Journal

"Roxas! Give it back!"

"You gotta say the magic word first."

Kairi huffed and impatiently reached up to grab her journal in Roxas' hand, only for him to extend his arm further from her reach.

"I'm this close to kicking your ass right now," she snapped.

"Heh sorry, that's not it," he chuckled, shaking his head.

Curse that dumb smug look of his, she thought.

The girl took a step back in defeat and crossed her arms in frustration. "Fine. Can I please have my journal back?"

Roxas watched her standing there undeniably irritated by his antics. He had taken her personal journal after all. It was definitely not his place to be taking belongings such as this one… but curiosity got the best of him when he spotted his name scribbled on one of the pages.

Or maybe his eyes were playing tricks on him, but anyway.

He gave Kairi a half-smile and finally held out the journal to her.

"Only 'cause I don't wanna get my ass kicked."

The redhead quickly snatched the book from Roxas, in case he had any other ideas, and clutched it against her chest. "Thank you."

"Y'know, I think I saw my name in there," he quickly indicated, innocently rubbing his neck.

Kairi's eyes widened slightly, clutching the journal tighter as she felt her cheeks burning up.

"So? That doesn't give you the right to take my stuff, nosy."

The blond crossed his arms and smirked. "Huh, so you admit it then."

"I didn't admit anything."

"I'm pretty sure I saw some hearts in there too."

The girl scoffed, shaking her head as Roxas took a step closer to her. No doubt her cheeks were crimson now. "Now you're just making stuff up."

He took another step towards her, nearly closing the gap between them.

"Want me to prove it?"

Kairi met her gaze with his and hummed. It was at that moment when she noticed Roxas' hand sneaking towards her from the corner of her eye. The redhead smiled innocently before putting her hand on his chest to push him away.

"Nice try, Roxas."
