(I don't know when in the timeline the floor guardians were created or in which order so I'm just going to make that up feel free to correct me. Oh and I went back to the first chapter and made Kaizo sound more Pirate…ty)

A large skeleton draped in a black robe with golden edges was sitting in front of a strange mirror, everytime the skeleton moved their hands in front of the mirror it would move the image it displayed. The skeleton paused for a second and turned to the old man next to him.

"Is something the matter? Lord Momonga." The old man asked.

Momonga quickly looked away. "It's nothing."

"Would you like to rest for a bit?" The old man asked.

"As an Undead I am unaffected by statuses such as fatigue". Momonga looked back into the mirror which showed a village currently being raided by men in armour. Momonga watched one of the villagers beg for them to spare his daughter before being slaughtered.

"What would you like to do? Lord Momonga." The old man asked.

"Ignore it. I have no reason or incentive to help." Momonga said cold-heartedly.

"Very well." The old man bowed.

Momonga glanced over at the old man and looked as if he had seen a ghost. "Touchme…" Momonga said to himself as he stood up from the chair he was sitting in and turned to the old man. "Sebas. Raise Nazaricks security level to maximum. And tell Albedo to come fully armed." Momonga took a few steps away.

"Understood." Sebas bowed again.

"I'll be going ahead". Momonga turned away from Sebas. "Gate" A black portal appeared in front of Momonga and he stepped through it.

A few hours later.

A young looking dark elf with golden hair and a whip was sitting on a wall in a colosseum type arena minding their own business talking to themself. "I wonder if Lord Momonga will let me fight that fire elemental again if I ask nicely?" The dark elf started to sway their legs forward and back. "Too bad Mare's busy covering the tomb, it must be a lengthy process." Suddenly a feeling came over the dark elf and their head snapped towards the middle of the arena.

In the middle of the arena a pool of pitch black appeared on the ground and soon after a skeleton dressed like a pirate captain started to rise out of the darkness.

The dark elf jumped from the wall onto the arena and grabbed their wip from their hip. "Who are you?"

The skeleton glanced over to the dark elf before walking towards the exit to the arena that also led up to the next level.

"I don't know how you got past the 5 levels below without alerting any of them but I'm not just going to let an intruder get past me!" The dark elf used their whip to stop the skeleton.

"Intruder?" The skeleton said in a deep voice and placed both of their hands on its cutlasses. "Don't get in me way lad!" The skeleton said in an intimidating tone.

"My name is Aura Bella Fiora, the guardian of the 6th floor of Nazarick." Aura cracked their whip on the floor.

"Ye's a bit young to be a floor guardian?" The skeleton looked Aura up and down. 'If what the lad says is true then they should have a hidden strength. Sorcerer? No, possibly an archer...' The skeleton drew both their cutlasses. "If what ye say is true, then allow me to introduce meself as well". The skeleton pointed both cutlasses to the sky. "The name me creator gave me is Captain Kazio Dahl-" Kaizo swung both cutlasses down creating a burst of air. "Guardian of what should be the fifth floor of Nazarick!"

"Guardian of the fifth floor? As if I'd believe that for a second!" Aura lashed their whip at Kaizo.

Kaizo used his sword to block the whip and then jumped to the side. 'I thought that whip was just for show but… I've never fought someone with a whip before. This should be interesting!'

Aura repeatedly lashed the whip at Kaizo who fended off each hit. "I admit your fast. Maybe this new world is filled with strong fighters!" With each lash Aura's lashes got faster and struck harder.

"Ye definitely have impressive speed and reaction time." Kaizo put one of his cutlasses away and purposely took one of the hits of the whip and let it wrap around his arm. "But when it comes to strength…" Kaizo grabbed the whip with one hand. "I have the upper-hand!" Kaizo pulled on the whip as hard as he could, sending Aura into the air and then towards him.

Aura smiled as he was launched towards their opponent. "Tell me did you sneak your way past the other floor guardians or did you beat them?"

"As I said before." Kaizo reeled his arm back and made a fist. "I am one of the floor guardians of Nazarick!" Kaizo pushed his fist out as Aura got within striking range.

Aura used Kaizo's fist as a leverage to vault over him. "That again?"

"Wha-?!" Kaizo never had someone use his own body to dodge an attack.

Aura grabbed his whip as it was still wrapped around Kaizo's arm and slid in between Kaizo's legs, tripping him up and making him land on his back with one of his arms trapped beneath him.

"Why ye son of a b-!" Kaizo instinctively stopped speaking as Aura stomped his foot onto Kaizo's neck, slamming it into the floor.

"No floor guardian is as weak as you. So stop imitating us!" Aura said with a frightening look.

Kaizo grabbed Aura's foot with his free hand. "Weak? I'm just a bit rusty is all. Stroke of Curse." A black aura wrapped around Aura's leg where Kaizo was touching.

"Ow…" Aura lifted his leg off Kaizo. "A curse attack? Woah!" Aura jumped backwards to dodge the incoming blade that Kaizo swung at him.

Kaizo stood back up and drew his other cutlass again. "I'm not done with ye yet!" Kaizo ran at Aura.

"Too slo-!" Aura tried to move but found his movement slowed. "So that curse made me slower."

"Hya!" This time it was Kaizo bringing the downpour of attacks and Aura used his whip to block and used what speed he could to dodge. Until Kaizo actually managed to strike Aura with a kick and send him a few metres away.

"I'm ending this!" Kaizo swung both his arms out.

"Fine with me!" Aura readied himself for an incoming attack.

A dense dark purple haze started to radiate off Kaizo and covered the floor. "Awaken me crew! IMPRISONED-"

"Ahem!" Kaizo was cut off by somebody coughing.

Both Kaizo and Aura looked over to the person. It was an old looking man wearing a suit.

"Se-" Aura got cut off by Kaizo.

"Sebas… ye old seadog!". Kaizo stood up straight and the purple haze disappeared.

"I'm surprised that you're awake. And that you immediately picked a fight with another floor guardian." Sebas walked over to Kaizo.

"I'm just as surprised as ye are". Kaizo said.

"You two know each other?" Aura asked, confused as to how an intruder knew Sebas.

"Yes. But now that I remember it, he did go to sleep before lord Bukubukuchagama created you, so it's not surprising you don't remember". Sebas put his hand to his chin to think.

"Went to sleep? Can one of you two just tell me what's going on?" Aura asked.

"I suppose it was rather rude of me to engage in combat with a fellow floor guardian like that, me apologies young lad". Kaizo took his hat off and bowed.

"What's with the sudden attitude change?!" Aura asked.

"Floor guardian Aura. Allow me to introduce you to one of the first Floor guardians the supreme leaders created. Captain Kaizo Dahl".

"Wait, so there are 9 floor guardians?" Aura tried to understand.

"Technically yes." Sebas looked over at Kaizo again. "Lord Momonga will want to hear of your awakening."

"Just lord Momonga? What about the rest of the supreme beings?". Kaizo asked.

"I will go into more depth later but only Lord Momonga is with us today". Sebas said.

"Hold on. I still don't understand." Aura said.

"Lord Momonga will most likely introduce Captain Kaizo later and in depth to the rest of the floor guardians so it will be best to wait for him to return."

"Where is Lord Momonga? I wanted to ask him some questions." Kaizo still felt a little frustrated about his ship and crew but seeing an old face helped him feel calm and a little bit more relaxed after such a confusing awakening.

"Lord Momonga is away at the moment but I will notify him of your awakening". Sebas said.

Kaizo nodded to Sebas as thanks.

"For now follow me I'll show you to an available room you can use for the time being." Sebas started to walk away and Kaizo followed.

"Thank you Sebas." Kaizo said.

"Think nothing of it."

"And they're gone…" Aura was left standing there staring into space.

"Sebas be real with me how long have I been asleep?" Kaizo asked

"It's been 10 years since you were ordered to sleep by Lord Frapapachino."

"I see…" Kaizo felt a little disheartened about the time gap but quickly came over it.

Not long after at a village not far from Nazarick.

A man wearing a red and green cursed mask and Momonga's robe was talking with a woman covered in pitch black armour, their conversation ended when the man got a telepathic message.

"Lord Momonga, I have some news you will be interested in." Sebas's echoey voice said.

"Speak." Momonga said.

"The floor guardian Captain Kaizo Dahl has awakened".

"I see… we're nearly finished here". Momonga said.

"Very well, I will await your return". The telepathic communication ended.

Momonga looked to the sky. 'Who?'

Spell info time.

Debuff Spell: Stroke of Curse.

If the user manages to touch their opponent whilst the spell is active their opponent will have their stats lowered based on where they were touched.
