Welcome back everyone either at Fanfiction or Archive of our Own lets get right into the story.

Jaune stared into the angry green eyes of his childhood friend then turned away searching for a way out when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"You have a lot to explain mister," said Pyrrha, her voice showing she was really angry with him but he could also detect a bit of happiness on her voice.

"Hey Pyrrha." Jaune stammered clearly nervous. When she was about to speak they heard an explosion that momentarily distracted both of them but Jaune recover quickly and made a run from the Bullhead as fast as he could knowing Pyrrha´s semblance she could stop him right on his tracks.

Pyrrha just let him run, she would catch him later, if what Jaune´s mom told her was true, she needs to confront him in private and knowing that Miss Goodwitch was also informed of Jaune´s actions she would, without doubt, summon him to explain his actions, she just hope she lets him stay.

(Back with Jaune)

After running what he thought was a safe distance from Pyrrha´s semblance, he stopped. When he looked around he saw a girl just lying there in the middle of the courtyard so he approached her to help her since everyone around her just ignore her.

"Hey," Jaune said as he offered his hand to help her "Need help?" the girl looked up at him, noticing she has silver eyes.

The girl to his extended hand "Thanks" she said pulling as he helped her up.

"Are you OK?" Jaune asked her.

"Yeah," she said "My name is Ruby,"

"I'm Jaune-" he was about to say that awful pick up line his father told him to introduce himself (Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls of the tongue- ladies love it), he cringed just remembering, thankfully his mother step in and told him that girls will just laugh if he used that line.

He must have shudder very noticeably because Ruby asked "Are YOU ok?"

"Yeah," he responded "I just remember something" Ruby just kept looking at him weirdly then shrug "By the way why were you on the ground?" as he asked Ruby pouted and told him her story of how she and a girl in white exploded.

When she mentioned a girl in white with a very tsundere attitude he immediately recognize who said girl was but decided not to mention anything.

"So let me get this straight," Jaune spoke after a very winded Ruby finished telling her story "You arrive at Beacon with your sister, right?" Ruby nodded "Then after seeing her friends she run to them making you spin around?" again she nodded "You spin around and fell onto the white girl´s dust luggage making her very angry" which seems to be Weiss´ normal state, especially when he´s annoying her "and she just shakes a dust phial in front of your face not realizing it was not sealed and releasing dust particles that made you sneeze, which somehow made an explosion?".

Ruby nodded her head "And that just made her more angry at me and just left, leaving me where you found me," Yeah, Jaune thought, that's Weiss Schnee alright.

"Don´t worry Ruby," Jaune tried to calm the red caped girl "I m sure she was frustrated from the long journey here to Beacon," he knew that. despite Weiss attitude, she was a nice girl and normally friendly.

Ruby looked at him with doubt but just shrugged and kept walking. After a long awkward moment of silence Ruby spoke "Soo I got this." she the pull out a giant scythe startling him.

"Is that a scythe?" he asked impressed by the giant weapon.

"It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle!" she said proud

"Nice" was the only thing that Jaune could say

"What about you Jaune?" at this question Jaune pull out his sword

"It may not be as awesome as your weapon since its not transformable, I got this sword" he then point out at his hip "the scabbard also functions as a shield but, despite my father and my friend´s training, I could never fight right with it" seeing her raised eyebrow he continued "the technique I was more comfortable fighting is using a two handed stance."

At this Ruby nodded and then pointed at the gun holster at his hip "What about that?" she asked.

Jaune pulled out the gun and Ruby saw that it was mixture of gun and blade "This is Moon´s Wrath" he spin the gun around (thankfully it was empty) "it serves both as a back up blade and long range weapon" Ruby´s eyes were brightened as she looked at Moon´s Wrath as Jaune put it in his holster then looked around and realized he didn't know where they were "Ehh Ruby" he said pulling said girl out of her trance and looked at him "do you know where are we supposed to g?"

At this Ruby shacked her head "No, I was following you." Jaune sighed.

They were lost.

Well there you have the second chapter of The Knight and the Cat and as you can see in this universe Jaune is very familiar with Weiss and you could say friendly despite her family´s history with the Arcs (well mostly her father).

I also decided to give Jaune a gun instead of just making a different weapon entirely that was also a gun

Next chapter will be Blake helping our very lost friends and the beginning of the slow burn knightshade romance,
