(Scene Break/Time Skip)
(A few days later – Early afternoon – Cortex)
Naruto was working on a new application for Nanobots in conjunction with Sakura who wasn't to far from him when suddenly Naruto felt a pull of one of his Hiraishin markers, likely one of the ones that he gave to Felicity, Kara, or Iris.
"Sir, it appears that Felicity has activated her panic button." Hagoromo spoke up causing Naruto to look up at Sakura
"Go, this can wait." Sakura told him only getting a nod in return as his suit formed around his body in mere seconds before he disappeared in a yellow flash
(Starling City - SCPD)
Naruto appeared in a flash of yellow only to be greeted by the sound of gunfire. Naruto turned around to see 2 men, the first was a well-dressed man shielding Felicity, and the other was a man aiming a gun at both of them. Naruto quickly disarmed the man aiming his gun at the other man who was shielding Felicity before he kicked the man in the knee, shattering his knee, sending him to the floor screaming in pain holding his shattered knee before he threw him into a wall before he turned around to see a woman in a red business suit fighting another man with a gun. Naruto walked over to the man and chopped him in the neck sending him into the realm of unconsciousness.
Naruto looked around to see if there were any more. Seeing that it was now safe Naruto turned to Felicity.
"Are you okay?" Naruto asked
"Yeah. I'm fine." Felicity answered
"See? This is why I need a technosuit." The well-dress man stated
"If that is all I'm going to take my leave." Naruto said
"Wait. Who are you?" The well-dressed man asked
"None of your concern that's who." Naruto answered and with that Naruto disappeared in a flash of yellow
(A couple of days later – S.T.A.R. Labs)
Naruto and Sakura were continuing their work on Medical uses for nanites when suddenly Hagoromo spoke up.
"Sir, Kara has activated her panic button." Hagoromo announced
Sakura looked up at Naruto "Go we can resume this later, you made a promise to Superman."
Naruto nodded before his suit bled onto his body, and with a flash of yellow, he was gone.
(DEO – Unknown Location)
Naruto appeared in a flash of yellow to see Kara on the floor with Alex next to her. Kara immediately looked up at him.
"Please don't let them torture her." Kara begged causing Naruto to turn around only to be greeted by General Lane with a syringe full of what he could only assume was liquid kryptonite, Naruto looked over at the suitcase that he assumed previously held the liquid kryptonite and say several other containers of it
"How the hell did you get in here?" General Lane asked
"That's none of your business." Naruto answered before he saw Astra "Why are you attempting to torture her?"
"She has the location of the enemy base. Henshaw has been captured and is being held there and I intend on finding out the location so that we can rescue Henshaw." General Lane answered
"There are more humane ways of going about it, you know." Naruto pointed out "Sorry but I'm afraid I can't let you torture her, at least not in this inhumane way." And with that Naruto grabbed the syringe and the case full of liquid kryptonite and sealed it away for safe disposal before he turned to Kara "I will be taking my leave now." And with that Naruto disappeared in a flash of yellow
(The next evening – Cortex)
Barry was doing his nightly rounds when he heard sirens.
"Cisco, what do you have for me?" Barry asked
"I've got a flipped car that ran into a powerline." Cisco answered
Immediately Barry was on his way, about 5 seconds later he made it to the scene and saw police cars, firetrucks on sight along with Firefighters getting set up. Barry ran up to the flipped-over car and quickly released his seals before he flipped the car back over shocking the police, firefighters, as well as the occupants of the car. The next thing that Barry did was rip the driver's side door off its hinges before tossing it to the side as he grabbed the driver and deposited him a safe distance away before he went back and did the same to the passenger's side door and the passenger.
The occupants of the car hugged one another before they turned to Barry "Thank you, Flash." Barry simply nodded his head before he sped off to continue his rounds of the city.
(Several hours later – Cortex – S.T.A.R. Labs)
Barry had finally finished his rounds of the city and deposited the suit onto the manikin where Cisco was cleaning it. Naruto and Sakura were continuing their pursuit of the medical use of Nanites in one of the labs. Dr. Wells was just observing from a distance, while Caitlin did her own thing.
"Dude. That was insane. I mean, even I'm having a hard time getting mad at you for dirtying up my suit." Cisco said
"Okay, when are we going to start considering it my suit?" Barry asked
"I'd be comfortable calling it our suit." Cisco answered/compromised as Caitlin walked out of the other lab
"Tonight was the fastest you've ever run with your gravity and resistance seals on." Caitlin informed
"Yes, your training with Naruto is paying off. Although I do wonder how fast you are with your seals off. Regardless, that couple is alive tonight before of you." Dr. Wells said
"With my seals off I can just about double my speed, the seals only come off in emergency situations." Barry stated
"You will get faster the more you train and the longer that you are connected to the speed force." Naruto commented without looking up from what he was doing "I think tomorrow will be the day that we take Frost into the TPD to get her set up with her gravity and resistance seals."
"I think you have fulfilled your quota for saving people. Proper rest is what you need, as do we all." Dr. Wells said before wheeling himself out
"Better yet, what we all need is a proper drink. Who's up for a round?" Cisco asked
"Oh, dude, it's—it's date night with Frost." Barry answered/told "But I'll see you guys tomorrow, all right?" before Barry began walking out
"Bye. Night" Caitlin/Cisco said before Cisco turned to Caitlin
"What about you? Drinks on me?" Cisco asked
"I think I'll pass. Sorry, Cisco." Caitlin answered
"Alright, Honey, I think we have made enough progress for tonight." Naruto announced as he straightened himself
"Yea, I agree. Let's go home." Sakura agreed before they put everything away and sped home
(The next day – S.T.A.R. Labs – Cortex)
Joe and Barry had dropped by to show Team Flash the evidence that they had pulled from their newest scene which was a prison break. Currently, the evidence was up on their screens.
"Not even Barry's cells move this fast. I've never seen anything like it." Caitlin stated
"So Clay Parker is a meta-human?" Joe asked
"Not so fast." Dr. Wells answered "The particulate residue Barry gathered at Iron Heights does contain Clay Parker's DNA, but also DNA of a woman."
"Run her DNA against the CCPD criminal database. See if you get a match." Barry ordered as Cisco began typing away, seconds later a match popped up
"Yahtzee. Her name's Shawna Baez. Mostly petty crimes and this girl likes to party, apparently. A long list of disorderly conducts at local bars. " Cisco said
"So I'm guessing we find her, we find Clay Parker." Joe concluded "Barry?" as he pointed toward the door
"Yeah." Barry responded before he began walking out with Joe
"In the meantime, let's track these particulates and see how they work." Dr. Wells suggested/ordered
(Several Hours later – Cortex)
Barry had returned to see the progress that had been made analyzing the particulate that he left them getting Caitlin's attention who was at the main console drinking coffee. Naruto and Sakura were in one of the labs working on a breakthrough for their Nanite project. Naruto had also taken Frost into the TPD and gotten her set up with the resistance and gravity seals.
"Mm. I was analyzing the particulates that Clay Parker and Shawna Baez left behind, and I found something very interesting. When Clay's cells come into contact with Shawna's, they adopt her properties." Caitlin explained before Barry looked at her
"Something bothering you?" Barry asked
"Why would you ask that?" Caitlin answered with a question
"You're doing that biting-your-lower-lip thing that you do when something's bothering you." Barry answered causing Caitlin to cough
"I'm fine." Caitlin stated
"Okay." Barry simply said before Caitlin stood up straight
"Cisco says I don't have a life." Caitlin stated crossing her arms causing Barry to smile
"You don't, do you?" Barry asked causing Caitlin to smile
"I do! I cook and eat and read and help you." Caitlin said defensively
"So what you're saying is you do everything that has nothing to do with having a life." Barry deduced
"You don't have to be rude about it." Caitlin responded before something popped up on one of the monitors
"There is an armed robbery in progress. Two suspects, male and female in their 20's. Sounds like our meta-human Bonnie and Clyde are at it again." Caitlin announced before Barry got suited up and was off
(15 minutes later – Cortez)
Barry had come back from the robbery with a wound from a bullet. Nothing serious just some broken skin because Barry was able to grab and stop the bullet before it went any further but in return, he let Clay and Shawna get away. Frost was currently healing Barry while Caitlin and Cisco manned the main console.
"This is a bullet wound. You're lucky it just barely broke the skin baby." Frost commented as she withdrew her hands as the green hue disappeared
"Guess I'm a lot faster than a speeding bullet." Barry responded "Shawna Baez. She can teleport." Getting Naruto's attention who was working with Sakura in one of the labs
"What do you mean she can teleport?" Naruto asked
"Wait, as in 'Beam me up, Shawna?'" Caitlin asked only getting a nod in return as Dr. Wells wheeled himself out of one of the labs
"Yes, of course. Quantum entanglement. The ability to manipulate interconnected particles over an infinite distance. Or, as Einstein put it, 'spooky action at a distance.'" Dr. Wells explained
"Every time I got close, she'd disappear. It was like we were playing a game of –" Barry said only to be cut off by Caitlin
"Peek-a-boo." Caitlin fired off causing everyone to turn to her "Come on. Can't I name one?"
"How am I supposed to catch her if I don't know where she's gonna be?" Barry asked
"Everybody has limits, Mr. Allen. Now that we know Shawna's powers, we'll focus on those limits." Dr. Wells stated before he began wheeling himself away
"All right. Let me know. I'm gonna change. I gotta go help Iris." Barry said before he took off
(Hours later)
Naruto and Sakura were in one of the labs of the Cortex working on their newest invention while Caitlin was in the other testing and examining Shawna's cells when suddenly her phone rang. Caitlin picked up her phone to see it was Barry before she answered it and put her phone up to her ear.
"Hey." Caitlin greeted
"What bars did Shawna and Clay frequent?" Barry asked
"Uh, mostly south side dive bars." Caitlin answered "Why?"
"I was gonna check 'em out. See if they fall into any old habits." Barry answered
"That's a good idea." Caitlin commented "Does Frost know you are doing this?"
"Actually it was her idea." Barry answered "You can join us if you like."
"I think I will." Caitlin stated before he hung up
(The next day – Cortex)
Barry had been called back to S.T.A.R. Labs because they figured out a way to potentially counter Shawna. Caitlin currently had a hangover.
"Take a look at this." Dr. Wells stated before bringing up Shawna's cells onto one of the main monitors "Now, this is the normal behavior of the particulate that Shawna left behind. Watch what happens when we remove light." Before he turned off the light showing that the particulate completely stopped moving "Shawna can only become entangled with something she can see. Take away her ability to do that—"
"And she can't teleport." Cisco finished
"Exactly." Dr. Wells said as Barry's phone rang
"So, we just need to get her into a dark place. How do we do that? Wouldn't she just teleport away?" Caitlin asked before Barry answered his phone
"That is a valid question." Dr. Wells commented
"Hello?" Barry greeted answering his phone "What?" causing everyone to turn to Barry "Yeah, I'll be right there. All right." Before he hung the phone up
"What's wrong?" Dr. Wells asked causing Barry to turn around to face them
"M-my dad. He's been stabbed." Barry answered
(Later that day – Evening)
Barry had finally cornered Shawna and Clay in a long tunnel. Shawna teleported out of the car and began fighting Barry. After about 2 minutes of fighting, Shawna teleported back into the car as Clay floored it. Barry had to move to the side so Clay didn't run him over, as Clay passed him spoke up.
"Barry, remember: she cannot teleport if she cannot see. Limit her field of vision." Dr. Wells said causing Barry to quickly looked around to see if he could find anything to smash the lights. Not too far from him were a pair of wrenches. Barry grabbed the wrenches before he started running on the wall smashing the lights as he caught up to Clay. Eventually, he got ahead of them and smashed the remaining lights leaving the tunnel completely black.
Barry walked up to the passenger side door and opened it revealing Shawna "He left me." Was all she said before Barry knocked her out to keep her from teleporting away, he then picked her up and headed back to S.T.A.R. Labs to deposit her in a specially-made cell
(A couple minutes later – Pipeline)
Barry had deposited Shawna in her cell and gotten changed before he went back to talk with her along with Caitlin, Cisco, and Naruto. They watched as she teleported around in her cell.
"Is there any way she can teleport out of this?" Barry asked
"It's impossible. It's one-way glass. It's mirrored on the inside." Cisco answered before Barry walked up to the cell
"Shawna. Clay left you. He's out there, and you're in here." Barry stated
"You wanna know what the crazy thing is?" Shawna asked/stated "I still love him." Before Barry turned around
"Naruto." Barry said before Naruto stepped forward activating his Rinne Sharingan before a swirl developed, soon Naruto, Shawna, and her cell were consumed, and transported to the PPD.
