Inspired by that one All Time Low song by the same name.

Backseat Serenade

It almost felt like the world was spinning.

All she wanted was some company. Someone who was willing to listen to whatever lingered in the back of her mind.

A friend.

He couldn't say no to her offer. He enjoyed her presence anyway.

The night had gone by fast but they were too lost in the moment to care. Those deep conversations were much needed. And singing their lungs out to their favorite songs playing on the radio was a plus. The next thing they knew, the atmosphere around them shifted.

She gave him a longing look that made her glow in the dim lighting.

Then, a fire suddenly began to burn in his heart.

Without any hesitation, they closed the space between them, igniting the flames even further.

The sound of their heartbeats suddenly felt louder than the music playing in the background as they clumsily stumbled into the backseat.

They shared a few laughs before she pulled him closer, her eyes now filled with more desire as their lips brushed.

He gladly returned the favor as he drowned in the sweet sensations of being so close to each other.

And there they stayed.

They knew this wouldn't last forever. But nothing mattered at that moment.

They had each other for now.
