Andy Patton is a judge who lives a lonely life until the day he meets Penny, a young teacher. Their meeting does not only bring romance into his life. It also changes it in a way he could never hope for. But it brings back secrets from his past that he thought were buried long ago. The characters of this story are inspired by gods of the Greek mythology.

''I can only think of one solution, my love. We will elope''.

'My love? Who is he speaking to? Does Paul have a girlfriend and hasn't told anybody?'

''Only if we run away, we can be together, Deirdre''.

'Deirdre? Paul and Deirdre… Are together?'

''I hope one day they will accept it and we'll be able to come back''.

'They are leaving? No, it can't be… Paul would never abandon us. No, no way!'

''I'll deal with everything. In a few days, our new life begins''.

'A few days? So he is serious. He is leaving.'

''When I make all the arrangements, I'll let you know. Just hang in there, okay?… I love you, too''.

Paul hang up, remained thoughtful for a while and went to his bed. Andy hid behind the door to avoid being seen by his brother and then got in the room and sat in the armchair where his brother previously was. He had unwillingly heard Paul's secret and the plans he had for the future. He was in a relationship with Deirdre and none of them had told him. How could it be? He considered her a friend and believed that they shared everything. He was wrong though. He talked to her about his life, his dreams, Katherine but she… She was with his brother and never said anything. All this time she had been in love with Paul and didn't even think to open up to her only true friend, as she herself had said. Lies. Everything she said, were lies. And he believed her like an idiot. He believed that a girl like her could ever really care about him.

'No, she never did. She doesn't care for Paul either. I'm sure she just wants to have fun and is using him.', he thought pretty convinced he was absolutely right.

Deirdre, a dear friend, who in two minutes only, had turned into a liar who manipulated a naive young man and wanted to steal him from his family. Although, Andy would never let that happen. He wouldn't lose Paul. Since the day they lost their parents, Andy had attached to his big brother. Paul had always been his advisor and friend. He always protected him but it seemed like now Andy was supposed to protect Paul. In his mind he worked out the only plan that would keep his brother close. Probably Deirdre would never forgive him. Probably Paul would be hurt. But one day he would understand. Andy had made his decision and had to act immediately. He had only a few days ahead to stop them and that's exactly what he intended to do.
