(A/N: Congrats to the reader Spirito1987 because they figured out where Summer's ability was inspired. Honestly, I'm surprised anyone haven't said anything about it. But for real though, how was my fight scene? because this is the first time I actually tried.)
"Hyaa!" Summer, spun her chain-sickle towards Siegfried, who easily blocked it with his great sword. That however wasn't Summer's actual goal as the chain was wrapped around the greatsword.
Summer smirked at this as she tried to pull the greatsword off her father's grip, only for it to be rooted in his grip. She looked baffled before quickly regaining her composure as she ran towards her father to get an advantage off him.
Siegfried on the other hand let her get closer as he wanted to know what her daughter is up to. So when she got closer, he swung at her horizontally, which gave her an advantage as he was wide open.
And as Summer got closer, she yanked her chain to atleast slightly change the direction of her father's greatsword. To which she did not succeed as she was dragged by the force that her father swung his sword.
Summer was then thrown away from him, creating a distance between both of them once more.
"Can't you like... Atleast go easy on your daughter!" She complained whilst gasping for air.
"No can do Summer! That's the reality of things, your enemies won't go easy on you!" He said as he went into his stance once more, gripping his greatsword with both of his hands.
He wanted to engrave this into Summer's mind, because being a Hunstman means that not only will you fight against Grimms, but you will also fight against other humans or faunuses alike. This is because being a Huntsman means that you will get into a conflict with criminals other than hunting... Grimms.
Summer with her newfound vigor, charged at Siegfried. But this time she swung her chain-sickles like a yo-yo at Siegfried and started doing combos. Like a storm, she attacked him non-stop with sparks flying all over the place from the clashes of their iron blade.
Siegfried himself was pushed back a little from the aggressive attacks that her daughter was releasing, and not giving him a single chance to even parry one of her attacks.
Siegfried himself was midly impressed at her daughter, but it looks she was almost out of stamina from her flurry of attacks.
Suddenly, her attacks on him stopped abruptly only to see her gone from his sight. He looked everywhere around the area until it was too late as he looked up. She was already in the air and was just a few meters away from him.
He couldn't block nor could he dodge this, so he had to take the attack head on. But the attack he anticipated never came as Summer landed in front of her father, crouching. She then did something unimaginable... She punched his nuts with all of her strength behind it!
"AAAAHH!" Siegfried yelled out in pain. Even if his Aura protects him from being injured, he will still feel the pain that he received from being attacked.
"I'm not done yet!" She kicked her father's shin, only for her to hear the sound of bones cracking from her own toes!
Siegfried had used his semblance of changing his density at the last second! And now his skin is as hard as a steel! He as one of the best Hunstman in this village had shown his tenacity of recovering nearly instantly when Summer landed a fatal blow on the unspeakable spot!
Summer herself winced from the sound of her bone cracking as she backed away to a safer distance. But! She didn't have enough time as Siegfried changed his density once more, as he is now light as a feather. He rushed at Summer like a blur and kicked her on her torso.
Summer herself didn't have time to react to Siegfried's attack as the air inside of her escaped from her mouth. She was then thrown back to a tree, which was destroyed when her body came into contact, because Siegfried had changed his density at the last second of his attack, showing his mastery over his own semblance.
'Seriously! Did he just changed his density at the last second!' she processed what had happened in that last few exchange, as she had noticed the change in her father's speed.
"Umm... Did I go to far?" Siegfried scratched the back of his head. He knew that her daughter was tough, but he might have gone to far this time.
"Summer are you okay!" He yelled towards the direction she was blown away.
"Yep! I'm fine!" Comfirming that she was fine and dandy.
"But it's not over yet until dad says so." She muttered as she got back up from the dirt ground. She said this because he said they would stop fighting until he says so, and he never did say anything about stopping right now.
"Sheesh... Thank god I have so much Aura." She said as she picked her weapons back up again.
The reason why she didn't use her overpowered semblance in this fight is because she didn't want to rely on it too much, and another reason was that she pretty much sucked at close quarter combat, just like her uncle.
When she picked her weapons back, she ran out of the forest only to see Siegfried in a stance with his weapon in hand once more. "Aw crap... Here we go again." She deadpanned as her father didn't looked injured nor did he have a single scratch on him.
She shook her head and then rushed at her father once more. This time however, her father attacked first and he swings down his greatsword, which was then stabbed into the ground.
Seeing this Summer gulped as she began to sweat. 'This might be harder than I thought, but... This is a fun challenge!' she grinned.
Summer had dodge the first attack to Siegfried's left, but Siegfried wasn't done because he dragged his greatsword that was still stuck inside the earth and dragged it upwards to attack her. This made the dirt flew everywhere as both of their visions was blocked.
Using this as her chance, Summer sneaked around the dirt debris for a sneak attack. But just like last time, her plans of a sneak attack failed once more in front of a veteran as this man decided to eliminate the dirt debris with a swing that generated a powerful gust of wind.
"Nice try Summer." He smirked at her before continuing "But try and use the knowledge that you have about me to your advantage." As he pointed his greatsword at her.
"I'll try!" She nodded in acknowledgement as she closed in on her father and threw dirt into his eyes before moving out of the way.
"Playing dirty I see." He grinned because anything goes in battle and he wanted her daughter to use anything to her advantage.
Summer, using this to her advantage threw her chain-sickle at her father's leg and wrapped it's chain around it. She then tugged her weapon to make her father fall, but just like last time he was not budging.
Siegfried was a little disappointed that Summer was using the same tactic knowing it is going to be all for naught. "It's useless!" He pulled his leg back so that Summer was dragged with her weapon.
'Now!' Summer thought as she was waiting for this moment. Her body was dragged by her father's pull, but at the same time she got closer. With this she quickly arrived by her father's side and once again hitting him in the nuts.
This time her father was prepared as she felt like she had hit a damn metal wall. 'Urgh! That hurts like hell!' she thought as she pulled back her fist.
Using her small stature, she quickly rolled in-between Siegfried's legs and jumped on his back to attack him. Not just attack him, she was trying to strangle him with her chains! And she succeeded in wrapping the chains around his neck.
"Good!" He complimented her. He was blinded and was clearly at a disadvantage because of her. She was adapting and learning from her mistake mid-fight as the battle goes on.
Summer tugged her weapons as hard as she could so that her father would be strangled by her chains and pass out, but Siegfried wasn't having it because he changed his density a little lighter than his original density so that he could jump higher than he normally would be able to. And that he did, because as he jumped high up into the air he made his back faced the ground and changed his density by being heavy so that he would crush her and get her off his back.
"Crap!" Summer cursed as she looked down, she didn't have time to react as they were falling down too fast and finally was crushed by her father's weight.
That counterattack by Siegfried caused a small crater to be created by his semblance and Summer herself was in a daze, almost out of commission as she couldn't fight any longer.
Siegfried rolled out of the way, with Summer's weapon still hanging around Siegfried's neck. He then kneeled near her, and looked at his daughter with worry as he called her out. "Summer... you okay?" With said with a worry tone.
Summer's eyelids flutter as she heard her father calling out to her. "Y-yeah..." She said weakly, still in daze from that last attack.
"Oh good, you're okay." He gave her a thumbs up and a sigh of relief before deflating "But your mom is gonna kill me..."
"H-hehe... Serves you right dad..." She chuckled as the thought of her dad being reprimanded for going to far by her mother was funny, because her lecture can last for a whole 3 hours and even if dinner was ready she wouldn't give them any until she was finished lecturing him.
"Siegfried~" Both of them turned towards the source of someone calling out to him. And did they regret it very much.
A very, very, very angry mother walking up to them slowly as the ground beneath her cracked due to the sheer force of her walking there with anger. She looked like she was about to kill someone as she grinded her teeth in anger.
"Uh... Calm down honey! Summer's fine! See look there's nothing wrong with her!" He picked up Summer by her armpits as he dangles her in front of Scarlet's face.
She was smiling but her eyes wasn't, and as she reached them who were frozen like a deer staring at a headlight, she puts her hand on Siegfried's shoulder. She gripped his shoulder so hard that it was starting to hurt him and his aura started flickering.
"W-we can talk about this!" With a nervous smile, he tried to pacify his wife. It seemed to have an effect on her, but it barely made her calm down as she was still pissed off at her husband.
While that was happening, Summer was frustrated because her father barely put in any effort to beat her and thwart any plan she had came up with. She felt like crying, but she can't because this is all part of the process of improving slowly.
So instead of crying, she bit her lips and gulped down her frustrations. She felt weak without relying on her semblance, so she had to persevere. Her eyes glowing with a brilliant radiant fire as she had made up her mind that she wanted to get stronger without relying on her semblance alone.
She got up from the dirty ground and watched as her parents were fightin- Uh... Not a fight per say? More like a one sided massacre where her mother was beating the crap out of him. Again... For the Nth amount of time.
'hehehe... Even if they're fighting like this from time to time, I can't help but smile.' She was smiling, because she knew that they still love each other even if they are fighting (massacre). After all, it's not an uncommon thing for the people who are in a relationship with each other fight over dumb reasons.
Well... Not in her case really... Because she just got beat up by her father in a spar, and it was not in a good way either.
"I see... So they're fighting again huh." Someone said to her.
Summer quickly turned around with a big smile as she recognises who's voice it belongs to. "Uncle!" She jumped at him, and gave him a hug around his neck. With Enrico being a bit taller than most people, she hung around his neck loosely.
"Summer, for the love God get off me. You're dirty and I just had a shower." Enrico tried prying her off him but to no avail. She was growing up, so he couldn't spoil her as much as he used to even if he wanted. This is because it would likely hinder her growth. Although he was still hesitant about it since he's attached to her.
"Hmrgh..." She pouted. "Why do you seem so... Distant lately? Hmm!? Hmm!?" She narrowed her eyes at him, and closing the gap between their face. Looking at him,
menacingly...
He puts her down, then looks at her straight in the eyes. "Look, Summer... I thought that I should give you some space. You're growing up now, and I... Don't want to hinder your growth as someone who spoils you all the time."
Summer's facial expressions soften as she heard her uncle's reasoning. She too wanted to be someone that can do things on her own without relying on others help, and her uncle was giving her just that kind of environment. Er... Still in the process of trying to give her such an environment... even if it's a slow start.
Enrico himself was bad at this since he had just rediscovered the emotion of love.
Summer acted upset, but she wanted to use this for her advantage. "I guess I can forgive you, but... You have to give me cookies every now and then." She gave him a side glance as she smirked.
Enrico took notice of this and smiled a little. 'Young lady, you are too young to be playing tricks on me. It will take you more than half a century to even do it.' Enrico thought to himself before replying. "Sure, but I'll have to tell your mother about it since she had to reduce how much you can eat, ever since you had that sugar rush." He said, giving her a bland smile. Blackmail at it's finest, simple yet effective.
Summer jolted in fear as she started sweating. "Y-y-you kn-know what! Let's not ge-get too far ahead o-of ourselves!" She quickly tried to end the conversation as soon as she could, because her uncle had taken the lead instead.
"Hmm... Should I tell your mother?" He faked ignorance as he glanced at her. Poor girl was scared of her mother even more than a Goliath.
"Aww c'mon uncle! Don't be like that!" She hit him playfully knowing that her uncle wouldn't betray her... Right? 'Wait... I just got a feeling of déjà vu all of a sudden.' Summer thought to herself as she started shivering and having goosebumps.
Some Part of the Mori Forest, Locust had found nothing during her time within this accursed forest. Although she knows that someone was hiding in this forest as she had found tracks, human footprints that had been scattered throughout the forest.
It gave her a headache when she tried following them, only for them to disappear whenever she gets closer. She suspects that they had some way of hiding their presence, or they had someone with a detection semblance to avoid her.
Whatever it is with these people, she knew that she had to be serious if she ever encounters with them, because she is literally one of the best tracker that Salem has within her force.
'Hmm... This is quite the predicament. These bastards are avoiding me like a 'bug', and it's hindering and slowing down my search. The good thing is that I have confirmed the existence of either humans or faunuses living in this forest.' She thought to herself as she scanned her surroundings.
"This is getting annoying..." She said with frustration, yet her face betrayed her tone as there was no facial expressions to indicate that she was frustrated. It's as if she is like an emotionless puppet with only a single purpose for her existence. Nothing more, nothing less.
"I'll head back for now, trying to chase them anymore is a waste of time. With the Mistress's help, I'm sure it's going to take an even lesser time to track them down." As soon as she ended her monologue, she went exited the forest with no time wasted.
Someone who could easily kill a Titan Grimm must not be left alive. If they were to be, everything that has been planned out will be ruined by this anomaly... an existence that was out of the calculations.
