Author's note – part "I forget, lol"
Hey all. This past month had me participate in a little side project under the hashtag #ficwip_5k, a yearly project where writers write fics under a 5,000 word limit.
I was able to write three fics for the project and they are on my Archive of our Own profile (under the same username if you want to look me up).
Mid-way through August, I had food poisoning, which sidelined me for a few days creative-wise. While I was still able to go to my job, I was going through bouts of indigestion that didn't quite motivate me to write anything.
I recovered, but August has been a month notorious for giving me the most stress in my life during the year, whether I've been sick, dealt with work related bs, some personal issues either at home or while visiting my parents, there's always something that sapped my creative process.
I did start re-working Chapter 10 of Ascension, but I've run into a wall. Plotting and outlining the Android 18 v Buu fight originally written has been a struggle, mostly due to offline issues that have made it hard to focus on this project.
I don't consider this a hiatus, more of a temporary setback. I'll publish the three fics I worked on for #ficwip_5k in the meantime while I try to get my collective sh*t together so you can see what I've got so far. I like to think I was able to broaden my horizons into territory I haven't tackled yet.
