her with his chest against her shoulder, placing his arm across her. The moonlight showed through the window with the light hitting her light skin giving it a lovely grow as he moved some of her hair out of her face kissing her as he laid his head down to close his eyes.

As the sun was up and shining through the window into her eyes waking her up. She looked to see Blue was still sleeping, she smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek waking him up. "Good morning." She said as she was laying on his chest.

"Good morning, beautiful." He replied to her. The two kiss each other and she pulls herself up off of him so they could get their weapons on walking out holding hands.

She covered her eyes from the bright sun as they walked out to see the caravan packing up. "I should help pack up the caravan, love you." She kissed him as walk to help pack as he watched her hips sway side to side walking to land a hand. He felt a paw on his leg from his palico Glenn and he walked to get his bag pack from the hotel room he was renting.

The Caravaner rolled out a map as he took a drink of coffee from his metal mug as his pet bird jumped onto a stand next to the table. The Man put a wooden crate with all his blacksmith tools onto the large stone anvil sliding it into the wagon. He polled on a chain that the sign can flip down and the sides of the wagon can be flipped up. The guildmarm was pushing up the quest board just to get her frog legs on the bag she had with her to get stuck in between the quest board. She saw it stuck and struggled to pull it out but just to fall back with the legs freed. The two new members got their wagons packed and Saachi and The Man pushed the wagons into place. With the last wagons hooked on the Caravaner walk up with the new hunter beside him. "Listen up everyone, Night here is the new hunter that will be joining us. She will be part of the Kinder Hunter's hunting party." Everyone was happy to see that the caravan had a new hunter but Saachi knew this was going to be a long few days to get in a good hunting routine with the new hunter.

Both hunters and the palicos jumped into the wagon and The Man jumped up in the front of the wagon where the Caravaner was draining the Popo from checking all the wagons to make sure they were attached correctly.
