AN: Thanks Goku275, Wadeparker, fartmaster1002, and MDM11. fartmaster1002 and MDM11, probably not.
"Exploding Spiral!" bellowed Bloodman (Historia), using Jackal's Bomb Curse.
A spiraling blast erupted upward from the ground beneath the Strauss siblings. The three of them jumped out of the way before it could hit, with Elfman switching to Beast Soul: Weretiger for the speed to dodge.
The male Fairy then rushed Bloodman, punching the Spriggan in the face. As the Historia stumbled back from the hit, Lisanna (still using Animal Soul: Rabbit) followed up with a kick to Bloodman's chest. Mirajane then delivered the final blow, blasting the Spriggan with a stream of Darkness Magic.
The Historia suffered modest damage from the combo. However, rather than irritated, he felt amused by the Fairies' actions.
"This is an order… stand still," spoke Bloodman, activating Seilah's Macro. Elfman and Lisanna stiffened, the Curse taking control of their bodies. "How does it feel? Did you actually believe for a moment that you had a chance of winning?"
The Spriggan didn't normally rely on Macro. The Curse became less effective when it was used on many people at once, and it dulled his battle sense to depend on Macro. Plus, killing people with a physically destructive Curse was generally simpler and more energy-efficient. However, the Historia was currently in a sadistic mood.
"This is an order," Bloodman declared to Elfman and Lisanna. He pointed at Mirajane. "Kill your sister!"
The two of them turned toward their older sister. But, before they could take a step toward the S-Class Mage, something happened that made Bloodman and his control over the Fairies falter.
"You know, if you were the original then I wouldn't be able to do this," stated Mirajane as she attempted to Take Over the Spriggan.
"I will not be absorbed!" yelled Bloodman, rebuffing the Fairy's magic. Feeling better, he smirked as he reasserted control over the other two Strauss siblings. "You're not strong enough to consume me."
"Then it's a good thing I wasn't trying to," replied Mirajane cheerfully. "You see, since Historia like you are records of the past, I thought that I might be able to use Satan Soul to read that information. And, as it turns out, I was right."
A living being was normally too complex for Take Over magic to merely copy, hence the need to dominate and absorb it. But Bloodman's information was already organized into a neat little file within an Ethernano shell. Consequently, the Fairy was able to copy the information without having to absorb the Spriggan.
"Satan Soul: Bloodman," said Mirajane, transforming into her newest Take Over. Red and black patterns trailed across the Fairy's body, her facial features and teeth grew sharp, and the Spriggan's clothes manifested in her size. Mirajane then activated Macro. "Lisanna, Elfman… let's teach this Spriggan a lesson!"
"Ahya hya hya," laughed Wall as he created and fired a dozen missiles with his magic. "Explode into a million pieces!"
"Wood-Make: The Distance Between the Two is Forever!" went Laki. Giant wooden arms and legs sprouted from the ground, slamming into the missiles and making them explode before they were close enough for the Fairies to get caught in the blast.
As soon as the projectiles detonated, Nab charged at Wall and threw punches enhanced with the soul of a bear. Meanwhile Vijeeter used Dancer to manipulate the Spriggan's movements and cause every strike to become a direct hit. Between the two of them, the Historia started to accumulate damage.
"Yaaawn," taunted Wall. The Spriggan created several 9 mm bullets, which then shot at Vijeeter. As the Fairy stopped dancing to dodge, Wall regained control of his body. The Historia created an electrified whip, wrapping it around Nab's arm as he casually avoided one of the man's punches. "All that bluster and you barely even scratch me. So boring."
"We aren't done yet!" declared Kinana. Using her Poison Aroma, she surrounded the Spriggan with a cloud of poisonous gas that obscured his vision.
"Oui!" agreed Reedus, finishing his latest drawing — a number of bladed weapons. "Sword Paint!"
The drawings came to life, shooting at Wall. Thanks to Kinana's magic, the Historia's was unable to avoid all of the blades getting clipped by several.
"How about now?" snarked Wall. The Spriggan then created an electric fan, which blow away the toxic gas and allowed him to see the large, wooden spiked ball shooting at him.
"Wood-Make: Violent Approach!"
"…fuck."
The massive projectile smashed into the Historia, forming sizable dents in his metal body as it knocked him off of his feet. When Wall got back up, a pissed expression was on his face.
"That's it!" yelled the Spriggan. "Assault Mode: Activate!"
Wall's body transformed, taking on the same appearance as when he fought Laxus (minus the personality change, which had proven detrimental last time).
"Prepare to die!" roared the Historia, raising his right hand toward the Fairies and powering up the weapon located in his palm. "It might be small, but it's got enough power to blow them all to kingdom come!"
"Necromancer!" bellowed Bloodman, reanimating dead bodies around the Strauss siblings.
"Inferno," uttered Mirajane (Satan Soul: Bloodman), activating the Calamity Curse. Flames erupted around her and her siblings, reducing the corpses to ash. The fire then started to make its way toward the Spriggan.
"Tenchi Kaimei!" shouted the Historia, releasing a flood of poisonous black water that extinguished the blaze. But, before Tenchi Kaimei could reach the Fairies, it froze completely. Bloodman clicked his teeth. "Ice Devil Slayer Magic."
Elfman (Beast Soul: Weretiger) and Lisanna (Animal Soul: Cat) raced across the ice toward the Spriggan. Bloodman activated his Thorn Curse, producing thorny vines to bind the Fairies.
Yet again, Mirajane countered the Historia's Curse with one of her own. Using Tenga Goken, she produced cutting waves that slashed apart the vines.
"Take this!" yelled Elfman as he and Lisanna both punched Bloodman. The frozen water vanished as they hit the Spriggan, causing him to fall and land on solid ground.
"Just give up!" asserted Lisanna. "Mirajane can match anything you try with your Curses. With Elfman and I here to tip the scales in her favor, you can't win!"
"Raaaaah!" screamed the Historia. Unwilling to accept defeat, Bloodman used his last resort. "If I can't win, then neither will you! Diiiiie!"
Using the Bomb Curse, the Spriggan began to self-destruct. Recognizing what was about to happen, Lisanna, Elfman, and every other nearby person retreated in a desperate (but futile) attempt to get out of the blast radius.
Everyone except for Mirajane, who approached Bloodman and put her hand on his chest.
"I don't think so," said the Fairy. She activated her Satan Soul and the soul-absorbing Curse that once belonged to Franmalth of Tartaros in unison. The Spriggan's building suicide explosion petered out as his very being was consumed by Mirajane.
As everybody stopped fleeing, the Alvarez soldiers looked on in terror at the women with the appearance of a demon — now the sole master of many terrifying Curses. She gave them a smile and spoke.
"It looks like my younger siblings and I won that fight. Now, who's next?"
The Alvarez soldiers started running away again.
The moment that Wall's palm-weapon finished charging, it shot a large ball of light capable of vaporizing steel…
"Damnit!" cursed the Spriggan, doing the sprinkler due to Vijeeter's magic.
…into the sky, where it detonated and produced a massive explosion that didn't harm a single person.
"You know, I think I've finally realized your blemish," observed Laki. Wall and the other Fairies looked at her oddly, prompting Kinana to explain her friend's unusual word choice.
"Laki means that she's figured out your weakness."
"Ahya hya hya!" laughed the Historia. "I already know about my weakness to electrical attacks thanks to my magic, which my Voltex Charge covers. And I ain't got any other vulnerabilities!"
"Wrong!" objected Laki, pointing a finger at the Spriggan. "There's still your greatest flaw. The weakness that will bring about your demise!"
Wall scowled. The Fairy's claim was an insult to his pride, one he couldn't let stand. The Historia put both his arms and legs on the ground, modifying them into an immovable base for the railgun he then created on his back.
"Oh?" went the Spriggan as the railgun powered up. "And what is that?"
"You only look at our weaknesses, never our strengths," answered Laki confidently. "Like when you forgot that Vijeeter's Dancer could be used to redirect your weapon. Or how you keep forgetting about the power of numbers, even now!"
As if it was a signal, Nab and Reedus attacked the immobile Historia from both sides when Laki said 'now.' Wall's eyes widened, having been so focused on Laki that he didn't notice them surround him. Worse, by reinforcing his limbs into stationary legs for the railgun, he had greatly reduced the amount of armor protecting his body.
"Bear the Knuckle!" roared Nab, tearing into the Spriggan's body with a punch enhanced by a bear's spirit.
"Fire!" shouted Reedus, commanding the cannon he had drawn to blast the Historia with a cannonball.
Wall's defenseless torso was ravaged by the attacks. The power in the railgun on his back faded, the Spriggan's body having taken too much damage to continue functioning. Once the life faded from him, the Historia dissolved into Ethernano.
"Lady Irene," said Neinhart as he nervously approached the female Spriggan. With the destruction of his Historias, there was no longer a need to remain close to the battlefield.
"Neinhart, can it wait?" asked Irene dismissively, not even sparing him a glance as she focused on extracting Fairy Heart from the incapacitated Mavis. "As you can see, I'm occupied at the moment."
"We've found Erza."
Irene frowned.
"As I suspected," she said, recalling when she saw the red-haired Fairy by chance. "So she is alive."
"What are your orders?" requested Neinhart. "Erza is our enemy now, but she's also—"
"Kill her."
"—Huh?" went the male Spriggan. He hadn't expected such a ruthless reply, much less for it to be delivered so casually.
"Must I repeat myself?"
"No, but…" began Neinhart, his fear rising as Irene's irritation did the same. "My Historias have all been destroyed, and I don't have enough Magic Power left to create one capable of defeating her. Not to mention how my weaker Historias seem unable to attack her at all…"
"Then I suppose you will have to fight her yourself," stated Irene, finally looking away from Mavis to apply a Berserker Enchantment to her fellow Spriggan. "What are you truly made of, Neinhart?"
"But, I…" he began, attempting to tell Irene that he wasn't strong enough and would definitely lose to Erza. However, the female Spriggan's words were an order, not a request. The Berserker Enchantment swallowed up his mind, suppressing his doubts and compelling him to obey Irene.
As Neinhart left to carry out her command, Irene's thoughts turned toward Zeref. The one man with the power to defeat Acnologia. Except, she wondered if he was still able to kill the Black Dragon.
Prior to Neinhart's arrival, Zeref had hovered over Irene's shoulder for a bit as she extracted Fairy Tail. He had expressed unhappiness over his former lover's suffering, not to mention his behavior toward Larcade.
Irene knew better than anyone the weakness that one's child could bring out. If Zeref didn't erase that softheartedness, he would certainly fall to Acnologia. Assuming that it didn't cause him to hesitate against Fiore and be defeated before ever facing the Black Dragon.
Omake
Erik was thrashing Alvarez soldiers when a distinct noise caught his attention. Kinana and several other Fairies were cheering, having defeated one of the Spriggan 12 Historias.
"Heh, attagirl," said the dragon slayer, smirking as he looked in the direction of his girlfriend.
"Hey, could you give me some help instead of staring off into space?" exclaimed Kageyama. The newer guild member was being overwhelmed by a particularly aggressive group of enemy soldiers who were attacking without giving him a moment to catch his breath.
"Nah, I think you've got it handled," replied Erik jeeringly.
"What!?"
"I mean, I wasn't ready when a certain Shadow Mage threw me into the middle of a battlefield yesterday just as I was recovering from my motion sickness," explained Erik. "But I was able to manage."
"Are you serious!?"
"Payback's a bitch," thought the dragon slayer. He spent a few more seconds enjoying his guildmate's plight, then attacked the soldiers that were targeting Kageyama.
AN: I wanted to give Mirajane something, given that she missed out on the Take Overs for Seilah and Alegria. Plus, it is kind of weird that she had no interactions with Larcade or Bloodman in canon, especially given that they were all on the northern battlefield.
Five Spriggans remain: Neinhart, Invel, Brandish, DiMaria, Irene.
That is all. Goodbye!
