67: A New Threat?

Peter walked into the room, and there she was, sitting on her usual place. On a cushion no less, brewing tea in a kettle.

"Good evening, apprentice Spider." She said.

Peter made a face under the mask. 'Good evening?'

"No time difference?"

"Of course there is. Please take a seat." She said, gesturing to the cushion in front of her. There was a table in between.

Peter just sat down there, staring at her as she poured a cup of tea for him.

"As for the difference in time. It is different, very much so." She sipped from her cup, closing her eyes to relish the taste. "But isn't it evening for you?"

"I suppose," he shrugged, getting the cup before willing his mask to disappear from his mouth. Then, he took a sip; it was hot, sweet, and a bit bitter. There was a lingering aftertaste though, and Peter enjoyed it very much.

Both sat there, drinking their tea without saying anything else, enjoying the moment. Tea was like that; it had an effect on people.

"Anyways," Peter said, after he was done relishing the taste. "I want to know something."

"You always do," The Ancient One said, her mouth on the cup.

Peter winced slightly.

It was true, he only came here to meet her whenever he had something to ask. He hadn't met her otherwise, like, ever.

Damn, he feels bad now.

"Don't feel bad for an oldie like me," Ancient One chuckled, smiling. "And tell me why you're here for."

"Oh, well, how should I say it." Peter organized his thoughts. "My partner is pregnant."

"Oh," she raised an eyebrow. "Congratulations, I suppose."

"Thank you," Peter sighed. "There is a problem though."

"The baby and the mother are both fine, but the baby has stopped growing."

Ancient One creased her eyebrows, sipping her tea.

"I think it might be because its mother and I are not humans. So, it could be that the pregnancy period is longer, or that the babies stop growing for a while. It could be anything, but I'm worried. And that's why I came to you, wondering if-"

"Wondering If I know something." Ancient One completed for him, fully concentrated on her tea while her mind wandered about to find information about this matter.

Peter waited silently drinking tea. It was good, and… calming. No wonder she drank this so much, it helped calm you down.

"There have been similar cases before," she said suddenly. "But…" she frowned. "I might need to look into some old books, apprentice Spider." She said, standing up.

She brought her hands forward to open a portal.

"In any way," she stopped, and gazed at him. "You shouldn't worry. It should be nothing of concern."

"I hope so," Peter muttered, staring at her walking into the portal and vanishing inside.

The portal closed behind her, leaving nothing but golden sparks behind, even those dimmed before vanishing after a few seconds.

Peter just sat there, thinking, while sipping his tea from time to time.

He should definitely learn how to brew.

Felicia Hardy was pissed.

After Peter and Jessica vanished into some glittery golden light, Felicia ran around in the near vicinity of that place, trying to find where they went.

However, she couldn't find them. They were nowhere to be seen. Felicia was extremely worried for Jessica. Yes, she was worried. She knew how hurtful it was, how scary it was. Felicia wanted to genuinely help Jessica if Peter was forcing her to do something.

Felicia would call the authorities, or outright cripple the bastard with her own two hands. His girlfriend, Gwen, she had a father in the police, no?

Felicia would ruin his life if something happened to Jessica.

So, Felicia didn't stop looking for her, and just like that, Felicia was walking towards the girl's home. Maybe Jessica returned home or something?

Felicia didn't want to go to her own house today, not until she made sure Jessica was safe.

It wasn't just for Jessica, as Felicia had nothing to do with the girl and didn't know her, but Felicia wanted to help Jessica just because she could. And that it felt right. From within her, she wanted to do this.

She chuckled; tryna be a hero are we?

How ironic, she was against the idea just a while ago, and now, look at her worrying for some random girl she had a little crush on.

Yes, Felicia had a crush on Jessica, like many other girls.

She wasn't really interested in girls though, it was just that she'd closed the doors for men after that incident where that cunt tried to rápe her. She was still interested in men though, but she would never accept it.

So, as she was bisexual in the first place, Felicia had started leaning more toward girls than boys. Her likeness for girls only increased after she witnessed how boys her age acted. Immature, horny, full of hormones, and some were outright pathetic to look at since they were so very desperate for some pussy.

Felicia despised that kind with her heart.

And just like that, while she pondered in her mind and walked to Jessica's home on the outside, Felicia stopped when she was near the girl's house.

Felica sighed, brought herself out of her mind, and stared at the house. She jumped up on a building and started monitoring. Oh, she was in her "Black Cat" outfit. Anyways, after spying- or more appropriately, monitoring the house for a while, Felicia realized that Jessica wasn't home yet.

Felicia ground her teeth.

Where was this girl?!

Felicia wanted to go and look for her, but she didn't since she knew that she couldn't really find Jessica in this big city alone.

So, she waited, there on the rooftop. She waited for when Jessica would arrive.

And sure enough, the girl did arrive, just like she'd left.

Near the house, something golden flashed. Since Felicia was a burglar, she could swiftly recognize this color in her vision. Felicia quickly bolted and stared in that direction.

A human size circle was hovering in the air, sparks of golden light spreading all across the ground before dimming and vanishing. Felicia stared at it with wide, glittering eyes.

Her mouth was watering a little, and her toes were curling in her shoes. More so, she had this funny feeling in her stomach.

She stared at the golden circle.

"Aww," Felicia squealed. "I want it so bad~"

And it vanished, making her blink in panic.

Where did it go?! Where?!

Felicia purred dangerously, but then her eyes landed on Jessica's running figure with a flustered look on her face.

"Oh…"

Felicia blinked, remembering why she was there in the first place. And even though she wanted to own that circle thingy, wanted to steal it, she fought the urge. It was a bit easy to fight the urge this time since the thing was gone.

She had it in the back of her mind, but she didn't feel compelled to steal it. So, she quickly jumped down the building, changed clothes in an alleyway, and ran to Jessica.

The girl was looking around, really confused. Felicia walked up to her and grabbed her shoulder.

"Ahh!" Jessica yelled and jumped up in the air.

Felicia's jaw dropped.

The jump in itself wasn't surprising, but the fact that Jessica was hovering in the air while flailing her arms and legs about in the air. Felicia was utterly shocked.

"WHO THE FUCK IS IT?!" Jessica squealed; hands ready in combat. But Felicia squinted, staring at the bruises the girl had on her arms, wrists, and hands.

…That fucker.

Felicia gritted her teeth, and turned around, leaving. That fucker had the guts to hurt Jessica?! The girl was so scared she jumped up like this! Had the fucker harassed her that much?!

Felicia's mind wasn't right. She wasn't the sanest right about now, or she would've stayed behind and offered Jessica some emotional support. More than anyone else, Felicia knew how Jessica must feel after getting violated.

Even though Felicia wasn't violated or ráped like Jessica, she knew how it felt to be the victim.

Felicia walked aimlessly, looking for Peter Parker.

She would beat the fucker up.

Alas, if only she knew how much she misunderstood the situation.

Meanwhile, Jessica, who had just opened her eyes, blinked. There wasn't anybody down there. So who touched her on the shoulder? Jessica cursed and flew down, landing on the ground with a soft thud.

She was able to do this much, easily.

Peter's training was worth the effort.

Jessica sighed as she landed, and started walking home. She didn't even have to knock at the door. The door opened by itself, or more particularly, it was opened by a specific someone.

Her adoptive sister.

She had her mouth agape as she stared at Jessica.

And Jessica knew.

"What the actual fuck?!"

That she was fucked and that the cat was out of the bag

Peter was swinging around the city, fighting some minor crimes.

There was one oddity he found though.

There were many criminals' dead bodies. With their heads… gone. As if it was ripped away, blown to smithereens. Peter was confused, what was happening in the city?

It seemed that it had started happening recently.

He watched the news quite scarcely, and today, he finally checked the news on his phone. And the latest news was of some murderer, who'd been killing people all around Queens and Manhattan.

It was, apparently, getting quite big on social media, especially now that Twitter was well known by, quite literally, everyone. People were blaming the government for not doing anything, and while some pathetic ass insecure bitches were on about how it was Spider-Man's fault.

Take JJJ for example.

[Spider-Menace behind the atrocities of New York! Learn the truth behind why Spider-Man has not caught the criminal yet!]

Peter chuckled.

Maybe he'd been avoiding New York for far too long. Now, personally, he didn't care in the slightest about this city or its inhabitants, but he had a fucking public image to maintain.

And that his loved ones were here too.

So, Peter needed to act quickly and find whoever this bitch was, and stop the murders.

Though Peter was a bit curious, why was this man or woman—or possibly a group—doing all this and leaving evidence behind? Although it was a whole other matter that the evidence led to nothing.

The perpetrator was a professional at whatever they were doing, but Peter didn't really understand why they'd leave behind a headless corpse.

Was it some kind of message?

Or was it some kind of threat to someone?

What was the 'goal' of this man/woman or group?

Peter didn't know shit, and it bothered him. Not knowing shit bothered him a lot. This was happening in his neighborhood, which meant that it could happen to his loved ones too.

He needed to do something about this, and he needed to do something fast.

Peter shot webs from both his wrists, they came out and latched onto the building he was climbing atop. Then, he pulled and jumped, making his way to the top.

He wanted to go up there, but his eyes caught something interesting.

So, he jumped down, diving straight toward that something which was 'interesting' to him.

One particular Black Cat.

Now that he thought of it, his eyesight was crazy if he could spot her this high up from the ground. Peter shook his head and dove with his face splitting the air like a knife going through butter and landed just beside her, forming a small crater due to the impact.

"Wassup love?" he asked, staring at her agape mouth.

Peter couldn't help but chuckle, leaning forward and closing her mouth with his hand.

"Cat got your tongue?"

Peter, or more specifically Spider-Man to her, questioned with a playful edge to his tone.

Anyway, check out my pa treon
