Just Another Girl?
"Y'know, I think you and Kairi would get along well."
Roxas scoffed under his breath as he glanced up at the tall, red-haired man. They were invited to spend a day at the beach with everyone for a special occasion. Something about Riku's birthday? Roxas didn't really care about that part. He was just there for the beach and his closest friends.
But now that he thought about it, he's never really spoken to Kairi, has he? It never occurred to him until Axel brought it up out of the blue.
"I mean, I'm sure she's nice and all but…" Roxas paused and shrugged, "She's just another girl."
Axel raised a brow before giving his friend a shove. "What's that even supposed to mean, man? She's actually got quite the personality. You'll know what I mean once you hang around with her for a bit."
Another shrug.
"Yeah sure, I guess."
The blond's eyes fell on the auburn-haired girl hanging out with Riku on a small, wooden bridge by the water. He supposed they were bantering with each other. Or arguing…? Roxas noticed Kairi's tone shifted at that moment.
Which led to her shoving Riku, who suddenly lost his footing and stumbled straight into the water underneath them.
The girl peeked over the bridge with wide, apologetic eyes before letting out a snort at the sight of her friend now drenched from head to toe.
"That's what you get, birthday boy," she smirked, proudly placing her hands on her hips.
Okay, maybe they were still bantering.
But man, that was hilarious. Roxas couldn't help but stare at the girl in awe.
"Alright, I think I like her already."
