Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or 6Teen. I do not own the original story this is based on.
Halloween was just around the corner. The mall was decorated with pumpkins, bats, and ghosts. Every store and kiosk was littered with sale signs as customers did their last-minute shopping, mainly from the costume store. Mall goers were dressed up in excitement in all shapes and sizes.
Most had store-bought outfits, but some went the extra mile with making their own costume. They went to every store they could find for just the right items.
There were plenty of people in homemade costumes that looked pretty interesting. A few were dressed as animals like grizzly bears made of colorful cardboard, reindeer made from painted styrofoam, octopuses made from a rainbow of balloons, flamingos made from (mostly pink) knitted yarn, geese made from paper mache, and beavers made of fake fur with leather tails.
While others were dressed up as favorite superheroes and super-heroine. There was plenty of variety with superhero costumes that were being sold. They had been preserved in gift bags as most of the people in the mall were excited to show their admiration to their favorite heroes and heroines as loyal fans. Even Deadpool joined in dressed as Wonder Woman.
You know I look hot!
Though the most impressive belonged to the resident head geek at the mall, Darth, who made a detailed costume of Darth Vader. Everyone was impressed except for a kid dressed up as Dark Laser, who challenged him to a lightsaber duel. The battle between them was epic.
I took a video!
With Hallows Eve coming closer and closer with each passing day, people were really starting to get into the festive mood. Unfortunately, that also meant the annual Halloween pranks and the Penalty Box's traditional scare scared treatment committed by the store owner.
"Ah hahahaha!" Screamed Coach Halder with his hockey mask, escaped convict uniform, and bladeless chainsaw. He startled yet another costume. Luckily, he did after the sale.
"Aha! Hear that Masterson? That's a genuine scare your pants off scream right there. Man, I love Halloween, it can't get here sooner. Oh and good hustle on making that sale." Coach Halder said as he went back into hiding, so he could scare another unsuspecting customer.
"And this time we can make actual sales BEFORE you scare the customers," Jen said behind the counter in a witch costume. She looked cute with the pointy hat and traditional robes, though she made the lower half more of a short skirt.
"Sorry about that. I just couldn't help myself after hearing of a town that celebrates Halloween twice a year! That was the best Summerween ever!"
Jen rolled her eyes. That was a difficult day as they had to call the paramedics twice. She glanced at the warning sign in the front telling of the coach's love of scaring people. A legal move was provided by Ron after the coach tried to scare him. All he got was a ticket for improper use of gardening tools, and after the second call for the hospital, he came saying there had to be a legal warning if such cases were to continue.
While today allowed for sales, it somewhat soured the mood of Coach Halder. People weren't as scared when they saw it coming.
Coach Halder had jumped scared a group of teenagers that just bought some new tennis rackets when they gave a slight jump before one took a selfie. While the promotional material was excellent, and it may have helped with the Halloween spirit, the man sighed as he put down his chainsaw.
"It's just not the same without the gut-wrenching scream," Coach sighed. He walked along with the inventory on the side as Jen put a box back up on the ladder.
"Uhh...coach?" Jen said, pointing to the ladder she was on the man walked under.
"Relax, Masterson. That stuff only jinxes you on Friday the 13th," Coach Halder said, laughing it off.
Or he would have had the boxes of merchandise above not fallen on him. It wasn't anything serious as they mainly carried tennis balls and sports gear, but it still was a lot of boxes. Jen rushed immediately to help.
"Uhhh. . . Welp, serves me right for jinxing myself at this time of year. I better take a 5 minute penalty before heading back for another serving of harmless holiday fear. I don't want this to last all the way till the end of Halloween, that waste all that training I did to frighten the customers extra good this year." Coach Halder said as he made his way to the penalty box and started the timer.
Jen rolled her eyes. It seemed the ladder did more to jog his noggin. But maybe this was for the best.
At least I don't have to worry about being benched for a while...maybe. Jen thought to herself. Her thoughts drifted to Danny, wondering how he was doing. Because of the Halloween sale, the girl didn't have time to call him. She really wanted to show off her costume too.
Things at the Khaki Barn weren't as festive, however. Nikki was still on edge about another ghost attack. The holiday itself was more than enough to have her guard up. And she wasn't the only one. The Clones were scared she brought a curse on the store, despite the fact the last ghost that came was the founder of Khaki Barn.
The blonde, almost identical girls, were all dressed up in "anti-curse" costumes. Though the idea that ghosts wouldn't bother a nun, a vampire hunter, or a shrine priestess was a little far-fetched.
Nikki scoffed as she tapped the Specter Deflector she wore for a belt. She rarely took it off, even contemplating on whether on not to wear it in the shower. Though that was mainly because the punk girl wasn't sure the equipment was waterproof. She called Sam, who was unsure as well.
Tapping the ghost-free belt brought the attention of the Clones. The blonde trio zoomed over to the counter as one of them, Christen, tried to study it.
"Are you sure that will work?" The store manager asked.
"It's keeping you away, so it gotta," Nikki snarked as she took another piece of candy from a nearby bowl. Or she would if Chrissy hadn't taken it.
"And these are for the customers."
Nikki scoffed as she took the bowl back. While it wasn't an important detail, she would have been reprimanded for it if a regular customer hadn't walked in.
"Welcome to the Khaki Barn!" The Clones greeted. Despite being perky and friendly, the identical girls were getting on Nikki's nerves, mainly when they spoke in such a corporate-friendly manner.
I better take a break or hide before I go crazier. Nikki thought as she went to one of her usual napping places while the clones continued to work in their costumes.
The punk girl didn't even bother wearing a costume at all. Instead, she just showed up in her typical attire, gorging on the candy bowl.
However, before Nikki could get very far, Caitlin came in.
"Hey Nikki..."Caitlin greeted.
"Caitlin. You found a costume yet?"
"No, but Jonesy's working at the costume rental. He's gonna hook me up with the hottest costume." Caitlin squeed with joy as she gave a jump. She was going to the big Halloween event at the mall: a monster movie marathon. It was a costumed event, so everyone who didn't dress up was kicked out. "I'm gonna look so hot."
"I'll bet," Nikki snarked, taking another piece of candy.
It was then, Chrissy came back with Kristen and Kirsten. They tried to look authoritative, but their costumes worked against that.
"You've been grazing at the bowl all morning? Those are for the customers." Chrissy commented, vaguely telling the girl to put it down.
"Didn't you guys hear about the fab new diet?" Nikki brought the bowl to the clones. "Lose ten pounds by eating nothing but Halloween candy!"
The Clones, though curious about the legitimacy, immediately jumped for the bowl. The trio had always searched for the newest crazed diet of fashion. So anything to make them thin was definitely a mandatory subject to them.
Nikki promptly ignored her coworkers as she went back to Caitlin. The girl was excited about her costume. While she may not have a date this year, she wanted to turn some heads. She wondered what Jonesy had brought.
While the girls talked, Jonesy and Jude were both making plans...and ogling girls. Mainly doing the latter. The many beautiful and attractive women of the mall were all in the Halloween spirit. With some costumes ranging from tight to revealing, the boys, mainly Jonesy and Jude, were having a time.
"Oh, hello kitty," Jonesy said lecherously as he admired some girls in costumes.
"Dude, the one in the belly dancer is hotter," Jude said in his usual way.
"Definitely," Jonesy said as he went back to his ogling.
The two boys fist-bumped as they continued.
"Dude, sexy fairy," Jude pointed towards an older brunette wearing a sexy, green fairy costume. The boys had a nice view of her legs, back, and shoulder, with the very low cut giving a nice view.
"Nice," Jonesy replied cooly.
"Isn't that Yummy Mummy?" Wyatt added, noticing a kid beside the fairy dressed in a Peter Pan outfit.
It didn't stop the boys from staring, but Wyatt ignored them as he got up to get more coffee. It was a big night, and he needed all the caffeine he could. Regularly drinking the stuff had given him desensitization to the caffeine, and tonight was the big poetry slam at the coffee shop. He had been looking forward to this for a while.
"I better get ready. You guys...try not to get arrested," Wyatt said, leaving.
"No law in staring dude," Jude added.
The mall was festive with its orange, purple, and black decorations. It did help put Wyatt in the mood. The byo wondered if he should've gotten a costume. Probably not. His folks told him they were too busy to trick or treat. Besides, he had another tradition with the boys: pranking Ron the rent-a-cop.
Too bad that's barely done anything to the officer's cold exterior. The last few years didn't precisely wet his pants...or even come close.
Wyatt took another sip of his current cup of coffee. The bitter taste was refreshing as he walked along with the floors of the mall. That is when a guy who was in some kind of dark knight outfit appeared. Wyatt stared at him.
The man definitely would be winning costume contests this year, especially with those flames. But that was for another as the boy continued to the coffee shop.
"Interesting costume," Darth commented. "But I doubt you'll win any contests with the fake fire.
He was immediately silenced when Soul Shredder sliced across. The boy glowed before he disappeared. The Fright Knight glared as he dismounted his trusty steed. The bat-horse flew away as the knight stormed the mall. With his aesthetics, he blended in easily and quickly looked over the list.
"Vlad wants me to harass some kids?! What a foolish endeavor! I should be preparing for my night!"
"THE NIGHT IS SOON AND I MUST PREPARE!
FOR EVERYTHING MY MIGHT IS SHARED!
WITH SWORD AND STEED I SHALL BIDE MY STRENGTH!
SO THAT I MAY SCARE, RIDE, AND RULE TO MY LENGTH!"
The Halloween spirit was fuming. He had other plans, but Vlad had insisted consistently on him coming here. The knight was so mad, he didn't notice someone talking to him.
"Excuse me!" The girl yelled, now grabbing his attention. The Fright Knight turned with vigor, making her back up.
"What do you want!?" The ghost said.
After a few moments, collecting herself, the girl spoke. "I just wanted to know if you were coming to the poetry slam tonight."
"Poetry slam?"
"Yeah. That was an incredible poem you said, so I'm wondering if you were coming."
The Fright Knight stared at the girl, then at his list. He had plenty of time and folded the parchment into a pocket.
"Where is this being held?"
The teens walked into Grind Me. The coffee shop was filled with patrons, all waiting to start the poetry slam. Everyone was excited, holding papers ready with their thoughts and feelings. For some, they had been excited by Caitlin and her costume. Unbeknownst to the girl, Jonesy had supplied her with a showgirl costume similar to a Brazilian Carnival costume. It was a two-piece outfit that was flashy with plumage on the bottom in the back and a headdress. At first, she was embarrassed, but she did like the looks she got from some boys.
Which had Jen and Nikki following her all night. The latter was asked about a costume, but the punk girl decided she was better off as herself.
Jonesy and Jude didn't wear costumes as they continued to stare at the sexy ones.
Though Jonesy was more preoccupied with the indent on his face, courtesy of staring at a girl's chest far too long. The boys could stare, but the girls had limits they had to respect. Too bad the Hispanic boy barely understands that.
Wyatt was preparing his poetry when he noticed the knight from before, standing proudly while staring at the stage. The knight, obviously the Fright Knight, had gallantly walked into the store, adorned by the many patrons.
"Hey man, nice outfit," Wyatt said, walking to the man. "I really dig the flames."
"Thank you!" Fright Knight replied, somehow speaking cordially polite with a hammy tone.
The lights dimmed as the poetry slam started. Everyone took a seat nearby. Some huddled against the Fright Knight, enjoying the ominous glow his flames provided. The ghost was asked to sit in the middle, giving the room a Halloween feel. Everyone snapped their fingers as the first guest took the stage, Coach Halder. The burly man said in his usual athletic and referee-like tone.
"Touchdown! Yet I can't seem to make the kick!
Is it not my time to tackle through and make that winning goal!?"
I got an excellent frontline, but I'm not throwing the towel!
I still got one touchdown left! Thank you."
Everyone snapped in applause as the coach left. Even Jen was impressed by her boss's words. Though she still didn't get poetry. Soon others took to the stage as the night went on. Caitlin would complain about not going to the monster movie marathon, but her friend kept quiet, particularly Wyatt.
Soon, the Fright Knight walked up to the stage. Everyone stared at his imposing presence. The ghost held his sword like a cane in the middle. He spoke in his usual dramatic tone as his voice echoed throughout the mall.
"DARKNESS FALLS!
YET MY SWORD IS JUST DRAWN!
FOR I HAST YET TO CONQUER THE NIGHT!
WITH MY STEED, NIGHTMARE, FLYING THROUGHT THE SKY!
AS FOES COME, THEY ALL NUAGHT!
FOR MY STRENGTH CAN NOT BE FOUGHT!
I RULE THIS NIGHT EVERY YEAR!
NOT EVEN SAMHAIN DO I FEAR!"
The audience was stunned silent before they burst into cheer. The poem was haunting and chilling but gave the crowd joy. The Fright Knight bowed and raised his sword, happy they enjoyed his poetry. Some patrons even threw roses. Where they came from, no one cared.
The Fight Knight had to admit this was a sweet gig, though not in that terminology. However, his business resumed as he brought out the piece of paper and noted the list of names and faces he was supposed to haunt tonight.
But before he could enact his deeds, in came Danny Phantom with charged fists and glowing green eyes. And his entrance did not go noticed as some people recognized him. Others wondered why he could fly.
"Danny Phantom!" A random teen screamed. "What are you doing here!?"
Two days ago
Danny had just come back from school after a long, hard day. And it was definitely the most challenging day so far.
He wanted nothing more than to relax in his room and send his girlfriend, Jen Masterson, an email to pass the time until it was time for his usual ghost patrol duties. However, the moment he opened the front door to his own home. He saw a familiar face in the living room with his father, who was currently stuffing his face with fudgy brownies.
"Danny! Look who decided to pay us a visit?" Jack said between fudge.
Across from the man was Vlad Masters, smugly drinking tea as he eyed Danny with his usual facade.
"Hello, young badger," Vlad said with his faux tone of politeness. "How are you? I hope things haven't been too scary at school."
"Oh, I'm sure your all about eduction," Danny said sarcastically, not that his father noticed.
"Danny, you know as our mayor, Vald is all about making sure you get a good education," Jack said in an oblivious tone as he went to the kitchen to get more snacks. Leaving the two alone. "Be right back. I need more fudge."
"What do ya want?" Danny demanded.
"Why nothing at all." Vlad continued his friendly facade. "I just wanted to come by and chat with an old friend.
Danny didn't believe Masters for a second. He took a seat in the room, glaring at the older halfa. There was no way he'd leave him alone in the house.
"By the way, Daniel," Vlad said, giving the boy a side glance. "I just wanted to you wish you a happy Fright Night. I know things aren't as festive here, especially considering what the mall your girlfriend has planned."
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh, nothing. Just that the Galleria Mall in Toronto will be having a...what would you call it?...a ghostly fright of a time."
Vlad walked out as Danny processed his words. It was apparent the man was revealing his plans, a terrible sign of its own. The only question was why.
But that wasn't important as Danny pieced together the message. His brain went through countless schemes the man could play, but only one came to mind.
A ghost in Canada. But which one?
While Danny had trouble then, it was only after realizing the date that he understood. Making up excuses, not to mention the web of alibis, the ghost boy flew fervently into the Ghost Zone and to a particular portal he saw once before.
Now
"You gotta run! That's not a costume! He's a ghost!" Danny shouted.
"Not a very good ghost," a member of the audience snarked.
"Not like that!"
However, Danny was interrupted as he ducked away from being slapped by the Fright Knight. The ghost boy blinked, wondering why the spirit didn't just slash away with his blade.
"Not here! We'll take our fight elsewhere!" The knightly ghost said as he pointed up.
Danny didn't care what the ghost had to say and charged with glowing fists. He was ready to fight and hopefully win.
But the Fright Knight reached out and gripped his throat as he phased the two through the roof. It was then everyone realized they were the real deal and ran out screaming. The 6teens stood there with dropped jaws. Nikki gripped the Specter Deflector in hopes it was working.
"Great...more ghosts," Nikki snarked in fear. She shivered and trembled, unable to move. It was only when Jen and Caitlin touched her, did the girl realize they had to leave.
Phasing out of Grind Me, the Fright Knight threw Danny away as he drew his blade. It shined with ghostly energy, warning the ghost boy of his strength.
Danny recalled the weapon. Soul Shredder, whoever was sliced, went to a dimension of their worst fears. He definitely didn't want that and needed everyone safe. Which also meant protecting everyone in range without being sliced. It would not be easy, but hero work never is.
Keeping a distance, Danny made use of his ice powers, freezing the knight in midair. While that might have worked in the host boy's dreams, it barely held his foe back as the cold casing cracked and shattered. The boy then conjured a large ice club twice his length to swat the ghost from afar, but Soul Shredder cut it in half like nothing. Which is why our hero thought quickly and blasted the Fright Knight in the chest, throwing him back.
Danny then charged forward, blasting away as he brought out his thermos.
However, Nightmare, the Fright Night's steed, flew in, trampling Danny. It ran over to the Fright Knight, who grabbed the reins and rode into the lit up mall's airspace. While that did not sound as frightening as it should, the fact a powerful ghost was chaotically flying around the mall, full of people, was scary enough as it is. People panicked and ducked for anywhere to hide. Form the hideous bathrooms on the ground floor to behind mannequins in the shops.
Some even hid under others, though they were kicked away as those people ran too.
Danny chased after the Fright Knight, intending to end his night early. There was no way he'd let anyone get hurt, especially Jen and her friends.
"Not on my watch!" Ron the tent-a-cop proclaimed. He held one of the Fentons' anti-ghost equipment, a simple blaster, and had it aimed at the Fright Knight. "Now—" he spoke with cold authority. "—how many times do I have to shoot before you punks leave the premises of the mall?"
Danny dropped a bead of sweat. While he was thankful for the help, he wasn't sure if the officer included him.
The Fright Knight got back in his steed as he flew to the man responsible for knocking him off.
"YOU DARE TO ATTACK ME!? I AM THE SPIRIT OF THIS NIGHT! MY NAME CAUSES MORTALS TO FLEE IN TERROR! THEY ANGUISH AND FEAR IS MY POWER!"
"MmmHmm, I'm sure," Ron said, unfazed by the ghost. He aimed and fired again as the Fright Knight flew around on his steed. "Why don't you try fighting in the war!? Then! You can talk to me about fear!"
The man fired as the 6teens watched in awe. They grew a sense of respect for the cop as he managed to land another hit on the Fright Knight. But this time, the knight wasn't knocked back. It didn't leave a mark as the two entered a staring contest. This gave Danny ample time to launch a sneak attack after freezing Nightmare. The ghost boy zoomed-in, punching the ghost square in the jaw as hard as he could. It knocked the ghost off his steed, away from Ron, and into the Khaki Barn.
Nikki cheered as her place of employment was trashed.
Sadly, her cheering alerted the Fright knight to her location, along with her friends. The ghost pulled out his sheet and saw their faces on it. They were the targets, and it was time to get this chore done. Danny saw the parchment, but he already knew they were being hunted again and not by Skulker.
Fright knight charged at the teens, who had acquired a sense of when they were being chased. Nikki whined at another ghostly encounter, but she soon found the Spector Deflector to work when the ghostly knight tried to grab her. The belt shocked his would-be captor away as Danny delivered a kick to his stomach. It didn't do much, but it helped the teens get away.
The Canadian teens ran to the Lemon, out of habit, and tried to think of a way to get away. Caitlin opened the shop to grab her things. You just couldn't hold very much in a skimpy show girl's outfit. At least, not without it falling off from the weight.
The fright knight was this and decided a different tactic: sending an ecto-energy slash at the lighting above and having it crashing down. Caitlin had just closed the Lemon when they saw the fixture coming down on them.
"Watch out!" Jonesy said as he and the others jumped. Jen tried to, but her costume was caught in the closed lemon. She attempted to pull it out or rip the outfit as the rubble fell towards her, but the material was more substantial than she thought.
"Jen!" Danny cried as he flew around to grab Jen. Despite the situation, he couldn't help noticing the witch costume his girlfriend was wearing. It showed off her looks, and the boy liked how the black highlighted her face a bit. Not to mention the rip in the dress he incidentally made, which showed off her legs. Jen really was a sporty girl with tones thighs and calves.
She looks pretty. The boy thought. I just wish I could say that when we're not being chased by a ghost.
Danny dropped Jen off with her friends. "You should be safe, but I'd advise you run."
The teens did just so, wanting to be as far away from the Fright Knight as possible. ButJen stared at Danny. The way he shouted her name, it made her heart feel warm. The sensation would be like if her boyfriend was there protecting her. She didn't know what to make of it, but she was as grateful as the others.
Danny gave a smile as he started down the Fright Knight, who took a stance with Nightmare.
While Danny put up a good fight. And though he was stronger than before, he was still nowhere near being strong enough to take on the Fright Knight. He needed an edge...like a pumpkin to seal the ghost in. He flew around the knight as he eyed the Halloween decorations. Surely there must be one in sight.
Luckily, the ghost boy found one at the food court, advertising some pie store about its pumpkin pie. While wondering how that worked, Danny took what he had and blasted the Fright Knight away.
"Hey, what's the matter? Can't keep up?" Danny challenged. "I bet you can'tswing that sword for your afterlife!"
That got the Fright knight angry as he dismounted Nightmare and chased after Danny on foot.
The ghost boy swirled around in the air as he led his foe closer to the pie store, veering left right before a pillar. The Fright Knight went to the other side and swung but saw no Danny, who had turned invisible. The ghost boy walked behind his foe and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Excuse me, I'm looking for the king of Halloween, but I can't seem to find him."
That infuriated the Fright Knight, who turned and thrust his blade to skewer the boy. But he saw that his weapon had not pierced Danny but a pumpkin in his hand.
"WHAT! NOOOOOOOOO!" the Halloween spirit cried out. He and his steed were pulled into the fruit as the sword glowed brightly. Within seconds the Fright Knight sealed away, the mall-goers hollered in joy, chanting Danny's name. The ghost boy gave a playful grin as the cheering continued. Darth reappeared next to Danny, his skin a pale white as he shivered.
"That was the most horrifying thing I ever will experience," Darth said with fear. He was glad to be back, hugging and kissing the ghost boy in gratitude, much to Danny's dismay. "For saving me from a fate worse than death, I am now your humble servant!"
Danny backed away, as he was not one to have a butler. Well, except for that one guy back when his parent struck it rich, but that was entirely different.
"Three cheers for Danny Phantom, dudes!" Jude shouted.
Danny blushed and played it off, just happy everyone was alright. He tried to fly off, but the crowd pleaded and begged him to join.
It couldn't hurt to celebrate, and besides, Danny earned it. So, against any argument the boy could think of, he stayed as the food court was cleared of tables and chairs and music played through the mall speakers. Officer Ron knew this wasn't authorized and scrambled through the crowd like he was in the war again. Only this was immensely difficult as the teens discombobulated his sense of direction. It would be a long night before he found his way back to his office.
Danny enjoyed a few dances as fans swarmed him with questions. It was mostly what he was doing, but there had been plenty of girls, including a much older woman. They asked about his dating life. The ghost boy respectfully declined to answer those questions. They made his heart ache for Jen, but all he could do was stare. Not many people could pull his heartstrings.
"Oh, wow." Came a familiar voice.
Well, this one unknowingly made a connection.
Danny turned to see the familiar face of Gwen. Not Tennyson, but the previous date Goth Girl Gwen. It had been months since they last met, and while he was in Phantom form, he was still a sight for sore eyes.
"You're that Danny Phantom guy from Amity Park, right?" Gwen walked up. "I visited there once for a date but never saw you." Stopping a foot away, the goth girl studied the ghost boy. She liked what she saw and gave a grin. "Gotta say, not bad."
"Uhhh thanks," Danny said with a blush.
"Ya know, I don't usually ask this to someone I just met and you probably get this a lot back home, but. Can I get a selfie with you on?" Gwen asked a bit more nervously than usual, yet she didn't know why. All she really knew was that her friends from the "Total Drama" competition show would freak out when she told them about this. She was now happy she came, especially since actually ghosts appeared and crashed things.
Danny decided to comply and let her take the picture since he didn't think it was that big of a deal. It was just part of being a hero.
"Anyway, it's Danny...Miss...but I have to go..."Danny said as he and Gwen leaned towards each other. The goth was usually opposed to such teenage fads. But when would another opportunity for her to meet an actual ghost appear?
After that and a few more, the ghost boy decided he had enough and should probably head home. He gave one last gaze at Jen, wishing he could've joined her as Fenton. A flash from someone's phone snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Hey there, handsome."
Danny sighed, turning around to see another cute girl. This one had brunette hair wearing a princess costume. It was also tailored to be revealing, though not as much as Yummy Mummy. The girl walked up with a sense of standards and charm. Her intentions were obvious as she fingered circles on the ghost boy's chest and grabbed his arm.
"What's a good looking guy like you doing without a girl?"
Danny stepped back and frowned. He was seriously having too many fangirls around him. Plus, this one was different than the last three.
"Honestly, I didn't bring my date," Danny said in a flat, sarcastic tone. The girl noticed and gave a coy and predatory smirk as she leaned in, pushing her chest into the ghost boy and continuing her circles. And because of the height difference, she was about to give Danny a faceful.
"Well, that doesn't seem fair. How about someone shows you a proper reward?" She said flirtatiously. She leaned in with eyes like a hunter and grabbed Danny's hand.
Danny narrowed his eyes at that and phased out of the girl's grip before phasing through her. The girl fell forward, landing with an audible thud and glazed at the boy's audacity. Their eyes didn't meet, and Danny kept walking.
"Sorry, but I have more work to do," He said in a stern tone before walking away, leaving the girl flabbergasted. But this girl wore a small, evil smile. The next time they would meet, things would be different.
"I must say, this is quite the plan," Vlad contemplated from his desk. He shuffled through his paperwork, wearing an almost happy face. "Though I must say, this is...too easy. I hope Daniel can catch on soon."
The man leaned back on his chair. He listened to the radio on his phone as another robbery attempt was ended. While this meant nothing concerning for the citizens, everything was still relatively safe. Vlad gave a smile as he wrote down the next steps of his plan.
"I have to admit, when I became mayor I thought I hit an end, but now, it's becoming the beginning."
His cat, Maddie, purred as she jumped up. Taking a nap, she received a lot of petting as Vlad glanced out the window.
Once again, Happy Halloween! Two chapters in one day! I must say this is very festive. Sadly, it's very late for me and now I must go sleep, but I hope you enjoy this.
