Obi-Wan let out a shaky breath as he opened his eyes. He was alone but he could sense his master and the child nearby. He smiled to himself as he laid there. He kept his eyes closed for he felt the warmth of the force form around him.
Mace could not believe that their plan had worked. They freed them and now the boy can be a Jedi. However, Mace was worried that Mal will find them. He knows he will but at the moment he needs to worry about Obi-Wan and Anakin. Mace smiled to himself as he picked up the baby who was sleeping soundly. The force was strong in him. Mace could feel it. He was strong. Mace never felt this in a youngling before. Mace smiled again at the baby before he made his way to Obi-Wan
He found Obi-Wan sitting up and playing with his hands nervously. Mace sighed and walked over to the cot in the living area and put Anakin down. "Sleep well?" Mace asked sitting down next to his Padawan. Obi-Wan nodded but he didn't say anything for a while. Mace wasn't worried. Obi-Wan was quiet and only spoke when he needed to however the look on the fourteen-year-old face was.
"Yes," Obi-Wan answered looking down at his hands. Mace nodded. "Master?" Obi-Wan asked sounding small. Mace looked up from the floor and nodded.
"Yes, Obi-Wan?" Mace asked.
"What if I fall again? Do the Darkside I mean," Obi-Wan asked looking down at his hands. He didn't want to ask this, but it came out anyway. Mace shook his head.
"That won't happen. If it did. I will do everything to get you back just like when you were a child. Mace said standing up again. Obi-wan smiled a little. He couldn't feel the Darkside anymore, but it will always be a part of him. He knows it.
"When are we leaving?" Obi-Wan asked looking at Anakin who had woken up. Mace walked over to him and looked at the small child.
"Later today. I want to make sure that Maul will leave the planet. Hopefully, he will give up on this for now," Mace said picking up Anakin.
Mace started up the ship while Obi-Wan held Anakin in his lap. The boy was going to be a Jedi. Obi-Wan could not be happier. Even though he sensed a darkness around this boy. Maybe, everything will be ok once they get back to the temple. Obi-Wan nodded to himself as he made a funny face at the boy who giggled.
"I can't wait to get home. I don't like this place," Obi-Wan told the baby who moved his hands around and giggled.
"Too hot of a planet or because slavery is at full force?" Mace asked Obi-Wan. Obi-wan looked up from Anakin and sighed.
"Both," he answered tickling Anakin who giggled. Mace nodded and walked over to an empty chair. He sat down and smiled.
"We are in hyperspace now," Mace said watching Obi-Wan tickle Anakin. Obi-Wan didn't say anything. "He will have a better life,"
"Just like me," Obi-Wan said rocking Anakin.
