Be positive be proud

Taking place only one week after the incident at the 4*TOWN town concert. Miriam starts noticing extreme thirst and low appetite. She thinks she's fine until she passes out in the middle of math class and wakes up in the hospital and hears the news that'll change her life forever.

2. Mei

Mei's POV

Today was just like any other day greeting Miriam, Priya, And Abby at the door. We all did our handshakes. The only thing that seemed off is that the way Miriam was acting she brought four water bottles to school? She had no food in her lunchbox. She looked extremely tired and out of breath. I asked her if she was OK. She just replied "yes" as quickly as she could.

When we got to math class I took another look at Miriam. She looked super dizzy and was sweating excessively. She ran quickly to go to the bathroom after chugging one water bottle. I was starting to get concerned about her. She's never acted this way. I had to check up on her again. I just had to.

When Miriam came back I asked her again "are you OK please be honest" I asked. "Yes, I told you I'm fine so please stop asking. I'm getting sick of people asking,'' she snapped. Did my best and closest friend of the group just snap at me for no reason? I've never seen Miriam this irritable before?

I kept a close eye on Miriam for the first 20 minutes of class. Mr. Kieslowski finally called on Miriam. "Can you tell me the answer". Miriam did not respond; she just stared off into space. "OK Miriam I called on you because you have not been focusing at all today" he stated. Miriam still didn't respond. "Come on Miriam" Mr. Kieslowski said. "Time to get up and move to the front of the classroom so we can focus better". "Come on, you can do it". Miriam finally got up.

I will never forget the look on her face looking at Mr.Kieslowski looking completely blank at him. I could tell Mr.Kieslowski was getting super impatient. "OK Miriam do you want me to send you to the principals don't you if you're not listening to me". He snipped. Then her eyes rolled back and she collapsed to the floor. Mr.Kieslowski ran as fast as he could to her. "OK everyone I'm gonna go get a nurse". "I'm going to get the teacher from the other room as well to keep a close eye on her". He said

I watch Mr.Kieslowski walk out of class to get the teacher and nurse. and then I take a glance at Miriam only for her to start going into a full seizure. "MR. KIESLOWSKI SHE'S HAVING A SEIZURE!" I scream in panic. I screamed so loud that the teachers in the other room came running in. Abby and Priya were in English class which happened to be next door. They came running too. I just looked at them watching in horror as Miriam continued to have a seizure.

They started to come closer to Miriam and I but they were stopped by the English teacher Mrs. Henderson. "Girls, please go back to class. This is an emergency that can only be solved by staff".She stated. Abby and Priya walked away extremely worried.

I just held and rubbed Miriam's hand as hard as I could. "It's going to be the OK Mir you're going to be OK" I said starting to cry. Mrs. Henderson told me and the rest of the math class to go to her class as well. While they waited for the nurse. I got up and obeyed her order. I just looked out at Miriam still having a seizure as I walked away.
