What's your name (real or screen, your choice)

CT-117

Tell me about yourself, age, where you're from, what you do, anything you want others to know about you, sex, etc.

I live in the state of Washington US. 23 years old. I am a college student just trying to get by as I can with these lockdowns. My hobbies are usually building lego, playing video games and trying to come up with ideas for fanfics that I want to write.

What brought you to the Zootopia fandom?

I watched Zootopia with right around march in my local town movie theater where I live and I was very invested in Zootopia with characters like Nick Wilde, and then I look up on the internet and see a lot of fanart of Zootopia and then fanfiction of Nick and Judy together and with the hype of Star Wars Rogue one happening in December of 2016, I started on drafting my idea of a story along with some other ideas.

Who is your OC today?

Conner Theda Huskly

What animal are they?

Dog Siberian Husky.

How do you think the majority of the Zootopia fandom feel about fics and other content having domestic animals in it?

Well, I am not so sure, haven't asked anyone's thoughts on there being domestic animals like Dogs or cats existing since it's a world filled with wild animals. But to me I think they can exist as a way of fanon. You know a fan making up their own headcanon of how the world of Zootopia functions or the way the story line goes usually.

What do they look like? Special markings, colorations, etc.

Red coat white fur under belly.

What inspired you to create them?

Well, I wanted to create my zoosona as I feel like it would make me part of the fandom but I didn't want to go for a fox or wolf even though those are my favorite wild animals so I went with domesticated Husky dog even tho it might not be possible for there being domesticated dogs or animals in the world of Zootopia but I wanted to make one that would be related to another famous furry character outside of Zootopia, Balto. An idea where Balto and his family could exist in the world of Zootopia along with other dog characters from Balto as well with possibly other domesticated animal characters existing in Zootopia.

So choosing a husky was really a way to be unique and something you already liked?

Yes, I don't know if many people are cool with that, but I might make another Zoosona oc that could fit in the world of Zootopia canonaly accurately.

What are they like?

Sorta shy but will definitely get along with anyone if you have a common interest. Can be lazy at times but can still do work.

You said Connor can be lazy at times. Any reason why that's included?

He shares some characteristics of mine, such as he wants to do the things of his passion but has other duties to attend to such as class work, it's not like he wants to be lazy all the time but can be very distracted from doing what he is told to do depending on the environment.

What's their family life like?

Clearly lives closely with aunt Jenna and uncle Balto in Zootopia, looks up to one of his cousins that serves in the military due to their family's history of service.

Why have him living with his uncle and aunt?

His father died in a car accident when Connor was at a young age, and his mother tried to support him but she couldn't always make ends meet so she sent him to Zootopia where her Sister and mate can look out for him when he was 11 years old. He remembers fondly when his cousins were around but most of them have moved out doing their careers and is like the only pup left, he does want to move out at some point to live the Zootopia life, but he is not sure of what career to pursue in and Uncle Balto thinks he needs to learn a bit of responsibility.

So he still lives at home?

Somewhat, he would like to live in a condo somewhere in Zootopia but Aunt Jenna and Uncle Balto wants him to learn the basics of living in a apartment of paying bills, Connor works at the Zootopia community college as a bookstore employee as a part time job so he does have money income but not enough for him to move out yet. So Balto is his landlord. And there would be times he asks Connor to do simple work for him at home. Connor is capable of doing work but more potential that has yet to be unlocked.

So he's a good deal younger than his cousins?

In a way I think, their (Balto and Jenna) eldest daughter had trouble fitting in the city of Zootopia due to her being a mix of wolf and dog but was able to find her place in the Military air force. Being a mix of a wild animal and domesticated can be very hard since domesticated dogs 300 hundred years ago were breeded for a purpose of being obedient to some mammals. Yeah it's not something fondly remembered as it was in practicing slavery in some nations of Animalia. However, nowadays, dogs are treated fairly in today's society having the same rights as other animals that weren't in selective breeding. Like the city of Zootopia.

Culture is often a big part of stories. How much do you think dog culture would differ from wolf culture?

Do they have a love interest?

Not as of yet.

Do you have any stories written about them or that they're included in?

No, I do want to write a fanfic of where he and Balto's family can exist in the world of zootopia, so far he might be in a fanfic that I currently have in mind in wanting to make or I could work with anyone that's making a Zootopia fanfic that has Balto characters that live there, or just as a background character.

Ultimate Zootopia question. Are you a WildeHopps shipper or do you prefer them with a different ship?

WildeHopps, Judy and Nick seem to make the perfect match and show the world that predator and prey can live in it's the same thing for Balto and Jenna between domesticated and wild even though Balto already has traits of a dog in his DNA.

For the purpose of the OC interview the setting is the creator's OC is about to be interviewed by my co-owned OC Vicky Chola. A north american grey fox vixen in her mid 20s. They're both in a studio booth with headphones on and microphones to speak into. The interview we did earlier about the creator and their OC is considered a pre conversation between these two before going on the air. Vicky will ask questions based on the answers provided by the creator. Enjoy!

"Welcome everyone to another edition of the Characters of Zootopia show! I'm your host Vicky Chola and with me today is Conner Huskly. Thank you for coming on the show today Conner."

"Oh! Uh, hi there? Just a bit shy here."

giggle "Don't worry, you'll warm up to us."

"Well, okay then. Shall we move to the questions?"

"Sure then. So Conner, you're actually the first of your kind on our show. Can you tell our audience a little about yourself?"

"Okay, I am a Siberian Husky dog, I know, there are some dogs that live here in Zootopia."

"Indeed your species are rare. Can you share a little about how dogs, specifically huskies, came to be?"

"Sure, erm, It's been a while since I have studied a book from social studies but I do take a look at Zootube history videos like that labrador dog guy that made that world war history videos series in real time."

"The history of how dogs came to be was right around the era of discovery when some pack of wolves surrender at the paws of some tigers after a great battle during the canine-feline war."

"What some of the tigers did was enslaved some of the lower wolves as a reward for themeselves which they used them for slavery, what the tigers did was that they wanted to find ways to make wolves be completely obident to their masters so they asked for advice from a sheep from the sheep clan herds on how to do selective breeding, finding one of the traits that a wolf has to obey a command when spoken to."

"Honestly, it was really a dark time that a mammal could do such a thing like that, selective breeding for trying to make one based upon their traits, soon some other animal clan and kingdoms in parts of the world would practice this sort of thing based upon a belief that wolves are dangerous and that they should be pacify. And even some would do the same thing to some feline species to make domisticated cats aswell, there's even some conspiracy theories that some bigoted predators hold that it's the sheep who are influnecing this domsitication of canines and felines as a way to replace us predators in their new world order. So even some wolves would think lowly of us dogs for existing since we are not naturally breeded like they are. Like they would call us mutts or lab pups, even the word dog was something derogatory as it meant someone who is a relative of wolves but doesn't know how to think for themselves so they always need a master to command them otherwise they are useless."

"Do you feel any of these stereotypes or prejudices have any basis today?"

"Yes, sometimes you can't change people's minds or bias and that is just part of life really. And it's another thing for people like my uncle."

"That's something else I wanted to ask. How did you come to live with your uncle?"

"Well, chuckles, He's not really my uncle, he's just married to my aunt that makes him uncle in the family. You see, I look a little bit like my aunt who is purely a Husky dog and she's married to a wolf-dog. And the funny thing is that some of their pups look like her and I share the same traits so some of our neighbors will mistaken me as one of their sons, or that I am their youngest son. How I came to live with them is that when I was young, I lived in a different city in a different state, my father died in a car crash and my mother was working so hard to try make ends meet but she couldn't and so she sends me to live with her sister in Zootopia, they were lucky enough to have another bedroom that I could sleep in."

"I'm sorry for your loss. How old were you when that happened?"

"I was about 7 years old when it happened, last I saw of him when he dropped me off at school on that day."

"And when did you move in with your aunt?"

"When I turned 9. So it wasn't easy enough for me to move to a new city as it was hard not seeing your childhood friends any more at school as I had to transfer to a new school, but luckily, Aunt Jenna and Uncle Balto had pups around that I could hang out with, some of them were already a year older than me, some of them being in their teenage years like their eldest daughter was in a bit of rebellious phase, but aunt Jenna made it clear that I should be treated fairly as I am part of their family."

"And were you?"

"Yes, even though they are a mix of wolf and dog they treated me like I was their youngest brother. Doesn't mean there were no dramas at times but we managed."

"Oh yeah, I'm well acquainted with family drama. Are you and your mother still close?"

"It's complicated, I do love her but she has been going through a rough time finding another mate to marry, we do manage to keep in touch through phone calls, so far Aunt Jenna has been like another mother to me."

"How do you feel about her finding someone new?"

"I think she should find someone new if it will bring her happiness but she doesn't want to forget about her first love such as me as I am what's left from her marriage after the death of my father."

"So what do you do now?"

"Just being a student at the Zootopia community college where I even work at a bookstore."

"What are you studying?"

"Studying to become an engineer I think, just also browsing what career I could explore."

"How much longer till you graduate?"

"That, I am not sure. Would like to be out of college when I am past 35 but I still want to figure out what career path I will enjoy in life."

"W-when you're 35 years old?"

"Yeah sorta of, there could be a chance that I might volunteer in the military if that could help set a path for me in life."

"Why do you think it'll take you that long to finish school?"

"Part of life's mysteries you could say."

"Um, okay. You said you might join the military. Any idea what you'd like to do or which branch of service you'd consider?"

"Maybe the air force or navy, they could use someone who likes to use his paws for mechanical work."

"So you feel like you'll graduate when you're 35. How old are you now?"

"20, will be turning 21 this summer."

"So you've still got a long way to go. What do you do with yourself now?"

"Just focus on being a good student along with maintaining my job at the bookstore."

giggles "Sounds boring."

"I know, but that's why I still have some time for hobbies

"Like what?"

"Video games, building Zego and writing. There would be times when me and my cousin would play Pawlo on the Zoobox."

"What's the most exciting thing you've done in Zootopia?"

"No far from it, they took me into their police car and drove all the way to where I live as they wanted to ask my uncle if he knew him, when we got there, aunt Jenna had a worried look as she thought I was arrested but the fox cop that went by Nick Wilde rest assured her that I didn't do anything wrong I didn't realize we were talking with the fox and bunny who solved the missing mammal case, they only wanted to ask Mr. Whitefang if he knew Steele, that's when he came home in time from work, confused with a police car in the street."

"They asked him if he knew a dog that went by the name Steele, and it's clear that Uncle Balto and Aunt Jenna had history with this dog a long time ago that's where he took a trip to memory lane as he explained to them, you see, when Uncle Balto was just a young pup, he was always picked on for being a mix son of a wolf father and a dog mother, and Steele was one of the bullies that picked on him for his heritage and no one didn't seem to defend him, not even by wolves as well. At least he had a Growlissian Bear named Boris Roarznov who watched over him possibly because he knew his mother way back, and aunt Jenna didn't stand by Steele's antics through their teenage and highschool years. And so he wanted to prove something of himself to Steele so he volunteered in the army where Steele was even applying to as well."

"So what came out of all that?"

"Joining the army was the best decision uncle Balto made as he learned a lot of becoming a combat medic as he always thought of wanting to help out people who were in need just as Boris who raised him did, how ever it wasn't so easy as him and Steele and his gang were in the same company but in the army they didn't treat anyone differently even when there was natural born and domesticated animals that worked together in the military."

"Um... I meant the police investigation."

"Oh uh, well... to not make it longer, Steele was discharged from the army after some actions he was caught doing during the war, the police officers have found some evidence on some recent activities that he was involved possibly in a gang, possibly trying to become a mobster. I just wanted to mention my uncle being of service to the nation."

"We're very grateful for his service. Is his service what's inspiring you to consider the military?"

"Yeah, he got recognized as a hero during his tour and is well respected as a doctor at the Zootopia health department. And it's also why some of my cousins are doing their service too."

"Do you have any other family members who served?"

"Yeah, I mean I did mention my eldest cousin is serving in the air force? I should have mentioned her name is Aleu, she looks a bit more wolf than husky but does have her mother's charm and her father's stubbornness. And then there's Kodiak or Kodi the second eldest whose very much a hard worker being a pararescue trooper also part of the air force so they have each other's backs and he's very much dedicated to being a squad leader, I don't know where that trait came from, possibly from uncle Balto."

"So far there are four cousins that I have yet to mention."

"Four who are serving or just cousins?"

"Two of them are not serving, well if you mean not serving in the military as one of them has signed up for the police academy so it narrows it down to one really."

"And these are all the cousins that you grew up with?"

"Yeah, they sorta became the siblings I needed when growing up."

"How so?"

"Well you know me, being a pup that has to live with a family relative after a tragedy and granted that I am an only pup from where I used to live."

"Can you tell us more about them?"

"Oh sure." Wagging tail excitedly

"When you're ready."

"Right, sorry, just got excited there for a moment."

"Alright, so I have mentioned Aleu and Kodiak already. There's Yukon, he's big as a wolf when compared to the average size of a husky but with husky coatings, like height difference he's an inch taller than uncle Balto. He's serving in the marine corps as he is sort of the fighting type not that he wants to get into fights but he would want to look out for his brothers and sisters if they were being picked on in school, almost like a big brother even tho Aleu is the eldest but doesn't matter if he impersonates that if he's taller than anyone else.

"Next there's Dingo, he is a bit of smart-ass of the bunch and a joker but that's what makes him good of being a mechanic, you know fixing things that are broken with machines and tinker with them and that he cares about other mammals that were unfortunate possibly like his father who lost both parents, he's in the army that could use him with his talents and that way get a career.

"And then there's Kya, she's the one that signed up to become a cop as she has a sense of what is right and wrong and wants to be of service for her community and she was impressed when Judy Hopps became the first rabbit police officer for Zootopia, she may look like a beautiful husky gal, but I wouldn't want to anger her if she means serious business.

"And last but not least is Saba, she definitely looks identically to aunt Jenna and shares more of her personality which makes her the sweet girl, unlike all of her siblings who have signed up of being of service, she's enrolling in academia to become a historian as she cares about what we could learn about from the past especially about our city, nation, and the world that we all live in and she's proud of her siblings and her father being of service. I sorta think they should come up here to hear more about their life experiences maybe I could invite them on if they have the time as they are busy right now.

"We touched briefly on what it was like growing up for you. Let's go back to when you first arrived at your aunt's. What do you remember about that experience?"

"Hehehe, well it's possibly a long story, but I'll see what I can remember."

"I remember being on a Mammalian air line with just a photo of my mother and her sister who told me to meet her at the Zoo tac airport. I was only 9 years old and depressed that I am moving to a different state so I had to say goodbye to friends in middle school just so that I could at least be in a family unit stable enough to raise me. Not to forget that I was afraid of living with this family relative because I had heard she married a wolf because of my experiences with wolves and how there was a bully who was a wolf that picked on me for being a Husky dog along with hearing about how wolves can be mean from rumors from the prey kits like how there was the legend of the big bad wolf who would eat mammals. So clearly I was afraid of moving in but my mother assured me that I should only live with them for 6 months if I didn't like living with them so until then I had to give it a try."

"So you flew by yourself and your aunt met you when you landed?"

"Yeah that's what happened, when I came off the aircraft, I saw my aunt who waited there for me for half an hour before my flight came. She was very kind when she approached me, possibly knew that I was going through a hard time moving in with relatives. It was a busy week that day, everyone being in school or at work except for her and as we drove down from the airport to the meadowlands district, I had to ask my aunt a question on if she really had married a wolf. She said 'Well, he's not really all wolf, he's half wolf why do you ask?' I told her of my situation where I had been bullied by a wolf from where I lived at school and it's that some wolves don't like us dogs that often and the tales of the big bad wolf from some prey kids. She reacted a bit angry but it wasn't towards me, just that these notions of wolves being bad that were made up by prey kindergartners, it's not fair to judge them on that, true. Wolves are not creatures that like to be aggressive to others even though it was part of their nature at one point many millennia ago. And she told me that dogs and wolves come from the same canine family as why it's possible for a dog and wolf to have a pup together and can still pass on to bear more pups. And next she told me she felt bad that I was picked on by a wolf as a small pup but the wolf dog she had married is the most kind and gentle being of a dog while having the protective strength of a wolf. 'You might like him as an uncle.' She told me. "

"And what was it like when you finally met him?"

"I didn't get to meet him until later that day as we had come home, just me and aunt Jenna as she showed me around the place, something like a family suburban house. Not cheap but not too fancy, just modest."

"I assumed the wolf dog she had married must have been very wealthy to afford all of these living conditions and asked her if her husband is rich because it seemed rare for a wolfdog to be in the upper class or at least from not what I have heard beforehand. She laughed a bit and told me he isn't that rich like Bill Goats or Steve Paws, this was just the benefits of being served in the army, along with his career of being a doctor. What? He's a doctor? I said as I had so many questions on my mind until we heard the door open at the entrance while hearing someone saying. Mom we're home. That must be the pups, as in your cousins, come down you should introduce yourself to them. Aunt Jenna said to me as we came down the stairs she mentioned to me that I won't be feeling so lonely here as a pup."

"Yes, we talked about them. But you had all these expectations and built up for meeting your uncle. What was it like when you finally met him?"

"I am going to get there, I just wanted to mention how I met my cousins, remember?"

"I appreciate that but we don't have a lot of time left. So if you could just give us a description of what it was like instead of a full on narration we'd appreciate it."

"Oh! Uh? Well alright, I'll try to make it short to get to the part of where uncle Balto comes in. Sorry if I am taking too long." I got introduced to my cousins for the first time or was it? I might have been a newborn pup when my mother and father came to visit Zootopia during a holiday, at least that's what mother told me, but really it felt like meeting them for the first time really. However there were only 5 of my cousins there and I know I have at least six from what Aunt Jenna told me on the way home. Kodi had said that Aleu was going to hang out with some friends for study until two hours later Uncle Balto had come home with her. He wasn't pleased with Aleu because she wasn't hanging out with friends but the wrong crowd but it wasn't like he was disappointed in her but cares for her and they had a bit of a long discussion on things."

"Keep in mind Aleu was only 14 at the time this was happening and aunt Jenna was disturbed by what she heard from Balto when he found Aleu but I guess I shouldn't go into detail until another time in case my wolfdog cousins/adopted siblings could come on the show."

"So the first time you met him he was mad?"

"Well no, I guess it's just part of being a parent to be concerned about their kits or pups when they become a teenager. As Aleu went up to her room, Aunt Jenna introduced me to him, he told me I look a lot like their boys if I only had the husky features and he wasn't so bad. He welcomed me as part of the family. I guess he's the living proof that wolves and dogs aren't so different and can learn to coexist. And their pups are fun to be around with as why they're like siblings I needed to grow up with."

"So meeting and getting to know your uncle was an overall good experience?"

"Yes, he kinda became the father figure I needed after my dad died, and as those 6 months pass by, I was under the guardianship of my aunt and uncle, and that I am not afraid of wolves anymore."

"Well, I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Thank you for joining us."

"Thanks Vicky for having me be on your show."

"Thank you listeners for joining us once again. See you next time."
