He looks like a regular red fox. With colors such as a dark tannish red. Lightly tanned white, and dark brown.
What inspired you to create them?
I was mostly inspired to do a fox character thanks to the furry fandom, but what really inspired me to create Railfox was from an artist named Virmir. Who I commissioned and adore his art.

Railfox is kind, curious and sometimes mischievous. He tends to transform humans into feral foxes to ride his train. He is fat and likes being fat. He usually enjoys himself with some hot tea and some pastries. He also loves blueberries and sometimes becomes one.
Does Railfox exist in the Zootopian universe?
Well, Railfox is basically available to any universe. The Zootopian universe is something that Railfox can be in. I wouldn't say he's only in the Zootopian universe. He's more open to any universes.
You specifically say that Railfox turns humans into foxes. Are you saying you see humans existing in the Zootopian universe or was that just the general idea?
It's more of a general idea
Would railfox turn other mammals into foxes and do you think there would be a specific purpose related to the way foxes are treated in Zootopia?
Yes actually! However they would be feral foxes (Non-anthro). Meaning that they only can use fox noises and calls
So when we interview Railfox what can we expect?
Well... Railfox is mostly neutral but very friendly. He's happy to see some people. However, if someone messes around with him. Railfox would do some mischievous tricks like making anyone fat or turning them into a Fox or a blueberry.

There isn't much detail about Railfox's family.
Do they have a love interest?
Not really, but Railfox has a ton of friends and enjoys hanging out with them.

Not many, but there will be a potential origin story coming soon.
Tell us how you see culture in Zootopia. For example, do all foxes or rabbits have the same culture or is there a difference depending on subspecies or region?
It really depends on them. I think foxes and bunnies are great and I think they can share some interests.
Ultimate Zootopia question. Are you a WildeHopps shipper or do you prefer them with a different ship?
I think they are best of friends and love each other, I don't know about being a couple yet. But I'll be happy either or.
