Sunni had stirred slightly when Bakugo's annoying first went off. Protests in the form of her threatening to smash his phone were made. Followed by his muffled words of warning as he got up, making his way back to his room, hoping no one else was stirring at this ungodly hour.
Her alarm blared making her cover her ears. The sun was peeping into her cozy room as she yawned and stretched. Half of her bed smelled like that jackass, and she wasn't mad about it. That annoyed her.
She pulled on her uniform and sighed as she looked at her wild curls in the mirror, "This is just ridiculous..." her hands reached out and grabbed a spray bottle, hoping to tame the mane. Once it was somewhat manageable, she applied some mascara and chapstick.
She slightly managed to look put together as she grabbed her books, heading out of the door and to the first class of the day.
Mina had been eyeballing her all day. Other than that, the day was uneventful. She listened to lectures and was informed her hero suit had finally made it from the States. She ate lunch with the girls outside since the sun made itself known. Not to her surprise, but apparently Deki did try to use his body as a lightning rod. He sadly did not succeed.
"What did you do yesterday," Mina leaned on her desk as the last class finished for the day.
Her blue eyes looked at her friend blankly, "I stayed in and did homework. What did you do?"
Pink lips curled into a devilish smile, "I went to check on my bestie of course..."
Fuck, Sunni sighed, "Please, please don't say anything."
"I won't," she held up her pinky finger, "promise."
The red head took it with her own, " We just kept each other company is all."
Mina's eyes sparkled, "you both looked so peaceful."
"Honestly," she leaned forward, keeping her voice low, "I was. I hadn't slept that well in forever. But, it's nothing to make a big deal out of." The red head stood and gathered her things, "I gotta get, Deku will be waiting on me."
Mina grabbed her things, her smile still in place, "I wanna know more later."
Sunni chuckled and casually waived, "Yeah yeah."
"Okay, so," she began, "I wanna see if I can borrow your Kinetic Energy."
Deku was changed out of his uniform, into a pair of red shorts and a white t-shirt, standing in gym Gamma. He blinked, "You want to borrow it?"
She unzipped her dark blue workout jacket and took it off setting it aside, "Yes, I think it would be interesting to try." She pulled her long hair back and adjusted her black tank top, letting out a breath.
"It could be possible I suppose. Kinetic energy is made with motion though, so I would have to be in some sort of motion for this to work," he rubbed his his chin.
"You do realize this could break a limb," Bakugo crossed his arms. Sunni had invited him just in case things went south.
"I'm game to try if he is," she gave Bakugo a reassuring smile, "If I get this, I could use it in the field, possibly with other heroes."
Deku shook out his arms and let out a long breath, "Alright, for science."
Ochako gave a small nod from her place beside Deku, still in her school uniform, "Just don't over due it."
"So should I just like take off or..." The green haired boy paused for a moment, "Wait, if I pull the energy from my legs upward and you link onto it, maybe your legs could use it."
Sunni thought for a moment and nodded, "Exactly. I could either boost up, or use the energy to make a bigger blast or shield."
Something about this made Bakugo uneasy. She was supposed to preform this weekend, if she got hurt...he would probably kill Deku. Why? Well he wasn't sure yet, but he would.
Sunni ran in the opposite direction a good couple of hundred feet and turned to face them, "Alright, let's see what happens."
Deku gave a nod and too off, concentrating his energy into his legs and running it up his body as he quickly approached her. Bakugo narrowed his eyes, watching closely, just in case.
"Now," Deku called to her. Sunni jumped, letting the energy flow up her legs. Once it hit her thighs she pushed off, shooting quickly up into the air. Deku slid to a stop, his green orbs immediately going to his soaring classmate.
The energy was almost overwhelming as it crept up her body. She pulled out a card from the pocket of her leggings and put the energy through it, making it glow a deep purple, "That's new."
She aimed it at a boulder and let it go before she began sailing back to earth. When the card it, a large explosion. Sunni gulped, she didn't realize just how high she had went. "Welp ," she whispered to herself.
"Dammit girl," Bakugo watched as she hurled towards the ground. There was no way she could stick that landing. He took off and aimed his palms at the ground. When he got into range he fired both palms. He was going to kick her ass. When he reached her, he quickly wrapped his arms around her.
"Oh hello," Sunni smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, "Did you come to rescue me?"
"I'm going to kick your ass," He snapped and they landed, him skidding to a stop, "That was a fucking stupid move."
"Oh come on," she whined, "it worked! That boulder is no more!"
He huffed, "If you would have landed wrong, you could have seriously broken something. Don't be an idiot."
Her amused blue eyes looked at his irritated red orbs, "Buuuuut, I didn't."
She removed her hands from him when Deku and Ochako quickly made their way over the the two. Deku had a panicked look on his face, "Are you okay?"
"Yep," she smiled, "that was interesting. I want to do more research into it for next time. I might try it with someone else at some point, just to see."
Ochako let out a breath of relief, "Do you feel okay?"
"I think so...I don't feel any different or anything," she felt her legs, "Everything seems together still." She smiled and patted his shoulder, "I'm not going to push my luck and try again. Thank you for your help!"
Deku smiled, "You're welcome. Next time we'll try something different."
Sunni grabbed her jacket, making her way back towards the dorms when Bakugo gave Deku a glare, "That was reckless...especially for you."
"Kaachan, nothing bad happened," Deku defended, "Besides that could help her in her field training."
Okchako crossed her arms, "Do you have such little faith in him?"
"Stay outta this Airhead, Deku knows firsthand down destructive his quirk is on someone's body," he glanced in the direction Sunni had traveled, "Especially someone who's new to it."
Green orbs blinked for a minute. Was Kaachan actually worried about her? He jumped in the air to catch her without thinking twice or making a big deal out of it. Ochako opened her mouth but Deku stopped her, "I understand where you're coming from. That's why I only used the minimum. I wouldn't put her in that kind of danger."
The blond huffed and walked back towards the dorms. Deku was lucky she hadn't gotten hurt, he'd have lost his temper.
"What was that," Ochako crossed her arms, watching Bakugo's fading form.
Deku had a small smile on his face, "I have an idea, but it doesn't matter." He took her hand, "Let's head back."
Aizawa sat in the comm room of Gamma watching the footage from his practicing students. He kept replaying the moment Midoriya and Sunni made contact.
A frail figure shuffled its way into the room, "What'd you call for?"
"I wanted you to see what these brats have been up to," Aizawa turned to look at him. "It's honestly pretty remarkable."
Toshinori chuckled, "I'm sure it is. They're smart."
Aizawa replayed the tape, "This was the girl I showed you last week. Watch when she and Deku make contact."
His blacked out eyes widened when he saw them make contact, "She's...absorbing One for All..."
The green lightning made itself up her body, exiting from the card she threw. Aizawa nodded, "It's a good thing she had that card. Otherwise she could've been hurt."
Toshiniro nodded and sighed, "Yeah, but, that trick could come in a handy in the field."
"I wonder if it would have the same strong effect with someone else," Aizawa thought out loud, "They'll be in the here on Wednesday, I'll pair them up and see if they attempt it again."
The blond smiled, "They all are starting to look like pro heroes."
The black haired hero turned to his friend with a smirk, "I know. It's surreal."
