Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Fox and the Wolf. Enjoy the 3000-word chapter. I don't own Seton Academy, Bungo, Cygames and a few others do.
Nova sighed as he glanced at his parents. There was so much he could not hope to do, so much that he couldn't hope to compete with. The large table in front of him only made him feel more isolated than he had been before. They had tried to throw him under the bus before and yet he hadn't considered the idea they didn't at all seem to care for it.
Still? He did not falter from his goals. This would end sooner or later. This wouldn't end any time soon. He'd find answers some sort of way, but not this. He'd honestly find it odd when it came down to it.
This had to end as of the second. He was going to be hopeful as of the second. They didn't find any answers, not yet. It didn't mean he simply surrendered and gave up.
He felt movement near him. This would be odd if it wasn't already. He'd find something about this to talk about when it came down to it.
He was honestly going to be hopeful when this day ended. He sighed to himself before he tilted as he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth before crossing his arms across his chest.
He was honestly curious as of the second. He was tilting his head before he glanced at the rest of the room. He was going to be interested at the time. He was honestly curious at the moment about what to do as of the second.
He was going to be a lot more as of the second. He snapped his fingers together while he glanced around the room. He was honestly curious when it came down to it.
He crossed his arms as he looked around before he tilted his head as of the time. he had been as of the time while came down to it. There was a lot more on his mind before this came down to it. he had been interested.
There was more on the time. He cracked his fingers before he hummed before he seemed to ponder what the hell had been going on. This had all been so interesting when it came down to it... there was a lot more on the time before he hummed to his second before, he glanced before he tilted.
Still? There was a lot more on his mind than this, this had been a lot harder to swallow as of the second. It had been a lot harder for him to honestly question what to do next. This had been a lot harder to glimpse around as he sighed to himself before he hummed, questioning life.
He slowly started to sit up and look around the room before he sighed to himself. he had been so far interested in what was to happen next. There was a lot more on his mind than he had assumed to have happened.
He sighed to himself before he glanced before he tilted his head. It had been a lot more to fathom at the time and he had been interested in what was to come before this ended as of the time. Ferryl also seemed to be finding this as odd as he had been finding it.
He rubbed his eyes as his parents seemed to continue speaking on this topic. He had only become far more interested in what their future was to hold. It had been something that involved both of them after all. This wasn't going to end well for either of them at the time before he blinked to himself.
There was something else on his mind that couldn't be understated either. They had no supplies, no ideals, or identities on this plan. There was a lot more on the problem.
Yet they couldn't say anything about this. Their views on this didn't matter in their parent's eyes. The problem had been a lot harder when it came down to it.
"What is going to happen next, mother?" Nova questioned before he tilted his head before he sighed to himself and he glanced at himself. "We're still waiting to see what to do next as of this deal," Nova stated before he hummed.
He rubbed at his snout before he smiled to himself. This was going to be a long day and he knew it. There were going to be harder choices each second if he was honest, but that was part of being in the clan one way or another as of now. It didn't hurt now, but it wouldn't at all question what to do next.
He felt a rather large foot tap him, a barefoot which belonged to another demi-human. He questioned what Ferryl wanted to do next before now. He had been a lot happier to see this before he hummed to question when it came down to it.
He glanced over at the woman who seemed rather curious as to what his intentions were. There was a look of interest written across her muzzle as she seemed to question what to say or do next, too engrossed in her book.
Still? if they had been questioning what to do next before now the time. it had to end before long. They had been a lot more on the line when it came down to their ideals. This was going to end sooner or later and both would rather it end sooner rather than later as of the moment, anything else would be hard to manage and harder to overcome. It'd be a lot harder to deal with if not for the fact that it would be next to impossible to deal with before long. Anything else would shatter into pieces, it'd be a lot harder to fathom for them.
Then again? Every single little thing seemed to be impossible to fathom for them. It cut them apart slowly as if it was a knife as if it didn't give them a minute to pause and collect themselves.
If that was the way that this had to be done? So be it. that was the way the ball would be bounced, how the cards would be played. They couldn't decide what it was, but they could decide how this all ended.
Anything else seemed to fade away with time anyway. It'd be something else if not for the fact that this was beyond what they wanted it to be. Beyond what little they seemed to know.
She hummed and paused to herself, curious as to what the hell was going on. Her parents were never this silent at the time. They never once let their prey know what was going on, but they also relished in the defeat and conquest. A trait they had tried to give her.
She brushed off her clothes and seemed to question what they wanted. If they wanted this so badly? Then they could have it. She wanted no part of it either way. It'd simply be another thing they seemed to owe her with enough time and effort. They had often seemed to grace her with their presence and he wasn't exactly disappointed by the fact that there was little more to this than fairytales. Wasn't like he could blame himself for that as of now.
"We know your plotting something, dear. You're not very good at hiding what you wish this to be." Her mother said while she raised an eyebrow at them. "We know why you're. so sad. Nothing will happen to her. We will ensure that. This plan was laid out well before you'd have gotten to this stage." Her mother put in.
She simply brushed off her shirt and stared her mother in the eyes. This would all end today. It'd need to at any blasted rate.
Nova felt a foot brush him as he turned to look at her. It made him raise an eyebrow at the woman as she turned towards him with a raised eyebrow of her own. She tapped his foot at the table, making him turn to look at her with a sigh as he did so. It had been a lot more interesting when it came down to it and there was a lot more to this game was done and dusted. She had wanted more and hadn't yet gotten it. A far cry from what little attempt at modesty and authority she had.
It had been angering to see her ideas had been ignored for now at the end of the day. It just became worse and worse the more she considered it as she knew they'd keep changing their ideas and it would keep being muddled with mistakes that wouldn't change.
The cycle wouldn't break anytime soon sadly and she knew that more than he. The only problem was just how much she'd need to throw away for this to come down to it as of now and it would be the most amusing and horrid thing she had done for a longer and longer time. it was just going to be a while before all was decided before now. It had been decided a long time again.
She had been in this spot before and had done no better than to attempt to police her men from stopping slightly bothering some people. The idea that she had been here before and it had done little to bother her had spoken a lot more to her about anything. It had been something at the end of the day and he knew it.
He also knew more than anything just how odd and off-kilter this had been before now. It had thrown him for a larger loop than he had before. It honestly boggled his mind for now. the idea had been playful yet an attempt to also assert her authority and dominance when it came down to it.
Nova decided he'd play her little game if she was so set on it. The idea had been planted in his head and hadn't yet come out as easily as it had seemed to. He still rolled his eyes at the gesture all the same.
He gently responded with a tap of his own, making her turn towards him as she lightly blushed at his audacity to challenge her. She raised her clawed foot and brought it down on his as he turned, a satisfied smirk on her face as she did so. She hummed as he tapped back at her.
"What are you doing?" Nova asked, his voice a whisper as he did so he was greeted by another tap from her a second later.
"Trying to get your attention," Ferryl stated with a raised eyebrow. "This seems to be effective. Their goals and ours seem almost entirely related." Ferryl added with a whisper he raised an eyebrow.
"Only because it caught me off guard," Nova whispered as he hummed at her with a sigh as he did so. "Secondly? How, we both know what they're doing. They want us in a corner so we can't bother them with this. It's been that way for longer than we've known each other and you know that." Nova added while he ran a hand over his temples.
There was another tap, a larger one this time which made him turn towards her. Their informal game of tapping went unnoticed compared to their words when all was said and done. Still? both seemed to get the meaning as their game continued. Both were savvy enough at morse code to understand what was being said.
Still? it had been odd enough at the moment, much stranger than either was used to for now and they knew it.
She tapped at him again with her foot several times. He turned and raised another eyebrow before another tap followed. He nodded with a confused expression written across his face for now. it had been something odd and weird for them and both knew it. He poked at her back as he nodded towards his phone.
Ferryl sighed and retracted her foot. She had been rather hoping they could do this without resorting to a method that might have gotten them noticed. If they were caught, she at least had the excuse of this.
No, she had set the terms, she had known this and what it entailed and SHE would be the one with even a small modicum of control as of now. It was to be on her part of this when it can be said and done and she would need to show him they had to be on her terms and strategy. Whatever before she was all for the second. It was oddly to end as of now. This was to be a soldier that that this when this wall to be done too before now.
Whatever came next? She'd strike them a thousand times if this was all to be done and dusted. This was to be a lot more to come down to it. She will set the table. This had before now was to end. He had more to handle when all of the seconds that they had been fighting.
Still? if she was to do this? She had to set her terms and that meant dealing with whatever else he tried to throw at her… Yes, a fine little addition to her collection. Nova was as much her mate as she was to be his. She'd set her damn terms at the end of the day and make sure he followed to the best of her ability when it was all decided. It oddly couldn't be decided here and now yet? It was to be the only important thing that had been decided for them and she knew it, just like how she wanted nothing more than the best part of all of this, it'd be something odd for now, but it wouldn't all be for nothing.
She had more to question, more to handle and it would be the end of her little trip down the road. She reached out a hand and lowered his phone to the side. He glanced at her and she simply glowered to which Nova sighed.
He abandoned his phone and slowly set his feet back on the ground while folding his hands over his chest. It'd be something for the books and that was at least certain when all was decided.
She tapped him again as he rolled his eyes and responded, knowing enough about his canine cur who would soon be far more acquainted with him to know how her little game would go. He'd also be
"Do you even have a plan or am I to assume this will all be decided later?" Nova questioned with a kick which made her back her foot off for now.
"I will think of something," Ferryl stated before another kick caused him to glance at her. "Secondly? It is better than your idea of winging this. What did you even expect?" Ferryl asked as her foot brushed his and then she tapped his ankle.
"To see you have a plan that isn't just kicking at my foot to get me to see some secret code we made up when we were kids," Ferryl said before he sighed to himself.
Nova couldn't argue about this or such. It'd be an odd part of their friendship, but it was still part of their bond and it wasn't like he could complain… It was still odd, but it wasn't like he hated the idea of spending time with her.
And it was still beyond him. she wasn't the end of his world and he knew it. she had been placed on a leash just like he had been. It hadn't been a lot more for him to do and he knew this had been something to ponder.
It was at least more interesting than what she seemed to be trying to do. He'd give her at least some idea for now and some little things that had been there before.
He tapped her foot with his as he glanced at the smirking girl. He had no idea why she found this game so amusing. It wasn't exactly as they had played as kids. Still? if that was how she wished to communicate? Why not play her little game? It wasn't at all close to how they had played it as children and both knew it. for now. It was an odd little thing.
"You never think things through at all." Ferryl hissed to which he rolled his eyes at her.
"And you do? How many games had we gone through because of the fact you need to make it all about you? Your pride always sabotages whatever you do because you can't just admit you've failed or lost." Nova added before he sighed and looked around before he oddly seemed to question before now.
It had been oddly weirded out as of now. it had been so weird for them, yet it had been a lot more to say and do before now.
She was to be an interesting woman when all of this was said and done at this moment. What came next would be done and dusted as of now. Their bond had been something special when this was done and dusted before now. It was always to be like this it seemed, no matter what else when it was all over with for now and such.
Yes, a silly little thing.
