Barry and Iris had just gotten done watching a movie and were walking out of the theater.
"Regular movie scale, that was a seven or an eight. Zombie move scale, it was, like, a four, tops." Barry declared
"There's a zombie movie scale?" Iris asked
"Did you know that zombies exist in nature, as fungus? There's a species that infects ants, causing the ants to attack plants that can release spores which in turn infect new hosts." Barry started to explain before getting a look from Iris, "I'm going full nerd again, aren't I?" he asked
"Yep" Iris confirmed
"Yeah." Barry said in response, as they started to walk
"It's okay thought. You are still the cutest nerd that I know. Anyways I'm a lot more interested in the amazing as of late." Iris reassured him
"You mean cause of this 'Streak' thing?" Barry said wanting her to give up on it
"He's out there. People are talking about him." Iris stated
"How do you even know it's a he? Maybe it's a she." Barry said
"It's a man, okay? You know I am intuitive about this kind of stuff. Someone even posted a picture after being yanked from a car accident. It's a red blur leaving the scene." Iris tried to convince Barry before she pulled out her phone to show him something.
"Here, what do you see?" Iris asked
"I see your boyfriend's calling." Barry said blandly
"Oh, I should probably get this. I'm crashing at his place tonight, and he's suppose to leave a key for me somewhere." Iris said before answering the phone and turning around, "Hey, Babe. What's up? Not much, just hanging out with Barry. You off yet?"
Just then Barry's phone rang, he took out his phone and answered, "Hello"
"Code 237 on Waid Boulevard." Cisco said over the phone, with Naruto sitting right next to him once again working on his necklace project as well as project 'Hagoromo'
Barry gave a weird look, "Public indecency?"
"Wait, I think I meant a 239." Cisco attempted to correct himself before Caitlin walked up from behind Cisco.
"Dog leash violation?" Barry said even more confused
Caitlin was about to hit the comms button and speak up when Naruto beat her to the punch, "417V, might want to get to it Barry." he said before going back to his work but not before getting a look from Caitlin.
"I was going to do that." she said with a frown on her face
"You don't know that codes like I do, I worked for the police before and had to memorize the codes." Naruto responded
Hearing this Barry quickly looked over at Iris to see that she was still on the phone, "On it" he said before speeding off, once he arrived he saw that the driver of the car was shooting at the cops so he quickly sped up and transferred the driver that was shooting from the car that he was in into the back of the cop car before rushing back to Iris before she could turn around. The officers looked back at the car that was once shooting at them only to see no one was there confusing them before they looked behind them only to see the driver in cuffs, in the back of the car.
Just as Iris turned around Barry got back, "Eddie says Hi."
"Nice of him." Barry responded with a smile, "You wanna grab a bite? I'm feeling a little famished." he added
Iris gave him a weird look, "After the Mongolian Barbecue we had before the movie and the extra-large popcorn you had at the movie? How are you not fat?" she asked
Barry gave a shrug, "I've been jogging."
"Oh, alright." Iris said in response with a smile on her face as they continued walking
(CCPD – The Next Day)
Barry had just arrived at work as the elevator opened for him to step out. As Barry stepped of he heard one of the officers from last night.
"Where'd you cut him off?" One officer asked
"So we cut him off at eighth. I mean, the perp was in the backseat of the cruiser before he even knew what happened." Paulson replied before Joe walked up going to shake his hand.
"Congratulations, Paulson on that arrest last night. Hell of a job." Joe said before shaking the officer's hand
"You come by later, Joe. I'll give you driving lessons, Okay?" Paulson said before walking off
Joe and Barry started to walk off towards Barry's lab, "Wasn't even him last night. It was me." Barry said
"I figured" Joe replied, "I just didn't realize you were helping people for the glory."
"It's not like I want a museum built in my name. Keeping what I can do a secret from Iris and everyone, It's harder than I thought." Barry said as they walked up the stairs
"I know, but it is safer that way. Besides, me and you got work to do." Joe said before they reached to the top of the stairs and turn to continue walking
Once they were in Barry's lab Joe brought out a box and placed it on the table
"The evidence from my mom's case." Barry said
"I had it brought up from storage." Barry explained
"I've been through this box 1,000 times." Barry stated blandly
"Before, your story about what happened that night the lightning storm, the man in the middle of it, I thought that was a kid trying to protect his father from prison. But now that I know it's true, we're gonna go through every scrap of evidence until we find something that helps us." Joe explained
"It took the Jury 52 minutes to come back with a verdict of guilty." Barry stated
"They moved too fast, which is why we got to take out time." Joe said just then Eddie walked in
"Barry, Joe, we got multiple homicides. Do you know the Darbinyan Crime Family?" Eddie states
(S.T.A.R. Labs)
After Barry and Joe had visited the Crime scene they headed to S.T.A.R. Labs to get some help. Currently Team Flash was geeking out
"Fascinating, a Meta-Human that can manipulate poison gas." Dr. Wells stated excitedly
"Is it just poisonous gas, or can he control all aerated substances?" Sakura asks, 'This seems kinda like the poison gas jutsu that I was taught'
"And how is he able to formulate the connection? Is it physiological or psychological?" Caitlin continues
"This individual can create a mental nexus using gaseous substances." Dr. Wells adds on
"You mean connect with gases on a molecular level." Sakura asks
"That is ridiculously cool." Cisco states
Joe gives Barry a look, "They get really excited about this stuff." Barry states
"You get used to it after being around them for so long." Naruto said as he was typing away on his laptop that he had this Project 'OTF' open on adding some finishing touches before switching over to Project 'Hagoromo'.
"The only things that I'm excited about is putting these criminals behind bars. Except, Iron Heights isn't exactly equipped to handle these kinds of criminals." Joe stated
"Then I guess it's fortunate the ones you've encountered so far are no longer with us." Dr. Wells states
"Well, unless we're planning on executing every bad Meta-Human come across you geniuses are going to need a place to hold them." Joe says
"A Meta-Human prison. Sweet." Cisco comments
"Until we figure a way to remove their powers." Dr. Wells adds on
"There is one place here that might hold them." Cisco said hesitantly, as Caitlin turned her head towards Cisco
"You can't be serious. I mean, we haven't been down there since…It's cordoned off." Caitlin said uncomfortable with where the conversation was going before she started to have a flashback to that night
"Cisco is right. It could be modified to act as a makeshift prison." Dr. Wells says much to Caitlins dislike
This gets Barry's attention, "What could?"
Dr. Wells looks up, "The Particle Accelerator."
"I could also convert one of my Kamui Dimensions into a prison dimension, I'd just have to terraform it. In the meantime, we can use the particle accelerator as a means to hold the cells in case we need to interrogate or talk to one of them." Naruto puts out there
"Wait exactly how many of these 'Kamui' Dimensions do you have Naruto?" Everyone minus Sakura asks
"As many as I need, I can create as many pocket dimensions as I need that only I can access." Naruto responds before looking over to Barry, "That's also where I am going to set up the equipment that we are going to need to train you."
"Well then it's settled, we will modify the particle accelerator as a temporary prison for questioning or interrogation purposes while Naruto does his thing in one of his pocket dimensions for long-term containment. Let's head down there shall we" Dr. Wells said as he started to turn around only to see Caitlin frozen.
"Caitlin" Dr. Wells said bringing Caitlin back to reality, "Did you hear me? We're going down to the accelerator ring."
Barry seeing the distress that Cailin is ins decides to speak up, "Actually, Dr. Wells I could use Caitlin's help Identifying the poison gas." shocking Caitlin
"Okay" Dr. Wells says
Barry looks at Caitlin, "If that's okay with you?"
Caitlin nods, "Let's go"
"I'm coming with you; I have nothing else to do." Sakura adds on as they all leave for CCPD, and Dr. Wells, Cisco, and Naruto head down the accelerator ring.
(CCPD)
"Welcome to the CCPD." Barry introduces Caitlin as they walk into the main room with all the desks
"So this is your day job." Caitlin states getting an 'mm-hmm' from Barry
"I'm gonna rip out your hearts and eat 'em for lunch." some random criminal said as he was being escorted out by 2 police officers having to go thru the 3 of them
Caitlin got a weird look, "Delightful"
Just then another officer walked up to Barry, "Lab rat, I need prints off this gun pronto." she said before shoving the evidence into his chest.
"ALLEN!" Singh yells as he walks into the room getting everyone's attention, "Where the hell is the fiber analysis on the Orloff case?"
"Upstairs. It's all finished. I can just run up and bring it down." Barry says as he speeds off towards his lab
"With you, that could be three days from now. I'll go with you." Singh says as he turns around heading for Barry's lab before he is joined by Caitlin and Sakura getting his attention
"Mrs. Uzumaki-Namikaze, always nice to see you, how are you and Naruto doing these days? And who are you?" Singh asks Sakura before looking at Caitlin respectfully
"Naruto and I are doing just fine over at S.T.A.R. Labs. This is Doctor Caitlin Snow, she is Barry's personal physician, while I am Barry's personal doctor." Sakura replies as they head towards Barry's lab
Barry gets to his lab and starts speeding all over the place trying to get the analysis done before they get up to his lab, papers flying everywhere in the process. Just as he finishes, they arrive, Barry standing there with the fiber analysis in hand as papers flutter down the floor around him. "The Fiber Analysis for the Orloff case, like you asked for, Sir."
Singh takes a look around before taking the paper, "Clean up your lab. It's a mess" he says before walking off
(S.T.A.R. Labs – Accelerator Ring)
As they get down there and Cisco is about to hit the lock to open the door, Naruto mentally commands it to open.
"I got it Cisco" Naruto says as his eyes glow a soft blue and the blast door opens
"The copper in the tubes is arranged to form cavities, and we can use those cavities as containment cells." Dr. Wells explains as they walk thru the door and into the ring, "Of course we will have to design them to counteract Meta-Human abilities, but…it might just work."
"First, we have to decouple the Main Injection System on the Gantry Level, I'll be right back." Dr. Wells adds on as he begins to back himself out
"Why don't you let me do that." Cisco counters
"I need the exercise." Dr. Wells says with a wink before continuing on his way
"So how are we going to counteract the Meta-Human's abilities Cisco?" Naruto asks
"Well, we could always create a Barrier around the outside of the cells and power it with a super magnet so that the particles can't escape." Cisco responds
"Alright, that means that I will have to build a medium-sized fusion reactor in there as well, to keep the containment cells powered in my Kamui dimension, as well as set up a power grid, as I'm pretty sure we are going to need multiple cells. I'll go start on that now." Naruto states as he activates his Rinne Sharingan and begins to disappear in a vortex into one of his Kamui dimensions to terraform it leaving Cisco alone to have a flashback.
(CCPD – Barry's Lab)
Barry, Caitlin, and Sakura are waiting for the tissue sample to be done processing as Barry is playing with a figure model of molecules before he looks up at Caitlin.
"Can I ask you something. That you don't have to answer?" Barry asks
"My least favorite kind of question. Shoot." Caitlin responds
"Ronnie. What's he like? You just never talk about him that much." Barry asks
"We met when we were working on the particle accelerator. He was the structural engineer. He liked to joke around that he was basically a very high-priced plumber." Caitlin began to explain getting a laugh out of Sakura and Barry before she continued
"We were very different. You might have noticed I can be a bit…guarded. Ronnie knew how to make me laugh. The only other person with that ability is Naruto. Ronnie use to say we were like fire and ice. He wasn't suppose to be there that night. He was just there for me. If he hadn't…" Caitlin finished before the computer finished and the sound of the printer caught her attention as her and Sakura went to go and look at the report.
"This says that there was no residue of gas in the tissue, poisonous or otherwise." Caitlin thought out loud
"It must have evaporated. We'll need to get a fresh sample." Barry said before Sakura took the paper from Caitlin and continued reading the report
"This can't be right." Sakura said as moved to show Caitlin
"This says that there are two distinct strands of DNA inside the tissue." Sakura added
"How did someone else's DNA get inside the victim's lungs?" Caitlin asked before Barry started to run the seconds strand of DNA against the CCPD Database only to not get a match
"There's no DNA match in the Database." Barry tells them
Caitlin and Sakura looked at each other confused, "I don't understand why would a chemical attack leave behind another person's DNA inside the victim?" Caitlin asks
Just then Barry gets an epiphany, "What if the Meta-Human we're looking for doesn't control gas? What if he becomes it?"
Just then the radio in Barry's Labs speaks up, "All available units, we have a report of a toxic gas attack in the central city shopping mall." they all hear causing Barry to get up from his chair and head for the locker that has his suit in it.
"Barry, don't. We don't know enough about what we're facing yet. It's not safe." Caitlin pleads to Barry grabbing his arm causing Barry to spin around
"Caitlin, I have to go." Barry said causing her to flinch before Barry speeds off before Caitlin lets out a huff
"Men, always leaping into danger without thinking." Sakura comments before she grabs Caitlin and speeds them back to S.T.A.R. Labs
(S.T.A.R. Labs - Cortex)
Sakura and Caitlin arrive in the Cortex while Cisco is monitoring Barry's location.
"Guessing that Barry ran headfirst into a problem without thinking?" Naruto asks them, getting a basically in return
As Barry enters the mall Naruto mentally patches Cisco into the mall's security system.
"Naruto patched me into the Mall's Security system. According to witnesses, the gas attack was in the main elevator in the north wing." Cisco informs over comms
"Which one is the north wing?" Barry asks only for Dr. Wells to grab the mic
"The one with the Big Belly Burger." Dr. Wells states getting a weird look from Cisco
"I eat" Dr. Wells retaliates
"Still not as good as the Homemade Ramen Sakura-chan makes." Naruto comments while rubbing his belly before getting a kiss on the cheek from Sakura
"Thanks, Hun" Sakura says with a smile
(Central City Mall – North Wing – Main Elevator)
Barry arrives and time slows down as he checks the woman only to find that she is dead, before looking around for the Meta, he spots a small cloud of mist going thru a cracked door and angrily follows it before he stops where it is collecting only for it to solidify into a bald man.
"Why did you kill that woman?" Barry yells, causing the man to turn around
"She deserved to die. Now go run away. I still have one more name on my list. Don't make me add you to it." the man says angering Barry causing him to speed forward and throw a punch at his face only for his head to turn to mist and Barry's fist go right thru it reforming leaving a shocked Barry, using Barry's state of shock to his advantage the man decides to land a few hits on Barry, knocking him out of his state of shock, Barry gets back up and throws a swing at the man's midsection getting the same result of the man turning into mist before he moved behind Barry and hit him in his mist form and directs his mist thru Barry's nostrils and into his lungs, causing Barry to start gasping for air and drop to the ground as the mist retreats.
(S.T.A.R. Labs – Cortex)
Everyone is watching Barry's vitals as they are getting very weak, Naruto gets concerned and decides to speak up.
"Barry. Barry, are you ok?" Naruto asks over comms, waiting a few seconds with no response
Naruto then looks at everyone, "I'm going in" Naruto says as mentally activates his necklace thru the chakra metal implant that was behind his ear and everyone watched as nanobots started to seep out of the necklace and spread across Narutos already skin-tight clothes before they finished forming a suit and mask, the suit was bright yellow with black lines running all over Naruto's body, he basically looks like he had his Nine-Tails Chakra mode activated minus the cloak and the suit had a fiery effect to it due to the little bits of chakra that were seeping into the nanobots. Everyone was in awe minus Sakura
"I'll be back" Naruto said before disappearing in a flash, before reappearing with Barry in his arms
"I…. can't…. Breathe" Barry lets out
"HE NEEDS OXYGEN. CAITLIN GET THE CRASH CART!" Sakura commands Caitlin going full medic mode before Naruto brings Barry to the bed in the cortex
Caitlin quickly brought the crash cart over like Sakura commanded, while Sakura opened Barry's suit up as he continued to wheeze while his lungs begged for oxygen.
"Cut me open the poison's still in my lungs." Barry wheezed out
"He brought us a sample." Dr. Wells said before looking at Caitlin
"Caitlin, we need to do a Pulmonary Biopsy, extract an active portion of that gas." Dr. Wells instructed
Sakura looks at Barry, "Barry I'm going to use a low-class Medical Ninjutsu to numb the pain because any anesthetic we give you your metabolism will burn thru."
Caitlin looks at Cisco, "Hand me the syringe." Caitlin says before taking it
"This is going to hurt a lot." Caitlin tells Barry
"It's a small needle he probably won't even feel it." Cisco counters
"He's definitely going to feel the initial stab." Caitlin says
Sakura's hands start to glow a faint green before she places them on Barry's chest leaving Caitlin enough room to do what she needs. Caitlin stabs the needle into Barry's chest causing him to jerk upwards but comes right back down passing out from the lack of oxygen for the past minute as Caitlin extracts the gas and pulls the syringe out. Caitlin puts the syringe on the table as Sakura pulls her hands away and a few seconds later Barry starts to regain consciousness as he groans.
"The streak lives" Cisco says
"You know Barry, you'd be dead if your lung cells didn't regenerate so quickly." Caitlin and Sakura say
Barry groans again before commenting, "My chest feels like that one time I had a cigarette." getting a weird look from Caitlin
"Yeah, teen me lived for danger." Barry added on
"Barry this isn't funny you could've…" Sakura started to say
"Yea, but I didn't" Barry interrupted
Dr. Wells decided now was the appropriate time to speak up, "Now that we have a sample, we'll get to work on analyzing it, figure out the makeup of the poison, maybe get a clue as to his human identity."
"Or at least a way to stop him from turning into a mist." Cisco said before he got an epiphany, "The Mist. Okay, that's his name. End of Discussion."
"I have to get to the station." Barry says as he gets up
"You should be resting." Dr. Wells blatantly states
"I have to talk to Joe." Barry counters
(CCPD – Barry's Lab)
"Joe I had him." Barry says as he walks into his lab getting Joe's attention, "The Meta-Human. We were wrong. He's not controlling airborne toxins. He can literally transform himself into poison gas."
Joe gives him a weird look, "That's new" Joe says before getting up with a folder in his hand, "The victim was a judge. We're going through some of her old cases to see if there's a connection."
"It's too late." Barry said causing Joe to look up, "I should have been faster, and with this new training that Naruto is going to start giving me that's exactly what's going to happen."
"Focus on the job. Don't think about what could have been right now." Joe said
Barry started walking to the side of Joe, "You don't want to know what I'm thinking about."
"My dad has spent 14 years in a 6 by 8-foot cell for a crime he didn't commit. I couldn't save my mom, but I can save him." Barry explained sadly while he was leaning over a box of evidence that was on the desk
"Didn't I promise you that we would get your father out of prison together?" Joe stated, causing Barry to straighten back up and turn around to look at him
"I don't need your help, Joe. I could be in and out of there with him before anyone even sees me." Barry said irritated getting a look from Joe
Joe seeing where this is going decides to challenge Barry's thought, "Okay" as he sits down on the table, "You break him out of there. Then what? He's on the run for the rest of his life. And something tells me he's not as fast as you are."
Barry still having none of it decides to try and counter Joe, "You don't know what it's like there."
"You think I don't understand what you're feeling? I have been a cop for almost as long as you have been alive. So, you should know putting on that suit does not make everybody safe. For every person you save, there's going to be somebody you can't. And the hardest thing you're going to have to face is not some monster out there with powers. It's going to be that feeling of uselessness when you can't do anything." Joe tries to explain to Barry that he is not alone in what he is feeling, "Or the guilt that weighs on your when you make a mistake." Joe adds on before getting up from the table
"Some things, Barry, you can't fight. Some things you just have to live with." Joe finishes as he walks out of the room leaving Barry to his thoughts
(S.T.A.R. Labs – Cortex)
Barry later returned to S.T.A.R. Labs after being alone with his thoughts, he walked into the cortex only to see everyone gathered around a screen showing a 3D model of something.
"Welcome back Barry" Naruto says without looking
"We have identified the toxin." Sakura stated
Barry looks closer at the screen, "That's Hydrogen Cyanide"
"What's interesting is what's mixed in with the Cyanide…A Sedative." Sakura said
Barry raises his hand to his head realizing something, "Of course. The night of the explosion, find out if anyone was executed." as Caitlin walks over to the main computer to search
Naruto already mentally on it pulls up the list of inmates that were executed that night
"Why" Dr. Wells asks
"That sedative is given to criminals on death row before they go to the gas chamber and breathe in Hydrogen Cyanide." Barry explains getting a 'That's right' from Dr. Wells
"There was someone executed. Kyle Nimbus, information is up on the screen now." Naruto states as his eyes glow an electric blue and the information pops up onto the screen before Caitlin shortly walks back over to join them
"That's him" Barry confirms
"He was a hitman for the Darbinyan crime family. They turned on him and testified. Judge Theresa Howard was the judge at his trail. She sentenced him to death." Naruto explains
"He must have been affected by the explosion while he was being gassed." Dr. Wells stated
"Records indicated the execution was completed." Cisco said
"That's why there wasn't a match. The DNA Database only has records of the living." Barry realizes getting a 'Right' from Dr. Wells
"He said there was one more person on his list. Check the arrest record. Who caught him? That could be his next attack." Barry said
Naruto mentally checked the records and stood up straight as he mentally activated his suit. Everyone saw this and got worried, the whole suit minus the mask had finished forming before Naruto looked at Barry.
"Barry, Suit up, the lead detective was Joe. I placed one of my markers on his police badge, were going to save him." Naruto stated in all seriousness before Barry nodded and got his suit on in a flash and walked up to Naruto.
Sakura came up to Barry with a syringe and a red vial plugged into it, "Caitlin and I reverse-engineered an antidote for the toxin, hopefully, you won't need it" she said as she handed Barry the syringe before Naruto placed his hand on Barry and they were gone in a flash of yellow.
(Iron Heights – Visiting Area)
Naruto and Barry arrived in a flash of yellow only to be greeted by the mist and a collapsed guard before they turned around to see a shocked Henry and Joe. Soon Nimbus materializes in front of them.
"Nimbus. You're supposed to be dead." Joe stated still in a state of shock
"Same to you." Nimbus said before he turned into gas and started to move forward only to be blasted back by a strong gust of wind courtesy of Naruto as he slammed into the wall before solidifying.
"Not today Nimbus." Barry said before he turned to Naruto giving him a nod before Naruto grabbed Joe and flashed back to S.T.A.R. Labs before Nimbus turned back into mist and escaped thru the air vents quickly followed by Barry after he gave the fallen guard the antidote.
(S.T.A.R. Labs – Cortex)
Naruto reappeared in a flash where Sakura had a trashcan ready for Joe as he grabbed it and emptied the contents of his stomach into the trashcan.
"You get used to it after a while." Sakura stated with a smile before Joe looked up at her with a half-assed smile.
Joe finished emptying his stomach before he straightened back up and turned around to see Naruto in his suit. Soon the suit had melted back into the necklace revealing Naruto with a cheesy smile for Joe.
"Where the hell did you get that?" Joe asked
"I made it, it's one of the many projects that I invented. This one is the first one that I completed." Naruto explained as he pointed to the necklace that the Nanobots were just finishing reentering, "These Magatamas store Nanobots which are made of Chakra metal that I created, a million times stronger than titanium and indestructible by any means in this dimension, as this material is only present in our home universe. The Nanobots feed off my chakra as a power source to function, in very minuscule amounts as I didn't want to have to try and fit a battery into the necklace, and seeing as how I have an infinite amount of chakra I didn't see any need to worry about them suddenly losing power this way. I can also configure them to absorb energy if I need to." Naruto finished explaining
"Cool" was all that Joe could say
(Outside Iron Heights)
Barry followed Nimbus back outside and was currently standing in his way.
"So you've come to finish what the gas chamber couldn't?" Nimbus asked
"You're going somewhere you can't hurt anyone ever again." Barry stated
"Wrong" was all that Nimbus said before he turned into mist and started chasing Barry as he sped off to evade Nimbus, Barry briefly stopped to catch his breath
(S.T.A.R. Labs – Cortex)
"Barry already used the antidote on the fallen guard." Sakura stated before Caitlin got on comms
"You need to stay away from him, Barry. Don't breathe him in." Caitlin said
(Back with Barry)
Barry continued to evade Nimbus, before stopping to catch his breath again, "I'm not sure how that helps me, guys."
Nimbus had reformed and was now walking towards Barry before Barry sped at Nimbus going in for an attempt to knock him down only for Barry to go right thru him before coming out the other side and stopping as Nimbus turned back into mist.
"You can't fight him, Barry. Just keep him coming at you. That should sap his strength." Caitlin said over comms
"Gas is the least stable form of matter. This Meta-Human will not be able to stay in his mist form for long. His particles will need to reform." Dr. Wells explained over comms
Shortly after Dr. Wells finished explaining to Barry, Nimbus charged him again causing Barry to have to start evading again Nimbus following closely behind him. Nimbus followed for about 15 seconds before he reformed and changed back into mist and went high up into the air before attempting to crash down on Barry and force him to break him in, only for Barry to jump out of the way tumbling onto the side of the road while letting out a grunt, before getting back to his feet. Before Nimbus reformed looking completely fatigued, wheezing and gasping for air. Barry seeing that Nimbus was now out of juice decided to end this fight and sped at him before slamming into him sending him flying to the ground before Nimbus passed out.
"Barry. Barry." Dr. Wells calls out
"We win." Barry simply stated before he grabbed Nimbus and sped back to S.T.A.R. Labs putting him in a containment cell
(S.T.A.R. Labs – Cortex)
"Alright, I have had enough fun for one day. Naruto can you take me home?" Joe asked getting a nod from Naruto as he grabbed Joe's shoulder and they were gone
(Joe's House)
They arrived at the front of Joe's house and walked up the steps only for Iris and Eddie to walk out.
"Ohh I am so not in the mood for this right now." Joe said knowing where this was going, Naruto quickly grabbed Joe's gun to prevent him from doing anything stupid, Joe notices and turns around
"Give me my gun back." Joe demands only for Naruto to shake his head.
"I'll give it back to you once this is over. Don't want you doing anything stupid now." Naruto said finishing with a grin
Joe sighed before turning back around, "Alright let's get this over with. What do you guys want."
Iris looked at Eddie before looking back at her dad, "Dad, we have something to tell you." Iris started before pausing, "The thing is…"
"You two are dating. I know." Joe said keeping himself as calm as he could
Iris and Eddie were in shock, "You do?" Iris asked
"You do remember that I am a detective, right?" Joe said, "That and both of you are lousy liars." he added
"So your not mad?" Eddie asked
"Oh, I'm mad." Joe said Eddie's facial expression fell at this, "And if Naruto hadn't just taken my gun from me just now we would be having a very different conversation right now." Joe finished before Naruto waved at Iris and Eddie, getting a wave back
Naruto made a motion with his head that told Eddie that he should probably leave for his sake. Eddie getting the hint decided to take his leave.
"Well, I should let you two talk, I'll just leave, and possibly look into witness protection." Eddie said before turning to Iris, "I'll see you tomorrow." Eddie said before turning and leaving.
Iris turned back to her dad, "I'm sorry"
Joe let out a sigh, "Iris, this is going to be complicated. You know I don't like complicated." getting a look from his daughter before sighing once more, "Do you like him?"
"Yeah, I do." Iris said
"Then I will do my damnedest not to shoot him." Joe said
Iris smiled at this, "That is all I ask."
Joe turned back around, "Now give me back my damn gun before I decide to make the stupid decision of hitting you upside the head." he said to Naruto
Naruto stuck his tongue out before he gave Joe back his gun, "Nice seeing you Iris." Naruto said before he left getting a few blocks away before speeding back to S.T.A.R Labs.
(S.T.A.R. Labs – Pipeline)
Everyone minus Barry was down in the pipeline watching their newest prisoner, Naruto had just arrived in a flash of orange, and they all watched as Nimbus pounded on the glass to his cell while yelling trying to break out.
Caitlin decided to speak her concern, "Will it hold?"
"The Barrier is powered by an 8.3 Tesla Superconducting electromagnet, which is about 100,000 times the strength of earth's magnetic field." Cisco explained
Dr. Wells turned to Caitlin, "In other words, yes." getting a sigh from Caitlin as Nimbus continued to pound and scream.
Dr. Wells let out a 'hmm', "He's mad. Well, good night." Dr. Wells said before Naruto activated his Rinne Sharingan and sucked the containment cell into the Kamui dimension that he and Cisco had converted before shortly following so that he could put the cell on the power grid they made and exiting the Kamui dimension reappearing Infront of everyone.
"He is not going anywhere ever again. I set up a medium-sized Fusion reactor to keep the barrier powered so we wouldn't have to constantly go and replace a large capacitor to keep it powered in there, I'll go and take them food at the beginning and end of each day, so they don't die of starvation and the cells have toilets installed into the plumbing network that drops into a lava pit that incinerates everything. All we have to do now is create the containment cells here, lock them up and I just suck the cell into the Kamui dimension and hook the cells up to the power grid, I have them arranged in long rows." Naruto explained, just then his phone rang
Naruto picked his phone out of his pocket before answering the call and bring it the phone up to his ear, "How can I help you Hank?" he said over the phone
"I need you right now." Hank answered
"I'll be right there." Naruto said as he hung the phone up and activated his suit, getting weird looks from everyone
"Sakura, I'm probably going to be late for dinner." Naruto said getting a nod from his wife before he flashed away
(DEO – Main Room)
Naruto appeared beside Hank in a flash of yellow startling everyone in the room, Hank turned to look at him
"Nice suit" Hank stated
"Thanks, I made it myself. What do you need me for?" Naruto asked
"A bomb just went off in Agent Danver's plane, they just lost an engine and are losing altitude. I need you to go and ensure that the plane lands safely. Doesn't have to be in an airfield, just has to land safely. The plane is circling the city as we speak." Hanks explained
Naruto nodded before he took off flying
(Above National City)
Naruto had just arrived and gotten under the plane and was now lifting it. He was joined shortly by Kara, who is in her civilian clothes, as she takes the right-wing. A few moments later Naruto realizes that he is not going to be able to get the plane high enough in time to make it over the bridge.
He looks over to Kara, "You wanna help, turn the plane sideways and fly it thru the space in between the towers on the bridge, I'll clear the cars, so you have a clear path." Naruto instructed before Kara took the place Infront of him as he left the plane and begin using magnet release to lift the cars and move them out of the way, once he was done, he turned around to see that Kara had the plane turned completely vertical and was now guiding it thru the space in between the towers. A few moments later, her and the plane were clear as she let the plane crash into the water, leaving it unharmed and floating in the water. Naruto shortly joined her on the wing of the plane with her being soaking wet, and he watched as everyone looked out their window on the plane. Soon the spotlights were on both of them.
Kara finished getting her bearings before she looked at Naruto, "Who are you?"
"Let's just say a family friend. See you around Zor-el." Naruto said before disappearing in a flash of yellow, as Kara flew off.
(DEO – Main Room)
Naruto reappeared in a flash next to Hank
"Seems that Miss Zor-el has finally jumped into the spotlight. Call me if she is ever in trouble, I made a promise to her cousin and I intend to keep it. Until next time." Naruto said before giving Hank a salute as he disappeared in a flash of yellow.
(The next day)
Naruto had gathered Barry, Caitlin, Sakura, and Cisco as he was finally ready to start training Barry. Naruto sucks them all into his training Kamui dimension. When they all arrive, Cisco and Caitlin are disorientated and grab onto Naruto.
"Alright everyone now if everyone minus Barry will just take a seat over there so that we can begin." Naruto instructs pointing off to the side as he stomps on the ground and 3 chairs raise from the ground.
"Alright, now before we began Barry, I want you to take your shirt and pants off." Naruto instructs Barry
"What. Why?" Barry asks as it's a very unusual request
"I need you to take your shirt and pants off. You can leave your underwear on I just need access to your chest, back, and legs. Something that I have recently noticed about all of you minus Sakura is that ever since the particle accelerator exploded and everyone was affected by the dark matter your chakra networks have been ever so slowly expanding. The dark matter must have done something to your bodies that enabled your chakra networks to begin slowly expanding. Due to this what I'm going to do for you Barry is I'm going to place resistance and gravity seals on you, that will draw/feed off your chakra network in very minuscule amounts allowing it to grow. Now at the very most, you will end up with reserves that are about the size of a fresh Genin as we called them back home. You won't be able to do any of the stuff that me and my wife can do, but you might be able to do a few techniques if I think that you can handle them. Anyways what these seals do is, they make it harder for you to move. The resistance seal will make it seem like you're constantly moving thru water, eventually up to mud or quicksand, the gravity seals will make your body feel like they are under increased gravity. Currently, I am on the max level for both seals, which is very thick quicksand, and about 50,000-times earth's gravity. Now before you get all up and in arms about the levels, I have had about 13 years to get to where I am at now with these levels. You will start on level 1 and will move up when I see fit. I will control when they turn on and off, for now, eventually, I will teach you how to channel your chakra to turn them on and off so if you are in a fight, you won't have them weighing you down. Now get over here." Naruto explained
Barry quickly stripped down and walked over to Naruto, before Naruto laid his hands on Barry's shoulder and everyone watched as black writing spread out from where Naruto's hand was all over Barry's body before they stopped at his ankles and hands respectively, before settling and the writing disappeared.
The effect was almost instantaneous
"Oh my god. It feels like I'm carrying a small fridge on my back." Barry said before he started moving away from Naruto and it felt like he was moving thru waist-deep water, "And it feels like I'm walking thru waist-deep water."
"You will get used to it by the time we are done training today." Naruto said
"And you are under 50,000 times what I'm feeling. Holy shit man, what are your bones made of." Barry exclaimed
"Due to how things were back in our dimension, we were raised differently, our chakra networks weren't stunted and they were allowed to grow. That combined with the gravity difference of this planet vs our planet and our bones had to be a lot denser to compensate, so they wouldn't snap under the pressure, eventually, we evolved, and babies were born with bones as dense as this. Now quit whining and let get to training." Naruto explained
"Now today, we are not allowed to use our speed so that you can get used to the difference and not fall flat on your face when we are fighting. Today we are going to work on Hand to Hand, or as me and my wife learned it, Taijutsu. I'll be taking it easy on you." Naruto continued as he got into his stance, "Now come at me with everything you have."
(A couple of hours later)
A couple of hours had passed, and Barry was drenched in sweat, he was huffing and puffing, and currently, he was laying on a bed with Sakura and Caitlin looking him over making sure nothing was broken.
"That concludes today's lesson, tomorrow we will work on dodging multiple projectiles while fighting. Now let's get out of here. I'm sure your hungry." Naruto said before he brought them all back to the normal world
Once they were back in the normal, they all headed for the mall to get some Big Belly Burger, while Sakura went home to grab Barry a special drink to help replenish his electrolyte, one that was more effective than Powerade or Gatorade. She met them at Big Belly Burger and currently, Barry had just finished his 7th Burger. She tossed him the drink.
"Drink that and all your electrolyte will be restored, it's about 10 times as effective as normal sports drinks." Sakura said getting a thanks from Barry
Naruto was eating some homemade ramen that Sakura had made for him before their training, when Cisco came over and laid his hand on Naruto's shoulder, causing him to look up at Cisco.
"So, when are you going to teach me how to fight?" Cisco asked with a grin on his face
"You have never shown any interest in, wanting to learn nor has there been a need for you to learn. Until I see a need to teach you, I will need to focus on Barry." Naruto states getting a frown and pout from Cisco before he walked away.
Soon Naruto was done eating and stood up, "Well I'm full, I'm going to head back to S.T.A.R. Labs to work on project Hagoromo, I'm almost finished with it. Caitlin, Cisco do you want to join me and Barry in our future sessions?"
"Sure, and maybe you will teach me how to fight one of these days." Cisco said
"Sure, I've got nothing better to do." Caitlin said
"Great, I'll pick you guys up tomorrow." Naruto said before left in a flash of orange followed by Sakura with a flash of pink
(The next day)
Naruto once again gathered Barry, Caitlin, and Cisco and brings them to the training dimension. The first thing that Barry see's when they enter is a large room, Naruto leads him to the room, and they enter.
"What's this room for?" Barry asks
"When activated, some of the panels on this room will open up, revealing turrets that will small rubber balls at you while we fight, this time we are allowed our speed, you can go as fast as you want, and I will match it. The goal of today's lesson, evade as many rubber balls as you can while fighting me." Naruto explains, "Don't worry about bruising, you heal fast remember." Naruto added with a smirk
"Ready?" Naruto asks getting a nod from Barry before Naruto mentally activates the room and they began to fight
About 2 hours later Naruto feels a pull on the Kunai that he gave Hank, Naruto mentally deactivates the room which turns the turrets off. Barry not expecting Naruto to stop sees an opportunity to land a hit on Naruto goes for the hit only for him to hit Naruto and his fist to break.
"That tickled, I'm going to have to cut this session short as I am needed elsewhere." Naruto said
"Jesus' man, what is your face made off, steel?" Barry complains while nursing his hand
"Oh, quick being a baby, you heal fast." Naruto said, "Alright guys I'm cutting today short as I'm needed elsewhere." he added before everyone gathered around and was brought back to the real world as Naruto activated his suit and flashed away.
(DEO – Main Room)
Naruto appears in front of Hank, and Alex who is in a SWAT outfit startling her.
"What do you need this time Hank?" Naruto asks
"Kara flew off to National City Power Plant and is battling someone that we have yet to identify and losing. You told me to call you if she was in trouble." Hanks explained before looking at Alex
"Agent Danvers, you will be following Agent Maelstrom there in a helicopter and chase the attacker should he attempt to flee." Hank said getting a nod from Alex before he went off towards the hanger and Naruto took off
(National City Power Plant)
Vartox was currently choking Kara who he had pinned on top of come hollow copper pipe. Naruto landed a little ways away not catching the attention of Vartox. With a wordless Shinra Tensei, Vartox was sent flying a couple of yards away, Naruto looked to Kara with Kara recognized him from the night of the plane rescue. Before Naruto can even ask Kara if she is ok Vartox swings at Naruto with him catching his ax only for Vartox to try and punch Naruto and him to catch that as well.
"Are you done yet. Kinda trying to ask the sweet lady if she is ok." Naruto says not amused by Vartoxs attempts before throwing Vartox into one of the metal pipes that Vartox had Kara pinned down on.
Shortly after being tossed into the metal pipes, Vartox hears the sounds of a helicopter closing it followed by the sound of rockets exploding near him. Deciding to take his leave Vartox flees followed a short distance by the helicopter before Vartox leaps away. With Vartox gone Alex decides to join Naruto on the ground.
"Is she ok?" Alex ask
"She will be when we get her back to the DEO." Naruto responds before picking Kara up bridal style and flying off towards the DEO, followed shortly by Alex in the helicopter.
(DEO – Medbay)
Kara was currently laying up against a table while Alex pulled the metal shard from the ax out of Kara's arm as she watched the wound heal right up.
"You're gonna be okay." Alex reassures
"I've never felt pain like that before. Uh, I've never felt pain." Kara says shocked
"Sorry Zor-el, but unlike me, you're not indestructible." Naruto comments now reminding Alex and Kara that he is still there
"Who are you? You were there when I went to save my sister's plane and now you save my ass from getting cut in half. And how do you know my name is Zor-el?" Kara asked
Naruto turns to Hank looking for what to do, Hank puts his hands up, "Hey, it's your identity, not mine, it's up to you who your reveal it to."
Naruto shrugs his shoulders before deactivating his suit. Kara and Alex are amazed as they watch his suit slowly dissolve back into his necklace. Pretty soon all his suit has been absorbed back into the necklace and they can see his body and face, causing them both to blush.
"Hello, Kara Zor-el." Naruto says Alex looks to Hank expect answers
"This is Agent Maelstrom, he is our got to man when the situation gets rough and your cousin isn't available. As well as our go-to person in case your cousin goes off the rails." Hank explains
"That boy scout isn't gonna do nothing bad, he doesn't have it in him." Naruto comments
This catches Kara's attention, "How do you know my cousin Kal-El?"
"Well young one, I am not exactly from this 'Dimension'. But when I arrived here your cousin thought that he was hot shit, he has quite the ego and thought he could take me on. Long story short, I put him in his place with a single move. After that, we became good friends to which he asked me for a favor. That favor being to watch out for his family, in case he was busy and couldn't, and well now we're here." Naruto explained, "Oh, and don't ask me to explain the Multiverse, I've had to explain that one, one too many times." Naruto added
Kara at this point is skeptical at this point, "Wait so you're telling me that you single-handedly beat my cousin with 1 move. I doubt that"
"He did Kara. I was there I witnessed it with my own 2 eyes." Hank backed Naruto up
Kara shook her head, "Nope, not buying it, sorry."
Naruto shook his head, "You don't have to. I'm not trying to prove anything to you nor do I need to. Anyways Hank call me if the dumbass shows up again, I'm leaving." Naruto said before disappearing in a flash of yellow.
(Later that night)
Naruto was at home, watching T.V. with Sakura who was laying on him when his phone rang. Naruto picked it up and brought it to his ear.
"He's back, I need you to back Kara up if she needs it, as well as clean up if need be." Hank said over the phone
"I'll be right there." Naruto said before hanging the phone up
"Let me guess, pretty boy's cousin needs you again." Sakura said getting a nod from Naruto before getting up so that Naruto could get up.
Naruto got up and his suit melted onto him before he disappeared in a flash of yellow.
(DEO)
Naruto appeared beside Hank in a flash of yellow, startling Kara and Alex.
"You guys should really get used to that." Naruto said
Kara sighed, "Do I really need to be babysat?"
Naruto chuckled, "I'm not babysitting you. I'm just here in case you get into too much trouble and can't handle it."
Kara scoffed, "Whatever" before she flew off, Alex gave Naruto a nod before he took off after Kara
(After the fight with Vartox)
Naruto flew it, giving Kara a hand up, "Well, looks like you didn't need me after all. Guess I'm just on clean up this time."
Kara watched as all the metal around them started to move towards Naruto, before melding into 2 blocks of metal, one from the truck the other from Vartoxs ax, Kara just stood there astonished, what could this man do.
"Well, I'm going to go and deposit this stuff at the DEO. Until next time." Naruto said before he flew off with the two blocks of metal following shortly behind him.
(The Next Night)
Naruto was working on his project 'Hagoromo', putting the finishing touches on the A.I. when once again his phone rang.
"Yes, Hank?" Naruto said over the phone
"Alex has been kidnapped and Kara found where and is going in alone. She might need back up." Hank said
"I'll be right over." Naruto said hanging up the phone
Naruto saved what he was doing on his computer before his suit melted onto his body and he was gone in a flash.
(DEO)
Naruto arrived in a flash of yellow and looked at Hank.
"Where is she?" Naruto asked
"A warehouse at the corner of 78th and Washington." Hank said
Naruto mentally pulled up instructions on how to get there.
"Don't bother telling me how to get there, I already know how." Naruto said and he was off.
(Warehouse on the corner of 78th and Washington)
Naruto arrived as a Hellgrammite had Alex pinned up against a chain-link fence about to kill her. Naruto summoned his sword from a seal on his arm and cut the Hellgrammites head off surprising Alex.
"Sit tight while I go and help your sister." Naruto instructed before walking off to where he heard Kara fighting Astra
"Kara your sister is safe, go take her back to Base, it's time to go." Naruto called out, getting Kara's attention before she came down and headed toward where her sister was.
Astra having none of it calls out to Kara, "We are not done here little one." she called out before she tried to fly after Kara only for Naruto to get in the way.
"Move fragile human before I make you regret it." Astra said
"The only way you're getting to Kara is thru me, so feel free to try all you want." Naruto said not moving an inch
An enraged Astra threw a punch at Naruto's chest, only for it to hit and do nothing, Astra tries a couple more times only to get the same result. She tries again only for Naruto to grab her arm and roundhouse kick her into a steel beam.
Astra was flabbergasted, "No mere human should be able to take all those hits and not even flinch, much less deal a blow like that to a Kryptonian. Who or what are you?" she asked
"Who and what I am is none of your concern. All you Kryptonians are the same, you think you're invincible when your not. Leave now before I decided to do some real damage that will last a good while." Naruto said before Astra got prepared to leave.
"THIS ISN'T OVER YOUNG ONE. And the same goes for you mister." Astra called out before taking off thru the roof. And Naruto left in a flash
And that concludes this chapter. I have now introduced Naruto to Kara and have started the crossover between Flash and Supergirl. Now Naruto won't always be there, only when Kara is in over her head or really needs it in my opinion. What I will be doing is probably is a crossover to supergirl every other chapter, as this fic is focused on the flash.
Naruto's suit is basically like T'Challa's from black panther, and he will be finishing his A.I. soon enough and add it to his suit. Still have to figure out a way for Cisco to discover his powers.
I have decided that everyone on team flash will eventually have chakra reserves no higher than a fresh genin. As well as Naruto and Sakura will have their first set of twins in season 1.
Eventually, this story will transfer over to Superman & Lois, once The Flash is finished as I have some pretty good ideas for what I want to do with that series
I still need to figure out how to tie in Amunet Black, seeing as how I have something planned for Caitlin Snow, feel free to leave suggestions
