"That damned man..."

Yasaka, no last name, grit her teeth as she prayed for her lost child.

14 years ago, during the birth of her children... the father had her oldest child, a Kyuubi of unmatched power had kidnapped his child. The child that he saw as having more potential, who had a far greater latent potential than even himself. A Kyuubi strong enough that his own raw power was enough to make her feel weak in comparison to him, even when she was going all out.

His strength no longer mattered though.

Her ex-husband, was sealed away.

9 members of the previous Top 10 Strongest had worked together, and ended up sealing her ex-husband away in a way that he couldn't ever unseal himself. 8 of those members had lost their lives, and the last one had been seriously wounded to the point that he was no longer a member of the Top 10... and the Number 1 of the Top 10 hadn't gotten involved at all.

She had little doubt that her child had died that day.

There was no way that the beings involved hadn't made sure of it.

"Mother... there is a visitor for you." Kunou, the second born, spoke as she entered the shrine. The shrine that was fully dedicated to the late first born, who Kunou had never met. Yasaka glanced back towards her daughter, her second born. Born from a different father... technically she was re-married... though Kunou's father just thought that their meeting was a dream. Sometimes, when she had an itch, she would appear before her father and satisfy her urges for physical comfort.

She learned her lesson the last time she mated with a Kyuubi, and this time she made sure to mate with humans, so her child wouldn't have that same tempting potential. She diluted her own powerful Kyuubi blood, so her kyuubi daughter wasn't as much of a threat. Still, she was worried that her daughter was strong enough that some might consider taking her out of the picture, so she made sure that she was never too far away from her.

All of that didn't matter.

She had a guest, on the day that she always spent mourning, which was unacceptable to her.

"Tell them to fuck off." Yasaka was feeling murderous at the moment. She was feeling absolutely like the smallest thing would set her off. Her hatred for her ex-husband was at it's peak, and her sorrow for her lost child was fresh. She had the power and authority to kill most people who bothered her, but usually it was tempered by the patience and understanding to not act on those urges.

Kunou didn't say anything at first.

"... It is an older man, human... he has come from Mt. Oinari..."

"Tell him to kill himself then, because I don't want to see anyone from that damn mountain." Yasaka knew THAT place very well, and she hated it. It was the birthplace of her ex-husband, and where he gained so much power. It was where he gained the powers of the gods, bathing in the blood of the injured Goddess Inari.

Kunou took a deep breath.

"... He... is here to apologize... about lying... according to him... my brother is alive... and living with humans-"

Yasaka MOVED faster than anyone had ever seen her move in her long, long life. She pushed her daughter out of her way as she ran across through shrine gates, and moved towards where she could smell an older human male.

Red.

Yasaka saw red as she felt a fury surpassing even her hatred of her ex-husband. She went towards where the guest was, and she slammed the door open with enough force to knock it out of it's socket. Her eyes scanned the room, before she saw an elderly man was sitting on his knees, patiently waiting for her. If he was startled by the fury etched onto her face, he didn't comment on it at all.

"Yasaka-"

"DIE!" Yasaka rushed towards the man, her fingernails extended into claws. That was all she had to say to the man who was just NOW telling her that her first born child was still alive, despite everyone knowing that the child was hers. She felt arms wrap around her waist.

"Wait, Mother, he knows where-"

"He dies NOW!" Yasaka was seeing blood red, so when her Kunou grabbed onto her, she threw the child off of her body. The elderly man was sending her a look of pity, at how she wasn't thinking clearly. He didn't say a word, he seemed to accept his fate as she rushed towards him, no longer impeded by her child holding her back.

Yasaka swung her hand at him, and her claws ripped his head from his body in one jagged swipe. She shoved her other hand into his chest, before she ripped out his barely beating heart, and threw it to the side.

She mauled the corpse with her bare hands.

"Mother, stop, he's dead."

"You bastard, you kept my child from me! I missed his first human transformation, and his first fireball, and I even missed the first time he pranked a human... thanks to you, I've missed so much of his most important years!" Yasaka ripped the corpse to pieces and threw them all across the room.

She grabbed the man's soul and held it to the floor, coating her hands in her spiritual power. She didn't allow the man's soul to go to the afterlife. She held it very firmly by the neck with one hand, while using her other hand to rip his organs out of his body and threw them violently around the room.

"Mother!"

"Leave Kunou!" Yasaka wanted her daughter to see this, but she was conflicted since she knew her daughter shouldn't be watching what she was about to do to the man's soul. Her fingernails were covered in pure blue flames, and she slashed the soul across the face. She wasn't satisfied just mauling his corpse, she was going to wound his very soul until there was nobody in the afterlife who would recognize him.

"Mother!"

"LEAVE! NOW!" Yasaka left no room for arguments.

13 years she mourned for one of her children, only for her to learn that her child was still alive and was now living amongst humans. She didn't hate humans, but humans were cruel creatures towards youkai as a whole. She believed humans and youkai needed to separate themselves from each other as much as possible, though the humans in Kyoto were okay to mingle with. Yasaka watched as Kunou left the room, and she turned back to the soul of the old man in her grasp.

"Yasaka... your child, the child of the Monster Fox... he... Naruto..."

"You don't get to say that name to me!" Yasaka started to rip and scratch, and burn, the soul in her grasp when he tried to speak. "I mourned for 13 long, unbearable years, for my loss... You stole my child from me. No reason you have would ever make that right!" Yasaka didn't want excuses.

She wanted the man to suffer.

She was not going to forgive him, or listen to what he had to say to her. She was going to inflict 13 years worth of pain into his soul, and then she would have her kitsune forces go and find her son. Wherever he was, she would have him brought back to her.

He fucked with her child.

Now he was about to find out how she was going to fuck him over for the rest of eternity, if she ever allowed him to go to the afterlife after this.

-The Next Day-

"... Find... him..." Yasaka had lost her voice. She had spent an entire day screaming at the old man as she tortured his soul. She had blown her voice out in the process. Her eyes were puffy and swollen from her tears, and she was mentally exhausted.

"Mother... I..."

"I'm sorry..." Yasaka apologized for pushing and yelling at her daughter. Looking back at her rage, she shouldn't have treated her daughter like that. She had gotten completelyt overtaken by her own anger. The news that she spent 13 years mourning her child, instead of raising him, had just hit her in the heart with more than she had ever handled before. It was her first time ever being THAT angry before, and she knew she shouldn't have allowed any of that to slip towards her child. Yasaka pulled her daughter into a hug, and it was he softest hug that she could manage.

"It's okay... my brother is alive."

'Yes... he's alive... he's alive.' Yasaka felt a spark of joy growing inside of her the more she thought that.

Her son was alive!
