Tuei found himself in a nostalgic street whereupon he turns to see an elderly man beside him. With a soothing voice, the elder starts a discussion. "Tuei, we need to talk." Tuei felt slightly miffed upon his suggestion with a dull response. "We'll talk later. But the elder insisted, "Or we can talk now, if you let me." Tuei accepted his persistence sorely, "What do we have to talk about? Why now?" The aged man began his consultation, "Because we haven't talked at all for so long, your aunt and I don't even know who you are anymore." Tuei begins to feel a great sense of insecurity from his behaviors his uncle mentioned. "It's just... people are not friendly to us here, everything's so different now. And I don't have a second to figure everything out, Okay? What else can I do?" Tuei's uncle reasoned, " Look, you're a bright boy. As bright as they come. And these are the years when a man changes into the man he's going to become. Just be careful who you change into. If you believe there were things in this world that you had to offer, things you did well, better than everyone else. It's not just a good idea to do those things. It's an obligation to do those things. Don't try to be something else. Great things are gonna happen to you, Tuei. Great things. And with that will come great responsibility. Do you understand? Great responsibility..." The moment between the two fades brightly to unveil Tuei reminiscing the times he and his uncle spent together.
Behind him, Aunt Yui approaches her nephew to check on how he's feeling. "Tuei? Everything alright?" Tuei answered plainly. "I'm getting by. More worried about you, though." Yui reassured him. "You worry too much, my boy. I still have more ahead of me. But if I'm ever a bit behind, I'll be counting on you to lend a hand." Her nephew eased up, "Yeah, thinking about all this if Uncle Bao were here." Upon hearing the name of her late husband, Yui brings in a sense of remembrance within her. "I know, dear. He wouldn't miss this in the world too. But, the best we can do now is to make the most of ourselves for him." Tuei nodded solemnly, "You're right. We've got big days ahead of us." The lone family share a view of the bright sunset as they sail close to their new destination...
A new day approaches, and the vessel has arrived at a nearby docking port. Tuei, Yui, and Chang come down from the transport to discover their arrival. It was unlike anything the two had ever seen. A bustling metropolitan landscape with various local residences and and elegant skylines. "Welcome... to Republic City." Chang announced. The three set out to explore the urban town in Chang's automobile, "If you look there, you'll notice of the south districts. My business lies across from here." Chang said as he was driving. Aunt Yui was fascinated from the sight of the livelihood. "I must say, this is quite spacious than our old home back in Hu Xin. Will we have any accommodations in the meantime?" Chang replied, "Certainly. Once we've sorted out our line of work, I'll show you two your new homestead." The driving soon comes to a halt as they arrive at a local shelter titled, "F.E.A.S.T."
"Here we are. This where you'll take up the path to making a difference." Chang declared. He opens the door for them to enter the shelter. Inside, they were greeted by poverty-stricken but pleasant people, along with a few volunteering employees. Yui can tell that she can fit right in with this community. "My! Such merit and optimism! Will these people be who I'm providing aids for?" Chang answered, "And there may be others who are like them, in fact. Broke, evicted, even orphaned souls lingering out in this city. And it's our job to guide them here and give them a fresh start." He lead the two further into the mess hall to showcase more of F.E.A.S.T.'s work positions. "We offer nourishments and provisions during set times. Our partnership with restaurants and grocery stores are remarkably sufficient. Any extra amount of rations they have come to us and we prepare hot meals for the needy." Yui quickly starts a doting suggestion, "I can surely make a couple of good dishes that can make anyone feel right at home. Wouldn't you agree, Tuei?" as she places her hand on her nephew's shoulder. "Aunt Yui, please." Tuei replied sheepishly. Chang had a quiet chuckle cut in from the moment, but he continued his orientation leading up to his office. "This is where I'll be operating most of the time. Whenever an issue happens or new questions come up, don't be afraid to see me." He closed off. "Oh, does my nephew have a spot to fill too? When should we begin?" Yui asked.
"Well, I'll see what I can do for him. Your job will likely start next afternoon." Chang requested. However, Tuei spoke on the contrary. "I appreciate it, but I'll be fine." Chang insisted humbly, "It's not a problem. I can make a few schedule changes and..." Tuei made up his mind, " No, I couldn't accept it. I'd like to take what I can get. I can find my own work." Chang understood with fascination. "I respect that." Yui expresses her worry on her nephew's decision, "But Tuei, you're out of school now. And you need some way to make upkeep as soon as possible." Chang interjects with a sense of comfort, "He's a smart kid, Yui. I have heard of a few places that require a unique mind like him." After the tour, the two family members were then given a ride from Chang to their residence in the south downtown district. "Here is your new home." he presented. The sight of the new house struck incredibly in Yui and Tuei. An expansive space, a two story height and fresh smell of the city from way across was all they could hope for. Chang warned, "The bills are placed on you two from here. So do your best to get them in time, okay?" Tuei heeded, "We'll try." He and Yui bowed to Chang and the gesture was returned, with Yui expressing her gratitude. "I thank you for this great opportunity you've given us." Chang humbled, "My pleasure. I hope to start working with you tomorrow. Take care of yourselves." He departs in his car, leaving the two to prepare their new house. "Oh, gosh. We must've passed dinner. Why don't I cook us something from your groceries?" Yui suggested. "Do you need any help with it?" her nephew piqued. Yui retorted jokingly, "Aaaww, I know how you are with kitchens." Their light banter plays throughout the evening. All the while, a young ponytailed girl rides on her polar bear-dog, heading for the great Republic City...
