Elena gasped as she struggled to breathe, pushing on her toes to get away from Vicki. She felt her vision blacken with the lack of air, Vicki's threats barely registering to her as her mind was wracked with fear and her vision darkening by the second.

All at once, the pressure disappeared, and now instead of Vicki squeezing Elena against the wall, the redhead was held high in the air by her older sister Rose. Elena's hand wrapped around her neck trying to ease the lingering pain, her eyes wide as she stared at Rose. This was the first time she had seen her since finding out what she was.

Rose crushed Vicki's esophagus in her hold, glaring at the girl before throwing her across the room, the furniture breaking her fall. Rose glanced at Elena, "Move." She spoke a single word before Vicki lunged towards Rose. Elena scrambled away, standing at the entrance of the home.

Rose frowned at Vicki as the girl charged her with open palms intending to grab some part of Rose's body. The raven-haired vampire was in no mood to play around with Vicki, the awaiting confrontation with her younger sister souring her usual eagerness to cause bodily harm. Sidestepping the weaker vampire, Rose fisted her hands in Vicki's hair holding the girl up and plunging her hand into Vicki's back the hand exiting at her stomach.

When Vicki coughed up blood Rose pulled her hand out, throwing the girl to the floor. Stefan chose that exact moment to walk in, his eyes widened as he took in the state of the recently turned teen. "What is going on here?!" He asked, crouching next to Vicki assessing her condition before he turned towards Rose.

Rose kept eye contact with Stefan, her gaze even as she spoke. "She would've killed your girlfriend if I did nothing. And since I'm getting little thanks, Next time she finds herself in this situation I won't step in." Stefan felt his back stiffen at the lack of warmth in Rose's voice as she regarded Elena, her younger sister. She had told him before that she didn't care for Elena, but the seriousness of that statement was only dawning on him now. Elena was not safe around Damon, less so with Rose.

"What kind of monster are you?! How could you just hurt her like that?!"

Stefan's stomach dropped as Elena screamed at Rose. He saw the moment Rose's cold indifference towards the brunette turned to irritation her eyes becoming bloodshot and veins blackening under her eyes before she sped in Elena's direction. Stefan moved to cut her off, thankfully reaching Rose before she could harm Elena. Stefan placed his hands on Rose's shoulders using all the strength he could gather to hold her back. He knew his efforts were futile and that Rose could easily overpower him. Stefan's eyes widened in surprise when Rose stopped, once again holding steady eye contact with him. The intent to harm or worse kill was still clear in her demeanor, but she did stop, giving Stefan a chance.

Stefan knew Elena stood behind him, watching them, but there was only one thing he could think to do to get Rose to back off. Stefan placed one of his hands low on her waist, the other cupped her neck holding her in his direction. Rose's eyes widened a fraction before she evened out her expression. "Rose, please. Just give her time. She doesn't understand what it's like to be a vampire. She's just afraid." Rose frowned, looking behind him to her sister, before returning her eyes to his.

Blue met his green, searching for something. Stefan felt his heart squeeze and his breathing hitch as Rose's gaze softened her hands coming up to cover his. Her grip tightened and he felt her body lean into his hold before she disappeared.

Stefan felt warmth flood through his body, longing for the girl he couldn't have, before he shook it off, approaching Vicki again, helping her to the couch. Leaving her blood so that she could heal, Stefan approached Elena.

When she began ranting about Vicki's threats and Rose's vampirism his shoulders sagged in relief. She didn't suspect anything; he didn't know what he would have told her if she picked up on his feelings for her older sister.

Rose leaned against her door, hand over her heart as it beat frantically in her chest. When Stefan had touched her, she had felt the usual spark but this time, something had been different. She had felt emotions, feelings of love for him. Rose craved to be in his embrace again, her body remembering the brief moments he had touched her, kissed her.

Rose pinched her eyes close willing herself to forget about Stefan. Rose sighed looking at all the boxes she still had left to unpack. Damon had left before she woke up so she would most likely be stuck in her room the entire day making the space her new home.

Bonnie and Caroline's eyes widened as Damon's car pulled up, Rose stepping out before he drove away. Tyler noticing the girl's silence frowned before turning around. He swallowed before walking towards his girlfriend. "You look… Hot…" Tyler frowned unsure if that was the right thing to say. Rose didn't seem to mind a smile on her face as she wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him. "I know. You don't look too bad yourself." Rose smirked, running her hands from his neck to his naked chest before linking their fingers and dragging him back to Bonnie and Caroline.

Rose was dressed as a Roman gladiator, pairing with Tyler and she had just as much skin exposed as he did. The gold-plated bra covered her sizable breast, her toned stomach exposed and her legs bare on either side as the long skirt she wore had slits on both sides, while covering her front and back. Tyler kissed Rose again as she stopped in front of the younger girls, wandering off to get her a drink. When Tyler was out of earshot Bonnie and Caroline turned their wide eyes to her, mouths open in shock.

"One. The outfit! Two, Tyler?!" The blonde spat out, her mouth opening and closing in her shock. Bonnie unable to voice her words, nodded along with the blonde. Rose rolled her eyes. "One, I look hot. Two, it happened." The girls were unsatisfied with that response but before they could question her further Tyler appeared with her Lockwood special drink, greeting both girls before dragging her to the haunted house.

Rose smirked as he moved them towards the back of the haunted house, where no one was passing through and the light barely reached. Rose pushed Tyler against the wall once they were far enough in the darkness, her patients running thin.

Rose stared into Tyler's eyes her whole body flooding with heat. She brought her mouth to his jaw, kissing along the jaw making her way down to his neck. Tyler's hands fisted in her hair as she left a mark on his skin. "Rose…" He breathed out, bringing her mouth to his. Rose teased Tyler with her lips keeping her tongue firmly in her mouth and denying him when he asked for access. The boy's frustration eventually boiled over, and Tyler let out a feral growl. "Don't tease me!" Rose smirked at him her tongue darting out to wet her lips. "Make me stop." She challenged, her voice eager with a need for him to lose control. Tyler growled again, flipping Rose around and pushing her front against the wall. Tyler latched on to her neck nipping the flesh harshly. He pressed his hardened length against her back, making sure she felt it. Rose moaned in pleasure as Tyler attacked her neck and ground his hardness into the small of her back.

"I'm gonna take you right here… With all these people surrounding us…" The boy breathed, pushing her skirt down, and pushing her underwear to the side spearing into her core with his fingers. Rose moaned at the intrusion, moving to spread her legs apart but Tyler stopped her. He growled low into her ear, making her shiver in pleasure. "Keep them closed, or I stop." The threat was real, and it sent a thrill down her spine. He was rough with his hands, a promise for what he planned to do with his length. It wasn't long before she came, and Tyler's free hand wrapped around her mouth to smother her screams.

He didn't wait until she came down from her orgasm, he flipped her around again, lifting one of her legs onto his arm before he thrust into her roughly without warning. Rose bit down on her lip to stop the sounds from escaping, her sensitive core squeezing Tyler in protest. "Ty!" She gasped out, slapping her hands over her mouth to prevent any moans and screams from sounding out.

Tyler grunted in pleasure and effort as he thrust into Rose at a fast pace, making sure to slam his entire length into her before pulling back out. Tyler smirked as Rose suddenly came again, her walls fluttering around him. "Fuck, you feel soo fucking good Rose." Tyler huffed out looking between them watching in satisfaction as he entered her repeatedly. Rose moaned out, her hands no longer covering her mouth, but clutching Tyler's shoulders so that she could anchor herself. "Oh. My. Fucking. God!" Tyler slowed down his thrusts only to push into her harder, making her words stutter as she spoke. Tyler felt his stomach tighten, signaling his nearing end. He wouldn't last much longer, but he needed her to come again.

Smirking he lifted the leg leaning on his arm over his shoulder, turning Rose to her side. The raven-haired girl couldn't clutch her lover in this position so she settled for the wall, gripping it as best she could, her eyes rolling to the back of her head as Tyler reached further into her core. "Fuck! I'm close… Rose… Fuck… I don't have a…" Rose felt Tyler begin to slow down, but she clenched her walls around him suddenly, making him thrust into her as a reflex.

"It's okay… I'm on the pill." Rose lied, pushing against Tyler to try and keep the rhythm he had abandoned. The words were all Tyler needed to pick up his pace again, pressing her into the wall as he pounded into her, his end near.

Rose's eyes were clenched shut in pleasure, Tyler's name falling from her lips in between moans. Her eyes shot open when Tyler circled her clit, her core fluttering as she came again, this time Tyler following her.

Tyler and Rose breathed hard against each other, Tyler resting against her covered chest. He smiled against her skin, pulling out of her slowly.

"Stefan." Tyler felt his heart stop, anger taking him over. But before he could go off on Rose about mentioning another guy when they had just finished having sex, said boy spoke. "Rose… Uh… I need your help."

Rose still naked righted herself before she turned to Tyler, holding his face in her hands making eye contact so she could compel him. "We finished and then Elena called, she needed me, so we said goodbye. Stefan was never here."

Rose walked away from Tyler, not sparing Stefan a glance as she moved into the crowd. "What's going on?" Rose asked as they walked, her back to the older vampire. Stefan didn't respond, which made her stop and turn around. "How long were you there?" Rose asked her eyes steady as she looked at him. Stefan felt his eyes dilate as he remembered how she looked moments ago, her eyes shut and her face scrunched in pleasure, the sounds that came from her and the name she moaned wishing it was his. Stefan swallowed keeping his heart steady. "Nothing really, just when you were… done." He lied.

Rose sighed, turning around again, "Whatever, what the hell's going on that you came to me for help?" Stefan grateful for the out, began to explain. "Vicki got out, and she's here, looking for Jeremy."

Rose turned around again, this time anger on her face. "Where the hell is she?" The young vampire growled her face changing in her anger. "I don't know, I lost her. I'm trying to track her but there are too many scents, I'm too weak." Rose nodded, extending her senses and trying to find Vicki's smell. When she got it, Rose grabbed Stefan's hand and sped away with him.

Stefan and Rose spotted Vicki speeding past the crowd grabbing her along the way, entering an empty classroom. The door slammed closed behind them and Vicki spun around facing their way. "What you're following me now?" Vicki glared, stomping her foot on the ground resembling a child. Rose rolled her eyes at the new vampire's attitude, scoffing under her breath. "You're not giving us much of a choice." Vicki looked away from Stefan to Rose, her eyes narrowing. "And you suddenly care?" She raised her voice, glaring in her friend's direction. Rose eyed Vicki, her brow twitching in annoyance. "I don't give two shits about you or what you do. But make no mistake, if you so much as look in Jeremy's direction," Rose stepped in front of Vicki, her lips formed in a sneer. "I will kill you."

Stefan reached out and grabbed Rose's arm, gently pulling her back to his side. Stefan saw the fear take Vicki over and the girl stepped back before glancing towards the door. Stefan moved to block her way out when she moved to the exit. "Let me out of here!" Vicki shouted, glancing nervously to Rose who seated herself on a table. "You shouldn't be here Vicki! Crowds like this make it even harder for you to keep yourself under control." Stefan pressed trying to get the girl to understand her situation. "I'm fine." Vicki insisted, a smug smile on her face. "No headache. Your stomachs not screaming at you. You're not feeling lightheaded. Anxious or cranky like if someone looked at you the wrong way you could just rip… their head off!"

Rose's eyes widened in shock. Stefan was being unusually cruel and crass with his pet project that was Vicki. She could tell it was working, Vicki's breathing picked up and she began shaking. "Do you wanna know what that's called? It's called Hunger. And it's only gonna get worse, and worse every minute that you pretend that it's not controlling you." Vicki stepped back looking around, clutching herself as she registered Stefan's words.

"This is a waste of time," Rose muttered next to Stefan as he watched Vicki have a breakdown. "I'm going to find Jeremy, you can deal with her." Before Stefan could reply Rose sped away. He sighed before grabbing Vicki by her arm, leading her out of the classroom.

Rose reached out and grabbed Jeremy by his arm startling him. "Rose! What the hell dude?!" She smirked at him. "You didn't wet yourself, did you?" she teased. The boy glared at her pulling his hand out of her grip. "No! I didn't. And I'm busy right now." Jeremy tried to walk away but Rose grabbed at him again, this time using her superior strength.

"Jeremy, I need to talk to you." The boy stilled watching his oldest sister. She was acting strange. "Can it wait? I'm looking for Vicki." Rose kept her face smooth hiding her reflex reaction to the vampire's name. "I'm moving out." She spoke, effectively grabbing all of his attention and moving his focus away from Vicki. Jeremy paused, hurt clear in his eyes his shoulders slumping. He pushed his hands roughly in his pockets before nodding and following Rose.

They walked until they appeared behind the school away from the noise. "Is it me? Is that why you're moving out." Rose felt her heart simmer in affectionate warmth for her only brother. For all the emotional issues she had, Rose knew she had always cared about Jeremy more than any of her blood relatives, the only one she cared for. "No." She stopped the buses surrounding them. "You will never be the reason for something like this. You know I… Love you right, monkey."

Jeremy's eyes widened, Rose hadn't called him that since they were kids. She had suddenly stopped doing it at some point. And even though it should have been embarrassing Jeremy felt like crying. Rose gave him a small smile, "I haven't called you that in a long time right? I think I'll start using that again, so you don't forget that I love you, okay?" Rose reached out and brought Jeremy into her arms when she realized the boy was starting to cry.

Rose smiled as the taller boy wound his arms around her, crushing her against his chest. She vaguely realized that Jeremy was probably in a lot of pain. Pain which she never helped ease because she was messed up emotionally. Rose sighed pulling back. "I'm gonna be here, from now on. Whatever you need." Jeremy nodded, wiping away the evidence of his tears. He smiled down at her. Rose's eyes widened as Jeremy went flying against a bus, crumpling to the ground moaning in pain.

Vicki stood in front of her, her veins crawling under her eyes, fangs elongated. "Jeremy!" Elena shouted, rushing towards her brother. She grabbed him, letting him lean on her. "What the hell is going on?" He asked, voice shaking in fear as he stared at Vicki's face. Rose turned in their direction nodding to Elena. "Get out of here." Elena hesitated to look between Vicki and Rose. "Now!" Rose growled, shocking the brunette into action.

Vicki rushed in the direction of Jeremy but was intercepted by Rose. Rose grabbed at her and threw her as far as she physically could. Vicki landed hard on the ground but recovered quickly in her hunger haze. Rose was expecting her blindly attack her but instead, Vicki sped away from her, no doubt tracking Elena and Jeremy. "Damnit!" Rose growled following after her.

Elena had barely gotten her and the injured Jeremy through the door when Vicki pounced. She bit into Elena, the screams spurring Rose in the right direction. She sped towards them, pulling Vicki off of Elena. Rose plunged her hand blindly into Vicki's body, piercing her stomach causing the girl to pause in pain. The brief pause was enough for Stefan.

Rose watched as the wood pushed through Vicki's heart. She looked up at Stefan, nodding to him. Simultaneously Stefan and Rose freed the wood and hand from Vicki's body. Tears fell, as she desiccated. Jeremy found the strength to stand, rushing to the girl he loved but Stefan held him away.

Vicki looked up at Rose with a smile on her face, but Rose eyed her with a stone face and cold eyes. Rose was aware of Damon now standing next to her, his familiar scent comforting to her as she watched the person she had called her friend for most of her life die. She vaguely heard Elena speaking to Stefan before the girl approached them.

Rose stared at Vicki's body, unmoving ignoring the fight happening right next to her. She didn't know how long she stood like that before she felt the warmth of Damon's jacket covering her. "Get back to Jeremy… He needs to be…" Damon didn't have the strength to say it. He knew Jeremy was important to Rose. "I'll deal with Vicki." Rose stood still for a moment before she suddenly let out a breath. "Make sure no one will find her. It will cause problems for us if they do." Damon nodded, leaning down next to the body watching Rose's back as she walked away.

Rose stuffed her arms in the leather jacket, sitting on the swing next to Stefan. "Are you okay?" She asked looking straight ahead. Stefan felt his breath hitch as he stared down at his hands clenching them to stop the shaking. "What makes you think I'm not okay?" He retorted. Rose sighed placing her hand in Stefan's. "Because I kind of know you. And you… you're too kind to kill. Doesn't matter if it's by feeding or not." Stefan turned to face her, squeezing her hand. Rose held Stefan's gaze as she spoke, "You are a Vampire. You need to learn to accept death, or you'll just get hurt."

Stefan moved before he could stop himself. He cupped her cheeks pulling her closer, slanting his mouth over hers. He was desperate and grieving for everything that had happened tonight… for everything that had happened since he had been turned. He was filled with so much pain and sadness and the woman he had in his arms now had seen all of that in the short time they had known each other. She was a small light in his darkness… and he knew he couldn't have her. It was wrong to want her.

His heart sped up and his fangs extended as she grabbed at the nape of his neck, pulling the short hairs she could clutch. Suddenly there was blood, his fang having nicked her lip. He pulled away, wiping at his mouth standing up, and distancing himself from Rose. Stefan clutched the porch railing as he tried to calm down.

Rose watched him, hesitant to speak, and before she could the door opened and Elena stepped out of the house. She approached Stefan but stopped short when she realized her sister was present.

Elena spared a brief glance at Stefan before she sat down next to Rose.

"I get that… we might not ever be close or anything remotely like sisters. But we both love Jeremy and care about him more than anything." Elena spoke and Rose didn't contradict her, she wasn't in the mood to be a jackass tonight. "He is in so much pain… and he won't talk to me… he needs you right now." Elena rested her hand between them, holding her palm facing up inviting Rose to connect their hands. "I don't want him to be in pain… I want him to forget… but it's not my decision… you're our older sister and the one Jer loves the most… it's up to you."

Rose couldn't deny that she was surprised, even if her expression remained blank. Elena was the most selfish and controlling person Rose knew, she couldn't handle when others made decisions or ignored what she wanted. "And… I'm sorry… for the way I reacted about you being a vampire. I have no clue what you're going through and I… don't understand why or how you ended up like this or your relationship with Damon… but your my big sister no matter what… for what it's worth." Rose stood up, ignoring her hand. Rose watched as Elena brought the hand back to her lap, the girl bending her head low.

Suddenly Rose was seeing the younger version of the girl, the one that always wanted to be near her. Both her and Jeremy were ridiculously attached to her as a child, Elena less so as she got older and blossomed into the strong personality she was now. But the speech she gave apologizing, and hoping, compromising… Rose saw that little girl again.

Rose threw her head back staring up at the roof. She was feeling more emotions recently than she had ever felt in her life. She wondered if becoming a vampire or meeting Damon was some kind of catalyst that triggered her ability to feel again. The thought sparked another. Growing up Rose had thought that she had some kind of mental or personality disorder… but if vampirism changed something or the strong emotional connection she has with Damon changed that… then the reason she couldn't feel or process emotions as a human might not have been medical… but magical.

Rose came back to herself, staring down at her sister. She reached out and placed her hand on Elena's head smoothing the girl's tousled hair. Elena twitched looking up at Rose slowly lifting her head. Rose brushed Elena's hair behind her ear, "Get cleaned up okay. Jenna will be home soon."

Rose ignored Stefan as the vampire stared at her with wide eyes and a slack jaw. She approached Damon who was waiting for her by the door. "Are you sure you want to do this? I can-" Rose held up her hand stopping him. "I'll do it."

She said nothing further, walking into the house.

Jeremy was curled up on his bed, rocking back and forth his face red and raw with tears. She sat down next to him, placing her arm around him. "Jeremy… I know Elena tried to explain what happened tonight… but right now you're in too much pain… you're always gonna be in too much pain. So what you saw tonight, you don't need to understand it. You might hate me for this… but you need to be okay… I need you to be okay." Jeremy was barely listening to her but she knew he heard. Rose stood up and crouched in front of him. She grabbed his face, staring into his eyes.

"It's done," Rose said as she stepped on the porch. Elena got up from her seat next to Stefan, she ran towards Rose, hugging her before the vampire could react and closing the door to the house behind her.

Rose stared at the closed door, listening to Elena's cries and Jeremy's unsteady breathing. She looked between the brothers the exhaustion of the night finally settling in her body.

"Let's go home."
