AN: Thanks Goku275 and MDM11. MDM11, just be patient. The rest of Crime Sorcière will appear… soon-ish? I'm not sure how many chapters it will take or how longer writing those chapters will take, but it will probably be three or four chapters maximum.
"Ah, I see," said Wall a grin forming as he identified Laxus's weakness. "You're a Second Generation Dragon Slayer."
Laxus leaped toward the Spriggan, spurring the Machias to change his arm into a more physical combat-oriented mode. They both threw a punch, a fist clad in lightning meeting a fist made of metal with equal strength.
"All I have to do is remove that Lacrima from your chest, and you'll lose your signature magic," provoked Wall. Neither he nor Laxus pulled back their clashing fists. "Of course, a wound that big would probably end the fight on its own."
"You really think it'll be that easy?" retorted the Fairy. He drew back his unoccupied fist then threw another electrified punch at the Spriggan, slamming him into the ground. "I've fought people way worse than you!"
Despite impacting the earth hard enough to form a crater, Wall bore a smirk rather than injuries. Using the electricity absorbed by his Voltex Charge, the Machias transformed his unmodified arm into a gauntlet. "Consider this a warning; lightning ain't going to work on me."
The Spriggan used his newly-transformed arm to uppercut the dragon slayer, sending him flying.
"Ahya hya hya hya hya!" laughed Wall cruelly. "I want ya to think real hard about how you wanna die!"
The Machias jumped after the Fairy, landing on a rooftop and striking Laxus again as his flight slowed down. The Spriggan then went for a third hit, only for Laxus to avoid it by launching himself upward (coating his body in dragon slaying lightning to strengthen the jump).
The dragon slayer spun as he descended toward Wall, landing with a downward kick that sent the Spriggan crashing through the roof and floors until he reached ground level. The Machias landed in a kneeling position, unperturbed by the Fairy's attack.
"Analysis complete," spoke Wall mechanically. "My current personality type: Impulsive. Its flaws could be exploited by this opponent. Personality type overwrite: Heartless. Power up to: Exoskeleton Assault Mode! Target acquired: Laxus. Locked on. Magic confinement fusion ignited. Estimated time until extermination: 10 seconds."
Laxus watched through the hole that he had made smashing Wall through the house as the Spriggan's body transformed completely. The Machias began to glow.
Suddenly, a blast of plasma shot by the dragon slayer, destroying part of his shirt sleeve as it passed him. The Fairy's blood ran cold as the blast continued into the sky and exploded with great intensity.
Laxus immediately turned back toward the Spriggan, preparing for Wall's next shot. However, he instead found a mechanical hand stabbing into his chest. The Machias's face, now more robotic in both senses of the word, was just a few inches away from his own.
"Subterfuge successful," uttered Wall emotionlessly. His hand wrapped around the crystalline source of the Fairy's magic. "Weakness accessed. Assault Wall: destroy Lightning Dragon Lacrima."
The Spriggan's grip tightened, crushing the Lacrima.
"This world belongs to me," muttered Dimaria, shaking with fury. "How dare you sully it with your presence!? Get out!"
The Spriggan dashed toward Ultear, the source of the intrusion, and swung her sword. However, Ultear blocked the attack by using Ice-Make to create large Dahlia flowers between the two of them.
"This is my world!" screamed Dimaria as she hacked away at the ice. "No one else is allowed in here!"
So focused on Ultear, the Spriggan forgot about her other opponents. Wendy, Romeo, and Sherria surrounded their berserk foe and struck.
"Purple Net!" shouted Romeo. The purple fire he shot wrapped around Dimaria's body while her sword was raised above her head, restraining her long enough for the other two to attack.
"Sky Dragon's Wing Attack!" cried Wendy, hammering the Spriggan with arms wreathed in wind.
"Sky God's Boreas!" yelled Sherria, blasting Dimaria from the opposite direction with a current of black wind.
The Spriggan dropped to one knee from the attack. Yet, instead of getting more frustrated, she become terrifyingly calm.
"The fact that you could control time too made me lose my temper, but I really have nothing to worry about," said Dimaria, regaining her confidence. "You protected yourself with Ice Magic rather than Time Magic. Most of your strength is going toward keeping these brats active, isn't it? You're nothing before my true power!"
As the Spriggan spoke, Ultear grimaced. Her reasoning was wrong, but it was true that Ultear couldn't devote much attention to fighting due to the amount of focus it took to counter Dimaria's magic.
That burden was inherent to Ultear's method of entering the space between time, though. Bringing a few other people into the world of frozen time alongside herself only increased the Magic Power consumption marginally, so long as Ultear didn't cast any big spells.
Unfortunately, Dimaria's mistake did not change how bad their current situation was. When the Spriggan touched the ground and the area around her exploded, sending Sherria and the Fairies flying and destroying Ultear's defensive Ice-Make. As the dust settled, they saw that Dimaria's appearance had changed greatly.
"Take-Over: God Soul," uttered the Spriggan. As her enemies gaped at her in shock, Dimaria started to scream and caused a massive amount of energy to erupt from her body. The energy engulfed the Fiore mages, harming them as it turned the area into a crater.
"Greetings," spoke the Spriggan. "You may call me Chronos, the God of Time. The God Chronos was worshipped from ancient times in the capital of Mildian. That god and a descendant of those people merged as one."
The mages looked at their opponent with fear (aside from Sherria, who was thinking about how it was good that they had two god slayers present). They remained frozen in place until Dimaria rose a finger at Wendy, causing Carla to act.
"Wendy!" cried the Exceed, pushing her partner out of the way as a beam shot from the Spriggan's finger. The beam pierced through Carla's side; a space previously occupied by the dragon slayer.
"Carla!" screamed Wendy, rushing to her friend's side as the Exceed collapsed. She kept crying Carla's name, desperate for a response.
"She's still alive!" declared Ultear, snapping Wendy out of her state of panic. "I took Carla back out of this space between time. Time is now stopped for her, although it is still touch and go. I am going to send you out too, so prepare to cast your most powerful healing magic!"
"But, what about Dimaria?" asked Wendy hesitating.
"The three of us can handle her," answered Romeo, pretending to be more confident than he really was.
"Just focus on healing Carla," Sherria told her.
The dragon slayer nodded, accepting her friends' words. She turned to face the Exceed, then froze as she left Dimaria's world.
"You have defiled my world!" shouted the Spriggan, unfazed by her opponents' declarations. "I will reduce you to corpses in the name of divine justice!"
Laxus wheezed, only able to take shallow breaths with Wall's hand in his chest. The Machias looked him in the eye and spoke.
"The Lightning Dragon Lacrima providing you with power has been destroyed. The wound inflicted in destroying it is deep enough for you to bleed out. Even if this was not the case, your lightning has no effect on me. If this were chess, I would declare checkmate."
The Spriggan raised the arm that wasn't impaling Laxus to the Fairy's face. His palm began to glow and crackle, charging up for a beam attack.
"I will end this now. You should thank me! Your pain and suffering will be gone… along with your body."
However, despite the state he was in, Laxus found the strength in him to resist. The Fairy grabbed his enemy's wrists, gripping them tightly.
"Whatever turning gears you have instead of a brain must be pretty damaged if you thought that shitty gift from my dad was the source of my power," rasped Laxus. "Fairy Tail is where my strength comes from!"
Laxus's hands began to spark.
"I told you, that will not—" started Wall.
As the Fairy's lightning changed color to that of blood, his grip on the Spriggan's wrists grew strong enough to crush them. As they broke, Laxus tore Wall's hands off and threw them aside.
"What is this!?" cried the Machias, stumbling back. The words 'personality settings error' started sounding repeatedly from his body, a fact confirmed by the return of his emotions. "This black-red lightning… I can't analyze it!"
"With Natsu having his Fire Dragon King Mode and all of Fairy Tail's other dragon slayers getting Dual Element Modes, I figured I should also find a way to level up," explained Laxus.
"Missiles!" shouted the Spriggan. Between his inability to comprehend the blood-red lightning and his glitching personality, the Machias was unable to maintain his composure. He panicked and decided to erase the source of the chaos. "Fire!"
But the Fairy was unfazed. He kept talking, casually using his lightning to destroy the missiles as they got close.
"So, when the First Master mentioned my great-grandfather's Red Lightning, I decided to learn how to use it. Behold… Red Lightning Dragon Mode!"
With those words, Laxus wreathed his fist in Red Lightning and punched through Wall's torso. The broken remains of the Machias fell to the ground, the 'personality settings error' message ending with a drawn-out 'err…orrrrrr….'
"Fire God's Bronze Fist!" shouted Romeo, charging at Dimaria with a hand wrapped in black flames. The Spriggan blocked his punch with her arm, grunting as it struck.
"Impertinent human, I am a god," spoke Dimaria. Internally, she was irritated that a child's strike had been strong enough for her to feel it. She decided to punish him for that. "A god who manipulates time. Time is pain, and you will feel that pain. Âge Scratch!"
Countless blasts of light, their shaped reminiscent of a clock's hands, struck the Fairy. Romeo screamed, each hit causing him far more pain than it should have given how shallow the wounds they inflicted were.
"Sky God's Blizzard!" yelled Sherria, striking while Dimaria was focused on Romeo. She unleashed a storm of punches and kicks, enhanced by her black wind, on the Spriggan.
"No human may strike a god!" declared Dimaria. The Spriggan fought back, blocking some hits and landing a few blows on the Lamia. However, to her surprise, the parts of her that Sherria struck were partially reverting from their God Soul appearance.
"Well, you must be an evil god!" retorted the Lamia. "Because I bet the good gods love human beings! My power is for bringing down the bad gods!"
"God Slayer Magic!?" exclaimed Dimaria, her opponent's words making her come to an important realization. "That wasn't just a bluff!?"
An unfamiliar sense of terror filled the Spriggan, part of it originating from Chronos. Feeling truly threatened for the first time since the war began, she gathered her full power in her right hand to erase the god slayer before her. Unfortunately for Dimaria, her panic made her forget that there were two god slayers present.
"Fire God's Helios!" hollered Romeo, flinging a ball of god-slaying flames at the Spriggan before she could attack Sherria. It exploded on contact, knocking Dimaria away and causing her God Soul to flicker between active and inactive.
As the Spriggan struggled to her feet, the god slayers exchanged a look and nodded.
"Sky God's…"
"Fire God's…"
"…Bellow!"
Streams of black wind and black fire burst forth from Sherria and Romeo's mouths, mixing together into a Unison Raid as they struck Dimaria. The last of the Spriggan's God Soul was stripped away, leaving her to scream as she was ravaged by their spells.
"My… world…" spoke Dimaria as her consciousness faded away. "It's… falling apart…"
"These kids are powerful," mused Ultear as time resumed and Wendy healed Carla. "Although… trusting her friends to fight a god… actually fighting a god… It's clear what their true strength is, and I envy them for finding it at such a young age."
Omake
When Dimaria regain consciousness, she was in a tent and bound with rope made from Magic Sealing Stone. The only other person present was Ultear, who wore a terrifying smile that didn't reach her eye.
"I heard an interesting story about a certain Spriggan who toyed with her enemies by stripping them naked for all to see," said the Crime Sorcière mage coldly. A sense of dread filled Dimaria. "I wonder what the Spriggan found so enjoyable about doing that. Do you want to help me find out?"
"Noooooooooooo!"
Fortunately for Dimaria, Ultear's allies were drawn by the screams and stopped her from inflicting the overly cruel punishment on the Spriggan.
AN: I feel like these fights went by a bit quickly. I suppose that's probably because of the nearly chapter-long Natsu vs August battle. After that, half-chapter fights with exposition and conversations would seem a lot shorter.
Meh, not much I can about that. Bye!
