Hey folks, here is an update for Kitsune Rook. It took some time but I do hope you enjoy it. We have finally made it to the Calm before the storm. I know some wanted me to skip the training montage bs that typically happens here, but I have several other major moments I wanted to have occur in this slot in time before the big match with Raiser.
Quick heads-up, this fic has lemons. It hasn't gotten there yet but this chapter has one and they will gradually become more regular from this point on. This is your only heads up.
A couple answers to reviews then a small blurb and we can get started:
Q#1-Not gonna add Xenovia? Or is she just not going to appear in this fic?
A-Who said that? Why would you think she wouldn't be there? Maybe she will be a member of Naruto's group of girls, maybe she won't. We'll have to wait and see.
Q#2-will any of the remaining Rookie 12 end up in the DxD world. It would be interesting to see Naruto's former team react to the current Naruto.
A-That would be a long ways away but I am keeping the audience aware of events in the elemental nations every few chapters.
Q#3-So they decided to search the church at last? Even though that is where Asia wanted to go? Shows how intelligent the peerage and the author are. Very creative in showing the same exact scene as the original. To add some new characters even!
A-They had no reason to expect a nun from the church was connected to the fallen, why would they assume that the fallen were hiding out at a church, they aren't welcome there and if anything they would assume the church is in working order if the organization is sending personnel to staff it. It's actually smart on the fallen's part as it's a pretty much right under your nose method of hiding. As for the fight...it didn't really go down like the fight in the show at all.

Arc: Games
Chapter 8: The Calm
Rias Gremory's peerage currently resided in a state of chaos. Granted it was organized chaos and all things considered it wasn't all that bad. They had a day to pack and prepare to begin their brief training trip. Naruto had made several clones with express jobs to pack for everyone using seals. The three leaders of the peerage, including the actual Naruto, however were busy trying to formulate a training regimen for the peerage overall while everyone else scrambled to get whatever they could need for the next two weeks in seclusion.
Two weeks wasn't long enough to truly make any new breakthroughs. They knew that. Still they had to refine the skills that their group did have and properly brief and prepare them for their specific opponents in the upcoming rating game.
Needless to say, the day was proving to be rather stressful. Naruto was especially annoyed for having to snap at the pawns earlier when they had been dragging their feet after being told to leave their porn behind. They wouldn't have time for it anyway. He would make sure of it.
Asia was at least easy to pack for, though she blushed crimson as Naruto's clone sealed away her panties and bras. Naruto himself had to chuckle at that. She was far too cute for her own good. Still she had hardly anything of her own still, he decided he'd need to remedy that after the game.
Naruto would have liked to have gotten underway to the planned retreat earlier than they had. He was still untrained enough with seals that he had to be very careful when creating them otherwise he could damage the items held within. Nothing like causing an explosion or anything, but enough that the clothing might come out with holes or shrunk or expanded in size. Seals were weird, even if he had some understanding of them compared to the rest of the peerage who all saw only squiggled lines anytime he worked at a seal.
Finally the time came and Naruto along with the others was gathered before the Occult Research Cubhouse. It would be a while before they saw it again, even if they won. If they lost...it was best not to dwell on that possibility.
After a brief spell incantation the entire club, minus one sealed bishop vanished in a bright flash of red light. Almost instantly they appeared in a forest clearing beside a gravel road. It was a beautiful setting. Green trees whispered in the wind and the sky was clear and climate warm but not hot. A perfect place to relax.
Sadly relaxing would be the last thing they would do here.
"Wait, we're just in the woods?" Issei asked.
"I thought we were going to some big getaway house or something to train Rias-buchou." Katase said.
"Oh we are. It's down this road a little ways. The charms and seals on the property keep anyone who isn't keyed into it from teleporting directly to the property and you seven have yet to be keyed into it." Rias answered.
"It wouldn't matter if you were. Training starts now." Naruto said as he stepped forward and unsealed several sets of arm, leg, and waistbands.
"These magically weighted bands will be attached to you from here until the day before the rating game. It won't do a whole lot in actually increasing your strength in only two weeks, but it will undoubtedly increase your reaction times. Of that I have no doubt." Rias explained as Naruto and Akeno began helping the others to put on and activate their weight bands.
"It's a few miles to the estate so we'll all be jogging if we want to make it before nightfall." Naruto explained getting moans of displeasure from the newbies. It was music to his ears.
"Hey this will literally be the easiest day of the next two weeks. Suck it up." He said cheerfully, getting louder groans.
"Naruto, please stop harassing them. We have a lot to do." Rias said as she and Akeno took up the lead for the jog quickly followed by the rest of the group.
The trip took three hours. Three full hours, and Naruto was again annoyed. For human teens that would honestly be pretty decent, especially with the fitness level of the newer pawns. For devils, even low class devils like the newbies, it was abysmal.
"We have so much work to do." Rias moaned softly while Akeno let her king lean against her shoulder.
"Maybe they just need some motivation? Naruto-kun and I will make sure they have all the...stimulation that they'll need while training from here on out." Akeno said with a seductive smile that went against the terrifying aura she began leaking out to frighten the exhausted pawns.
"You know, Wulfrun has been complaining about wanting a new workout routine." Naruto said chuckling at the look of mixed perversion and fear that ran through the perverts' minds at the thought of his familiar.
"It's not fair, these new weights were so much heavier than the old ones. It was like running in glue with rocks tied to my arms and legs!" Motohama whined.
"Of course they're heavier than your old set. How else are you going to have any noticeable gain?" Aika replied.
"Still sucks." Issei said as he dropped to the ground.
"Get up, perv." Koneko said as she walked past.
"I know she is a rook but come on!" Matsuda complained as he looked at the setting on Koneko's bands being more than fifty times what was on his own.
It took some time, and shortened fuses to finally rally the peerage together but finally they entered the house and Naruto had several clones set up the various rooms for the peerage while they all moved to the small, by devil standards, sitting room.
"Alright everyone. Like Naruto said earlier, today will be the easiest day of our training trip." Rias ignored the handful of whimpers. "Tonight we'll be overviewing some recorded matches between Raiser and others as well as talking about our strategy for our own game. Hopefully we won't be up too late."
"Either way go get cleaned up and meet back up in the dining room for some food. There are some staff cooking and setting up the projector to watch the other games." Akeno ordered and the group filtered out till only Naruto, Akeno, and Rias remained.
They remained silent till they were sure they were alone and finally Naruto turned to the both of them. They had curious looks, but both knew he had something on his mind that he was planning. When Naruto slid into a seat rather than heading off to shower first they knew he had something to say to them in private. Something more than just the usual training regimen ideas.
"Naruto, what's on your mind?" Rias asked a little worriedly.
"Nothing is actually wrong I just might have an extra ace for us I need to look into. I haven't dabbled with it at all though so I need to seclude myself for a couple of days. Just in case it's really destructive." He said.
The girls shared a glance before hardening their eyes. When they turned to look at him as one, he barely restrained the flinch from the serious gazes they sent his way. He couldn't make them act like that with just a look. It was some girls only thing that he was sure Venelena and Grayfia taught them. Totally not fair.
"So who will go with you to make sure you don't get hurt?" Rias asked. Naruto blinked at that before he settled his own serious look onto his face.
"No one. It wouldn't be seclusion if there were other people." Naruto said, already knowing this was going to be annoying.
"I thought you were getting smarter lately, but this is on the level of the pawns really." Akeno said with plenty of snark in her voice.
Naruto internally groaned at the choice of words Akeno used. If she wasn't even beating around the bush slightly he knew she was serious. This was going to suck even more than he had planned for.
"Look, I have never given you a reason to doubt me. Either of you. When I say I need to do this alone that means I need to do it alone. You think I wouldn't rather be here doing what I could to get the others up to speed?" He asked putting them a bit on the defensive in the argument.
"We're just worried. Besides, we already have a plan worked out. Why try and train up another ace up your sleeve when you just said you haven't even dabbled with it before. You could hurt yourself and as long as you are off 'in seclusion' we wouldn't even know." Rias fired back. Her arms were crossed and her tone was sharp but Naruto was like stone.
"Rias, I know I haven't told either of you too much about my time before joining you, but trust me. I know battles. Better than anyone else in our group at least. That also means I know that the moment we step on that field in two weeks, any plans or strategies we make are going to get messed up. They always do." Naruto tried his best to come off pleading that they would see his point of view but not desperate. If he came off like that the two girls would go into their protective mode and think something was wrong and not let him out of their sights for the next two weeks at all.
"You can't expect us to just let you wander off and work on some dangerous spell or technique that could hurt you and not make some sort of-" Akeno began.
"You'll tell me exactly where you'll be at and if you don't come back after a full day I will come get you personally. You do not want me to have to come get you Naruto." Rias said resolutely, cutting off her queen and getting a shocked look from the other girl.
"Rias! He could get himself killed! He's only fifteen!" She hissed worried violet eyes flicking over to the younger boy.
"I'm sixteen." Naruto argued, getting an unimpressed look from Akeno for his words.
"He is technically sixteen Akeno, and well he has never given us a reason to doubt him."
"I don't doubt him. It's not that I am afraid about his ability but…" She began to argue only to feel her hand clasped in Naruto's as a much softer look settled on his face.
"Let me do this. Trust in me, so we can put all this Phenex nonsense behind us and just go back to enjoying highschool together." Naruto said causing Akeno's defenses to finally give out.
"It's not up to me anyway. Rias already agreed after all." She said before heading up stairs to shower.
The last two members of the group watched as she went and shared a sigh. They then turned back to one another and the redhead gently pulled the younger boy into her arms. He was easily as tall as she was and she could rest her head on his shoulder. Closing her eyes she simply enjoyed the moment while Naruto did the same, gently running a hand through her hair.
"Rias, I'll be safe. I promise." Naruto said quietly, getting her to sigh into his neck.
"I know. I really wish that fiery asshole could have just left us all alone. We have so much ground left to cover with the new members and I know you and Akeno are both just really opening up to one another about something. I just wish we had more time." She said as they slowly broke the embrace.
"We will. We'll kick Raiser's ass, show everyone what a bunch of badasses the Gremory Misfits really are and then we can just go back to business as usual. Except you won't have to worry about this arrangement hanging over you." He reassured.
"Right." She said, but he could hear the tiniest amounts of doubt in her tone. "Well, you best be on your way. Whatever it is you're planning I want you to really send a clone or Wulfrun to check with me once a day. Understood?" She asked.
"Understood." Naruto nodded as he moved toward the stairs.
"And whatever it is, when Wednesday rolls around, I want you back here. I want you leading the boys in their training. Akeno and I will personally oversee the girls but I want you and Kiba running things on that side." She said.
"Aw man, is this punishment for going off on my own? No wait, it's because I won't tell you what it is right?" Naruto asked but she simply slipped past him up the stairs.
"Rias? Come on." He complained only to continue being ignored.
Naruto cleaned up from the run, but as the others gathered in the dining room he headed out of the house. Heading off to the mountains near the property he wanted to make sure he wouldn't be disturbed. After all, he wasn't sure others would be safe near him during what he had planned.
Free of the pawns dragging him down, Naruto reached his destination in under an hour of easy jogging. It was a small clearing, rocks formed a natural barrier along three sides with a small creek and trees forming the last side to the area. It was a beautiful place and he felt a little guilty. Even if things went well, he feared this area would be pretty badly damaged.
"Can't be helped I guess." He said as he rolled out a bedroll and settled down to rest for the night. Well, his body would be resting. He actually had a conversation he needed to have with a certain guest.
It took a little while but slowly he drifted off to sleep. When he opened his eyes again he was in a familiar dark and oppressive tunnel. A dungeon or sewer. He knew this place well by now. He visited semi-regularly after all.
He began making his way down the long hall to his tenant's cell. Sloshing through the thick murky water that sat stagnant over the floor of the passage.
He could tell the kyuubi was annoyed by his arrival as one of the few things the tailed beast controlled here was this water. It thickened and thickened. By the time he neared his prisoner the water had become more like mud. Clinging and grasping at him. It wasn't enough to stop him but it was an annoyance making the already long hall feel even longer.
"Well to what do I owe your visit, kit?" The kyuubi asked.
Naruto scoffed at the title. Kit, a term for a fox's child. For the kyuubi though it was anything but a term of endearment. It was mocking. Reminding Naruto that he was now literally everything the people of Konoha had accused him of being. A demon fox.
"Kyuubi…" Naruto greeted, sourly.
"Oh, oh let me guess you want some kind of new jutsu from your parents or something? Even if I wanted to give it to you…" Kyuubi said, refusing to admit a growing part of him enjoyed teaching Naruto various things.
"What?" Naruto asked.
"I'm fresh out. You mastered the Rasengan, you have the handful of seals and jutsu I picked up while sealed in Mito and your mother. I have nothing else to offer." Kyuubi said with a huff.
Naruto was a bit surprised by that. More so by the honest tone the beast spoke with. It really didn't have anymore jutsu to teach him. Not all together shocking. Kyuubi hadn't ever needed ninjutsu. It had a handful of abilities and for the most part it's overwhelming power had been enough to overcome any obstacle.
Still. There was something that the fox could offer.
"I need an extra ace in the hole for this rating game." Naruto said confidently. The beast stared back at him.
"Your little master's duel to keep from marrying the fiery one. Yes I know you want an insurance plan for victory. I have nothing for you. Nothing that you should want." It growled out dangerously. They both knew Naruto's intention.
"I'm only asking to be polite. We both know the seal will let me take as I please." Naruto said causing the beast to snarl at him.
"So courteous. Fine, have a taste of my chakra but know this warning idiot. You aren't human anymore. Things react differently now that you have your own yokai energy and that devil magic as well." Kyuubi said before cutting the connection.
Naruto jolted awake at that. The beast's warning was ominous but Naruto still put it from his mind and focused on the fact that he could start working on his trump card. That could wait till morning though. There were still several hours left till the morning and he intended to get as much rest in before he started training to use kyuubi's chakra.
Naruto woke with the rising of the sun. The sooner he got a handle on the kyuubi's power the sooner he could rejoin the others and help to get the pawns ready. That would actually probably be easier than his own training. The plan for them after all was still to pretty much act as cannon fodder.
He started by cleaning his small campsite. Rolling up his bedroll, making a small breakfast on a tiny campfire he quickly built and finally doing what he could for his hygiene while literally out in the woods. Then after running through some stretches and a short jog to warm up he settled in to really start.
That was the first block he encountered. All his confidence for training with kyuubi's power only to realize that he wasn't actually certain how to draw it out. Every other time had been unintentional. He'd either been desperate or so furious he hardly recalled what happened afterward.
"Okay...so definitely connected to my emotions or maybe my desires for power?" He pondered aloud, getting a grunt of humor and derision within his mind.
'What happened to giving me a taste of your power?' He snapped mentally.
'Help yourself.' The kyuubi grumbled with humor before releasing a small burst of energy into Naruto's system.
For a brief moment Naruto felt truly empowered. His blood pumped, he could hear his heart in his own ears. Energy ran through him and he felt like he could literally do anything. Fight anything. For a brief moment.
Then the pain came. Like acid running in his veins. Hot coals dragged across his skin. His eyes felt as if they were boiling in his skull. It was maddening and felt like it had lasted for hours. It was only the briefest of moments though before the chakra dissipated and left only pain and exhaustion.
Naruto wheezed and gasped as he writhed on the ground. This was nothing like back in the elemental nations. It had hurt to use the power there but now it was incomparable.
'Now do you see?' Kyuubi's deep voice thundered into his mind.
'What the fuck did you just do?' Naruto demanded.
'Exactly what you asked me to do. I warned you. Your body is changed now. Naruto Uzumaki the jinchuuriki died the moment we came to this world. You may as well be another person entirely. You aren't even human.' Kyuubi explained.
'So?' Naruto asked.
'So? So, you are incompatible with my energy. You produce your own yokai chakra now. It's nothing compared to mine but if our energies mix it is like mixing two different blood types. Nothing but pain or perhaps death await from that.' Kyuubi explained.
"Bullshit." Naruto growled before forcing himself to his feet.
'Wait! You fool!' The fox tried realizing what Naruto had planned. His old go to. When in doubt just power through. Sadly that was not the best answer for this situation.
Naruto howled in pain as he found the Kyuubi chakra sealed away inside himself and began dragging it out. It became hard to breathe and his scream of agony stopped short as he ran out of breath. Still more pain came and he collapsed and writhed on the ground again. The flesh of his hands peeled and cracked from the energy before quickly healing back once more.
"Whatever you're doing fox stop it. Stop making it...poisoned like that." Naruto grunted out loud as he slowly regained his feet.
'You aren't listening at all. I'm not doing anything. Our energies can't mix anymore without it having severe repercussions.' Kyuubi tried to explain again.
"Fine then." Naruto growled, certain that the fox was lying now. He could recall the power from using its energy in the past. He just had to find that same feeling again.
Kurama raged at cage as he watched his stupid host drive his body through the pain from the mixed chakra again and again. There was nothing he could do though. The seal allowed for Naruto to rip the chakra from him without proper limits. If their energy was more compatible it would be a good thing. Naruto would be Better able to control the power as he was now a kyuubi demon himself. But Naruto and Kurama were oil and water.
Wulfrun
Wulfrun adored her master. Naruto was a kind, considerate and loving person. He acted more like her elder brother than her master most of the time. He even let her chase around and sometimes even 'accidentally' bit the three lazy boys from his Peerage.
Despite her love for him though, sometimes she couldn't help but feel fury at his choices. Especially when he was hurting himself. She knew he was doing it for his friends but it still made her upset.
What upset her more was him making her help him hurt himself. Or at least help him hide it from Rias. She was bound to his demands though. She couldn't refuse if she tried. Not as long as his demands didn't harm her in any way.
"Oh, hello Wulfrun. It's good to see you. I guess Naruto is still deep in training?" Rias sounded a little disappointed.
The dark skinned girl couldn't truly speak so she only nodded at Rias. A part of her hoped she would see through her lie but she was sadly disappointed. Rias was preoccupied organizing the newer members of her group in various battle drills.
"Tell him that I still expect him back when he said he'd be. Whether he is done or not." Rias said as she dismissed the Barghest familiar.
Wulfrun could only nod and transform into her dog form to double time it back to her master's side. In her beastly form it took no time at all for her to get back to him.
The sight that greeted her sickened the familiar to her core. Her master lay sprawled and twitching on the ground. His skin was an angry inhuman red and both his devil and kitsune features were open and clear to see. Still he was forcing himself to his feet so Wulfrun did as any loyal familiar or dog would when seeing their master in need and raced to his side to help as much as she could.
"Thanks. You always are a great help." Naruto grunted out painfully as he ran a hand over her head. The small nip at his finger he got had him yelped faintly but he was too exhausted to really pull away.
"I know, I know. You hate seeing me like this but I am making progress I think." He said getting the Barghest to transform into her humanoid form and give him a glare as a response.
"Okay, so I'm not. I can't just stop trying." He said before stepping away from her and trying to draw on the kyuubi's power again, causing him to drop to a knee as the pain washed over him.
Wulfrun could only watch as her master continued to put himself through pain foolishly.
Naruto
By the third and final day that Rias had given him to work on this, Naruto's resolve was in tatters. The sun was setting on his final day and he knew Rias would be furious with him if he returned in such a state. The fact that he had kept pushing beyond the point of his regeneration keeping up was bad enough. The fact that it had been three days with no results to show for it made it feel so much worse.
Finally he decided to try a different method and talk to the kyuubi. Upon entering the mindscape he was shocked by the sight before him. The kyuubi was changed.
Gone was the titanic tailed beast and in its place was a tall lean man with crimson hair and pale skin. His eyes glowed the same scarlet and black outlines along the edges of his face made him look as if he wore some sort of war paint. Behind him nine tails swayed confirming his identity.
Along with that however was the striking similarities he shared with Naruto. Not in features or traits but in damage. Like Naruto his skin was red and burnt. Blood and cracked skin along the multiple wounds littered his form.
"What the hell?" Naruto asked.
"Little shit! I've been trying to tell you but you refused to listen. I haven't been doing anything. This world has changed us both. I am as much a Kyuubi as you are and vice versa. The mixing of our energies affects me just as it does you. Except I don't have a choice in the matter!" He roared, resuming his fox like form and bashed against the bars.
"This doesn't make any sense, you're just a being of chakra, you shouldn't be-" Naruto began.
"I thought you got smarter since coming here. All you've managed is to become more arrogant!" Kyuubi hollered.
"Well you didn't say shit about you becoming a yokai like me!" Naruto shouted.
"I haven't even told you my name and you think I would just share weaknesses with you like that? You're lucky I taught you what I did and didn't just look for a way to break free of this vile little prison while I had the chance." Kyuubi continued to thrash against the gate.
"Weakness? You think being-no wait back up. Name? You have a name. Of course you have a name. I just thought…" Naruto rambled, inadvertently calming Kurama down as well.
"That I was little more than a sentient natural disaster. A demon sent to wreak havoc on mortal souls. Something to that nature?" He asked the boy.
"Well, yeah. That's what they teach in the academy." Naruto said.
"You have been a devil and kitsune yokai for over three years. When is it you plan to stop thinking like a measly human? You have met Lucifer himself. He has a name. Why wouldn't I have a name?"
"Okay so that's fair." Naruto said with a heavy sigh as he dropped to the floor to sit.
"Fair, he says. You really are insufferable the vast majority of the time." The tailed beast snarled.
The pair sat in silence for a time simply staring between one another. The only interruption was when Kurama shifted back into his humanoid form. Over the past three years he had discovered that he was far more comfortable in this new form. Even if it disgusted him to share so many similarities to humans. They continued to sit in silence after that.
Until Naruto's limited patience ran out. Admittedly it was greater than it used to be but he was still a teenage boy after all and a hyperactive one.
"I have so many damn questions now." Naruto said as he once again looked at the more humanoid yokai form of his prisoner.
"You have questions? How do you think I feel, runt? It should be impossible for me to become...physical like I have. It doesn't matter really in the end. We are here one way or another. A new body, but I am still sealed inside of a child. Only now, everytime you try to steal my power you hurt us both." He snapped at the end.
"Sorry, sorry. Really I had no idea. I mean how was I supposed to suspect this? You and I have actually been talking occasionally for the last few years and never once did you hint at this." Naruto replied somewhat sheepishly.
"I'm not angry that you tried to mix our power, if it's for a brief time and the most dire of circumstances it's not a bad idea. If you would stop being so narrow minded and listen from time to time though I was trying to explain the situation to you during the first day of your…'training'." Kyuubi said.
"Right. Well now what? We just save this for some do or die scenario? I was really hoping for some crazy power boost as a final ace up my sleeve. The Phenex family's regeneration is not really something we have an immediate counter to. We'll steamroll his peerage but in the end Raiser might be able to outlast us. That's all he would need to do." Naruto said.
"Why are you talking with me about this? Do you suddenly think I'm your little friend? It seems you need a reality check." Kyuubi said before bouncing a fist off the bars beside his head.
"We're about as good of friends as a warden and a death row inmate." He snarled.
"We don't have to be though. We're in a new world right? You even have a new body and we're both Kitsune Yokai. Just like I'm not Konoha's Jinchuuriki, you're not….well you never told me your name. But you're not him. You're…..seriously a name would be nice. Kyuubi feels weird when I am a kyuubi too." Naruto said.
Kurama stared at the boy blandly. However, his expression was less for the teen before him and more for the debate occurring within his own head at the moment. He really must have lost something of himself when coming to this new realm. Especially if he was about to do this.
"My name is Kurama. I suppose we could have a fresh start, if you make a deal with me. I mean you are a devil now. So we could make a binding contract right?" Kurama said, his face splitting into a grin as he felt his mind begin turning to an idea.
"Uh, well yeah. Depends on the deal though. I can just refuse the contract after all." Naruto said catching on to what he guessed Kurama wanted.
"Excellent. I propose a simple deal. Trust me this will be fair on all accounts. I want my freedom, and in exchange, I'll agree to a term of three...favors? Or perhaps better termed demands on your part. As well as a guarantee I won't come after you or any of your loved ones in revenge." Kurama suggested.
Naruto wasn't surprised by the offer. Not really, though the bit about the three favors caught him a bit off guard. Still it was more or less what he expected from his tenant.
"Even if I agree it might take some time to find a way to free you. With this rating game I-" Naruto began only to stop when Kurama waved him off.
"I have no interest in that. Finish up this then talk to the red devil girl. Tell her about me and the situation we are in. I'm sure she or one of the maou will have a way. Hopefully." Kurama said before glancing at the dank walls of his cell. At least it was still better than the previous two prisons he'd been held in.
"Fine. Then we have a contract." Naruto said as he reached between the bars with his hand.
As Kurama grinned and clasped his hand with Naruto's, the pair shook and with a blink Naruto was back in the clearing. His body was healed once more and he just needed to wash and change.

She stared back at him for a little bit before her eyes hardened.
"We have to talk after the rating game too." She said before spinning around.
Naruto stepped up to his door to watch her go and was a bit saddened thinking that the girl was upset with him until he caught a scent in the air. Taking it in he paused before smirking himself.
Koneko wasn't so much of a kitten anymore it seemed.
The next morning Naruto was surprised by the determined and excited Rias that greeted him in the kitchen. She was practically bouncing with energy and he was happy to see she was mostly back to normal.
The redhead was chomping at the bit to get back to training. She all but drug the girls off for her planned methods for the day and Naruto decided he had best pull out all the stops as well to make sure they can out on top. It also helped to push the conversation he had with Kurama that morning from his mind.
"Alright boys today we start the hard stuff." Naruto crowed as he began leading them outside.
"The hard stuff?" Motohama asked, now wondering what they had been doing for the last few days.
"Oh you bet. Rias insisted I give you all two days to recover before we have the rating game so that means you can all look forward to five full twenty-two hour days of what I like to call, fine tuning!" Naruto called over his shoulder with a cheer causing the perverts to whimper and Kiba to begin looking around for an exit.
He didn't get a chance to break for it as Naruto clamped a hand onto his shoulder
"Cheer up! I'm gunna make you boys strong!" He said with mad laughter before several clones appeared surrounding the group.
In the next moment a very one sided beatdown began with the real Naruto toying with Kiba while his clones made the lives of the pawns a living hell.
They were going to be as close to ready to beat Raiser as he could make them.
