AN: Probably the quickest update after a chapter on this story ever :) I suppose not being at home is leaving me with less distractions on my days off, even if I am responsible for an 8 year old on those days, he does his stuff I do mine :)

Hermione had arrived back from Paris to find most of the house in darkness, Winky met her in the entranceway taking her cloak as she came in the door and directed her to the library. Harry was slumped in his favourite chair in a set of formal robes fast asleep with a book open on his lap. She smiled at the sight and moved to take the book from him, she closed it placing it on the table, glancing at the title she expected it to be a book about whatever era he was researching at the moment and was surprised to see that it was a book on Abraxans. She glanced at him askew, he liked animals as much as anyone, but after being in Hagrid's classes had never really had a desire to study the wizarding animals further.

She was about to levitate him to his room when Winky popped into the room. "Master Harry, you have post, it came with the little Weazy owl."

Harry woke with a groan as he heard Winky talking about the letter and Hermione was tempted to tell him to leave it until the morning, to go to bed and read what Ron had to say the next day. After all it wasn't as if he had tried to contact either them since everything had happened with Ginny he could wait until tomorrow for an answer. She knew that he wouldn't though, he wouldn't be able to sleep until he had read what Ron had to say. Winky disappeared for a minute and returned with a tray of tea placing it down on the table between them and started to pour them both cups. Winky then pressed a cup of tea into Harry's free hand, the other one now holding the letter before disappearing once more.

"I suppose I should read what he has to say," Harry stated as he looked at the envelope, his name scrawled messily on the front.

"You could wait till morning," Hermione offered the option, knowing that he wouldn't take it.

Taking a sip of his tea he placed the cup back down on the table, "Best just to get it over with I think, no doubt this is him officially ending our friendship, better to close that chapter of our life tonight and start a new one in the morning. I hear we are dining at Malfoy Manor tomorrow evening so that you can raid Lucius' library."

Hermione just smiled at him, not surprised in the least that Lucius had obviously written to him about tomorrows dinner, watching as he opened the letter. His face seemed to show his emotions plainly, disbelief and horror being the main two with an undercurrent of anger. Hermione was surprised, it looked like a short note, typical of Ron of course, how he could have upset Harry that much with a few lines she didn't know, especially as he was already aware that their friendship had run its course and wasn't too bothered about it.

Before she could ask he handed her the letter with a muttered, "It's from Ginny." He then stood and began to pace around the library while Hermione read the few lines scribbled on the page. She couldn't believe what the girl had written, clearly she hadn't believed Harry when he had told her that they were over or the statement that he had made to the media, the fact that she thought she could order Harry about and tell him what to tell the media was just hilarious, she could see why Harry was angry.

She waited until he stopped pacing and rejoined her at the table before speaking, "So what are you going to do about her now? She's obviously not just accepting the break up like we hoped she would."

He sighed pulling some parchment towards him and inking a quill, "I'm going to be as blunt as I can be then I am severing contact completely." He then went quiet as he started to write not one but three letters, muttering to himself occasionally. Once he had finished writing she watched as he used a copying charm to duplicate two copies of Ginny's letter and his own before handing them to her to read.

Miss Weasley,

I am replying to your letter merely as a curtesy that will not be repeated. We are not currently on any sort of relationship break, we are no longer together and never will be again. I applaud your taking your studies seriously, but your education is of no interest to me. I am not now or ever waiting for you to educate yourself to stand at my side as I no longer wish to have you there.

While this may seem blunt to you I want there to be no misconception of my words, I am not your boyfriend and never will be again. I would suggest that you put me out of your mind and focus solely on your studies and your own mental wellbeing. Perhaps while you are at St Mungos you could meet with a mind healer to help you understand yourself and your obsessions and find ways to cope.

I will not be responding to any more mail from you in future as I intend to place a return to sender ward on myself. Any mail you try to get to me will be returned to you unopened so you would be better spending your time in other ways than trying to contact me.

Lord Potter-Black

Dear Lord Weasley/Lord Prewitt,

I am writing to you in regards to your sister Ginevra Weasley and her worrying delusions, I have also written to your Lord brother as you are both Lords of her Houses. I have enclosed a copy of the most recent communication that she has sent to me and my response. I am completely severing contact with your sister from here on out in the hopes it may help her realise that there is no longer a relationship between us.

I have advised her to see a mind healer and I implore you to have her assessed at the least. I am of the belief that the obsessive tendencies she shows could be a result of the trauma she suffered in her first year at Hogwarts. As I the Heir of two Houses was not offered the services of a mind healer I very much doubt that the service was offered to your sister either.

Kind Regards,

Lord Harry Potter-Black

Hermione looked through the letters and they certainly said what he needed them to say, she would have perhaps phrased things a bit differently in some places, but she was much more diplomatic than Harry. Although he had become more aware of how to phrase things since starting his lessons with Lucius, at least he didn't just call Ginny a crazy witch, even if he had been muttering it to himself as he wrote.

"Are you going to send them tonight?" Hermione asked, looking at her brother who seemed to be in deep contemplation.

"Tomorrow night I think," Harry replied, "I was going to get Lucius to have a look over them for me first. He might have some ideas for me on how to keep Ginny away, we've all heard the rumours of the crazy gold diggers that have been out to snare him since he and Narcissa announced that they were getting a divorce."

Hermione chuckled, Lucius would certainly have ideas on that one, but then again so did Narcissa. Not wanting to hide things from Harry that she didn't really need to she told him all about her chat with Narcissa about the Black family and their status and how Narcissa would protect the Black family and their reputation. They stayed up for a while longer talking about their days, the book on Abraxans becoming clear to her when Harry mentioned Lucius inviting him to the races with him. It hadn't been that much of a surprise to her that Harry had dined with Lucius that evening alone, she had a feeling that there would be quite a few mealtimes in the future that Harry would be spending with the other Lord if he had his way. Hermione went to bed that evening promising to floo Narcissa first thing in the morning to get her advice on the situation, knowing in her head that they would no doubt end up in a Slytherin style plotting meeting at Malfoy Manor the next day.
