68: Cats Are Awesome, Cats Are Cool
—
Felicia Hardy had stormed off into the city of New York after seeing the state Jessica was in. The girl didn't seem to care, more like, she was fine with it. She was fine with how she was being treated.
Which, in Felicia's opinion, wasn't right at all. Jessica had been defiled by that man, that bastard, and yet she didn't want to go away, or even punish the dude. Felicia didn't like that. So, instead of staying behind and comforting the girl, she stormed off to find Peter.
She regretted it now that she was a bit sane, wandering New York City without any destination in mind at all. She was regretting that she hadn't stayed behind and comforted Jessica, and she was feeling bad about it too.
So, she would find some criminal and vent since she couldn't really find Peter either. She had searched for his house, and upon finding it, there was no one inside. Neither he nor his aunt. So, Felicia was out here, punching the bad guys. Which was quite hypocritical of her since, well, she was a thief herself.
She just sighed, punching another one of the scums on earth to the ground.
Felicia wasn't killing them, of course, she was not that apathetic. So she'd do it if it concerned her life and her mother, no matter how her mother was.
Felicia fought any and every criminal she came across, but she also found something quite absurd.
There were dead bodies all around Queens and Manhattan. Even the mob seemed scared of this killer. There were way fewer criminals out here in the alleys than they used to be.
So, Felicia quickly left that place since her cat tingle was warning her.
She didn't really have any 'cat tingly' but she knew when something 'bad' was about to happen. And that sense of 'bad' was quite high in the place she was before. So, she ran away.
Felicia didn't know how, but after she awakened her powers, she was able to feel this thing she could only title as 'luck' and a sense when something 'good' or 'bad' was about to happen.
She ran to a more crowded place, and waited for that 'sense' of dread which indicated bad luck to vanish before she moved again.
Yeah, she might be a super, might even have some powers she hadn't discovered yet, but she knew that she wasn't nearly as strong enough to face that thing. Whatever it was. She knew that someone, or something had been looking at her for a while from that place before. That's why she'd sensed that something bad was about to happen.
And now that she was out of that place, way away from it, the sense of being watched vanished.
Felicia sighed, and walked aimlessly, avoiding the stares of men and women alike on her body which was covered in her Black Cat outfit. It was crazy that she had so much attention on her but she still wasn't feeling that sense of 'dread' she'd felt at that place.
Anyway, Felicia shook her head, and walked without a place in mind, just enjoying the simple process known as 'walking'.
Then, she felt something.
Something familiar, very much so.
She looked up, and her eyes couldn't help but widen, her mouth opening slightly.
Spider-Man was falling down nose first toward her, splitting the air as he came crashing down in front of her, the impact caused by his feet landing on the ground, and his weight slamming on the ground, were able to form a small crater in the road.
"Wassup love?" he asked, staring at her, or so she deduced; she couldn't really see his face, after all.
Felicia was, meanwhile, wondering what would have happened if he had landed on top of her. She would've been turned into paste, no?
As she was stuck in her thoughts, her mouth was left open, and so were her eyes. Spider-Man chuckled, and leaned to her, his right hand coming forward to close her mouth shut.
"Cat got your tongue?" Spider-Man said, and Felicia couldn't help but notice the playful edge to his tone.
"Y-you wish!" Felicia snorted, and aimed her kneecap at his groin.
"Na-uh," Spider-Man caught her knee, and twisted it slightly, causing her to swirl on her only heel that was on the ground before coming to a stop, her back facing him. "That's a no-go place, love. You can hit me anywhere but there."
Then, he leaned forward, his hands going down her waist as he whispered against her ear.
"And besides," her ear felt ticklish. "It's gonna cost us our future children-"
Felicia blushed at the bastard's attempts, and slammed her elbow in his ribs before grabbing him by the shoulder and throwing him over her shoulder and onto the ground. Then, she got on top of his chest.
– Scssstth!
Her nails extended into sharp claws, a dangerous glint in them. She pressed her nails on his neck.
"Do that again, you fucker." She growled, baring her teeth at him as she purred at him dangerously.
Peter was surprised.
She was… just like a cat, no? a real fucking cat.
He smirked under his mask. He could have easily dodged her, not that she had enough strength to throw him on the ground like that in the first place. The main reason she was even able to do this was that he'd let her.
Peter said nothing, but chuckled as an idea lit up like a bulb inside his head. So, he quickly threw her up, webbed her in a cocoon, and then grabbed her by the chin with his hand. Peter stared at her intently, looking at her scowling face.
He didn't want to miss the reaction he was expecting.
"You bastard…!"
She shouted, but before she could continue, he scratched under her chin, just like he would a cat. Felicia, or more specifically, Black Cat in this case since she was wearing a fucking costume, couldn't stop herself from blushing and accidentally moaning in a soft tone at that. Even her eyes widened.
"Ho~?"
Peter chuckled; sure, he'd expected such a reaction, but this… this was way too much of a reaction.
He scratched her under the chin, again. Once, twice, thrice, and Felicia's face twisted strangely, and she started purring like a cat, her head moving more toward his hand for more caresses and scratches.
"F-fuck!" Felicia growled like an animal, her anger skyrocketing as she thrashed inside the cocoon.
Fearing that this might cause a commotion that would ruin his public image, Peter grabbed the cocoon, and jumped, going faster than he'd ever gone. He only stopped once he was on top of the building he'd just jumped from.
Then, he dropped her cocoon down on it, and unsurprisingly, Black Cat was already out of the cocoon, her nails extended, and the web of cocoon behind her, torn in half.
She ran at him, scratching on his face, but Peter dodged out of the way. He sighed, and raised his hands in the air as a sign of surrender; maybe he shouldn't treat her like a scumbag every time they meet?
Yeah, let's do that. Now that he knew that she could be 'tamed' like a real cat, he could go at his own pace.
"Sorry, sorry." He said, not at all sounding apologetic. "I didn't know you would react like, well, a cat."
"You…!" She hissed, scowling. It seemed that she really wanted to beat him up, but knew better than to do so since she had no real strength against him, and she knew it better than even him. She knew her limits. Sure, she usually aimed higher than she could reach just for the thrill of it, but Felicia wasn't an idiot to know her limit.
"Arrgh!" She growled, and slammed her foot on the ground, purring in anger.
"You fucking bastard!" she shouted, slamming her fist into his gut. Peter sighed internally, and acted as if it hurt him a lot and fell to the growled, curled as if he was in a lot of pain.
"Dayum!" he wheezed. "You're so violent, but I can bare it as long as it is you."
Black Cat panicked slightly, but flushed and stomped on his chest when he started laughing like an idiot. She was fooled, wasn't she?
That sucked ass.
Real bad.
"Sorry, sorry," the annoying bug laughed at her, grabbing his stomach.
Then he stood up, and stopped laughing.
"Okay," he said seriously. "Let me ask something," he neared her, coming closer with every step he took. Felicia knew that something was wrong, so she started backing off slightly, but she hit the wall and couldn't back down more than that.
Spider-Man neared her face, and she looked away. He grabbed her chin, stroking gently before forcing her to look his way.
"You aren't stealing, right Kitten?"
Felicia nodded like a chicken; anything to get away. Fuck dignity. This man was crazy, he manhandled her like crazy, and even though it wasn't right, she… liked it somewhat.
…!
Felicia's eyes widened.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no!
She did NOT just think that!
"N-no, I didn't steal anything." Saying so, she pushed him away slightly, and fortunately enough, he backed away, the sense of dread vanishing.
"Good kitty," he praised genuinely, patting her head fondly.
Felicia blushed further.
Fuck… how embarrassing.
She looked down, biting her lower lip.
"Aww," Spider scratched her chin. "Don't pout now, I'm sorry. I won't do it again." he sighed and backed away, sitting on the edge of the building.
Felicia took her time while Peter just gazed at the horizon. The sun was setting, and it looked absolutely stunning.
The sky was spread in front of him, a golden shine leaking In between the skyscrapers. It was a silky, smooth collusion of skyburst reds and yellows into an awe aspiring tone of golden that compelled him to sit and just stare while thinking of life.
Black Cat seemed lost in her thoughts too, as she'd just sat beside him, gazing at the sunset.
The light peaked through the buildings' glass pans, painting them in a golden canvas of imagery that was comforting, and warm for the eyes, making them forget of the worries.
It was addicting, seeing this; so very much.
But oh well, how long could they stay like this?
So did Felicia think as she sat there, pondering if she should ask his help. He was supposed to be a hero, no? so he'd surely help her. She hoped so, at least. Then again, the bastard was treating her like a plaything, manhandling her quite a lot, so she was worried that he would bother himself with her.
Even though she seemed to unconsciously like his treatment, she did not like it. She was contradicting herself, but it is what it is.
She would've snorted right now if Spider-Man wasn't beside her.
"Hey," she called out after a lot of pondering over the matter. In the end, she decided on asking since, well, there was a big chance he would help her. Felicia was justice for Jessica, and he would get it for her if she couldn't do it herself.
"Yes, Love?" Spider-Man said, seriously.
Felicia did snort this time.
"Can you not call me that?" Felicia scowled. "It sounds dirty."
"As you wish, love." Spider-Man didn't relent.
Fucking bastard.
Felicia wanted to hit someone so bad right about now.
Why was he doing this to her?!
What the fuck did she even do to him?!
'Calm down Felicia, breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out.'
"Anyway," his annoyingly punchable voice sounded. "What did you want to say?"
Felicia ignored him, and continued working on her inner mind, trying to calm herself.
'Blue cat, red cat, orange cat, green cat. Cats are awesome, cats are cool, cats are badass, cats are queens, cats are the obsolutely best, and cats are the obsolute apex of the world. Yes, as expected, cats should rule the world, no, cats should be the rulers of the universe.'
It seemed that she calmed down enough.
Now, she wanted to talk.
"So…"
Anyway, check out my pa treon
